Today, I've gotten up and taken care of the :cat:, gone to the gym and worked out, stopped by the bank to get stuff for work, and put one of the comforters in the wash before going to the gym and then into the dryer when I got back. Then I had to move the :cat: around as he did not want to give up his spot on the bed for me to strip the sheets. I listened sympathetically to his very vocal outcry at the injustice of it all. The sheets are now in the wash and the first comforter is about to come out of the dryer. I've made breakfast and eaten it and put some dishes away. Next up is laundry switcheroo, more complaining from the :cat: and maybe some boogie music as I do more chores.

Got up early and took car for oil change, took my spouse to the barbershop for her haircut, got groceries, poured her medicine for the week, did my required amount of squats for the squats challenge I'm doing, played outside with my dogs, changed lightbulb in back porch light, cooked dinner, did dishes, cleaned bathrooms, called around for a cleaning job for the Summer (still no luck) and now I'm just hanging out watching tv.

I'm pretty happy with my accomplishments for the day. I went into the office to help my employee for a couple of hours, made and ate brunch, put together an IKEA-ish L shaped desk with topper, painted on a metal shelving unit some more, answered some office questions and issues and went to let my employee into the office when she locked herself out, cleaned the windows and dusted in the craft room, put the last of the face plates on the outlets, went shopping for crafts and food and decided to treat myself so I splurged on some good wine and picked up some delicious sides and a large slab of porterhouse. It's my first wine of the year. Yay!
:wine:
I cleared all the dishes in the kitchen and I'm doing laundry now and am catching up on my recorded shows in the background.
I drove three hours to the coast to make a video about my project and then drove three hours home. Only a 10 hour day yay!

a day in the life of me...
Day off, slept till 9:30!!
Enjoyed the morning with coffee, flipping thru channels, planning the to do list;
oil change
Dollar store for steel wool, for a project. Also, got things for Easter:)
Craft store for some floss, another project.
Office Max, ran off 30 pages of a business grid I needed.
Stopped for lunch..a real hamburger with fries.
Ultra, had a coupon for sunscreen...scored! That stuff is not cheap.
Pick up a few groceries, for dinner and lunches.
Oh, and I between all those places, I stopped for double Hoilday surprises. (Talking in circles, cause I know he will be reading this...lol)
Came home with goodies, and then swept the floors, vacuumed, and washed the rugs. Just in time for him to come home.
Sat in the backyard, shared stories of the day. Enjoyed the spring afternoon, with a cocktail, watching the various birds, relaxing. I love the time we actually spend together 💞
Made dinner.

Changed the ac filter, and washed a load of clothes
Took a spanish test. Passed but could have done better.
Did some research on a big project I am working on.
Possibly sold the drop in liner for the truck bed. Forgot to put the new stickers on my truck tag.
Watered the plants and my Moringa tree
Not really much of anything! :byebye:

I slept for nearly twelve hours, which I truly needed lots of rest after a very busy week.
The laundry is on to dry, will fold it soon, maybe do a smidgen of ironing.
I have not decided what to make for supper.
Maybe breakfast: Waffles, bacon and eggs?
Later on tonight, I will give myself an manicure and pedicure.
Right now though, while I wait on the laundry to dry, I'm basking in the late afternoon sun and reading posts, quietly thinking.

Made breakfast for my folks, fished all morning, helped my dad saw off and move a huge sweetgum limb from over the pond, fished again for the rest of the afternoon and then made the hour and a half drive home. Now I am chilling in my PJs with the kitty, nursing a sunburn, and having a glass of vino.
It has been a good day. I needed the time with my parents and the peace and quiet of nature. :)

Made enough food to last for a few days so I won't have to take a break from crafting to cook or run the oven during the predicted warm spell. Readied the four craft pieces I've finished so far for shipment. After lunch I spent a few hours going through boxes in the back room. My sons will help me with all the hard work of getting things either to the dump or into storage but in order for them to help me I’ve got to get the organizational sorting and decision making stuff done. This since only I know what is important enough to me to be worth holding onto. Rescued Monte from a neighborhood bully, he’s really friendly and just doesn’t seem to get that some other cats you know they don’t want to make friends they just want to kick his ass. That and probably if he wishes to escape pain, torture, agony, the best place in life to run is not going to be straight into the holly bushes. Next I readied a bunch of stuff to send off with my youngest to auction off on ebay. Did the dishes and that was about it. Now a little ironing before bed so I can wake up in the morning with less of to do/get finished before the day really starts heating up.

The other day I ordered a big box full of various dried herbs, about a dozen large bags in all, plus 10 lbs of raw shea butter, and a bunch of essential oils.
So I spent the better part of this morning, washing and sterilizing half gallon and quart canning jars, packing the herbs in, and putting them in the herb pantry. I need more jars! Then I got the EOs packed into a sealed container, so they don't taint my food, and placed them in the fridge. I still need to process the shea butter, as well as a brick of Black African Soap, but that will have to happen this evening because it is a job in and of itself. My house sure does smell good though! ;)

Not much, officially. I've got the second of two loads of laundry in the dryer now and the bed is awaiting that comforter when it comes out. The first load was bed sheets and towels and I've put the towels away and put the sheets back on the bed. I've eaten breakfast and lunch and checked one of my emails.
The bulk of my morning has been spent working on crafts so now my fingers are stained because the sprays I bought that worked fine at first are now leaking like a sieve. I've got blue, red and purple blotches on my fingers that isn't scrubbing off. Ooops.

