I'm one of those people who likes to get things done...I work from home, and multi-task all day.

I often stress myself out when I look at how many things remain on my various "to do" lists...so one of the things I do to make myself feel better sometimes is to make another list...a list of the things I have accomplished each day.

Some items are big, some are small...and some days the list is longer than others. Let's face it, some days just getting out of bed is an accomplishment. :)

Here's a place for you to do the same...and give yourself a pat on the back for all the things you did manage to get done.

I'll start...today I accomplished:

made coffee for me and tea for the Rooster
made breakfast (scrambled eggs and toasted bagel) for both of us
packed Rooster's lunch
took Rooster to school
set the tide clock I got Scoote for our anniversary
packed her lunch and delivered it to her at work
went to Ace Hardware - returned the incorrect parts and got the right one to repair the broken sprinkler pipe
restocked TP in both bathrooms
made lunch (turkey, lettuce and tomato on wheat....yummy)
took Advil for my sore shoulder
cleaned the cat box
did laundry all day...4 loads washed and dried, 5 loads folded, hung and put away (there was one left in the dryer when I started...oops)
brought recycle bins and trash can up from the curb
unpacked Rooster's suitcase from his trip to NY
installed a new sprinkler head....yippee!
gave the lawn a good drink, then reset the sprinkler system's automatic schedule
sprayed RoundUp on the weeds in the gravel part of the driveway
picked up Rooster from school
made dinner
packed up the leftovers and put in fridge
loaded and started the dishwasher
wrote a letter I've needed to write, copied some paperwork to go with it
and in between all of that I did my regular job....posted on the Planet...cuddled kittys, etc.

Today, I....

* got up, had a banana, and made the bed

* went to the gym for an amazing workout

* took a bunch of stuff to the recycling bin but gave the aluminum to the guy going through our dumpster...I figure it's going to the same place and, if he can make some buck off of it, it's a win win situation

* got some unexpected time to myself to chill (a high commodity for me)

* made myself lunch

* washed the bathroom mirror

* talked and texted with my boss

* showered

* had some cuddle time with Ebon

* ran some errands and brought pizzas home for dinner

* cooked pizzas and ate dinner with my honey

* watched the Biggest Loser season premiere

* found this girl
Sp-wFsrM-Ng

* playing on here

*....soon to be done....rewrite some notes from work and fall to sleep while reading my ginormous work manuals

Yesterday I grocery shopped for me and the furr babies for one month! Then came home popped a pain pill ate lunch and slept for eight hours.

This morning I washed dishes and clean all the counter tops with bleach.

That's it for today other than the routine stuff like eating, bathing, feeding the "kids".

been purging my belongings the last couple days (12 hefty bags and several boxes later... of clothing, linens, purses, shoes, dishes etc)
my son and I will be taking all of it to the battered womens shelter tomorrow!
(cept the darling purse and few suprises for SD and the kiddo!)

I had accomplished the whole house by this evening- rid myself of clutter, and it's sparkling now!
(btw, have I mentioned how much I LOVE the Mr Clean Lavender/Vanilla?? Woot!!)

I accomplished an even head, and an even tone all day too-
the good girl that I am kept my toungue in check, and refrained from running my mouth,
even managed to keep all the heavy glass objects in my house from flying.

AND- I am not divorced yet, and Damon is still alive and kicking-
it was touch and go there some of the day tho, I'm tellin ya-

mission accomplished- at least for today.:praying:

Yesterday was shopping day...and not fun shopping either. We went to Lowes (air filters, pool shock...and 2 nice plants from the clearance rack....woot!) I also got paint chips to compare to our bedroom, because I really want to freshen it up but keep a very similar color. It's kind of creamsicle (remember those?) with white trim. :)

After that I did WalMart (insanity on a Saturday afternoon), while Scoote took Rooster to GameStop (gift card burning hole in pocket)...then late lunch at Cracker Barrel....then off to BJ's. The house is now stocked to the rafters again.

Other than that, just small stuff....shocked the pool, listed the shed on freecycle (yay...thank you sweetie :stillheart: ) and flaked out early.

Washed dishes.
Shopped for groceries.

Made mac and cheese and homemade garlic mashed potatoes to go with various meats and veggies this week.
Browned chorizo for quick breakfasts.
Made my weekly loaf of bread.

