Productive day today...

coffee, tea and breakfast for Rooster and for me
packed his lunch
delivered to school
tons of work for work...including a meeting with the new boss
cleaned the pool the right way...not the super fast not really good enough way I was doing it when mom was here
stripped the bed, washed linens and blanket and remade it
vacuumed the entire house
moved a few things back from blue room to my bedroom where they belong
made tacos for dinner...by request :)
with Rooster, unjammed the stuck sliding glass doors in the master bedroom...degunked and lubricated the tracks
emptied the central vac canister....no sign of the palmetto bug I vacced up a month or so ago :)
emptied some old newspaper out of laundry room closet and out with the recycling
Rooster got recycling and trash down to the curb, with a little bit of help from me
did more desk cleaning....still not done
cleared off the wetbar, which we use as display of certificates, etc.....but tends to collect papers
bagged up some donations...will get those dropped off soon
talked and IMed with Snack...can't wait to see him soon :cheesy:

Getting my taxes started, they want $350.00 to file one sheet of paper :|

Sending off my language test money, they charge $285.00 to see if you can understand English :|

Going to work, to help pay for all of my expenses!

busted my ass at work today...

alarm at 5am...

very sleepy, slipped on bathrobe and slippers...
walked dogs
showered
took an hour to use straightening iron my my Irish curls
completely dressed for work
walked dogs again
fed dogs, crated dogs...
packed all my "educational materials" and laptop to car...
left without getting breakfast

between 8am to 11am, conducted a Healthcare Class for Parents at the local Unemployment Office for newly laid off individuals (during class, helped a father of several teenagers understand their Medicaid benefits, coordinate special needs care, set up Medical Homes and coordinate/schedule a surgery consult).... this class was ELECTRIC with all the positive energy and proactive questions/flow of information... I love when I'm able to help families! But it was a BUSY morning...

then back to office to assist a mother with health care applications and tons of required verifications, Program/Service education, getting her child necessary health services since he's gone several years without coverage, ... I tried to make her day less overwhelming and put a "friendly face" to "the system" as she was already intimidated. It really sucks that we have so many GOOD workers out there that are exhausting their unemployment benefits...then the system just "dumps" them off and expects them to provide for their families with NO or very little monthly income.

spent the rest of my work day charting and pulling reports, analyzing last months activities, following up with the Vocational Rehab Admin, coordinating care with our Case Managers and Social Workers, ...generally busting my ass to catching up with documenting Outreach and Class activities so I can file my monthly report.... (all very boring to *you*, I'm sure... ;) )

But....today made me feel excited and positive because I felt I was able to "impact" families and make positive changes in their self-management and services... I love face-to-face Outreach compared to 25 to 30 phone calls a day that never seem to make an impact.

Once home...

Walked the dogs
Paid Rent
chatted with the landlord and coaxed him into grading the land around the farm house so I can mow it easier and start my garden with freshly tilled soil... *supervised said grading operations*
chatted/planned with landlord about him using the fields around me to plant blueberries and HUGE strawberry patches this year *YAY!!!!* can't wait!!
Brainstormed with landlord about buying another NICE 35 acre farm out at the Lake, where it's primed for several kinds of "fresh start" home businesses... (we both had our wheels turning!)
packed dogs in car, headed to Blade's house...dropped dogs off, picked up Blade...
Treated us to dinner because I was hungry for steak and shrimp...
met friends at coffee shop and had a GREAT TIME laughing our asses off at a very cute, dear friend with her jokes about the new Adam and Eve store and her new found knowledge of fisting
went back to Blade's
Got puppy from kennel
and logged online to finish a job app.....

Didn't accomplish much at all today.... but it feels like it was all non-stop.

This next comment is for Ryobi : I needed that HOPPER FIRE to keep me going today!!! ;) ;)

Had a lie in until 8am…
Made the bed, showered, dressed and had breakfast…
Got the furbabies sorted for the day…
Cleaned the house as best I could (I’ll be finding builder’s dust for weeks to come!).
Put all of my CDs into a new case as the old one had fallen apart and lost the will to live!
Laced and framed a Cross-stitching my cousin has done…
Had lunch…
Dyed 4 pairs of Linen slacks…
Done two loads of laundry and dried them…
And there’s still more to accomplish before the day is over…

A trip was made to the thrift store. All in all, 3 big garbage bags of clothes and one box went as well.