Went to TJ Maxx to return a pair of shorts that I had ordered online but they sent me a pair 4 sizes larger than I wear-don't know how they did that but someone may have gotten a pair 4 sizes too small for them. found a nest on the ground..one baby bird out of three was still a live. so, I picked it up with a towel, grabbed a basket and filled it with soft greenery and the rest of what I could find of the nest, placed the bird inside and hung the basket in the tree. That was this afternoon...checked on it and it was still alive. I'm just hoping one of the babies parents finds it and feeds it. It's got spirit..would like to see it continue.
Is the deal where the parents won't come back if a human was around their baby true? I think it depends on the bird? If so, you might want to take it to a bird sanctuary if you are lucky enough to have one near you.

From what we found online was to put it in a basket and hang it. I have been watching and birds have been around the tree and the basket is in. So, I don't know. I didn't touch it with my hands...so, I'm hoping the guidance found online is trust worthy.

It can be true but it depends on how young the bird is. I think the younger the bird, the more likely it will be accepted back into the family. Someone told me something about how fluffy they are and if they are still fuzzy, they have a better chance.
Today, I accomplished feeding my soul. I satisfied the obnoxious 12 year old boy inside of me as well as the happy go lucky wants-everything-to-work-out young girl. Plus, I got paid to play hooky at work. That's an accomplishment I don't get to pull off often.

Straightened up the living room.
Got Sadie to put all of her babies back into her toy box. She has 30+ stuffed animals (babies).

Cleaned the outside glass on the front of the house which amounts to 3 windows and a glass storm door. Not bad.

I still need to toss Sadie into the tub and scrub her down good, then I will clean the bathroom. Hopefully I will get both finished this evening, if not, it will go on tomorrow's list.

Called in to see how that impacted her financial package and it impacted it in a huge and positive way- kid has an almost free ride coming this year.
Sat with the kiddo to plot out what her class schedule might look like next year if she can get into all of the classes she wants/needs.
Started looking at applications and requirements for me to get my MSW... contemplating.
Washed curtains and bedding.
Mended some clothes that need mending.

Thank you and thank you! The test is part figuring out what level to get placed for things like math and reading, and also weighs things like academic merit for scholarships, grants, etc. It's helpful to us because she's enrolling in rather back door way as a homeschooler and is finishing high school while in college.

So, I took out the old screen to see what part number I would need to order. Grabbed my old laptop and took out the screen to see if it would work. It's to fat to fit but works when plugged in. I redeemed myself from total laziness. I am on call for work. I received a call that one of the van doors on a ramp van would not close. They van would not shift into drive because of the door. I call our maintenance guy thinking he would go deal with it. Nope. All I got from him was that it's happened before and that there is a piece you need to push back in. I get there and look it over. I'm down on the ground in my floral/zebra print baby doll dress and I asked the staff to get me a screwdriver. She snickered and said to another staff, "Angela, the mechanic, needs a screwdriver." I only wanted it because my fingers weren't long enough to feel inside the sliding mechanism. Then I was told by the snickerer that she had already looked everything over. She made a comment about me being down on the ground in my dress. (My legs were still crossed, some people are so catty)

Got much closer coordinating a PRODUCTION database move to a new server. Been on the phone with an app engineer in Utah, trying to get a teleconference call together to discuss back up maneuvers regarding their software in the event we get an Oracle hiccup. Their software talks to our database. We have an Oracle DBA capable of wizardry on our team at work so I honestly do not anticipate issues. I have given him users who will need tnsnames.ora file adjustments, plus their node names. Getting mixed signals from supervisor, think he may be a little jumpy. If something breaks, we'll fix it. I am in training downtown all day tomorrow. I passed the magic wand to my supervisor today at 4:45, told him if Utah emails me (supervisor is on the CC list) and says they can do the dry run teleconference on Wednesday, to accept that schedule, then tell them we need to go live on Thursday afternoon. It is really no big deal at all but some are making it unnecessarily difficult. The "people factor" is always more difficult to me than anything in this arena.

Called my parents to see how their doctor appointments went (clean bill of health x 2...yay!)
Mixed the secret sauce for my chicken enchiladas (I have cooking detail at the firehouse, tomorrow)
Fielded a phone call from my PT gig that started with "As my FTO, convince me that throat punching or calling ____ the fucking idiot that they are, is not a good idea..." Talking a new boot down can be challenging at times, especially when several of us feel the same way about the same person, for pretty much the same reasons. But, alas, the new boot has been convinced to take the high road, commended for following chain of command, and talked out of commiting homicide. For now.

I got to the counter to pay, the guy says , you carried these? he looked, they were 20 pounds each. What? I won't be doing that again!
Stopped at my fav grocery store and when I got home, I had discovered a yogurt had gotten squished. Nice mess.
And, two of my Diet Coke cans spring a leak, and no carbonation.

I was doing pretty good for a while today. I got the dishwasher going and had one load of wash in the dryer and one in the washer when I went to the gym. Then I returned something to a store and dropped some letters off at the post office on the way home. Breakfast was made and eaten and the dryer load was refreshed and put away, including the bed cover. The second load of laundry was re-laundered because I forgot to include a color catcher the first time and even though I've owned these garnet sheets for years now, they always bleed off a little bit. That load has been washed twice, dried and is on the bed again. I've caught up with several shows in the DVR and have put away the rest of the laundry and my dishes from breakfast are rinsed and I'm drying out a milk container for recycling. I've chatted briefly with a couple of friends, checked my email and have done a couple of minor house chores.
Then I lost steam and now I'm just sitting here like a doofus.
I mowed about 4 acres and trimmed around the house. I have tried to fix the printer without success.
