I got a lot done today! Gosh, it really pays off when I use my dayplanner.
I ran errands,
paid bills,
canceled a membership that has been draining $10 from my account monthly that I have just been too lazy to cancel,
did the grocery shopping,
did some laundry,
and followed up on some outstanding accounts receivable.
Yay me!
I have been building on my previous post. I registered for my summer classes. Of course one of these will be a directed study to get this non-profit business launched. Hopefully, by Fall or the beginning of the year I will be on a new venture with my life. The professor I chose to work with has over 40 years in mental health services. I got more research done for my specific region to support that this type of service is needed. The professor is supposed to call me in the next few days. I also spoke with most of those friends who I thought of initially. There is one who still hasn't called me. I don't know what is up with that but hopefully he will be on board soon. I am really excited to be on this venture. Finally, work that I am passionate about doing.

Started my day with yoga
Managed to get through the work day even though I wasn't feeling well.
Emptied my cabinets and cleaned them out really well so I could reorganize them.
Did my recycling.
Helped my neighbor wrangle his wayward dogs...I used treats and my poodle as bait..lol
Learned something new.

A whole lot of work stuff.
Installed software on my laptop to sync my cell to said laptop. Was a success - now able to transfer files, pics, apps..etc..etc..
Worked a bit on my website.
Made dinner then did up the dishes.
Now, just relaxing in the peace and quiet that is the evening.

Converted and re-strung this cool guitar I got. It's a vintage sunburst ltd edition Epiphone acoustic. But it was right handed. I play lefty. So I replaced the bridge, saddle, and nut. The pickguard is upside down when I play. But I figure that'll just freak people out.

a older bmw i just bought and was so excited about blew a head gasket on the way home...now i have to go back to the place i bought it tomorrow and get my money back since i dont have funds to repair that and it makes.me worry if it damaged something else and whats next...
. the gentleman i bought it from had it for years and loved the car , he paid to have it towed and a mechanic to check it. and then offered to give me my money back. which was a real honest and standup thing to do since the deal was done and over. ...and then i must begin the hunt for another car....again

I finally took back the bag of baby girl clothes that I had bought for my sister. The poor cashier had no idea why I was crying. I'm glad it's done.
I set up my directed study for summer semester. This is my final semester of school right now and the main purpose of this course is to set up a non-profit organization that is needed very much in my area. The second in command of the program is very interested in this project and the faculty member I chose is excited about it as well. I also had a gentleman from my internship contact me and ask to be a part of this venture because he retires in an upcoming month in the not so distant future. Paths are opening and I know this is the right path...the vision is becoming clearer and I couldn't be more thrilled.

This was an accomplishment because I haven't felt much like making huge meals

A very successful fashion show at work. My models were great, we had such fun. I had them dancing in the asiles. "Shake it off"
All the details came together. Even the guests were having fun. I should do stand up more often. I'm so over not being shy in front of an audience. ( me shy? Lol)
Next. .. I'm going out to wash my car. Play in the water, get my feet wet, and drink a beer.

Today I accomplished quite a bit!
I read the rest of my chapters for school and put up the other discussion board post. I then planned an anniversary party for my parents for tomorrow. Monday they have 69 years together!! I went to Sam's and got a veggie tray, a fruit tray, some lunch meat and cheese to make up a meat and cheese tray, some rolls, chips, and bought them a HUGE hanging basket full of begonias. They both have not been doing well healthwise so I wanted to go all out in case they do not get to see 70 years together. It will be all four kids home with their spouses. I am so excited because for once I didn't let the cat out of the bag and tell them what was in the making. I can't help it!! When I get excited I just cannot contain myself. LOL! But this time it is Shhhhhhhhh!!! *BIG Smiles.
Now to take the pup out for a bit because a big storm is brewing.

Started at the bank. Grand daughter had to pee. Okay, so I send her down the hall of loan officers and she glides on through, no one said a thing.
Went the the hell on earth here in Abbotsford where parents come to drink coffee and chat with friends while abou,t 100 children scream and play in the various jungle gym stuff.
Then I went to Walmart, sped around in the scooter and enjoyed being out of the scorching weather for a couple of hours.
Finally, two of my grandchildren arrived to spend the evening/overnight and the fun started.
I am one tired, happy, woman tonight. How was your day? lol(f)(f)
I cooked food for lunches, did laundry, and mowed the rest of the day. Resting now.

Donated money to RAINN (https://www.rainn.org/). Granted, my motivation included spiting a left-wing circular firing squad I walked into last night (they apparently think a charity that fights rape, abuse, and incest is "rape culture"), so it's not entirely benevolent, but I at least like to think I can use my spite for positive ends.

