Good evening everyone :)

Sorry to have been so busy lately...between getting the Rooster started in school, dealing with the house purchase stuff and my regular work the day is pretty full. And, since Rooster doesn't have his computer here until we get moved in and the truck-o-stuff arrives, he's monopolizing my pink laptop.

Dinner tonight was pork chops, mashed potatoes and glazed carrots...and everyone found their own dessert of brownies or jello or ice cream. The boys are getting along well, and had a full blown war of the stuffed pet toys going this evening. I just did the old "duck and cover"...and figured if worse came to worse I'd duck behind Scoote. :giggle: I have the feeling that life in a household of two teenage boys and a pack of animals is going to be interesting!

One more day of school and week 1 is complete. We're headed to Disney's Animal Kingdom on Saturday to belatedly celebrate the Rooster's 13th birthday. Should be fun! :cheesy:

Jake, so glad that you're moved and in your new place. I know that exhausted feeling, but it'll be great for you I'm sure. Once you're enjoying that patio and yard, you'll forget all about the work and hassles.

Wow.. it sounds like you hit the ground running once you arrived. Glad to hear you got Rooster all set up for school.. sorry to hear you are still having issues the the realtor .. My Mom is selling her house as we speak and has a realtor that just decided to put her on the MLS and do a couple open houses so far.. and even when he does those.. My Mom has to email him to find out what happened?? shakes My head. So her contract with him is up in October when that hits.. she is looking elsewhere for help. So I know how you feel (sort of) grins.

Yes, I am all moved in. This weekend will be spent unpacking.. putting up blinds.. curtains.. cleaning.. decorating... and I agree.. once I get done in here and get the yard and patio going.. the move will be a distant memory. smiles.

I hope all is well on this Friday for you, scoote, and Rooster.. and that you all enjoy a peaceful weekend.

Good Evening kitchen patrons,

What a week it has been. I am so glad the weekend is upon us.. I can not even tell you. laughs. As I said above the move is done and over with.. all went well.. and the movers did an excellent job handling My goods. That is always a plus. So this weekend will be cleaning, unpacking, etc. However, I love to do it.. especially the decorating part.. and it will be nice to have everything in it's place.. rummaging though boxes for things I need is not My idea of fun. laughs.

I think an early Fall has finally arrived. The temps this week have been livable especially at night time.

Tonight is date night with My girl.. so I am surely looking forward to that. (f)

Evening to all of My fellow Kitchen dwellers, hope your all doing well tonight. I wanted to stop by and say hi to everyone but also to pass along My wonderful news ........ I went to the doctor today, the one who is helping Me along in My transition, and we had a good long talk today. He has Me scheduled in for two upcoming appointments ~ on September 24th to get complete bloodwork done, and then October 1st for a physical exam to make sure all is well. If all goes well and things check out, I could very well be starting testosterone on October 1st :dance2:

I couldn't be happier knowing that My wish could come true a heck of alot sooner than I had ever expected, and I just had to share that news with all of My wonderful friends :D

They're 3 years apart...newly 13 and very soon to be 16, so we have our hands full. I keep telling Scoote that when we get the house I'm gonna just shove food out to the pool area and run to hide in the bedroom. :giggle:

So glad to hear you're moved in Jake. It's an exhausting process. Ironically, the seller's realtor is more on the ball than ours, but it seems like we're moving forward again. We'll be living out of suitcases for a few weeks or a month...but I keep telling myself it will be worth it in the end.

Braedon, I'm so happy for you...and hope it's everything you want it to be. :rrose: The older I get, the more I think it doesn't actually matter what you want in life...as long as you know what equals happiness for you and pursue it. I work a lot with seniors, and the only really heartfelt regrets I hear about aren't the mistakes people made, but rather the things they always wanted to do and never did.

Rooster is after my laptop again...so I'll be back when he relinquishes possession. :)

It has been hectic around my house the last few days; trying to get everything finalized for school, having my bro look at my car and finding out that I broke one of my motor mounts. Thank goodness he knows how to fix cars and the parts are cheap, so he is going to do it. I have an Avon meeting today at 5:30p or I would have gone swimming with Lisa and the kids at her aunt's house.

Good Afternoon lovely kitchen patrons,

Well it is a breezy and sunny day here today.. and I am liking it alot. Just being able to have the windows open and a cool breeze blowing through My place is enough to make Me smile.

I am still unpacking.. right now I have the livingroom almost all put together.. I just have to hang My artwork and set up My jewelry table.. and I should be pretty much done. The only thing left will be to decide what type of drapes to put in here .. and also install blinds. Also, I found out as I was arranging the furniture yesterday that I now have room for a fish tank. I have had one in all the places I have lived since I can not remember when. So I will probably do a 30 gallon again.. and it will be freshwater. I have tried a saltwater once before.. and while they are beautiful.. they are also alot of maintenance.. and you want to pitch a fit if a fish dies.. because the fish are quite expensive.

Other than that.. spending time with My girl.. which is a joy in itself.. tonight is date night .. (f) :love1:

I hope everyone is having a peaceful Sunday.. and gearing up for the week ahead..