I got a post office box set up in case the mail gets wonky in the move.

I ran errands for work.

I went to the bank.

I paid the last of my rents for this month.

I packed a little.

I helped Ebon decide not to mail a huge box today.

I am eating Twizzlers right now.

Before the end of the night, I'll have worked on an art project some more and done more packing.

Dinner. I need to think about dinner too, since breakfast was a banana and lunch was a Cherry Limeade.

Busted ass to get up and moving to get to work on time (after 2 days off)

Got a call on break that the seller accepted the offer on our bid - maintained most of my composure sans a lot of bouncing!

Sold (only) 6 shamrocks at work (raising money for MDA)

Stayed a little late training the new girl

Browsed washers since the house has no washer, just a dryer

Came home almost an hour late, surfed around FB, cuddled with the puppy that bit her tongue it seems and it has turned her into a cowering pup

Cleaned up the floor in our bedroom and living room, decided to shampoo

Skipped food all day sans 5 mint cookies.. I am hungry :|

Slept late (9am), went to work, wrote up my employee (twice), stayed late at work, checked mail, started cleaning and packing, exercised an IMMENSE amount of self-control by not coming on the site until I had enough boxes finished to warrant it, listening to music while packing and also charged my MP3 and ran the dishwasher while the packing and cleaning was commencing. Sorted 'stuff'.....recycleable stuff, trash stuff, stuff to pack, stuff to donate, etc. Ordered food and am now eating food. I'll still get a couple more boxes and some more sorting done before I hit the sack tonight. I was a good cookie today!

Asleep at 3am-ish. I did get a few more boxes packed! I also moved the packed boxes around so it's easier to see which ones are going to the first place and which are going to the second place.

Awake at 7:30am. On the dot. No, not on purpose.

:|

Attempts to pretend I'd never woken up and am really still sleeping were fruitless. Leftover meat ravioli from dinner last night in the oven heating, finishing up online playing around, witnessed 'doe snot'...which gave me a case of the giggles so I know it's going to be 'one of those days at work', threw a couple of things into the recycling bag, and I will get at least a couple more boxes/tubs packed/rearranged before I get ready for work today.

OMG, I have succeeded in rendering my lower back useless.

Bah.

I 'officially' moved yesterday. While I used movers, I packed and arranged...and REarranged....the boxes so that they could come in and literally grab and run. I was on a short schedule (aka I didn't want to pay them more than the minimum) and we had 3 stops to make.

And, as they were loading up, to help expedite things, Ebon and I pulled stuff out so it was closer to them and we also loaded my car up before the movers even got there.

So, we moved and then we and a friend moved a couple other things and then we ate. And ate. And ate. I'm still full from yesterday.

Then I packed more and took a couple loads over to the new place. Then I ate dinner with Ebon and we watched a show. Then I came back to the new place and rearranged and unpacked things until the wee hours of the morning.

Bright and early, I started the process again and have just tossed in the towel for today. There was more I was supposed to do, but it's just not happening. Back. Too. Tired.

- Spent some leisurely time fixing the bass
- Got a call from the boss asking me to spend next week in Regina for a project wrap-up; spent time on the phone rearranging my life

Sorted the Kitties for the day.
Showered, had breakfast and cleaned the kitchen.
Made myself a packed lunch.
Did two loads of washing.
Got to the DSA for 8am and started the Kiln going.
Cleaned the paint brushes and mixed some paints.
Just waiting on the folks to arrive and enjoy themselves…

Following on from this morning…

Bought two new Fire Extinguishers for the house. (No! My cooking isn’t that bad and neither is my cousin’s! LOL!)
Took the old ones to the Fire Station along the road and was allowed to let them off until they ran out! (I love doing that, it’s such great fun! LOL!)
Came home and did some house work.
Had a shower and cooked dinner.
Gave the Kitties their Seaweed and Salad leaf treats.
Went to Tai Chi.
Came home, had another shower and got into my Jammies.
Made a pot of tea and read my Stitching magazines.

