the sloughing off of emotional shrapnel.....the kind that like a glass sliver slowly makes it way out through your heart and into your soul....i feel kind of shellshocked but im ok no really ok..... i think the dredging of deadwood so to speak has cleared some emotional space in my heart and my head and that is always welcome....

So far today it's...

breakfast for Rooster and me
packed lunch for Rooster (Scoote didn't need one)
Take him to school
4 loads of laundry (think I'm almost done!)
leftovers for lunch
shower (ahhhhhhh)...didn't want to get out
walked about 1-1/2 miles and distributed over 100 flyers to every house in the neighborhood about our lost kitty
realized I need to do about the same again to cover the whole area
lots of "stuff" for work....no calls, just paperwork like mad
simmer chickens to make stock for tomorrow's soup
sweep front walk
UPS man...meds arrived
talk to the Prince after school
pick up Rooster from school

Scoote is working late again...so the boys and I may have leftovers for dinner...I'm pooped!

And for part 2 :)

washed another load of laundry (forgot the towels)
folded/hung and put away all the laundry
got dinner (yep, leftovers)
emptied and re-loaded the dishwasher

Now on the couch, feet up, watching Law & Order CI and wishing my sweetie was here to watch it with me.

Slept until 10 am. I hate being sick during the winter.
Let the dogs out to play in the foot high snow.
Fed the pooches and filled their constantly empty water bowls.
Made my second pot of coffee.
Woke up Damon.
Made grilled cheese sandwiches for Damon.
Sent Damon off to work with a thermos of coffee.
Did the dishes. Twice.
Folded laundry and washed the bed linens.
Rescued Peppa the wild beagle from the neighbors yard. No matter how many times I told her they werent home to visit she wouldnt believe me.
Poor thing just stood there with a hind leg up shivering.
Made garlic chicken and home made bread for dinner.
Charged Damon's Nook. He loves late night reading and it was almost dead.

I provided comfort for my old dog, enough so that she has begun to walk better and I can tell her pain level is down finally. The many massages and applications of heat and the special large breed coated aspirins help her out alot. Cradling her head in my lap and petting her thru the pain probably was the best therapy of all...

cancelled the writers workshop that was to be held here tomorrow

did the laundry and I feel frustrated because I have to leave the full laundry baskets downstairs for someone to bring them up because I am not allowed to lift them let alone carry them upstairs. (grumble grumble grumble)

did some energy work on the old dog as well as some muscle work

organized my jewelry, specifically my earrings. I had gotten quite sloppy in putting them away

Very productive day at work today...plus the usual tasks to get the kiddo to and from school with the necessary lunches and breakfasts, etc.

Had a false alarm on the kitty leaflets today...a neighbor thought they'd found Banshee, but it turned out to be the stray I'm feeding outside. Worth a try...and nice to know that people are looking and have kept my phone number.

Tiring week....so we've just had snacks, and are going to call it pizza night. Scoote won't be home until late, but we decided it's worth the wait. :eating:

Just a few little things other than that...tested and adjusted the pool (it's up to 70 so maybe we can swim again soon)...put Rooster's pirate flag up on the flag pole...fed the outdoor kitty...a short run to WalMart for Frontline and a few miscellaneous things.

Looking forward to a sleep in and a quiet day tomorrow. :)

Braved the crazy Texas drivers (it was icy today) and went to the drug store
Made soup and ate it
took a huge swig of Nyquil and some mucinex
took several naps
almost watched a movie
more napping
drank OJ
went through a quarter box of tissue
drank lots of hot tea and what felt like a gallon of water
read
napped
more Nyquil and mucinex
more napping
and all of that peppered with coughing, sneezing and fever
best of all created various leukocytes and phagocytes that kicked ass and are getting rid of this cold

My sister found a mirror on Craigs List she absolutely wanted..thing is it was in twinsburg...a good hour and a half away. I rode up and back with her, thru rain, then sleet, (real bad sleet and several nasty accidents on the way), then snow to get this mirror. But it was worth it. It was the exact mirror that was hanging in her house before she bought it. How do we know? The picture that was shown, was from her home! She still has the anchors up from it! And it is BEAUTIFUL! My sister is so happy now and she deserves this. SHe helps everyone and doesnt do hardly anything for herself. Today, I helped make my sister really happy....

Had a really wonderful day today...

Made a pot of coffee, baked a loaf of pumpkin bread...