Battened down the hatches for all outside critters... enclosing or tarping their kennels, making "wind breaks" and putting down extra cedar shavings...

prepped car so it's easier to shovel out after storm....
laundry...
made a HUGE batch of made-from-scratch beef veggie stew and canned a few jars... (that took several hours for all the prep work!)
helped Roomie clean kitchen (he did most the dishes!)
Annoyed Roomie! ;)

I got ready for the winter storm which is now here. 4 inches and still snow is falling. 1/2 of ice/sleet expected to begin after midnight. 1/2 of ice can take out power lines so we could be in for a big headache. The interstates in and around Atlanta are parking lots as I type. I am not planning on going anywere except to sprinkle icemelt on the sidewalk. I have not seen this much snow here since 1993!

I wanted to turn in for the night..... but my brain is still on overload....this isn't much of an accomplishment....but darn it, I finally FIGURED it out! LOL

first I started with fixing TV remote with my pocket knife, nail file, a little baking soda & vinegar (just 'cuz of corroded batteries)

Then I spent a half hour trying to figure out how to get Blade's MONSTER BEAST of a TV to recognize the DVD machine WAS attached and playing! Grrrrrr!! it would have helped if the last owner had saved the User Manual.
As the World goes round, this is a very small accomplishment, especially since we may be loosing power later..... but darn it, I wanted to watch Avatar and have some "down time" after a long day.

I've learned there is little I can't fix without my pocket knife and nail file!! :cheesy: Ask Blade how I fixed the wiring harness on the new dryer and the CAT5 for the internet and phone. Those were fun days and fun accomplishments.... 'cuz things ACTUALLY WORKED when I got done! Those were "HELL YEAH" moments!

I woke up and cuddled with Ebon. After a brief talk, I went to the bank and then the gym. Then, I stopped at Randall's to get a coffee for Ebon and picked up pizzas for dinner. I came home and ate lunch and putzed around on the computer then Ebon and I put some transmission fluid in my car and now we're back inside. He's back at work and I'm here. Now that the dirty parts of the day are over, there's a hot shower calling my name.

Busy day for me today! Started with the visit from the nurse for health screenings and a blood test...yuck! Got a fair amount done for my job job as well...and then at home:

packed lunch for Rooster and took him to school (he got his own breakfast while I was with the nurse....awesome kid! :) )
called in prescription refill order
delivered forgotten spanish homework to school
checked school's online site for missing assignments (term ends soon...)
made lunch for me and Scoote
did health assessment online
updated some bank information (still finding odd things I didn't get handled when I moved, changed accounts, etc.)
prepared letters and a package
unloaded dishwasher and put away dishes
made dinner
reloaded dishwasher

And poor Scoote is still at work...crazy long days lately...so I'll make her a little supper when she finally makes it back.

Took a snow day!! After Blade woke me up BEFORE the sun came up!!
Since I can't get my car out of the drive way for the next SEVERAL days....I can't go to town to get chores done.

Took dogs out a couple times...
fussed at Roomie for not wearing gloves when he came back inside to thaw his hands out
took a VERY hot shower to thaw out sore joints
made omelet for Roomie and an egg sandwich for me...
Whooped Roomie's butt in virtual snowball fight!!
took a nap
warmed up VERY YUMMY dinner of left over "melt in your mouth chicken", whole wheat pasta and "Sweet's fresh veggie stir fry" all mixed together like a pasta salad..YUM!!!!
Helped Roomie make special, warm dinner for outside critters
and just got finished making and canning homemade tomato soup (it was nice to warm up the kitchen that way)
did dishes

I didn't get much done today, but it was a good day despite the cabin fever and Lupus aches. Tomorrow, I need to work on my room and possibly make some baked goods?

Got up way too early. Went to work, rassled (yes, rassled as my cousin used to say) for what I need emotionally via text/email. Lost. Walked away once and for all.

Endured the rest of the day. Came home. Drank too much and sent messages that are utterly beneath me. Wallowed, and hopefully went to bed a tad stronger and prouder (is to a word!) than I was before (the going to bed part is yet to come, hence the 'hopefully').

Fuck those who don't/won't/can't/ see and honor me enough to do me justice or bow out when they know they aren't going to honor me in the way that I deserve.

He said he loved me more than anyone. His actions proved otherwise.

Note to self... actions speak louder than words. Always.

