I hear ya about a more understanding job! One of my coworkers has a 14 month old baby that was hospitalized with that terrible flu this past winter, and can you believe she was written up for not coming to work?? Her child almost died! If my spouse was in that situation I wouldn’t have been at work either. A lot of jobs nowadays have very little regard for the health of their employees and the employee’s families.

I am looking forward to being home after work today. I am in a great deal of pain when I stand or walk. I am calling the neurologist doc today and see if he can see me sooner. As it is now, my appointment is April 24th. We had a 2 hour training class yesterday on the other side of the building. I did not think I would make it walking all the way over there. Honestly, wanted to sit on the floor and bawl. I want to get on in, see the doctor and find out what I need to do to correct this pain - it is over the top!! So weird how it came on so quickly.

Our home went 'live' for sale on a Saturday, and an offer was accepted the next day! Was that fast or what!

The closing is in a couple of weeks and then we can put our efforts on the home in Chicago to get ready for sale. Life is being very cooperative right now and ready for life in Florida soon.

Here is a bit of icing on the cake, the couple who bought the home is a same-sex couple. So pleases me, can hardly wait to hand over the garage door opener and all the keys.

Going back to Asheville for good. It'll be a year or more til it happens. Visits are hard because leaving is so difficult for me....

Gutting this place! Yesterday I went back to cleaning up bookmarks and eventually decided if I hadn't even visited, let alone used or purchased anything off of this long, long list of bookmarks in years and years, how much did I really need them? I took a big breath and deleted all but nine of them. Then today with every last box filled and hauled away, I went and purchased more boxes. My new goal is to go through the things I intended to keep and get rid of half of everything. I'm sick of all the clutter and looking at supplies I purchased to make things which I no longer have the patience, eyesight, or dexterity for. It just makes more sense to keep the things I can actually still use and make room for new things in my life I might enjoy and actually be able to accomplish. I don't know maybe that's just bailing, giving up, being a quitter but it's been a long time of beating myself up for no longer being good at many of the things I used to enjoy but now find so difficult that for me there is just no longer any joy or pleasure in doing them. Hobbies should be fun right.

Dinner! My son and his girlfriend invited me out. Afterwards my son is going to come over and take a look at my computer. If it rains it pours, now my mouse is acting up. The clock striking midnight, direct deposit hitting the bank, paying bills, seeing my son, ordering grub for Monte. I keep Oh Magnificent One's kibble in a 5 gallon bucket with a Gamma Seal for a lid. Monte sometimes tries to twist and turn the lid/open the bucket with his paws, which is so cute. Now he's not even bothering because the food level is so low even if he was able to open the bucket he'd never be able to reach in and nab it. He's got plenty of wet food, which he likes, just not as much as he likes his kitty version of crack cocaine. Well beggars can't be choosers and until he starts bring some money into this family...