Went out to breakfast...just me and Scoote

Stopped at an antique/secondhand shop we've been meaning to go to...and found a beautiful bone china cup and saucer with butterflies on it, a cut glass tray, fireplace tools and sterling candlestick holders....and Scoote found some great Elvis memorabilia...

Back home, collected kids and dog....and off to the dog beach for shell-hunting, fresh air, sunshine and a walk...complete with spinning sharks just off shore...

Flat tire on the way home...and a good Samaritan who stopped to help and wouldn't even take any cash for helping...

A nice hot shower for two :lips:

And Taco Bell/KFC in front of the TV to finish the day.

Oh....and yes, we did clean the kitchen and the cat box...as well as feed the critters. :)

Finally got him bathed and conditioned...this has been on my Jesse Do list for a couple of days now.

More rain

Did a load of laundry

Went to Radio Shack and bought an MP3 player and some headphones:listening:

I am still in the midst of cleaning (I tend to do it late at night as opposed to early in the day, anyone else do this?) but I am taking a break :) So, so far...

I worked 6-1 and helped train a new cashier (and swept, mopped x 3, dusted, and cleaned all the counters and underneath)
Came home and napped
Ate brown rice and soy-marinated chicken that Bard made
Caught up with a long-time friend
Found this thread and got motivated to clean
Put up the new shower liner
Gathered the trash, cleaned the fridge out and wiped down counters
Cleaned off the kitchen table of random items
Vacuumed the foyer, living room and couch
Sprayed febreeze fabric on the couch because I love the smell :)
Tidied up the living room
Cleaned the litter box
Put the trash out (a day early)

Next is putting away dishes and washing the few in the sink
Then either putting away the last load of laundry before I start anymore... or working on organizing the bookcases a bit more so I can fit some more books on there.

Or maybe just catch up on more episode of Dr. Who :)

I have tomorrow off and want to be able to spend it relaxing, alas late-night cleaning and going to sleep shortly before Bard gets off work

Over breakfast, I had my daughter, my brother and I do an exercise in goal setting...we did short term and long term. They really liked it and started brainstorming and pretty soon they were really going!

Next, we will work on executing each goal and the steps it takes to build upon each to reach the long term ones. I am soooo happy! I truly feel a cohesiveness in our family again.

Amen amen!

Another good day...

...managed to sleep in until about 8:45

...browbeat Scoote into taking some yogurt, fruit and crackers to work...hopefully she'll get a few minutes to eat something

...traded cars, and took hers in to get new tires and an oil change

...while waiting for the car, walked over to Lowe's and got a new hose for the back yard

...once home, set up hose (with the help of the Prince), so I can get the backyard hibiscus flowering :)

...spot cleaned the pool, checked chemicals...almost warm enough to swim :cheer:

...stripped beds, got sheets and blankets washing

...also laundered the cats blankets and kitchen and bathroom rugs

...fed outdoor kitty, while Rooster took care of the indoor ones

...took the Prince to Best Buy, and stopped at the bookstore on the way back...picked up the sequel to a book I very much enjoyed...and he got one too (the electronic stuff was his money....but the book was on me...I'm always happy to buy the kids a book :) )

...home again and relaxing before I make dinner, empty the dishwasher, handwash the goodies I got at the antique/secondhand store yesterday and remake the beds....OH...and make jello for Scoote (she's out!)

my old dog has had several accidents upstairs last night. I shampooed all the rugs up there. A small feat...

She has always wanted to join me wherever I am but lately she is staying on the enclosed front porch. Today, all day. I am going to let her stay out there tonight instead of having her join me upstairs. It hurts my heart not to have her with me but she seems to be picking it. There is a tile area I can leave paper down so she can potty on. She isnt telling me she needs to go out. This is part of the dementia....

Went to work
Exercised (i.e. swept and mopped whole front end, dusted all PCs, cleaned all counters and shelving underneath)
Came home and ate lunch (tortilla with russian on it, with sunflower seeds, albacore tuna, baby lettuce, minced onions and Mrs. Dash Garlic&Herb)
Cleaned ice and snow off Bard's car
Salted the driveway

Federal taxes got deposited in my bank today, so I:
Filled up the truck completely
Paid off my credit card in full ($480 ) WOOHOO!
Put some into my savings to make it an even number (seriously! I hate odd numbers!)
Doubled my monthly payment to another bill :)

I have about $70 left, and that may find itself in my savings too since the truck is filled and I just saved myself from paying $50/month since my credit card is now paid off.