Good evening everyone :)

We've been busy, busy...and sounds like we aren't the only ones.

Pizza is good....and I have baked ham, mashed potatoes and green beans for those that prefer it. :eating:

We finally heard from the asset manager, who hiked the price of the house a bit on us (expected). Still a good value, so we're saying yes and trying to move it all along so we can get Rooster off the couch and into a room and a bed again.

The road here has been bumpy. We had one kitty vanish right before we moved, and no sightings from either the tenant or the friend who was going to look. Another cat vanished on Saturday. He's always been one of those half-wild ones (half Siamese and never very friendly)...so he's probably fine, but it's been a bit rough on Rooster. Six months ago we had 8 animals, and now we're down to 3...one aging bunny died, the other given away to a nice woman who takes them to nursing homes and schools...2 cats vanished...and one dog given to a friend.

Hopefully we'll be able to close quickly on the house and get everyone settled.

Hope school went well Zimmy :) And glad to hear that Jake is getting settled in to the new place. I'm not sure what to say about the gigolo bike durrrrrrr and dark_crystal... :giggle:

Loved class! I found my textbook for my Microbiology class on Ebay for $22, now I can take my textbook back and return it. My anatomy professor is telling us, that we don't need the $218 textbook, so I am taking Lisa's anatomy book in tomorrow and if he approves it, then another textbook will be returned! I am sending hugs to all of you! Losing a pet, especially one that is a member of the family, is rough. How did Rooster like Disney?

I am off to read my anatomy lab manual and do the exercises in it!

Good morning everyone :)

Running late and just making a quick dash through...setting out fresh fruit, bagels and cream cheese...and putting on a pot of coffee as well :bringcoffee:

I've got less time to post in the morning since the daily schedule here is a bit whackier for me, at least until we get into our house. Instead of one kiddo going to school 5 minutes from the house, there are two separate runs....the Prince to the high school and then Rooster to the middle school...and then back again in the afternoon...and the schools are both close to the new house and farther from the current apartment.

Disney on Saturday was fun...both Rooster and I have been going every year for the last 5 or so, but it was Scoote and the Prince's first Disney experience. :)

I'm off to finish up my "homework" before my mentoring call. Soooo glad to hear school is going well Zimmy...and bravo to you for being able to do those dissections. I'd lose my cookies :giggle:

Well the professor ok'd Lisa's anatomy book, so I am going to be returning it in the morning! I am returning $370 worth of textbooks and I am excited...My biology teacher hasn't posted anything about what our homework is going to be this week, so I am kinda getting worried. I have my first microbiology lab tomorrow morning at 8am and I am done with classes at 5pm; then I am coming home to do homework..

Jo Jo, Disney is a lot of fun. You, Scoote and the boys should go during the winter when MGM studios does the Festival of the Lights; it is very gorgeous! We are having another get together in October. A few of us from the dash site are getting together for Orlando Pride which is the weekend of October 10th and we are meeting up for the parade if you all want to join us.

Good Evening to all the fine kitchen patrons,

Can I just get this out of the way?? I am OVER the heat and humidity. I have one a/c unit in My new place and it is not pushing out enough BTU's to cool the whole place down. It is so hot and humid that I do not even want to move. mutters. I hate to go and spend $ on a bigger unit when more than likely cooler temps should be arriving. However, I can not rely on the weather guessers either. So I am probably going to bite the bullet and buy another unit and install it here in the livingroom, this is just unbearable.

laughing. Because I know scoote is going to come in here and say.. "what is the problem, there is nothing wrong with heat and humidity?"...

Work is going great.. just trying to adjust to a different type of schedule than I have ever had before. However, the company is awesome and that makes it worthwhile.

I pretty much have the place together. I need to install the blinds and curtains this coming weekend.. where I believe our temps are supposed to go down into the 70's.. there is no way in the hottest days of Hell I am doing it in this heat. laughs.

I hope everyone is celebrating the National Holiday of Hump Day in fine fashion. grins.

Today was a good day, and I'm sooooo glad to be down here with my sweetie.

I hear you on the heat Jake. Being up there in the heatwave with no a/c was killing me. It's hot and humid here, but you really only feel it when you're outside, or hopping into that hot car. The apartment, like most places here, has central air, so it's blissfully cool.

Braedon...hope things get better for you. You're in my thoughts. :rrose:

We got to babysit a little angel this afternoon...her pic is in Scoote's gallery. Such a doll...if we didn't like her mama so much we'd be tempted to steal her. :giggle:

My sweetie is working late, but homework is done, the boys are fed, dishes are washed and her plate is waiting for whenever she makes it back. It's been a busy day for both of us! I even managed to be productive at work...even on very little sleep....so I probably won't make it up late tonight. :giggle:

It's been a long week, and my eyelids are drooping already. I even asked Scoote to bring home pizza for dinner :giggle:

I'm glad it's a 3 day weekend...just wish it was for my sweetie as well. We're thinking it's a beach day on Saturday. For Sunday and Monday it's just me, the Prince and Rooster...so we'll have to see if we can come up with something fun to do.

Anyone have fun plans?