Hand sanded two 8' 2x4s
Changed the bulbs in the outside motion detectors.
Picked up my order from Home Depot
Prepped and planted some blueberry cuttings and Oleifera Moringa cuttings.
Worked some more on cleaning/organizing the garage.
Replaced the spigot & washers on my 2 gallon Igloo water jug, then sanitized it along with the 1 gal. & 1/2 gallon jugs in preparation for camping and/or hurricane season.
Thought about washing and waxing my truck. Haven't made it that far yet, perhaps tomorrow.
I got some of my reading done for class; cooked two large meals today and cleaned the kitchen up after each; took Grace out into the heat to get some energy worn off; went out on an expedition with my sister - we found a picnic spot in the local State Park to take my parents who are 89 and 95 years old (the bathrooms had to be close), searched out the local Amish store for produce, got some ice cream; then came home and took clippings off my herbs (today harvested dill and tarragon tomorrow plan on doing parsley and basil), dried them, and put them into storage jars.

Tonight I will work in the garden. My brother in law finally got it all tilled. It is over 90 degrees so will wait for the sun to drop down in the sky some. Still need to get some more cuttings off of my herbs too and get them dried and put away. Busy busy...no moss growing under my feet.

It started out well enough...
In my first hour at work today I:
stripped two beds
remade one
started two loads of wash
Vacuumed the guest room
emptied 15 trashcans and 2 recycling bins
dusted a vast library and the great room
(also greeted a visiting mother-in-law and petted two dogs as well as had a nice talk with the gardener...)
After that it all went to shit...
BUT...I did the stairs at LEAST a dozen times...so I got paid to workout today :)
This adventure started at sunrise yesterday and just ended.
I drove four hours to the coast to attend a four hour meeting. Then we got on a boat for another three hours to conduct a site visit and collect data. Then I drove to another project on the beach to collected data. It was a thirteen hour day.
Today, my morning meeting was canceled so I cruised the beach for a while before the long drive back.
All and all it was a great trip!
I actually completed my readings for this week (Wednesday start of school week), posted my discussion board posts, chatted with a friend, got three loads of wash done, and shampooed the carpet in the living room. Just ordered dinner and will work on a paper that is due in 5 days about why people change. Very productive day. Oh and the place I ordered dinner from is owned by a lesbian couple who have 13 years together and who are getting married Saturday. I had them add extra money to the bill as a wedding present from me. Lol! When I told her to add the delivery tip she refused and told me not to push it. Haahaa!!

Today is not far from my last post....I'm in a rut!
Today:
I did dishes before I left the house...because I was naughty and left them overnight...
Made breakfast
Watered the garden
Hit a tag sale before my first client (this IS an accomplishment for me; I've been missing out on tag sales due to my former weekend schedule) Oh I scored a little wooden ladder. I've wanted one for a towel holder for ages!
Went to my first client. Spent a little over 2 hours there
Managed to NOT go to Krispy Kreme for my usual every other Monday raspberry filled glazed donut...
Made it to the bank. Only 3 days after getting my paycheck. Not bad. :hangloose:
Gave my paycheck to utilities.
Went to my second client's house. Spent 3.5 hours cleaning there.
Got home and let the dog out to pee and the cat out of the cupboard (the landlord came to put in my new bedroom light finally...she is scared of strangers and hides in the cupboard. She can get in...but she cannot get out...bless her heart)

I will add bad news today hearing my brother-in-law is now starting kidney failure on top of his bad liver. More testing will determine how many points he has which will determine priority on donor list for his liver. It doesn't look or sound good. He is filling with fluid and throwing up daily.

This was a most productive day. Finish my last bit of work (I know I am on vacation but it is a staycation and had to be done). Went and laid out at the pool at gym, 5th day of swimming again (omg, I feel like a million). Up to 15 laps, and 10 laps of jogging and more aqua weights. Oh, my gift to self (and yes butches can do this, lol) waxed brows and lip.
went to target and filled up my cart and I am home.
great day :)

Yesterday I drove on the freeway and did really good. Went from 65 to 80 mph, depending on the flow of traffic, and it felt good. The good feeling surprised me. Usually, I'm clenching the wheel these days when I'm on the freeway, but not yesterday. I even turned up the music for awhile. I made it to my destination and back without taking the back roads and it felt good driving in both directions. Drove a total of 7.5 miles.
It felt so good I was tempted to drive to the coast (25 or so miles from me) but i didn't because that's where I was going when I had my accident--not ready for that just yet.
I'm learning what driving triggers go off for me. I probably will never drive long distances on the freeway in the rain, nor with the top down, but thats okay. For now, I just wanna drive on the freeway in the sunshine without panicking and I accomplshed that yesterday.