I feel very accomplished! Hopefully my credit score thanks me for paying off my credit card. I am even debating calling and lowering it to half of that. Part of my mind keeps telling me to keep my limit where it's at because maybe I might need it as an "emergency fund" - which is quite possible! and because creditors in future may see asking for a lowered credit limit as a weakness, like I don't have enough control to not spend it all? Hmm. Food for thought! :praying:

Just an FYI...if you want to improve your credit score there's a few key things...

pay your bills on time...all of them and always
have 3 open lines of credit...that's mortgages, car loans or credit cards
do not exceed 1/3 of your available credit...so if the credit card company says your limit is $1000 never have more than a $300 balance on that card

Obviously, you can't do the third one with a car payment or a mortgage in the beginning of the loan....but asking the credit card company to cut your limit in half will make it look like you've used a larger percentage of your available credit...and lower your score.

I messed it up a long time ago - deliquent accounts, ouch. All my bills now are auto-deducted: auto insurance, credit card, Netflix, World of Warcraft - for that reason. Sometimes I'll pay it ahead just for peace of mind prior to the due date/auto deduction. USAA offers CreditCheck monitoring for $5.50/month and I have that too, and it's gone up a whopping 5 points since I started it (about 6 months ago). I saw on a site a few days ago about how having a balance higher than 30% of your overall limit is actually a bad thing - I wasn't aware of this - which led me to suck it up and pay off my balance of $480 out of $500 *nods*

Sounds like you're on the right track...and the next step is patience. It takes 7 years for the accurate, but negative stuff to age off of your record...no matter what any "we fix your credit" scam company wants to tell you. You can fix inaccuracies, but not erase your mistakes (generally).

Having said that...if you have unpaid balances that have gone to collections that still show on your credit report...sometimes you can negotiate to pay a reduced amount if they'll remove the report...but be sure to get that in writing and not just take their word for it.

I need to check it again once it's free - they still had my old bank account listed as needing to be paid, and it had been paid in full. First thing I did after I got all my debts taken care of was request a letter, dated and initialed, showing my account was paid in full and when. I had no reason behind it then except I thought it was a good idea - I may need it as proof sometime it seems.

I managed to make my stomach do flips by looking at Google Earth on the iPhone. Moving through the topographic views with the touch screen makes you feel like you are flying overhead like Superman or something (when looking at an area with mountains). Really weird.

So far today I have gotten the yard mowed, weeded, edged and all of the walks blown off.

Also cleaned all of the outside windows on my house. Will do the inside when I return from the Chiropractor. :)

I love sunny days that are not so humid ya can't breathe outside!

we got the display racks into the basement and protected from the rain...

I did some banking...(so I could)

I mailed an important letter....(see above)

I tried to eat lunch, but can't manage anything more than carrots and a few crackers...

I worked on some art projects...

I resisted saying anything since, there are times and people, just
not worth the energy...however tempting it may be!

I skyped and was skyped...

I gave myself one more day, today, to put off things I need to do...

I tried, and am trying, to figure out how (or what) I can do about a very troubling situation...

and...given the day, I missed my T even more than I usually do...even though he could be a pill on valentine's day...I always knew I was loved... the tangible gifts become more precious as the time passes....

I have not yet accomplished this one, but it is my intention, to eat. some. cake!

I accomplished posting, for the first time, in the 'what did you accomplish thread'...

Today/yesterday (now blended into one another) I managed to accomplish confusion. Spent the night editing my essay on the Cartesian circle, and ended up rewriting the whole thing in a flurry of late night, energy drink driven epiphanies that have now kind of strayed from a critical examination into my own rantings with a little Aquinas, Derrida and Nietzsche thrown in for good measure...except now that I've attempted to circle it all back to my original point I've managed to utterly confuse myself.

Cogito, ergo confundo

A very different sort of a day...

The kids had no school, so it was up and shower and Scoote took me for my blood test. I hate them, and feel like I'm going to pass out...so she was there to drive so I didn't have to sit in the parking lot for half an hour to regroup.

Then she took me out to breakfast. :) Did I mention I love that woman?

Back home, to find her kitty Gracie standing on top of the fence :|

So Scoote headed off to work and I went to Lowe's and got "kitty proofing" equipment. Then 2 solid hours of work in the hot sun...the Prince, Rooster and I got 3/4 of the way around the yard before I ran out of brackets. So it's back to the store tomorrow to get the rest. So far, the kittys are baffled, and trapped. It looks a little bit prison-yardy but not too bad...and we just can't handle losing anymore kittys.