:wine:I'm putting a nice Sirloin Tip roast in the slow cooker, along with the little potatoes, the tiny onions, some butternut squash, and bread that is rainbow coloured...a little bit of food colouring won't kill us, will it? :happyjump:

I can feel that disappointment.. and just let it go... you will have more chances.. and look at it this way... on that questions you got incorrect.. you now know what you need to study on a bit more. I am not a great test taker at all.. I used to love doing the homework. However, when it came to tests I would freeze and My mind would go blank.. so take heart.. perhaps a new style of studying is in order? smiles.

Breakfast is on me this morning...I am in the mood to cook...some bacon and pancakes...hmmm....maybe banana pancakes with raspberry syrup.....of course coffee, tea, Dr. Pepper, and juice du jour.

Zimmy...keep up the good work on your grades. They do matter when you graduate...it can give you the edge when it comes to job hunting. Of course, I am a nerd when it comes to that lol. I had a 3.8 and made the dean's list every semester...and had NO life while in school...so maybe you don't want to listen to me :)

Off to play for a bit then get seriously down on some laundry...or maybe start laundry now then play...either way I want to spend some time with my Butch this morning before Hy has to run off to workie for the day.

Another weekend behind Me.. and sadly I do not have today off.. however, I will get paid time and a half or double time for working it.. so I guess that is the bright side. laughs. Also, My girl and I get to spend time together this morning before I go in.. because she has the day off... so that is the brighter bright side. (f)

I am 99% unpacked.. just a couple of boxes to go and the place will be done. I received a great compliment from My landlord who stopped by over the weekend in regards to how clean and well decorated the place is.. so that made Me feel good. I take pride in My surroundings.

Hola Mi Amigos!

Jake, I have coloring pencils that I am using to color in the different sections of the abdominal cavity for anatomy and it is a lot of fun. I am going to study harder for the next quiz and I am not worried about the previous quiz.

MountainStar, I had a 3.0 for two years while at DeVry and made the National Dean's List and I am going to work myself silly to make a good grade..Us Nerds are cute and I love messing with my best friend, when I can answer a question on Jeopardy that she has no clue what it is...Heheh..

Scoote, Glad to hear that you all are doing good down in South Florida! Hopefully they will hurry up and get you all moved into that house! Lottery Gods are against us working class ppl, since most of the ppl who hit the Lottery are wealthy...

Good afternoon everyone :)

It's been a busy, but fun weekend...lots of beach time, shell hunting and today shopping for new beds for the boys (and bedroom furniture for the Prince as well). We actually had fun at the furniture store...Rooster wanted to bring home a massage chair...then a stop at Barnes & Noble for latte and new books...a quick stop to deliver lunch to Scoote (and a pizza making lesson for Rooster)...and finally back home again supervising the last of the Rooster's weekend homework.

I'm glad you're enjoying the drama-free zone MStar :) It's my favorite place for sure.

Sounds like your new place is working out well Jake. I'll be glad when we can do the same and get unpacked and decorate. It will feel sooooo good.

And I agree with the others Zimmy...don't sweat the test. It's not a great feeling, but it does show you where you need to focus your studying efforts. I'm sure you'll do well in the end. :rrose:

Not a clue what I'm making for dinner tonight....hmmmmm.....

Now....i gotta tell u all something i learned over the weekend...dont tell Jo i told y'all tho...we went to Sanibel Island for weekend for my kids bday...stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriot....very nice hotel...except there were some issues in our room that turn my sweet,well mannered,quiet girlfriend into a white trash trailer park brawler contemplating on meeting the desk clerk in the parking lot after her shift to beat her down....now i must say at first i was a bit surprised but as the veins in her neck started to bulge to the point of being able to see her pulse,watching as spit spewed from between her clenched teeth i became a lil turned on---of course i didnt tell her bc i was quite enjoying this newly discovered side of her...needless to say she danaged to get 50% off of our stay....

we did have a good time over all tho...saw 3 manatees cruising the shoreline and watched 3 dolphins playing in the wake of the boat....not to mention we found some great shells...add to that the fact that my baby can no longer be called casper the ghost as she is getting some color from this wonderful Florida sun

and just an fyi....we havent left the planet we are just trying to adjust to our cramped living arrangements, getting used to one anothers quirks and things,the slowness with which the bank is moving and an agent that is--well lets just say i believe JO is contemplating hunting him down and kicking some sense into him

so i hope everyones Monday is going well and JO says hi

School has gone to the back of my brain for the second. I have some family probs that I am dealing with. It was so bad on Labor Day, that my mother wouldn't stop crying. My bro's ex g/f and the mother of his 3 year old daughter moved to the Fort Lauderdale area without telling anyone to live with some guy that she had met off of the internet. My brother came unglued and had to borrow the money to get an attorney and take her dumb ass to court. So needless to say, my classes are suffering right now but I am working very hard this week to catch up.

I am thinking of a huge breakfast this morning with whatever it is you all want and plenty of coffee....

Wow.. I am sorry to hear this. That has to have made your Brother just red hot and worried about his daughter. I can not even imagine. Especially knowing that the ex just took off and is moving in with someone she barely knows. Doing it on your own is one thing.. involving a child is another ball of wax all together. I will keep your family in My thoughts.. especially your niece.. because she out of everyone is not old enough to make a choice as to where she resides...nods.