Ate a bowl of raisin bran
Going to nap for a few till the girl comes back home.
Probably sit up obnoxiously late like I do on weekends.

Today is my day off
It started with computer time
Scooped litter boxes
Cleaned up after whichever cat has been heaving up their food
(wishing they would just chew it first and end this problem)
Made coffee and toast
More computer time
Started laundry, did 2 loads
More computer time as I waited on laundry
Cleaned up after that darn cat again
Scooped litter boxes, again
And yet more computer time while waiting to fold luandry
Folded laundry and put pants on hangers
Went to the Carniceria for jalapenos and tortillas
Started to put dinner together
Ate dinner
More computer time

This was a nice lazy way to spend my day off because next day off is house cleaning...uggggghhhhhh

I busted my butt at work today and got LOTS of manual labor stuff done. I went to the old apartment and spent about an hour and a half there, washing dishes and containers and packing a couple of boxes and filling up one large bag for the garbage and one large bag for the recycling and I took them both out. I brought the 2 boxes home and unpacked them, showered, started a load of laundry and am having a bowl of ice cream while I meander online.

I got up early and without coffee went shopping for drinks and fruit and granola bars for our retreat planning day.

Then I got a quick coffee and got to work just in time.

Cue retreat planning session ALL day. Much strategic thinking. Thinky thinky.

As soon as it was over and just before we were all going to go for a drink, I managed to spill used toner in every colour of the rainbow all over the copier, the floor, and the walls. That was fun.

Drinks.

Grocery shopping.

Walked the dog.

Important phone call to help someone.

And now I'm exhausted!

I've been lazy this morning. Got up and unloaded dishwasher, made breakie, made my bed, played on here, ate breakie and now I need to get into gear.

I've got stuff to put on CL and FC and then I need to hightail it over to the old place to clean and pack the remaining stuff. Long day ahead of me.

Got up and went to the laundry mat. We're having a wee Sangria/St. Paddy's day thing tonight and I figured I sure wouldn't be up for laundry tomorrow.

Made coffee.

Now waiting on The Boy to wake up to go do things......

Me too, especially since not only am I cleaning up after everything but I'm sorting through what Ebon left to figure out what to keep, sell, give away or toss. Plus neither one of us was Mrs. or Mr. Homemaker recently so the place is just gnarly.

Sooooo....the day has not been as long as I anticipated and that is because I decided that it's MY day off, dammit, and I'm going to relax for more than a few minutes of it or someone has to die.

Since I didn't feel like going to jail, I have stopped for the day.

While I was there I did get some stuff done:

3 bags of trash out
1 bag of recycleables out
all the furniture that's for sale is clean and sparkly and ready to go
all the free stuff I put on CL has been picked up
4 boxes of kitchen related goodies came home with me
1 FULL car load went to Goodwill
I tried to mail Ebon some of the things he couldn't take with him but I was 9 minutes late to the post office :(

AND

I went shopping for groceries and miscellaneous items like a margarita candle (oh, yes I did!) and some new pillows.

I also grabbed dinner because there's a law somewhere that says you are not supposed to make your dinner on the days you go grocery shopping.

Anywho, that's my day and it's not even 7pm. I might get some sorting of the stuff in the garage done here. I can do that in my jammies which is what I'll be in after my shower soon. :cheesy:

Running on about 4 hours of disturbed sleep....