Then, off to the dentist for Rooster and me....the dentist said he has an immense build up of healthy teeth in his mouth :cheesy: and, other than eventually needing his wisdom teeth out, needs not a thing.

I, on the other hand, need 3 more crowns, 2 fillings, and an extraction of my last wisdom tooth....plus a "deep" cleaning that doesn't even begin to sound like fun. Looks like I'll be at the dentist every few months for the rest of the year. :seeingstars:

This definitely calls for pizza night tonight...and a quiet evening with my book. :glasses:

I LOVE my new job!!

I consider today a very successful day!! (despite my raging headache)

This job really makes me feel like I "make a difference"!
I was able to make 3 very good Outreach Efforts to the Department of Social Services Child Care Program (who deal with foster children and parents returning to work, transitioning off of Welfare) and to the WIC Program at the Health Department. They welcomed me as a new member of their Team, after I found out that they previously had no clue of the services "we" offer or the fact they could refer parents and children to me for Health Care Coordination Services. When I walked away, it felt really good knowing how much I can offer these Programs and the over-loaded, over-worked caseworkers. Today, I felt like my struggle and stress in my previous job suddenly was ALL WORTH IT and I finally found a job where I can make a difference!!

While talking about Autism and Developmental Screenings provided by our program, the supervisor introduced me to a co-worker. This young mother has a 2 year old who may or may not be on the Autism Spectrum. I was able to set her up with reliable and valuable resources, educated her a bit about "developmental surveillance" -vs- "developmental/autism screening" and "calmed her nerves" by reassuring her that she "can take control" of the situation, educate herself and be prepared to ask the right questions when her son is screened by a professional.

Just the look of relief on her face and watching a "weight lift" from her shoulders gave me a huge sense of accomplishment. She had been so overwhelmed and scared.

You can accomplish much in this world by making a difference for ONE person. I do believe in "Pay It Forward". Your efforts will blossom to touch many people and their lives.

Got a trim and lowlights
Boi got hys hair 'fixed' after I cut it :|
Ate lunch
Got a power nap then read in hys office while hy went to a meeting
Ate dinner
Finished sorting through mail, opened it all, tossed the trash
Paid a few bills (just need to find the stamps for the ones I couldn't do on-line)
Going to check my bank accounts to see if my other payments went through
Watching movies on Netflix with my hunny

As a side note - I was looking over our insurance statements that show what they paid for what medical visits (100%) and had to giggle because I am under the boi's insurance and our dental office put down hys last name as mine and I am listed as hys spouse. Just added to my allover nice day :)

P.S. I spoke with my department manager and she increased all my hours to 40 hour weeks to go with my full-time status, so I don't have to wait two weeks to get full-time. :sunglass:

Definitely a busy, multi-tasking day...

Rooster fed breakfast, lunch packed and off to school
4 conference calls for work...including one that went 45 minutes past the end of the official work day
made dinner as I finished the last call
cleaned cat box
fed and watered critters
moved sprinklers around the backyard
retreived a kitty from the wrong side of the fence...Rooster and I filled in the latest holes with dirt and bricks
2 loads of laundry
loaded and ran dishwasher
brought trash can and recycle bins up from the curb

I know there was more but I'm too tired to remember! :)

...got all my homework that's due this weekend, finished and submitted (since I get to have quality time with my boo)
...balanced my bank debit register for the first time in years (guess I do pretty good tallying in my head cause I was only off by a dollar)
...drank 9.5 bottles of water today and only 4oz of pepsi
...ate normal people food (INCLUDING fruit!) instead of my weird picky-ass style of junk food
...went to class and took good notes on the lecture
...went to the gym
...made it to the last half hour of the session with my trainer before I f**ked my back up again :(
...didn't cry ALL the way home (just part of the way, kinda felt like an accomplishment to me)
...came in to work eventhough I just wanted to crawl under the covers with some pain killers

started online course for next week's training...need to complete first 2 units by tomorrow (ack!)
3 conference calls, including one that ran until 5:30
tons of paperwork and prep for next week's training

Today's barely begun for me and there's already thunder rumbling, so my plans for today's accomplishments will most likely change.