Zimmy, you also have to take care of you. I understand you are upset for your Brother and worried about your niece and Mom too..but you have to try your best to keep at those studies.. as best you can.. or talk to your professors and ask for a bit of leeway until you can get back at it full steam. I know it is hard to put your worries aside and keep your nose to the grindstone.. I have been there .. especially in college.. however, just do the best you can.. and like I mentioned let your professors know if you need some extra time with things.. I found that when I clued Mine in.. they were more than willing to give Me some help rather than see My grades suffer.

Also, you have friends here.. and I am sure all of us.. would help in some way if you needed.. so please do not hesitate to ask.. you can PM Me.. if you need any help with your studies.. or just to talk. ok?

Good evening everyone :) and there's plenty of lasagna left over, so that's what we're having tonight. :chef2:

It has been busy, with lots of adjustments, but overall we're getting it sorted out on the important stuff. The boys are getting along as well as two teenage boys can (which means flying objects and fart jokes mixed in with the companionable silences and real conversations.) We've lost two cats in the move (one still in NY and one shortly after we got here)...but the remaining critters are settling in well. And, even though annoyingly slow, we're actually making progress on the house.

Sanibel and Captiva were beautiful...and I loved seeing the dolphins and manatees...wading out waist deep into the gulf to hunt for shells. And...bulging neck veins aside...I didn't jump over the front desk and slap the clerk (richly deserved and ooooooooohhhhhh so tempting)...so I did good! :bomb:

Absolutely can't wait to meet you MStar and Jake....and I'm happy to help research airfares if needed. :) And I hope things work out in the family Zimmy...that kind of thing is so hard to take. It always amazes me how many people don't think of their children first.

Rooster is going to be stealing my laptop soon...but I'll try to do better at dropping in! :)

I am doing a lot better this week and I am truly enjoying my classes. I told one of my group members that she needed to either shape up or ship out. Thank you for the support and I will be going to court that day. The hardest thing about all of this, is that next Tuesday the 21st will be her 4th birthday and the first one that my family will not be celebrating. My bro did the best thing and that was hire a lawyer. I am looking forward to Pride in October, when a few of us from the dash site are going to get together on October 10th and have a blast.

Scoot, if you, Jo Jo and the kids want to attend then come join us and help us make Orlando never forget us...Hehe...

Wow.. I am sorry to hear this. That has to have made your Brother just red hot and worried about his daughter. I can not even imagine. Especially knowing that the ex just took off and is moving in with someone she barely knows. Doing it on your own is one thing.. involving a child is another ball of wax all together. I will keep your family in My thoughts.. especially your niece.. because she out of everyone is not old enough to make a choice as to where she resides...nods.

Zimmy, you also have to take care of you. I understand you are upset for your Brother and worried about your niece and Mom too..but you have to try your best to keep at those studies.. as best you can.. or talk to your professors and ask for a bit of leeway until you can get back at it full steam. I know it is hard to put your worries aside and keep your nose to the grindstone.. I have been there .. especially in college.. however, just do the best you can.. and like I mentioned let your professors know if you need some extra time with things.. I found that when I clued Mine in.. they were more than willing to give Me some help rather than see My grades suffer.

Also, you have friends here.. and I am sure all of us.. would help in some way if you needed.. so please do not hesitate to ask.. you can PM Me.. if you need any help with your studies.. or just to talk. ok?

Jake....i use old age as an excuse more often than not....seems to work well most of time..*chuckles* that would be cool if we could all meet up at end of month...maybe talk to JO...she is a genius at finding low airfares--just ask Zimmy...as i recall she found a great rate for her to fly clear from other side of country back home to florida

my honey is fixing lasagna for dinner...i'll have her fix enough for everybody....maybe a nice green salad,some mozzarella cheese bread as well....did i mention she is an awesome cook?

Hi Jo ... I can not wait to meet you and scoote too.. ah yes... I hear you are the guru of airfare.. grins.. My girl actually found a pretty decent rate through.. JetBlue.. it just amazes Me though the amount they charge when you want to fly down just for a couple of days and right back.. it is actually cheaper to stay longer.. and if I could.. I would indeed.. and get on that big ship with My girl.. smiles..

I am glad things are starting to settle down for you and scoote and the kids.. as much as you can be settled down right now..

You know I would like to say.. well she is 4 and she will not remember it.. however, kids these days are alot more "savvy" and pick up on things I think.. than even when I was that age... I remember bits and pieces.. however, even My niece and nephew remember things from a young age.. I hope there is some way to let her have a special day.. even with all of this going on.

Oh and you are right.. the best thing your brother could have done was getting that lawyer.. he needs to get everything hammered out and down on paper..

That is cool that you are going to "do up" Pride in October.. that will be a nice break for you from your studies and all of the family stuff going on.

When she comes home, we are going to throw her a huge ass birthday party. I just finished both of my quizzes for the biolgoy lab class and since I have been up since 5am, I am thinking of going to bed early and finish my anatomy homework in the morning.

