1. In my 20’s I went out drinking and dancing nearly every night, and my favorite place was “The Red Onion”, a chain of restaurant/bars no longer in business. I was dancing up on the bar, and fell and hit my nose (feeling no pain)...once I got up I continued dancing, but I kept wiping my nose to see if it was bleeding. Cut to the restroom when a strange woman said to me “I saw you wiping your nose, that must have been some good shit.” You had to be there...

The bouncer wound up saving me as he tried putting me into his car. You had to be there....

Vintage, gold, Pendleton Wool blanket in mint condition my son gave me that I'll never use for fear of mucking it up that they'll probably have to bury me to get because I can't see myself ever parting with it. He only paid $5.00 for it. I researched it and when I found out what it was worth well it wasn't a lot of money to me at the time but it would have been a tidy sum for him while working his way through freshman year of college. When I let him know what a find he'd let go of and offered it back he said – No, that's okay mom you keep it, you're worth it. :)

2. Monte the Magnificent's Christmas print theme stocking cap with the red pompom on top and elastic stretchy band chin strap. He hates it but begrudgingly puts up with me my madness when I haul it out. He just looks at me like - Oh here we go photos again, well make it quick.

3. Two pieces of artwork and some small plates I picked up all in the most unexpected of places all on the same day for a song. I believe the plates to be a transitional pattern - when one business is sold to another and the new owner uses some of the old stock along with something of theirs rather than let the old inventory/product go to waste –in this case the old owner's logo, on the back with the new owner's relief pattern around the edge. None of these items are worth much if anything at all but I like them. They bring back good memories of an unexpected happy day just when I needed one the most. It was like a sign from the universe - no matter what never give up hope because if you do you just might wind up missing out on whatever good thing/things might be waiting for you just around the corner if you can bring yourself to hold on just one more day longer.

Go on a humanitarian vacation. Go to a poor area in America or a country of your choice (even a communist country like Cuba) and use some of your vacation money to learn about the area and help fund their communities.
Go on a vacation to do something you enjoy like a cooking class in Spain (or New Mexico), tasting wine in Paris (or the wine country in California), or learning to cook Soul food (or Jewish cuisine) in Brooklyn.
Take a stay-cation where you stay home and learn about your area, city, or state. Go on a day tour of your area or city and you can learn interesting things you didn’t know. I plan on doing this in Detroit.

1) anybody at the BOLI office: to find out if I can launch a complaint about my former employer not honoring the 47 hours of vacation pay I never got after giving notice (…).

2) my honey’s mom and dad: to find out the cutest story they remember about my honey. I’ve heard his version but I’m truly interested in how they remember it.

3). The person who keeps entering our property through the wrong gate and why they keep doing it (the office is closed usually by the time I come home from work, I’d ask them too what they intend to do : ie, will they enforce legalese in renter agreement about property violations).

GM3 things you're proud of yourself for.

1: no matter what tries to stop me. I persevere. Getting hit by a semi twice. Almost going blind. Losing my family farm. I have picked myself up from these things and carried on.

2: I own my own house free and clear. It’s small and humble, but it has a massive garden. And everything was it I have manifested.

3: I am incredibly proud of my massive garden. I Love, the beauty garden brings to the person who created as well as those she shares it with. People always know how I’m doing by the quality and quantity of my gardens.