However, yesterday was a productive day. Seven loads of laundry done and put away in some form or fashion, grabbed Schlotzky's for lunch, had a short day at work, got robbed...er, bought gasoline, I replaced about 75% of the music on my MP3 player as it took a nosedive and had to be reformatted, made dinner, snuggled with my boo, and got pretty close to a full night's sleep. All in all, a good day.

Bonded in secret sisterly distaste for a few of our customers. Shared a sandwich. Spoke with our accountant. Fixed some stuff. Left, as it's a short day for me.

Stopped by the business office at the complex and asked them to send someone over who can figure out our fridge. I keep adjusting the temps, but keep having puddles of water or water with thin sheets of ice waiting for me to clean them out every morning. Today it was only water, so I think I'm on the right track but I do think that there's something wrong with the freezer (where the water's dripping from). They've already replaced the ice maker. Maybe it's time for a brand new fridge.

Got home and got comfy (I put on a shirt Ebon hates. It says 'I'm not opinionated. I'm always right.'. It's hot pink too!) while I tidied up the apartment. Arwen's coming over to see the place! Now, I'm playing on here and soon she and I will be having a late lunch. Ebon may or may not join us.

Depending on the time, I may get my tires checked and rotated and return some stuff to Wal-Mart before coming back home to continue wading through all of our stuff and trying to find places for our things. It's Day 8 from when we moved in and we STILL have boxes in the corners and no artwork on the walls.

We bought our bookcases in advance of the move, so there'd be others to help us move them into the new place.

Yeah, I'm lazy like that.

Today, I:

laid in bed after Ebon got up
made breakfast and the bed
called the complex because my stupid fridge was STILL leaking water
let the maintenance guys in
cleared the freezer out for them to work
ate breakfast (turkey sausage patties and poptarts...breakfast of champions!)
tidied up the apartment after they fixed Frank (the fridge) and left
showered and got ready for work
went to the mall cuz the Macy's is closing and I wanted a good deal
nearly cried because I found a GREAT rug....for $4500  ($1350 on sale!)
snatched up a RL face cloth and a children's dress

...I know it's a children's dress because the sales clerk said "Ma'am, that's a children's dress!" when I asked her if I could try it on...

Pffft!

went to work

while at work: swept out 6 spaces, undamaged some spaces, took payments, argued with someone who wanted something for nothing, filed, corrected an error my boss made, found a HUGE box of crap left by a most annoying customer, broke the boxes within the box down until I got all of it in the dumpster (except for the new, still in the package periodicals I stole first), swept out all the entraceways to the climate control buildings, chatted with some customers, cleaned the office, vacuumed, took out the office trash, closed

came home and took a shower since I got mega yucky at work
started the first of two loads of laundry
chopped up some bell peppers and onion to go with Ebon's baked chicken
made myself dinner (house special wonton soup and a tomato sandwich)
took out the trash and recycling
brought in the three small boxes of periodicals I stol...er, rescued from the trash
pulled Ebon's chicken out of the oven and he went to town on it
discussed with Ebon, again, whether the air works or not in the apartment (he's finally coming around to noticing that it does not, in fact, work)
make a mental note to call the complex in the morning again (I can see I'm going to have one helluva rep as a complainer here...first the cold water is shut off on the kitchen faucet, then there's ants, then the fridge is leaking, and now the air doesn't work...all in about 9 days time)
played on here for a while
ate some Twizzlers

Not a blessed thing. :)
Well, okay...

I played with my dogs
I hid a key
I taped a movie
I napped
I cooked dinner
I Skyped with my honey
I figured out how to knit videos together to make a longer movie

Okay. So I guess I did get a few things done. :)

My day started with giving MetLife Auto a hard time....
They had quoted me for a new policy.... The guy that processed the quote last Friday sent me an email requesting my PA Driver's Report to confirm I had been licensed for more than a year.... he then went on vacation.
On Monday, I emailed the information to his coworker as requested.
Monday morning she told me he had actually processed the policy and made it effective at a MUCH HIGHER rate than the quote...she would try to fix it once she received the DMV report.
She never responded to my email.
This morning, I sent her another email requesting a response and stating that I WAS NOT INTERESTED in the policy at a higher rate and told her to cancel BEFORE my payroll deductions happened. (I stressed that I had ONLY agreed to the quoted amount.)
Well.... as soon as I got to work, she called. When she claimed she didn't get my Monday email or report, I quickly stated "But my Delivery Confirmation tells me you DID get my email." She stopped in her tracks and fixed everything.