I dont know what lit the proverbial fire under my ass but....
I FINALLY got around to sorting through stuff from when my daughter was here (over a month ago)
I've had boxes of stuff in my living room since then...I guess its just parting with things that were hers.
So I took everything out of the box she started for donations to the animal shelter and folded it and sorted matching items etc (bathing suits, shoes etc) The stuff will go to the "re-tail" shop and proceeds go to the shelter..
I organized my recycling and did some paper purging in preparation for my bi weekly recycling.
I also repurposed a little table to hold all the plants that I've already had to bring in. It's now happily situated in the sunniest window in the kitchen.
My client gave me heaps of clothes, most from her travels in Europe. I am sending most of the stuff to my girls, so I got a box and packed them up.
I organized the dogs' treats and...stuff....a little better. It needed to be done...
I vacuumed the majority of the house.
Did dishes
Washed the dogs' dishes
Fed and watered all furkids
Took in wash and folded it. Putting it away is a whole other animal. I would seriously hire someone to just PUT clothes away....

Started after midnight and finished this afternoon.
I cleaned out my dresser and my closet. Took out all the clothes that were worn out or to small and replaced them with the new clothes I've bought in the last few weeks. Separating the work clothes from the out on the town clothes and the short sleeves from the long sleeves.
I must have cleaned out $300-400 of clothes. Sad thing is many still had the tags on them. Even sadder I called several people I know and nobody could wear them. Some were to big some to small.
But I feel good with the purge, just hate there was so many I never wore.

So far, I have only managed to dig through this huge truck box I have stored in the garage that is full of things I've told myself I "need or may need", in order to find my ultra fine (#0000) stainless steel. Found it! Best thing there is for cleaning and polishing glass as far as I am concerned.
Now, I am going out to clean and polish all of the glass on my truck. Sadie's nose dna is all over the inside of the back glass! Yuck!
Afterwards, I will give the windshield and the back glass on the camper shell a good treatment with Rain-X.

Not nearly what I had intended to thats for sure. Washed dried and folded 2 loads of clothes fixed breakfast and cleaned up the dishes, boiled and peeled 18 eggs, fed all the critters and all before 8am. I thought I was on a roll! I knew I was going to have to go to town for milk at some point.
Went to town around 11, spent a while in Wally World. OMG the parking lot was crazy both getting in and out. No trouble finding the things I needed. Strange there was already Valentine stuff out where the Christmas stuff was last Friday. Got back home began putting up groceries. While putting the milk in the fridge a catastrophic event happened. A whole quart of vanilla creamer fell out on the floor, busted the plastic and creamer spilled out in the floor, under the fridge and on my boots. Took a while to clean that sticky mess.
Wrapped gifts, and was pissed I couldn't find 2 of the gifts I bought for the baby.
Loaded up went to Moms for a few hours.
Back home fixed supper and did dishes, put another load of clothes in to wash. Found baby gifts, fixing to finish wrapping gifts.
Before bed I will make sweet tater pies, a chocolate pie, and get a shower.

I decided that I need a better schedule so that I am able to get everything done that I'd like. So, I worked on writing out a simple schedule this morning while I drank my coffee. Then I did 2 loads of laundry, and folded a load of towels I had washed & dried yesterday. I ironed two button downs, & studied for a couple of hours. Later on, I dismantled my gravity water filter, cleaned and sanitized it, then put a new filter in and put it all back together.

This morning early I woke up and took a friend to the medical center for their outpatient surgery. It went very quickly, and I spent an hour in the waiting room watching Property Brothers. I brought my friend back to my house to sleep off the anesthesia, and also because he wasn't sure if he might need some help for the next day or two. It soon started pouring down rain, and we both took naps until 6pm. So there was most of my day blown. I did, however, manage to begin cleaning out the freezer this evening, and I made chili and cornbread for dinner.

Have sent about 25 emails that needed mailing. Have replied to about 25 more emails that needed replying. Delivered some items that needed delivering. Made some appointments that needed making. Cancelled some appointments that needed cancelling. I need to take my daughter out for shoe shopping and I really don't want to...

Fueled up my truck.
Picked up some stuff for the fur gang.
Went to the grocery store (oh the joy!)
While at the grocery store, I managed to successfully keep my mouth shut after I turned around and ran smack dab into the shopping cart of the woman behind me in line, who all but had her cart up my ass, then had the audacity to look at me like I was a moron for not knowing she was thisclose to me. I'm pretty sure my cocked eyebrow and facial expression were far more effective than any words I could have spoken.
Pulled over on my way home and had the six of an officer on a traffic stop. Didn't realize that the officer was a friend of mine until I got a "Thanks for having my back. Made me smile when I saw your truck sitting back there." text, a few minutes later. As public servants we're chosen family. Nobody fights alone, regardless of which badge we wear.
Once home, I put groceries away then went for a short run with my K-9 kiddo, who, for reasons unknown, has the attention span of a gnat, today.
Next stop: steam cleaning my tile floors, finishing laundry, and deciding what's for dinner. Got any suggestions?
I got up at 4:00 am picked up my truck rental and coworkers an hour away. Drove 4 hours to the coast then got on a boat for 3 hours. Ate lunch then drove 4 hours back to the office and another hour home.
Long day and I am exhausted.