Up and dressed at 6:45, then:

made breakfast (eggs and toast) for Rooster and me
packed lunches for Scoote & Rooster
took Rooster to school
back home....did lots for the paying job
ran to Old Navy...new jeans for Rooster (his were 4 months old and suddenly 3 inches too short), work shorts for Scoote
grocery store for produce since I won't make it to the farmers market and back to work in time
more job stuff
conference call
pick up Rooster from school
run him to GameStop...pick up game he's been waiting for
load and run the dishwasher
wash the new jeans, dry, hang up....old jeans to the donation box
clean kitty box

debate about where to relocate the wireless router so Rooster can have game system in his room instead of living room
decide I'm way too tired to deal with wires and cables and moving that stuff tonight

My Master is retiring as an acting Roshi. i did not know this. but since I am His Dharma Successor in the lineage of Gao-Tzu (and others), He also gave me His beautiful Buddha for my altar AND His robe! What honours! i bow humbly and gratefully to Him and to my other Masters for their dharma talks, their patience, and their kindness to me (aka "little weedhopper", lol)!

Yeah? Where did the day go? :seeingstars: :seeingstars:

After having an "extended" weekend and Roomie not going to work Monday and Tuesday...
Today at 6am, I woke to a dark, quiet house, tried to focus on the clock...listened for Roomie stirring around...No Roomie found, jumped up and ran into Roomie's room shouting "Your alarm didn't go off!! You're gonna be late!"
Roomie:   huh? what?
Me: You're alarm didn't go off!! You have to be at work at 7??
Roomie:   no, I don't go in till 10
Me:

So I leave feeling bad and curl back in my bed after heart attack averted...fluff my pillow, tuck back under my really warm blanket, say a little thank you prayer for my warm purple Eeyore PJs and proceed to cover my eyes with my Pink Panther bathrobe to block out any light...

I quickly accomplished a VERY deep sleep....lights out with Pink Panther blindfold! I have no idea what time it was, but I woke to my Roomie standing next to me, asking "How did you make that stuff?"
Me: with only one eye uncovered   huh what?
Roomie: How did you make that stuff?
Me: What stuff? Is that the same as thangs??
Roomie: That stuff you make me for breakfast?
Me: :seeingstars: I cover my eyes again and describe how to make his omelet with stuff in the middle

Off to work Roomie goes after breakfast....

After another REALLY DEEP sleep, with my bones aching, I get up, wrap up in my robe, take the dogs out one at a time on a leash to keep them contained in the Puppy Poop Area, FROZE my ass off waiting on Tashi because she refused to "go" while on a leash... go back inside to thaw out and feed all the critters....

Look at the clock, decided the ice had melted enough to get my car out....
Quickly get dressed
managed to get tarp off car while fighting high winds, without getting blown away like crazy-out-of-control-big-blue-kite
start car to warm up
gather and organize a BUNCH of stuff to mail off...
clean Willy's ears and medicate (poor guy has ANOTHER ear infection)
Oppps, nearly forgot the movies that are a day late...
load car...
fuss with Willy to get in his create "you can't go today buddy, you'd freeze in car"...
managed to get car out of drive way without getting stuck in the LAKE of a mud puddle, sliding on any ice or getting the car's belly stuck on any snow drifts...

after about 20 miles later and dodging other drivers who neglected to remove the HUGE sheets of ice from the top of their vehicles...

Dropped movies off at Blockbuster in the "big town" (no extra charges due to ice storm)
walked over to MailBoxes Etc looking for "little bubble bubblewrap", NONE FOUND...
walked over to grocery store, found bubblewrap (bought 4 bags) and a few other treats to mail
FROZE ass off (again) getting back to car at Blockbuster
drove over to a different grocery store to buy Mom's favorite Carolina Gold BBQ sauce for her care package

got on highway, drove several miles to nearby "small town"
stopped by favorite BBQ shack for several jars of special local Honey, a quick lunch sandwich, a few other unique treats and a VERY cute hand sewn handmade pocketbook/lunch bag I thought would really work nice for my new job (staying hopeful I would get official offer some time soon) it has BEAUTIFUL BLUE BUTTERFLIES painted on it!! :cheer: how could I pass it up?...
drive a few blocks to the Post Office....
spent nearly an hour organizing, sorting, wrapping and packing 4 care packages (there were LOTS of glass canning jars with yummy treats)

While packing the last box....with 30 minutes before the Post Office closed.... phone rings.... I GOT THE JOB!!!! :happyjump: lost the call due to no signal  ....
Roomie beeps in...hit ignore 'cause I was trying to call Employer back....
Roomie beeps in again....pick up, tell him I'll call him back...
2 seconds later, Employer beeps in... got as many details as possible between phone cutting out, CONFIRMED start date... :happyjump:

With 10 minutes to spare, manage to complete last box and ANNOY clerk as we processed postage....

Get to car.... sigh relief, thinking I am nearly home....