My day after that was VERY successful and fulfilling.
My meeting with 3 sets of parents concerning their childrens' health care and special needs went VERY well and I even got hugs from one Mom. I was able to help them overcome barriers to getting their children services. I gleaned important information to update the childrens' records; and updated many of their late immunizations. I got one Mom set up with a special Therapist and another family set up with Community Services, Respite Services and Home Care for a child with many special needs. I so remember being in their shoes. Their looks of relief and "I finally have someone to help"...made my day!!!

I organized a luncheon for 20+ people: I'm hosting tomorrow.
Accomplished getting caught in the POURING down rain when leaving a store with arms full of stuff for said luncheon.
Placed the order for everyone's lunch: I WISH the place had told me Catering Platters were available before I had everyone order individually.
I picked up flowers for our little fundraiser during lunch.
Picked up some newborn baby stuff for our new Gramma in the office.

When I finally got home, unloaded car....let Willy out to get all muddy.
I accomplished slipping down the hill and getting soaked to the bone to go feed critters.

Now I got my PJs on and Willy Bear curled up next to me....we're gonna cuddle and get cozy!!

The busy day really kept my mind off my dad, brother and nieces.

My washer isn't working right and I've procrastinated about going out to do it
Last pair of boxers this morning made me go do it all

Good thing I don't mind folding so dang much

Rolled out of bed after a very annoying dream and too little sleep.

Ate breakie, got ready and went to So. Austin to have oil in car changed and have my tires rotated and checked (was convenient to where I thought I was going later).

Realized that my information was wrong and I went to the correct location for Garden Ridge. Spent unknown amount of time with Arwen at the Ridge of Garden. Restrained myself, financially. This was VERY difficult to do.

Had lunch with Arwen (but not at Garden Ridge).

Went shoe shopping with Arwen.

Came home just before Ashton arrived (almost like I planned it that way, huh?).

Hung out with my honey and Ash and played some gin rummy with them (Ebon cheated!).

Had dinner with Ash and my honey at the OG. It. Was. YUM.

Changed into my stretchy pants.

Tidied up the kitchen, put away the dishes, and fussed at Ebon for getting bleach on the bathroom handtowel (but thanked him for cleaning the bathroom).

Played on the Planet.

I had my timing belt go out on the way to work yesterday. So, I got it towed to the house, picked up the part, changed it out. I have not worked on a car in a while, it was nice to know I still got it.

I've been up for about an hour, I guess. I've fluffed Ebon's laundry in the dryer and folded it as well as throwing a couple of small items in the wash. They are now happily being tossed to and fro by the dryer. I have vacuumed the house, including the tiled areas (some days, it's just easier, no?) and wiped down the kitchen and bath counters, though not in that order. I've made myself breakfast and stayed out of the way while Ebon made his. The bed is made and I've taken something out for dinner to defrost in the fridge. I turned the air off, cuz my honey is of a tropical people and gets cold from the breeze when someone sneezes. I've brushed my hair and tied it back. I've started a list for the mart of Wal and will be going there to return some things and pick a few other ones up in the not so distant future. I'll also be taking out the recycling. Much later in the day, I shall go through more boxes and work on my penpal craft project. Today is my last day off for the week and I expect it to be quite productive.

Got the truck towed
Went to work
Helped (some rather bitchy) customers
Got orders pulled and set up for pick up later/delivery
Helped train the new cashiers
Kept the head cashier from having a melt down by taking over when needed
Swept, cleaned counters, sorted mail into appropriate mailboxes
Asked every single customer if they'd like to donate to Muscular Dystrophy Association and sold the whole stack I had before my shift was over
Introduced the boi to my head cashier who was delighted to meet hym
We went and got my truck
Went to Wal-mart
Had subs for dinner and did shopping to get snacks for road trip (water, rice cakes, multigrain pita chips)
Came home and:
- sorted laundry
- put a load in the wash
- cleaned up the kitchen counters and swept
- put away some dishes
- boi did the kitty litter and vacuumed
- trash is ready to go out when we get home sunday night
- cleaned off the coffee table
- packed clothes for this weekend and swapped out purses

I think that's it. It's a wonder I'm still awake, lol :|

so much stuff, it makes me tired just thinking about it all!!!
I MUST play catch up tomorrow morning.

