Watching the sunset and then stargazing from the Richland Balsam Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway. At 6053 ft, it's the highest elevation on the BRP.

This is one of my favourite places in the world - at night it is so quiet you can hear your own heartbeat. The air is absolutely delicious! So clean and filled with the scent of the surrounding balsams. I'm tempted to get up early on Saturday to watch the sunrise from there as well.

I'm looking forward to the arrival of a package in the mail from sockdreams.com (a really cool store for all sorts of socks and other neat little miscellaneous things), which will contain several pairs of thigh high stockings for my stepmother, for Christmas (I'll be giving them to her sooner, tho). She had a PEG (feeding tube) placed in her stomach for when she begins radiation therapy for her throat cancer.

She can't pull her tights up around her waist because of the discomfort from the tube site. These socks will keep her legs warm under her nightgown/jammies. I'm sure she's going to love them, because I got several pairs for Mother, and she just adores them!! I'm thinking that Betty will love them, too, and they'll keep her toasty warm!!! :winky::sock::heartbeat:

I never go out New Years eve. The first day of the year is always very reflective for me. By the 2nd or 3rd I'm in full swing. 2011 will be a benchmark year. My health is steady and my healing continues. I'm focused and looking forward to fruits of my labor. The hard ass work and heartache these past two years but all worth it. I have arrived at such a great place and will make this best year yet.

--my day off tomorrow!
--spring to come, like YESTERDAY!
--more of this "feeling great" feeling i'm getting from this journey i'm on..
--more understanding & conversation, & mostly, forgiveness..
--more new friendships, it's empowering me to be a better me..

1) going back to gym after month off: two and a half weeks in amsterdam getting married and 12 days being very ill with lung virus. almost all weight taken off has come back on but I'm not that fussed, it will come back off.

2) I look forward to getting back to a size 16UK and buying clothes anywhere I like and the kind of clothes that express ME again. not crap that I have to buy cause I'm a size 20 and that's all they have.

3) the new job!!! I'm going back to phone sex; It's far easier, less stressful than working in Executive Board offices, far less f*cking boring, and people treat me with FAR more respect. Plus there's no commute, I can get up at a decent hour, and get all the house jobs done between calls. More time to spend with the Mrs. doing things we enjoy. Like going to the gym together.

definite improvement over the office grind or public service. also, it allows me the luxoury of only accepting temp work that pays highly in a service I enjoy and for a minimum of four months or more. No more admin/pa bullsh*t f*ck jobs for execs who treat me like an extension of their whipped partners (female or male) and line managers who don't know how to manage. and people just treating me like scum. I've don'e it for over a year before and I'd prefer to be an interesting disneyland character (phone 'hoing) than a grunt desk slave (admin office work in PA land) or a servant beneath respect (waitressing). cause that's how it feels in those jobs to me.

Im looking forward to the laughlin river run in April!! yea!! over 20,000 bikes invade my town an the surounding areas.. every place has live bands its a huge biker party for a week. about 15 of my friends an family will be here at my place an well BBQ go for short rides checking all the biker booths and stuff out.. its just a blast!
oh yea an also the first of Feb. making a road trip to No. calif to pick up my new bike. ill keep my old one but the new one has a side car so my dog "karma" can go with me!!!