made coffee
made tea for Rooster
logged on to send love to my honey
decided that I needed to go to the beach and get in a long walk
grabbed an apple, the big dog (Rooster and the little dog declined), poured my coffee in a travel mug and headed to dog beach
had a fantastic 3 mile brisk walk in sand, made some Vitamin D, and laughed my ass off watching the pup play in a veritable dog party
took a long hot shower
called the appliance repairman and made an appointment to have the washing machine belt replaced....I'm handymanned out at the moment
made lunch for Rooster and myself....tuna salad, green olives, crackers and milk
had a long talk with mom in the hospital
talked to my honey
talked to Rooster
took Rooster to gaming
went to Tractor Supply for dog food, milkbones, a GIANT bag of rawhide chewies and a pink t-shirt with glittery flip flops on it that says "Live Laugh Love"
went to Lenscrafters and picked up my new glasses....very cute and far more comfy than last year's mistake
talked to my honey some more
ate some multi-grain cheerios with banana for dinner
now waiting to pick up the Rooster when he's done playing
and somewhere in there made some very important decisions

What did I accomplish today? Well, to start…

Freak when I discovered Spritely (yes! That’s his name) escaped from his enclosure during the night and I nearly stood on him this morning at 5:30! …I’m convinced that damn Tortoise has turbo boost!

Tastefully wear my breakfast, thus, having to change before leaving the house!

Get covered in paint, glitter and various other Art and Craft paraphernalia!

Drop my phone no less than 4 times! …It bounces! …Waaaaaayhaaaay! :cheesy:

Scare the crap out of someone by coming up behind them and saying: ”Hello!” …Am I really that bad?! Turns out, she was in her own little world and didn’t here me enter the room…

And, the pièce de résistance; I broke a side plate as I was cooking dinner!

Getting moving after breakfast was an accomplishment because of taking two pain pills last night that made me hung over but still sore....

After bath... cleaned bathroom from top to bottom

Went to Restore looking for gardening stuff

Went to a Camper sales place and checked out about two dozen campers ... fell in love with two... daydreamed big time... still thinking of possibilities since I no longer have a car payment and my new job will double my pay...

Picked up newly hemmed dress pants...

Came home... built a nice cold box/mini greenhouse from old recycled wood windows ...very happy with results ...just need to put top on it tomorrow ...

Wore self out lifting windows and LARGE HEAVY glass doors...

Warmed up left over soup for dinner

Showered off stinky sweat and sore shoulders... scrubbed one puppy squeaky clean...

Put clothes in laundry ...

Now time to put ice on busted foot and shoulders. ... then curl up with clean pup... poor Willy will have to wait till tomorrow for his bath...

My butch bud and I had intended to attend an out of town outing but it was a rain out. (Hmmmm, how many times can one use the word "out" in a sentence before it becomes unmanagable?? *grin*) We met for breakfast anyway. We had lots of laughs, good food - great time. I mowed the lawn when the sun came out this afternoon.

I guess the biggest accomplishment was getting a femme's phone number ... been crushing on her for awhile. She is so smart, witty and tastefully outspoken. I think she is gorgeous and sexy. And there is nothing harsh at all about her personality. I love it when a femme is assertive and still has the ability to be "soft." I don't come across this combination of characteristics (which I find so attractive) very often. Totally refreshing! I could not believe while we were talking, she said, "Here, let me give you my phone number." She reached over and squeezed my bicep when I was leaving ... holy mercy, my arm felt like it sizzeled. LOL!

I hand selected mason jars from the thrift store so I could start canning and preserving. Dragging my fingertip slowly across the lip of the jar and looking for hairline cracks so they seal properly and don't explode when I go to use them.
I would rather use pre loved jars, they are so abundant in thrift stores and so cheap!
I loved looking at the little scraps of labels left on them too!
I hope I can do those jars proud!
I've picked out some simple recipes and now I just need to dive in!
And if I am a hack at canning, I can use them for jargarita's!!!!

5. Swimsuit on, gym bag packed. Heading to the pool.

6. Dress is ironed for when I get back, going to church here for the first time since I moved here. Exciting and scary, shall we say?

7. Wrote my morning pages.

8. Made a list of things to do, not only today, but tomorrow and the whole week long. I do love my lists too, Jo :-)

9. Enjoying a beautiful cup of tea in the quietude of the early morning.

I'm sure there's other stuff I'm leaving out but ummmmm.... I'm tired.

P.S. I'm thinking none of this is listed in prper order but that would mean accomplishing something else at this time and well, I think I just wanna skip it for now.

