We did Black Friday shopping from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Whew!

Went by Home Depot before driving home. Picked up a 100' outdoor 12 gauge extension cord, very, very flexible. It will become a valuable asset to my Toro blower and I in numerous ways. Also bought 12 pieces of 2x4x8 outdoor treated lumber. It can stay on the truck until in the morning. I just want to keep relaxing at home with my babies tonight. :)

Well, had to bitch about the steaks sitting in the butcher's case...Delmonicos with too much fat! They took out a fresh block of beef, cut new steaks then trimmed the fat. We ended up with some great steaks. Put them immediately in the freezer for a better day. Ate microwave dinners instead. Will let you know when I fry 'em. I always protest putting good steaks in the freezer, but if we're too lazy for the prep., it's better than risking them going bad.
Had that happen before, and got really pissed off...even yelled at my Dom.

I used to buy the chia pet cat grass kits and grow them indoors. Of course, I am a dork who is fascinated by chia pet concept. They were very easy to grow - even for someone like me who can inadvertently kill a cactus. LOL.

There is also a company that delivers fresh already grown cat grass plants in Chinese take out type containers. Pet grass.com (https://www.petgrass.com/) Not as much fun but it keeps the furballs happy.

OMG ... that's awesome! I was growing it outside and then it got cold so the wheat grass stopped growing. I tried inside but I wasn't able to give them enough light ... well, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it! lol I've never been very good with indoor plants.

My neurology appointment, MRI and inpatient sleep study. All have been rescheduled three times now. I know there have been times when other people's schedules have had to be rearranged to accommodate my needs... Still it's been really frustrating. I guess I just need to keep my mind off all that has gone wrong and instead try and stay focused on what has gone right. Which so far has actually been quite a lot.

I am looking forward to getting my new dog from the vet's this Saturday. I did a Rottweiler rescue this morning on the way in to work. He needs to receive some care there a few days and I need time to do some things here at home to help him get comfortably settled in. I posted his picture in the gallery a few minutes ago with lots of information if anyone would like to see what my new son looks like. ;)

My goal is to provide him a happy carefree life.

Knee-replacement surgery. I got a second opinion yesterday. I really like this doctor and am going to go with him. Apart from diagnosing my knee and recognizing the damage and pain I have, he told me about himself—his education, experience, age, number of children. Some doctors are reluctant to share that information. I like knowing these things before they start probing and prodding.

I'll get it done this spring or summer after I work out a plan with my manager.