I seasoned my cast iron dutch oven and skillet
Changed the bed sheets
2 loads of laundry
Took a CPR, AED & First Aid for Adults, Children & Infants certification class because I screwed up and let mine lapse for a couple of years.
Sharpened a couple of knives that I use most often
Trimmed my hair & beard
Now I am exhausted, that class wore me out.

I've spent the last 2 days on the phone with the college and ended up having to make 3 different appointments there, 2 for this coming Monday and one in April. Next was finding an eye Doc who takes my new vision insurance and setting an appt. for my yearly eye exam and eyeglass replacement.
The remainder of the time has mostly been spent searching for grants and scholarships, to no avail.
I did manage to get out of the house and have dinner with a friend last night, which was fun! :)

I must be spring cleaning early...
I woke up wicked early and couldn't sleep so I organized my closet. I had gotten a shoe rack eons ago and I finally found a way to arrange my luggage so I can use the handy rack. Now my shoes are all sorted by function...every day, somewhat dressy, very dressy etc. I also arranged my clothes so there is a pants section for work and pants for normal wear. Same with shirts. I got rid of 3 pairs of jeans and a pair of sneakers I no longer need. But now I need more jeans. Meh.
But my closet looks so good I just want to leave the door open for a while. Next step is to get a bigger dresser so my tiny dresser can become my nightdtand...

Anya, not every day is that productive lol but I do try to do stuff every day that needs doing...
Today was somewhat productive...
I went to work
Came home and got the dogs for a trip to Home Depot
Rastled 2- 2 cubic foot bags of garden soil into my buggy
Got Yoda used to buggies...apparently he never saw one; he was terrified at first
Got an oregano plant...the rest will have to wait a week. We have 30° nights returning later this week...
Got home and rastled the bags again..
Turned over a unused flower bed and fixed the rock surround so its pretty again
Added in one bag of the garden soil
Planted some wild onions I found while digging
Planted the 6 remaining kale plants as well as ,2 more basil plants
Tidied the yard...got it all done just in time for nature to water everything :)
Inside:
Vacuumed the entire house except for my room
General tidying and dusting
Remembered to bring in my to go coffee cups and wash them
Made dinner
Cleaned counters, sinks and table
Cleaned the stove
Reassigned things to permanent homes to declutter the living room...

Got the trash out to the curb
Played chase games with Sadie
Changed my sheets

I went on a bit of a bender...
It all started because I got the new entertainment center cabinet with copious storage. I knew in had unpacked books so...
I went in my storage area and got the books to unpack. Recycled the box
Found stuff I no longer needed in said storage and packed a box to bring to donate tomorrow
Found my sewing stuff fell over and organized it
Unpacked the remnants of a box....its been almost 2 years...:|
Organized my holiday stuff into one tidy box.
Stowed various other things into a lidded bin.
Cleaned my storage area..
Found twisty things to make my bedroom blinds open...the wandy thing
Cleaned the light fixture in the storage area...it was cobwebby and gross
Cooked and cleaned and various house stuff
Raked the back yard before it got too dark
Went and did wash and hung it to dry
Organized a HEAP of recycling...I mean a literal heap
Got the electrician to finally fix my box....which wasn't broken. There was a flipped switch that I didn't see...I told him his wife was gonna swear I was making stuff up just to see him....charm can go a long way in covering up stupidity...ahem he DID hardwire my smoke detectors since he was here...so now I won't burn to death in my bed :)

Now if I can find the extra energy to use the blower, lol, I will clean up the mess I made doing it. Tomorrow is another day.
Laundry is still going, washing blankets, furniture covers..... no rest for the weary huh? Towels, kitchen towels and potholders.... Now the drawer is filled with clean towels and clean potholders.
I grabbed a piece of "Wonder Woman" fabric the other day, just a fat quarter, but I think I can get 6 potholders out of it. Have several pieces that just has a portion of WW on them, perhaps I can use them as patches or something? Maybe to put on dish towels? Now there is an idea. Humm.

I wrap them in an old kitchen towel and then just give them a whack with my rolling pin. After that it's easy to pick the wrapper paper out and then carry them in the towel over to the change jar and dump them in. It makes really quick work of opening multiple rolls at once.