While sitting in car, get text from Roomie "please go to 'small town' and get me a BBQ sandwich, working late"
I respond: I'm in small town, want me to deliver it?
No answer

Drive back to same BBQ shop.... lady asks me "you're still hungry?"
Laugh,
Order Roomie's sandwich
Fight traffic to get back to big town
get to Roomie's work, spend several minutes looking for Security Guard to page Roomie....
meet Roomie at gate with warm dinner and iced sweet tea....
Roomie says "I just wanted you to bring it home"
:byebye: (I didn't know how late he'd be working, so I thought he wanted it at work?)

Start back home, get "dummy light" for gas.... (by this time, it was dark outside)
drive back to original grocery store to return unopened bubble wrap for 16$
stop for gas but run inside for cup of coffee....ALL of the cups were busted around the edges and lids wouldn't fit...try one anyway
freeze ass off AGAIN pumping gas
head home
dribble coffee down my chin from broken cup

20 miles later

get home to drive way and parking area FROZEN solid and slippery...
unload car
open door to dogs barking my head off!!
let dogs out, lock in kennel to do their "business" quickly
manage to prepare warm dinner for all outside critters
nearly bust my frozen ass serving dinner and fresh water
snuggle little Trippie (outside dog) as I check his little sweater, put Hombre back into his sweater, sat there FREEZING as I made sure they ate their warm dinner
slowly get back to house, stomping ice under feet just to stay upright the whole way
collect dogs from kennel
settle into house....
thaw my hands out

Text convo with several friends and family about NEW JOB!!!

start making my dinner of homemade 'mater soup and 'tater bread grilled cheese sandwiches
Roomie arrives home... with his BBQ sandwich and tea in hand

Feed inside dogs
sit to COMPLETELY ENJOY my dinner
logged online to receive Employee Confirmation and Required Health Check Information
Cuss to self that they require my Immunization Records.... know they are LONG LOST and my childhood family doctor has been LONG deceased...
Jump to other site to order special Kona Coffee.... can't order yet until a particular KNUCKLEHEAD responds about favorite flavor :sunglass:

log on here to make note of a HUGE DAY FILLED WITH ACCOMPLISHMENTS and very happy, proud, exciting moments!!!
sit here thinking my knee really hurts from CRACKING it on table corner this morning....thinking I'm surprised I didn't break it....

Let's see.....yesterday is kind of a blur at the moment....but I know that I got one kid off to school, packed lunches, did a ton of work for my job, cleaned cat box, made dinner, helped with the printing out of articles and pictures for Rooster's history fair project, fought with an uncooperative computer....

...and the best part was getting some guys to show up and look at the shed. I listed it on freecycle, and they say they'll be hauling it out of there today or Friday. :cheer:

Once that's gone, I'll feel like I can start doing up the back yard...staining the short fence that goes around 2 sides of the pool so it matches the privacy fence, pouring some decorative concrete (with seashells pressed in) to extend our patio, doing some landscaping.....yay!

I tried to go back to sleep when I woke up this morning at nine, but that didn't work. So, after laying there for a couple of hours, I rolled out of bed, unloaded the dishwasher, and got ready for the gym. I had my banana and rfpb and spent about 2 hours at the gym, give or take. I came home and fixed lunch for myself. Ebon was already working then and had eaten something already. After lunch, I showered and washed my hair and played on here for a bit.

Then, I got some laundry ready to go and walked it down to the laundry room. Back in the apartment, I started preparing my dinner. Turkey meatloaf! Jenni-o 7% fat lean ground turkey, onion, mushroom, jalopeno and bbq sauce all mashed up together and baked until super yummy! I usually put bell peppers in it but we're out and the store was out, so I left it out.

I pulled the laundry out to hang the undryables and moved the rest over, got back on here for a bit, looked for something for work tomorrow, went back down for the rest of the dried laundry and came back and put it away. I know there's a couple of other things but I just can't remember them now.

I got up, ate, got ready for work, commuted in the rain, worked for nine hours about half of which was spent in the rain, made a bank run for the office, commuted again (still raining but in the dark this time and on poorly lit roadways), got home, checked the mail, ate dinner, chatted with my honey, played on here and now we're watching a semi-horrible movie with Meg Ryan and Tim Hutton. Tim's duct taped to the toilet with his pants down (by Meg) and Meg is tied and dumped on the bathroom floor (by the yard guy who invited his friends over and is robbing them as they lay duct taped in the upstairs bathroom). It's complicated.

The weekend was a mix of errands and relaxing...so that was a nice change. :cheesy:

Saturday we bailed on the kids, went out to breakfast and to the beach for a walk and shell-hunting. No outstanding finds, but we've started to pick up the shells we usually leave behind that are cool, but broken (yes...we're shell snobs :giggle: ). The broken ones are for our patio project...to press into the concrete and set the vibe for our beach theme.