I am looking forward to my trip to Orlando. I will be going on October 2nd for an Avon conferance and then on the 10th to hang out with friends during Pride.

Are you sucking up after sharing my "less than ladylike" behavior with our friends? :giggle:

Good evening everyone :) and there's plenty of lasagna left over, so that's what we're having tonight. :chef2:

It has been busy, with lots of adjustments, but overall we're getting it sorted out on the important stuff. The boys are getting along as well as two teenage boys can (which means flying objects and fart jokes mixed in with the companionable silences and real conversations.) We've lost two cats in the move (one still in NY and one shortly after we got here)...but the remaining critters are settling in well. And, even though annoyingly slow, we're actually making progress on the house.

Sanibel and Captiva were beautiful...and I loved seeing the dolphins and manatees...wading out waist deep into the gulf to hunt for shells. And...bulging neck veins aside...I didn't jump over the front desk and slap the clerk (richly deserved and ooooooooohhhhhh so tempting)...so I did good! :bomb:

Absolutely can't wait to meet you MStar and Jake....and I'm happy to help research airfares if needed. :) And I hope things work out in the family Zimmy...that kind of thing is so hard to take. It always amazes me how many people don't think of their children first.

good evening kitcheneers........boy do i got a story for you all....i took Jo and Rooster out to dinner....nice sports grill called Duffys...great food,atmosphere,about a gazillion tvs playing all types of sports...anyway we ordered an app and our food at same time....well food comes out first then a couple minutes behind it was our app-----NOT good...matter fact i was a bit put off and taken aback bc i have ALWAYS had great service at this place....well we discuss it briefly as we eat..Jo excuses herself from table---im assuming bathroom break--she comes back and informs me that they are taking app off ticket...apparently she went to talk to the mgr about the whole experince....now she swears she was very nice,polite,smiled,but next thing we know here comes the mgr and he comped the ENTIRE check....now ive seen her str8 from trailer park side and i assure u if she even showed a tad bit of that i can understand why the mgr comped our meal....lol

and lmao @ Rhonda....can u pinch the other one too????

Good morning everyone... :bringcoffee: coffee is on, and breakfast is cooking...I'm thinking cripsy bacon and pancakes (blueberries optional).

Good to see that a good time was had by all last night....cuz I'd hate to be the only one :)

I think Scoote is working on destroying my angelic reputation! I really didn't show my nasty side to the manager last night....seriously! (Although I sure did at the hotel in Sanibel). I'm just funny about cruddy service and refuse to pay for it.

The prince is safely delivered to high school, and now it's time to get Rooster fed and ready for school as well. Scoote's snoozing away :alarm: ...I've got the morning shift since I'm more of an early bird than she is. The boys have early dismissal today, and I promised Rooster a trip to DisneyQuest tomorrow so it should be a fun weekend.

went for a power walk, grabed my coffee on the way bk to my truck, then checked my oil, had to walk bk to store, get oil, add to engin, then my oil cap fell under truck...*sigh* had to crawl under there to get it,, so ok im dirty now, walked bk to building to clean up, walking bk to truck, witnessd an old couple in there 70's hit a parked car in the parking lot .:blink:
and right in front of me so ran after them cuz they kept going.. *whewww*
ok now im off to head to my favorite art supply store here.. there is a new soul food restraunt next door , im thinking of getting something to go . and next to it is a chinese buffet. with a nice variety of SUSHI!! .. wow hard to decide.. lol

is home , after a eventful trip, last night left out from truck stop in Monroe,MI to head to canada,6 miles down the highway, just got dark, suddenly all these cars r hitting brakes and some swirving around something laying in the road, it was part in my lane so i am trying to avoid from running over it and not hit a car, i never saw what it was thought it was a deer,
turnd out it was a person that got hit.. * deep sigh .. i didnt have my CB on so didnt know ahead of time... after i almost ran over it, and saw a bunch of cars and a semi pull over, i turned on CB and asked.. what was that i n the ROAD?? 2 or 3 drivers said someone got hit trying to cross the interstate.. :(
im still kinda freaked about it all.... it just happend when i came across everything....... * whew**. anyways home now.

Thanks Zimmy...DisneyQuest was fun with the boys, although we made Scoote a bit nauseous on the Pirates of the Caribbean simulator 3-D thing. And she and I stink at the Buzz Lightyear bumper car thingie too...everyone kept shooting us (including the boys), so we spent most of our time spinning in circles and laughing, unable to fight back.

We just got back from a beach stroll after dinner...one of the nicest parts about being in FL. :)

Scoote managed to drop her laptop and it's DOA...so now she has to compete with Rooster and I for time on this one. :giggle: Don't worry...we'll let her have a turn now and again.

Hope you're all having a relaxing evening. MStar's dinner sounds yummy...we had meatloaf and baked potatoes...a personal favorite of mine. :)

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah.. for the end of next month.. I can not wait to meet you and scoote as well.. and to be able to do so with My girl on My arm.. just makes Me feel like I have fireflies in My stomach. *gets all sheepish*

Oh I would have loved to been with you on and going on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride... I have all of the movies.. .and watch them over and over.. although My stomach tends to get "funky" depending on the speed and all that of the ride.. however, for that ride I would have toughed it out. I also want to get down there and see the new Harry Potter exhibit they just built. They were doing the build while I was living there.