Went to a school.
Went to 4 meetings.
Threw candy at people.
Got hit in the temple with a piece of candy thrown at me.
Threatened to sue co-worker for Death by Rolo to the temple.
Did a ton of paperwork.
Had a judge tell me what to do. Happens every Thursday.
Told some middle schoolers to be quiet in court or we'll have a mad judge.
Told some middle school boys to keep their gas to themselves or go to the bathroom.
Pondered that 80+% of my kids are middle schoolers and wondered how I got so lucky.
Called a few people I didn't want to talk to.
Ate leftovers.

Today has been long, for once I got to wake the dog and not the reverse :) that in it’s self is amazing since he rises with the sun.

I think I have won the battle with a migraine that has interloped for the better part of three days!!!

Laundry has been suffering the lack of attention as has the kitchen during all the house painting I have been doing, and since thou counters and there tops will soon be departing for some much needed new ones I have lacked the drive to use them or clean them, but that has been achieved to day certainly.

The green blue that looks devishly smart on my living room walls is not so pretty on the bottom of my sink and has been scrubbed away.

The closet doors have been repainted after finishing the repairs of the damages my sister had implemented in one of her attacks.

I cleaned the windows both inside and outside (picture a grown woman enjoying hanging out the second story of a stack of small condos) and had new screens made for the same windows.

Finished replacing outlets and switches in the front room now to tackle the bedrooms and baths

Scraped off the peeling and sanding off paint and caulk around the shower and replaced (in my mind I am still waiting for this to dry till the morning so I don’t pop out the primmer and brush at this very late hour)

Tomorrow I will have to finish painting the bathrooms, and see if the closet needs a second coating, and finish resurfacing the window ledge in the second bedroom if I can keep the cat out of the sill long enough.

I got up with Ebon though I still had half an hour before my alarm went off. Mocked him gently and kindly (and scolded him several times as he tends to let his knees surpass his toes...a no no for form) as he did a Billy Blanks' Bootcamp dvd. Prepare and ate breakfast. Got ready for work. Went to work, dropping off a bag of trash on the way.

Dealt with an ornery old woman and her sheriff son (complete in uniform!), did my usual paperwork, took payments, did a once around on the grounds and picked some errant bits of trash up, signed/folded/sealed/mailed late notice letters to customers, had a snack, cleaned the HELL out of my office (my boss is super nice but a slob and it shows), tracked down a customer's online refund, cleaned out Outlook as we had surpassed our size limit (there were emails from 08 in there...a LOT of them!), started making collection calls, ate lunch, continued making collection calls, took more payments, cleaned some more and closed. Didn't have to go to the bank (WOOT!), so I got home in record time.

Ebon had dinner waiting (tacos) and it was delish. I tidied up the kitchen and washed the big fryer. We took out the recycling and checked the mail. I resisted the urge to vacuum. Since we moved in here, I've developed a mild obsession with keeping the carpets clean (no shoes on the carpet, looking for rugs to put down, and vacuuming like I could suck the thought of dirt from the fibers). We wrestled for a little while and watched a couple of episodes of Outsourced before separating. I'll watch American Idol shortly and he's playing with his fiery vagina.

In a couple of hours, I'll be in bed. I'm pooped and, since today was so calm, I'm guaranteed to have a rough Saturday, especially since I know for a fact that one of my leases is going to have to be completed via the fax. ARGH!

Headed home from a work trip on the redeye flight from AZ...

...landed about 5 a.m.
...got luggage, found the car, headed home
...drove just under 2 hours (with a drive thru for McD's bacon, egg & cheese bagel and coffee....desperate for fuel)
...gave everyone their presents
...hopped in bed with my sweetie for a couple hours
...dozed on and off through the day...rare for me, but I'm wiped out
...made breakfast for dinner...french toast and scrambled eggs
...unloaded, loaded and ran the dishwasher
...got a load of laundry out of the suitcase and into the washing machine

Today I accomplished:

1/3 of my tax stuff
Finding the hidden onion in my cooking magazine (you just don't know how important that is until you can't find it)
Helping 18 customers fix their phones
Getting my dinner in the oven instead of collapsing on the couch
Making people happy
Being joyful even when I was feeling really really tired

Yesterday I realized I was slipping into another insomnia cycle - so, in an effort to nip it in the bud, I took a sleeping pill last night. It didn't help! Didn't fall asleep until 3am. But I did sleep until noon! So, depending on how you look at it, a win!

I managed a shower, breakfast, FB games, trip to the laudry, quick stop at the grocery store, dinner, more FB games, some reading.
Debating if I should pop a pre-emptive sleeping pill.
