It will be probably be a quick trip (unless we're having a heat wave in the PNW and then I might stay since y'all have A/C and all) but I think I can carve out a few hours for brisket, sonic or tex-mex. I should know for sure in the next couple of weeks. If the August trip doesn't happen, I will be there early next spring for sure.

Hey Austin..Anyone intrested in a new fur kid or kids?? A friend of mine has two jack russel females who need a home,both full blood jr.s four yrs old ,all shots,liver and white color,kennel broke.would rather keep them together as they have been buddys since puppy hood(same litter) but will seprate if nessary.Can get regestration papaers if u want them.I have seen theses dogs and they are nice fur kids.The new place they bought dosent have a fence yet and with the work load both she and her hubby have there is no telling how long it will be before one is up.No to worry they wont be going to the pound but will be liveing in a kennel wich is about a normal sise one but we all know a JR neds more romm that that.Pm me if anyone is intrested..they are free, just need new loveing home.

Taurus has a day care at McNeil and Hwy 183, which is just a couple miles from the Arboretum. I used to take my dogs there when I worked in that area.

My personal favorite place is Mud Puppies - they're a little further north (about 15 minutes from the Arboretum). I take my dogs there now. (oh and they're gay-owned)

Had a great time, music was good we had good seats although I had to make a few adjustments when unthinking idiots try to mess it up. 1st idiot moved the umbrella shading me because it blocked his view...he put it back. @nd idiots pulled up their chairs and parked em right in front of us blocking our view and I politely asked them to move. Second half of the show it was hard to see the bad for the dancers but that was kinda of enjoyable too, since most of them were children. Thursday is a great Cuban Jazz band 6-9pm come on out!!

It was great seeing everyone yesterday and meeting Wismi! Thanks for the well wishes y'all. Its still giving me trouble, but at least I can walk upright now. I'm still bummed that my back went out before I could steal the puppy.

It was also great meeting the younguns that were there too. And did I mention the puppy?

We had fun in San Antonio. A bit warm but I enjoyed the Alamo because I got to collect a cool psychic story from one of the re-enactors there. Totally random and he had no idea about what I do. :)

I am always so slow at posting stuff....just move at turtle speed I guess. It was wonderful to meet so many awesome people in one terrific weekend!! I had a GREAT time and felt so WELCOMED....It was really touching.

Glenn and Denise thank you for opening your home to us (me) and letting me pitch in a little. You are definitely the hosts with the most!

I loved all the food, fun, LAUGHS, company, conversation and doggies!!!!

Looking forward to the next visit for sure :)

Yep...GREAT weekend... Loved the Airboat ride..Zoom..Zoom...Zoom....Didn't get eaten by the 1000 lb alligator or freeze to death in the refrigerated hotel room....enjoyed the rather lengthy new Transformers movie and spent lots of quality time together...YAY!!

It's been a great weekend albeit a bit stressful here and there with the whole fam damily in town. They loved Austin. My nearly 10 yr old niece has decided she will be my roommate when she comes to UT.