I would agree that has to be a lovely end to a meal and the day.. a stroll at the beach as long as it is not a zillion degree (winks at scoote)... I like taking walks here especially now that Fall has come and the leaves are turning on the trees and falling.. beautiful. (knows Jo remembers this).

Uhoh @ the DOA laptop.. why do I envision rock-paper-scissors happening.. laughs.

Well I am glad you all are settling in.. slow but sure.. we miss you both when you are not around.

The little devils were cracking up at us...laughing and :pointing: as we spun helplessly in circles with our lights flashing. I still maintain that my driving was flawless, but Scoote had aiming issues with the cannon...just sayin'! :winky:

I would have helped you make Scoote go around and around, hehe..I am being a brat right now. Lisa was quizzing me tonight and I was proud of myself, I was answering her questions without having to think about it. I have two midterms for my anatomy class, one on the lab portion and one on the lecture portion. October 10th is a Sunday and pride starts at Noon. It is being held at Lake Eola, whcih is a gorgeous lake...It has black and white swans swimming in it...I don't have classes on Friday to Sunday until December 17th. Maybe we can all plan some kind of holiday gathering for everyone on both sites?

I thought that was Tom Cruise whizzing by....I sold all of those videos and the proceeds went to help Haiti in their relief efforts..Hehe....

Hope you all are having a good night and hopefully Scoote gets a new laptop soon..

Glad to hear the studying is paying off Zimmy...I know you're going to do great on those tests. :)

We're planning a lazy, sleep as late as we can, kind of weekend. We've all been running hard...and the Rooster isn't sleeping as well as he could (first on the couch and now on an inflatable mattress on the floor). We'll all be hugely relived when we can get into the house, let Rooster have a bedroom again, and everyone in their nice beds. Personally I think I'll be most grateful to not be sharing one bathroom between 4 people, 2 of which are teenage boys. Just sayin' :seeingstars:

Jo and Rooster brought animals with them..theres a lil mini weiner dog named shadow--well named bc he is always under foot...not to mention if someone else is getting attention or love this damn dog cries and whines about it...so instead of letting it bother me anymore i now have fun with it...i will over play the fact that im giving hugs or love to Jo just to mess with the dog....i keep telling Jo it really needs therapy,but alas the damn dog is still at my feet crying like a lil girl so i am now taking advantage of every chance i get to tease it.....call it tough love if u will!

about that damn puter of mine....i have dropped it on my glass coffee table,Friday night i dropped it in the parking lot at work---worked fine...Saturday morning i was checking something while sitting on bed,went to set it on carpeted floor,it slipped out of my hand,fell less than 2 feet,and the damn monitor is now broken....wtf....however my wonderful g/f informed me that Dell is sending out a replacement sooooo *happy dance* as soon as i get it i can keep everyone up to date on the going ons around our house---unfortunately my memory isnt that long so altho i know i told Jo i was gonna post about things,i cant seem to remember now what they were

He is being teased at the moment though...he had a day at the doggie spa for bath, nail clipping, etc. He came out all shiny and cute...and sporting a striped bandana. Rooster told him he looked like a bandido...and it went to his head...next thing we know he's chasing the neighbor's great big dog across the parking lot, acting ferocious and barking his head off! Crazy little mutt! :)

The Prince is ready....so we're off...everyone have a great day! :)

We had a good day yesterday...after breakfast out we went to ToysRUs...something Rooster hasn't enjoyed for awhile since they closed the one close to us years ago, and something the Prince would have said he was too cool for. They both ended up with some new toys, and a pair of Nerf swords that have been used steadily since for raging battles on the lawn. (And, yes, I was involved in the battle in the store aisles...had to show them what mom could still do :giggle: )

Scoote slept most of the last 2 days, but had to go back to work this morning. Luckily she's feeling a lot better and not as congested...the bad news is that Sunday is a long day for her, so I'm hoping she takes it easy as much as possible.

Anyone have fun plans for the day?

I am going to finish up my homework for microbiology and study for the second part of my anatomy mid term. I am looking forward to Pride in Orlando. The Nerf sword fight sounds cute and when my nephew was down, he got a Nerf dart Tommy gun and he kept shooting everyone with it. I had Lisa laughing hysterically this morning. Needless to say, I had to find a washcloth to wipe him down with and I am still chuckling at his silly self.

