Nice that the Pats won even tho they didnt play that well.
Falcons looked awesome out there. First time I was able to see them play this year. They are a force to contend with. Easy to see why they have the number one offense.
For todays games - I am partial to GB but Dallas has the better all around team. I like KC over the Steelers but it depends on who the Steelers actually suit up for the game.

It was really a fantastic game!
Cowboys and Packers was the best game of the playoffs thus far.
Cowboys have come a long way this year. They are mostly young and have some terrific talent. This bodes well for their future.
Packers almost let it slip away.....again. They wont get away with this type of play against the Falcons tho.
Congrats Packers fans.

Fuck yeah my PATS!!!! Love. My. Boys
As an adendum...
No one knows like a pats fan that they can get cocky and fuck it up...so my mom texts me with four minutes left in the fourth and says.
..I don't know Ann. A lot can happen in four minutes lol
I was like.....mom....they'd need to get 3 possessions in 4 minutes and get a td every time. They got denied on the 1 yd line. Its not gonna happen. Stop scaring the dogs lol
Ok no more tipsy posting.
Love my boys. I'm gonna have sweet superbowl dreams tonight. Already told my boss I need that day off <3

Hell Yeah! Let's Go Patriots!
I love these boys, my team! I also take some sick joy knowing so many hate the Patriots. It is curious that, when the Pats were losing (I was still a faithful fan), I heard crickets about anyone hating them.
Anyway.....
I trust our Defense against the Falcons offense. Either way, it will be a great game!
I do want to see GoodHELL hand the Lombardi trophy to the Patriots though.

I miss living in Patriots land where the fans are numerous...and where I can walk into any convenience store and buy shit tons of Pats stuff.
But I love where I live so I will just take solace in your posts.
I too loved them when they couldn't even make the playoffs. 1988 (I think) The year Eason was hurt, Grogan was old and Zolak did his best but..yeah. Three wins that season
Three. I've loved them (and Zolak) ever since.
GO PATS!!!

I'll never root for the "cheater" just saying
Go Falcons...............
Just to set the record straight the Falcons have a higher cheat score than the Pats so if you'll never root for the "cheater" then your shit outa luck but you could root for the lesser cheater and go with New England.
There is a website that has all the teams and their cheat score. The Pats have cheated less than most NFL teams.
• the PATRIOTS are TOUCH BELOW AVERAGE NFL cheaters!
• they have a CheatScore of 25
• the FALCONS are AVERAGE NFL cheaters!
• they have a CheatScore of 29
However perception trumps reality and people will continue with this misconception concerning the Pats for as long as they keep winning.
Here is the link to the site http://yourteamcheats.com/ATL
Here is a list of the biggest cheaters in the NFL:
1. Denver Broncos - 53 cheat score
2. New York Jets - 46 cheat score
3. Pittsburgh Stealers - 41 cheat score
4. San Francisco 49ers and the Indianapolis Colts are tied for 4th place with a cheat score of 37
5. New York Giants - 35 cheat score
6. Baltimore Ravens - 34 cheat score
7. Oakland Raiders - 33 cheat score
8. Miami Dolphins and the Washington Redskins are tied for 8th place with a cheat score of 31
9. Atlanta Falcons and the Green Bay Packers are tied for 9th place with a cheat score of 29
10. Detroit Lions and the Carolina Panthers are tied for 10th place with a cheat score of 27
The Patriots didn't even make it into the top ten which was really the top 14 because there were 4 doubles.
Here is another list with the top ten NFL cheaters and more information about what they have done if anyone is interested.
http://www.therichest.com/sports/football-sports/top-10-nfl-teams-with-the-biggest-history-of-cheating/
I get that no amount of truth or reality will stop the haters, but it makes me feel better to always put the truth out there. I get so tired of people calling my team cheaters. They cheat less than most NFL teams. And yet they keep on winning, while the prolific cheaters keep on losing. Cheating doesn't seem to help losers win.