I'm covering up the frog pond in the driveway. Chuckles it isn't really a frog pond it is where ruts have worn in my driveway and people have tried to drive on the hump to avoid the mud hole and it has wallowed out even more. So what I am accomplishing today is shoveling off a ton of abc granite in the ruts at the frog pond and I think it is going to take another ton to fill it. Just a side note...I'm getting to dang old to be shoveling rock/dirt out the back of a truck, a ton at the time.:cigar2:

Successfully signed up a customer for the Lowe's AmEx card - a hard feat! Woohoo an additional $10 into my paycheck!
Found out I have an interview Monday morning with HR and my Assistant Manager for the Head Cashier spot - wish me luck! :praying:
Came home and cuddled, napped for an hour, then Bard woke me up because our friends brought over the kitchen hutch we bought from them for the *ALMOST-OURS* new house :D
Speed cleaned living room before they came over.. that crept into the kitchen, where now the floor is cleaned, dishes are done and everything is shiny and smells like lime! Shower is currently being 'soaked' in no-scrub OxyClean
Had a dinner of apple&cinn oatmeal and 1% milk
Skipped laundry for tomorrow
Did my History homework for the week - paper done, and aced both quizzes.. Now to start my midterm review presentation tomorrow!
Now starting up on Spanish homework and relaxing watching K-9: P.I.

We get the kiddo tomorrow for the weekend, and so far making meatloaf, dying eggs and possibly bowling are on the agenda.

Hopefully no frogs were injured in this project :)

I got such a tickle when I read this. I promise, no froggies, tadpoles or their cousins were hurt in his project ... *chuckles*... when I was Blade's roommate, I was known for saving froggies and turtles from the road or doggies. The frog pond was named so because the rut in driveway was so deep. ..there's froggies EVERYWHERE around here...even need to be careful mowing lawn....I now live a mile away and have my very own frog pond filled with tadpoles and spring peepers. .as often as possible, I accomplish a nice walk to that pond. .... poor Blade has spent two days shoveling gravel into his drive. ... but we save all froggies from harm. We LOVE froggies 'cause they eat all the 'skeeters!!

That's a good start to the day, right?

Ate breakkie, loaded the dishwasher, grimaced at all the food the housemate and his friends left out overnight on the counter, talked with luv, listened to music, putzed online, got ready and went to work, stayed late and scrubbed floors (Yay. Aren't you all jealous of the glamorous life I lead?), ran some errands and shopped, talked to luv, checked mail, unloaded car, ate dinner with the housemate, watered and fed my plant, put some more stuff in the dishwasher, did a load of laundry, snacked on sweets, played online some more and I'm about to get off here and go talk to my honey again.

Did my History final and course feedback survey. Got a 91.8% on the final, now just waiting for my last source analysis assignment to be graded :D Currently have 876 points which equals a B. SAA is worth 60 points max, so I know I will make it to A- (starts at 900). So, as long as I score a minimum of 54, I will get an A :D (starts at 930). Otherwise, an A-. And that'll be okay. But I am rooting for a A!

We also sorted through a lot of clothes, in preparation for moving, so that felt pretty good. Truth be told, Bard did a lot of the cleaning these last two days. I have been sick so I have stayed in bed.. Not that it benefitted me any, I am still sick!

A lengthy conversation with a friend about her new weightloss program she's been doing. She's a new nutritions graduate and has always been into holistic medicine and naturopathy so I knew she definitely would have done her research to make certain it was safe for her body before using it or promoting it. I'm interested... We'll be talking some more later.

I took a movie back to the video store that the kids loaned me last night... The Vow. It was a good chick flick!

Dropped off my paperwork so I could officially be put on the payroll... Yay!!