I love going to Toys 'R Us, and especially with finally being able to let My little side out (I have both a big and little side to Me) I'm looking forward to having more of My own playtime as I am also a big kid at heart and that won't ever change. My sister's birthday is coming up in November and she will be 13 but because of her autism she is still very much a big kid and you can't help but be a kid yourself around her. I plan on going to Toys 'r Us to get her birthday present, and I may even indulge My little boy and get him a couple of hot wheels cars or some lego (yay)

I did get accepted into college, however I got put on the waitlist and from what I can tell I won't get a spot this year so I've been putting out resumes in hopes of finding a job ~ I'll work until next year, and then hopefully be able to get approved for funding again and just take a course next fall. Because of My gallbladder surgery this year, I registered for college too late and was unable to secure a seat early. Also, I went to get My blood work done on friday and will get a physical done this coming friday ~ and if all goes well, I could be starting testosterone this week so I'm nervous yet excited about this new start ............. I'm finally getting to where I want to be in life, and while its scary its also what I've been waiting so long for :D

Congrats on getting accepted into college! Waiting is a hard thing to do, but you will get the funding to attend. I had a blast when my 10 year old niece was down for the summer. When I took her to the Hello Kitty store in Orlando, I almost bought myself a Hello Kitty iPhone case, but decided against it. I did treat myself to a Starbucks frappuccino, even though I am not supposed to have one on this diet. I was the same way when I came out as being gay, I was scared of the fact that I could lose my whole family<I am the only gay person in my family> and was happy when my mom started supporting me.

Happy birthday early to your little sister! No GI Joe's or Transformers to go with your Hot Wheel cars?

:bringcoffee: Setting down a fresh pot of coffee, a bottle of Baileys and a big bowl of homemade whipped cream...right next to a tray of homemade chocolate chip cookies.

Sorry I've been gone so much friends...things have been both busy and rocky around here. Some of the "blending families" stuff, stress from the house thing (I lost my mind and sent a super bitchy email after midnight....makes me feel crappy but it got them moving at last), and all of us except the Rooster sick with sore throats, draining sinues, coughs, headaches...and for me the special treat of fluid in my ears so I can barely hear. Joy.

Just one of those tough times when I feel surrounded by incompetence and nonsense. The good news...now that we have a bank approved contract we're probably 30 days or less from closing. Now all we have to do is get everyone healthy again, and survive the next month playing "sardines" :seeingstars:

I'm off to make dinner in real life....and I'll be back on if the Rooster lets me have some computer time (he's doing homework right now). OH...and Scoote will be re-computered shortly....hers was still under warranty and a replacement should be on the way. :)

I have not gotten it yet.. although My immune system usually rocks when it comes to that stuff.. thanks to My BFF getting Me to take echinacea and Ester-C every day.

Glad to see you and Jo finally got the house thing squared away.. although I saw that Jo had to "get on her broom".. it does not surprise Me though.. once you threaten to take your business elsewhere that usually gets people to sit up and notice, sad to say.

I had a Doctor appointment day before yesterday, and some reminders to get back on the program and mind my diet. Had an EKG and chest x-ray too (just checking since there's lots of heart problems in my family). All came back good though...so now it's just the bloodwork, pap and mammogram to go (ugh).

Sending big hugs :gimmehug: to MStar and wishes for a speedy recovery. :bouquet: I know Jake is taking good care of you though my friend, and that's the most important thing. :)

I keep trying to be better about getting online, but feeling crappy (physically and emotionally) and it's hard to be inspired. Think more than anything I just need to close on this house and get moved....one more month (I hope). :goodluck:

Sounds like the perfect breakfast to Me! This morning for breakfast, I actually had a couple of small yogurts from Yoplait's Dessert Selections ~ one was Strawberry Chantilly and the other one was Raspberry Cranberry Crumble (both of which are beyond divine). Too bad I didn't have some actual granola here or I would have mixed some in, might have to buy some today or tomorrow for next time :)

I just had bloodwork done last Friday because tomorrow I go back to see My doctor for a complete physical, and if all goes well then tomorrow is the day that I may begin taking testosterone injections :cheesy:

I to have been busy as a bee. My anatomy midterms had me in tears on Tuesday. I got a 74, C, overall for both my lab midterm and the lecture midterm. I have to literally ace my final lab practical and lecture tests to pass the class with a B. I am thinking of dropping my microbiology class, the teacher is a bitch and I really don't like her. The overall grade in the class is an F, which I have, and I would rather have a grade of I, instead of an F.

I am leaving some homemade Arroz con Gandules, taquitos and brownies for dessert..

School has been kicking my ass literally and I am about to give up my internet, I cannot afford it anymore. It costs me almost $40 a week in gas and my education is more important than the internet, when I can go to Starbucks and get it free with the purchase of a cup of coffee.

My anatomy lab final is on the 14th and I will be going to Orlando this weekend to study and go to Pride.

I am thinking of putting an IV of coffee into my arm until next Thursday.

My girl is getting stronger every day and so is her mindset. They should be moving her to the rehabilitation hospital sometime today. Then she will be there until she can "make tracks" on her own. It has been a rough couple of weeks for her, and some gloomy moments. However, all in all.. .she will stick to her guns and get through this.

Ok.. all I could do was this :| and this :blink: and :) at the boobie surfing.. and I was laughing the whole time.

I bet you are both glad to have this house deal almost over. For as much as they went though a period of time in the country and economy wanting "get rid of houses" they sure do make it a pain in the butt to procure one. Happy for you both that the end is near.

I am glad the studying is going well. That was actually My favorite part of going to college... and the homework. The in class note taking and all of that was not as much, even though I love to learn. However, I think it was the organization and orderliness of the studying and homework that I liked.