Thank you for this info! Now can you give us the facts on which players from these were given a four game suspension like Brady?
Thank you for this info! Now can you give us the facts on which players from these were given a four game suspension like Brady?
If you are interested you can look it up yourself. But I will give you one example from the Atlanta Falcons.
PEDSgate (6x since 1997) flag
TEAM: The Atlanta Falcons
SEVERITY:3 out of 5
SUMMARY: Performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) are used by players to illegally improve athletic performance above what legal training and preparation can do.
Players who illegally improve their performance unfairly penalize players who follow the rules. They not only put those players at risk for physical injury, but they also affect their economic livelihood by impacting their perceived value and their ability to secure appropriately-valued playing contracts.
Falcons who have been caught using PEDs
OG Scott Davis (1997)
CB Ray Buchanan (2002)
LB Keith Newman (2003)
OG Matt Lehr (2006)
OLB Robert James (2010)
CB Jalen Collins (2016)
VICTIM: The entire league
PUNISHED? Yes
PUNISHMENT: Each player was suspended for four games for violating the league's performance-enhancing drug policy.
It does seem out of proportion for someone to get suspended for four games for supposedly deflating balls in one game where the other team was never going to catch up, when that is the exact punishment given to players who use performance enhancement drugs over many games or a season. Jalen Collins a cornerback for the Falcons was suspended for 4 games this year for using PEDs.

Lol, you only have to watch Tom Brady throw a few passes to see that he has an extremely accurate and strong arm. He makes most other quarterbacks look really weak and ineffectual - he definitely has in the playoffs so far. And yes he has a winning record and he has been part of it, along with the coaching staff and his teammates.
Root for whoever you want, but really it is obvious who the best quarterbacks are.
Game day tomorrow!
I am planning game day snacks and drinks.

Absolutely! I'm also ready to see the NFL (or whoever has the authority) start fining the refs for blatantly bad calls, instead of dreaming up new rules that make no sense. Aside from some calls that were obviously made out of favoritism, and ultimately robbed a team of a fair shot at a win, I'm enjoying the first glimpse of the teams.

Yes, they did, but the Panthers didn't outplay them, by any stretch of the imagination. The Texans got seriously screwed by some lame ass calls, the largest being an "incomplete pass" that was clearly a fumble that resulted in a touchdown that would have made it a one point spread, before the extra point. There's rust to be knocked off of everyone, but I hope like hell we don't have to suffer through more garbage officiating, like we did last year. Despite it all, Watson and Foreman made an impressive rookie appearance. There's work to be done, but that's what the preseason is all about.

Both lines were making me twitch. Games centered around the easily injured Amendola make me twitch more. Now that he is in the concussion protocol, am hoping they will turn their attention to the multitude of healthier options available.

I'm hoping the Rams do well again this week. Last week caught me by surprise!
:football:
Patriots played much better today. Sorry Saints fans.
They still lost Gronk to what is hopefully a minor groin injury and Hogan was hobbling the entire second half.

How's everyone's teams doing???
I'm not the type of lady to go gaga over football, but back when I had too much time on my hands, I'd watch an afternoon game of football on TV. Not entirely tho.....I'd kind of turn the volume down and let it keep me company while I found things to do out in the kitchen.
Firegal mentioned elsewhere that the Sea Hawks won their game last week..... I haven't seen any reports yet about the Green Bay Packers....although I read the other day that the Atlanta Falcons won the game against the GBPackers.
It's early yet.....so football season should prove to be fairly interesting this year!

My team is 1-1. I am not too happy with that but it is what it is, right now. I'm hoping their next game is much better.

The Los Angeles area has two teams now, after having none for many years.
The Rams are currently in 1st; don't worry they'll screw it up
The NFL is so concerned with the poor performance of the Chargers, that they are considering a move BACK to San Diego.
Goooooooooo Eagles!
I look forward to the Packers game today.
Go Packers!
Game day snacks include cheese stuffed jalapenos and beef fajitas with all the fixings.