Went for my TB testing. A requirement for employment at the shelter. I'll go back Monday to get my reading/results. The receptionist was looking up my records and said "you haven't been in at all this year." I replied "nope, I don't come in unless I really feel that I need it... and I haven't so far." :)

bought a bay tree, olive tree, 3 chilli pepper plants (because they had been reduced in price to 25p) and a tray of 12 begonia (for 50p!)
went back to collect my signed prescription, decided I liked some frames after all :D soooo I didn't need the signature since it was being used in store. choose 2 very different frames (buy one, get one free) and they will be ready in a week. Whoop!
cooked a korma, leaving it simmering slowly
mowed the lawns front and back
planted trees, begonia and repotted the 3 chilli pepper plants
took a bubble bath, because I was all dirty again. oops.
ate the curry
now I'm chillin'

This morning before the sun was up...
pulled the air conditioner from the window just to have it flood my living room floor and dump all over my dress clothes...

Broke my glasses... very HAPPY I found the teee-tiny screw that dropped out of the frames

After that, the biggest accomplishment was making the 3 hour drive to work without a single hick-up! :seeingstars:

I made it to work 15 minutes early.

I completed a ton of work that had piled up with my vacation absence.

I did NOT grrr or roll my eyes at any coworkers.

I was able to complete tasks for home like picking up supplies and groceries on the clock. :) :)

I locked up and came home 15 minutes early before the rain started so that I would not be caught in it and melt being composed of almost 100 percent sugar. :D

I actually did a lot for getting rained out from work.

I put in a new electric circuit for my new room I am finishing, which means I now have lights and a ceiling fan in there:)

Since I don't have cable or satellite, I hooked up my haven't used in ages VCR and barely used DVD player....and they work. I watched The Sandlot, just to be sure!

Went to the bank

Took my kid to the auto repair shop to get her car.

Pretty pleased getting stuff done that wasn't planned:)

Got up at 7:30, even with a HUGE benedryl hangover
walked dogs
almost laid back down just for few minutes
got back up
hooked up washer
washed large load of sheets and towels
hung them outside
raked a very large pile of yard debris and limbs from my back porch and patio
pulled some weeds
busted my ass starting my non-self-propelled, old fashioned "choke" push mower
mowed a large area all around the house, pump house, around parking lot and clothes line and a path between the pump house and garage, back to the water spigot where I had previously seen the huge snake skin
thought the entire time how much it hurt my hands and arms to work that damn non-self-propelled mower, cussing my landlord the whole time for digging up my land so bad and never leveling it out
came back in
fed dogs
started/finished 2nd load of laundry
got bath
walked dogs
cleaned bathroom
went to SC after Blade picked me up
Got groceries and lunch
bought some work clothes (tops)
came home
unloaded groceries
tried on all the tops with my dress pants and skirts, very happy with purchase (now I don't need to roast to death in polyester shirts)
went over to Blade's to get a few things
loaded almost all of what I had left in my old bedroom
came back home, unloaded it into front-room for sorting later
back out to grocery store for forgotten items and steaks for tomorrow
back home
unloaded again
heated up dinner
ate dinner outside while enjoying my patio area and park bench, with my puppies at my side
sorted, folded, hung up, organized laundry/changing room and filled a large bag for goodwill of clothes and things I'm tired of tripping over
emptied several boxes of clothes, got rid of most of it.
walked dogs
propped self in bed, exhausted and very sore

-Decided to change the burned-out halogen bulbs in my outdoor floodlight.
-Went to Home Depot, bought halogen bulbs.
-Tried to unscrew tiny little screw to gain access to the bulb.
-Stripped out tiny little screw, unable to change bulb.
-Cursed.
-Went online, read reviews of this brand of floodlight, found out many others have stripped out tiny little screw and are unable to change bulbs.
-Went back to Home Depot, returned halogen bulbs.
-Looked at other floodlights, debated whether I want to change the whole fixture out.
-Decided "fuck it, I don't need to be in the back yard after dark anyway."

So what did I accomplish today? Absolutely nothing.

I feel very proud of what I accomplished today. Read three very long chapters for school, took three chapter exams and got A's on all three, wrote a journal entry about group therapy facilitation, commented on a couple discussion board posts, and got to play my online game. Today was very productive and I hope tomorrow is too. Three more chapters and their exams will make me not just joyous but ecstatic. LOL!!