Yes, like I said.. there are some Avon queens out there that will do whatever they need to get a book to you..laughs.. I love throwing it up the driveway thing.. like someone delivering the newspaper.

My girl is pushing herself and getting through the best she can. As I mentioned to scoote it is has been a rough couple of weeks.. however, she is strong of the mind and will persevere. I know she is just looking forward to getting home and having her pets around her again. As she said.. it is the simple things you miss .. when you are not in control of your life, so to speak.

the beach is beautiful as always but right now winds are high,surf is rough...matter fact we were at beach yesterday and i pulled a plastic bag outta my pocket to put a shell in and a $10 bill flew out.......u shoulda seen Jo go after it...(not making any comment about her jewish side coming out) lol...she chased that thing all way to dunes,picked it up and shoved it in her bra :blink: and hell yeah for $10 id go boob surfing--just sayin

Good afternoon Everyone,

Jake, studying is doing good, me and a few ladies from class studied from 10am to 3:30pm before I left for Orlando. My brain hurts, lol. On Monday in lab class, we dissected a sheep brain and on Wednesday we dissected a cow eye. Both were neat and I got to hold both while the guy in my lab group dud the cutting. It felt weird but the cat is going to be hard.

Good to hear Ms MountainStar is doing better and tell her that I am sending wishes of a speedy recovery.

The dr's flew my roommate, Lisa's baby to the children's hospital in Jacksonville on Monday, he wasn't breathing good and his heart wasn't doing good. He is now on a heart monitor and if nothing changes, they are going to do open heart surgery on him.

I am going to Orlando's Pride with a few ppl from the dash site on Sunday. How about you?

Sorry I've been AWOL folks...it's been an incredibly busy week...trying to catch up at work, the usual house/kids/meal stuff and then a massive pile of paperwork and errands to get everything squared away for the house. We're almost there...they taunted us with talk of a closing this Friday, then ordered a survey...not cuz there was a problem but just because the one in the file was old (sigh)... I just keep telling myself soon, soon, soon, soon...

Well of COURSE it is still in the 80's there.. laughs. I have to say I love the rain... however, I have had My fill now.. and it needs to move on. We have received snow here before on Halloween (as you know).. so I would not be surprised if we did not get atleast some rain/snow mixed with how it feels outside. I have to say I would miss the snow.. I love to watch it fall... but yes.. the shoveling and driving in it.. does grow old. Atleast you will not have to deal with that this season.. smiles.

I am sending good vibes.. that the house get closed and quickly.. this process for you all just never seems to end.. and just when you think you are "there"... it does not happen.. that has to be frustration 10-fold.

Hi to My fellow Kitchen dwellers, how is everyone? I'm so very sorry I haven't been around lately, but I started a new job yesterday and I've just been trying to get used to being up early in the morning (try 6:30am). I'm very excited because I get My very first T shot tomorrow :cheesy:

I'm nervous I admit it, but I'm also very excited at the same time. My work is extremely open, cuz I told My trainer about My transition and she said that I'm safe to work there ~ if anyone even tries anything that discriminates against Me, they will be fired on the spot. Its a very diverse group of people and it doesn't matter what your race/religion/gender/sexual orientation etc is, all they care about is that you do your job. I already get along with people there, so I know that I'm very much going to like it there :)

It is a gorgeous day here in Florida!!! I still haven't received my grade for my anatomy lab final...The whole class is on pins and needles waiting on them. I do miss the snow from when I lived up in Michigan and Pennsylvania as a teenager...

Good morning everyone! I have missed so much in the past three weeks, and will catch up reading everything later today and tomorrow....

So....I've been gone - to the hospital. Had to have an emergency knee operation and spent three weeks in there. I got home on Thursday afternoon and have spent the past few days just getting used to being home and working on regaining my strength.

I missed everyone in here very much...especially Mr. Prickly...but I am happy to be here now and on the mend.

Scoote and I headed to the beach for some shell-hunting and a walk, so dinner was Taco Bell. Not the healthiest thing for me, but it was really good to have some time without the kids, just walking on the beach. Zillions of shells too...we literally ran out of daylight and didn't want to leave. :beachkids:

Called the moving company today to arrange my furniture delivery...hopefully they'll get it here close to closing day so we aren't sitting in an empty house too long. :giggle:

so anyway JO bullied me into making a dr's appt(even tho i told her its just old age,a big ass and meanness trying to come out) and the big day has arrived..so in a couple hrs ill be sitting in a small room in a paper gown swearing nothing is wrong while JO(who is going to make sure the doc gets ALL the info) will be shooting me evil looks and correcting me on everything...God gotta love a woman like that

hope everyone has a ......ohhhhhh wait i gotta tell y'all about our stroll on the beach...we were walking along,heads down,scouring for cool shells, i look up and see a man up near dunes running towards us--now i admit i have poor eyesight so i look at JO and ask" is that man naked?":blink: she looks up and back down quickly and says "umm yep" now i am sure that letting the wind off the ocean caress ur naked body is exhilarating,but make sure it is a nude beach or at least a private one!