Yesterday we did a little shopping at Lowe's to work a few little projects forward...weatherstripping, etc., and I found the blinds I want to get for Rooster's room but have to measure a bit differently and then go back and order.

I also accomplished signing up for unlimited NetFlix movies through the Rooster's PS3....a month free trial, then 7.99 a month for all we care to watch. I envision lots of evenings curled up on the couch with popcorn. :)

Fed the outside dogs and put down new cedar shavings for them in their favorite sunny spot.
Walked and played with the inside dogs.
Made coffee in my new coffeemaker. (without making a mess)
Worked online doing some research.
Did laundry.
Currently working on re-organizing and re-arranging my room to make it easier to get ready for work and not stumble over furniture.
Making a small good-will donation bag. (I've purged so many "unnecessary" belongings over the past year, that I don't have much else to get rid of... but today's efforts are focused on clothes...those I haven't worn in a long time or never worn.)
Talked to Mom and my Aunt M about my childhood immunization records. (Mom can't remember which State we were in when I got my immunizations )
Organized some small gifts to send to my nieces soon.

Later... I plan on cleaning the bathroom, vacuuming my room and ironing some work clothes.
If I have time, make a trip to town for a large picture frame to hang a nice picture of my nieces above the desk in my room?

On very little sleep (my own fault, this time), I went to work early and rented a couple of units and the truck a couple of times. I caught my manager up to date on all the havoc I've been causing the past three days on my own. I prowled the grounds and scooped some poop (I know, I know...my life is so glamourous!) and got out of work just before 2pm. I stopped off at a lovely place and viewed some places to rent and drooled all over myself. Fabulous! I wish we could get them, but it looks like it won't work. I made it home and made a snack for Ebon and myself and changed out of my work clothes and caught him up to date with what I learned about the apartments I saw. We both did some calculations and made some calls and it STILL looks like we make too much. I signed in here and toodled around a bit then started dinner. I'm now back here after washing up some of the dishes and putting the rest in the dishwasher and rinsing the recycling out. Oh! I got a text from my manager saying the interim manager tweaked my schedule and, if I work longer tomorrow, I can have three days off this week (!!!) IN A ROW!!!!!! OMG, OMG, OMG!!!! I said, "That would be nice." of course.

I started my research paper on financial versus non-financial incentives and how it affects organizational behavior.

I tackled a project I've been avoiding at work and it wasn't that bad.

Survived a 2 1/2 hour long meeting (by working on my paper).

Made a yummy dinner and starting packing for my work trip!

At least I'll be able to get a ton of writing done from my hotel this week. ;)

Today was mostly about the paying job...my co-worker has resigned (sob), so all of his half-completed projects become mine. I'll have some catching up to do. :)

Let's see...in addition to work...

did the tea, coffee, breakfast thing with Rooster
packed a lunch for Scoote
delivered forgotten laptop to her work, picked up soda and paperwork, delivered it to other store, picked up onions, returned them to Scoote
made dinner (sloppy joe's and homemade french fries...healthy huh?)
cleaned catbox
soon to empty and reload the dishwasher

ate the yummy dinner my sweetie cooked
loaded and ran dishwasher again...we make lots of dirty dishes around here
washed down stove, counters, scrubbed sinks
folded and put away 2 loads of laundry...more on the way

I am so tired I barely remember... but the bigger things were:

-early morning networking meeting
-client appointment (rolled over three old 401 K's she needed to consolidate and presented various financial statements for them)
-office (paperwork ,submitted business, calls to clients, calls to service center on behalf of clients, etc etc etc)
-phone appointment with development department at an organization I just got a grant for
-booked 2 appointments
-another client appointment to help fill out more paperwork on an additional rollover
-shopping for dinner

currently cooking dinner and trying to chill a bit before I eat...

Not much at ALL, and it feels AWESOME!

I did make breakfast and dinner and we made the bed after sleeping late and watched Cougar Town and Ebon went to work early and I didn't go to work and I rinsed some dishes and got the trash ready for Ebon to take out and he did and I watched American Idol from last night and we both played on here today and we're going to work out when Ebon gets off of work. After that, we'll snack on something (hopefully nutritious) and watch the remainder of the movie we started while Ebon was on break from work.

I created a very long run on sentence today.

mailed off all the wedding pics/video/decorations to my mom, mailed her 70th birthday presents, mailed some posters from the Rijks museum to her to keep for when we get back, cleaned the room, discussed house meeting items with two other housies (we have seven people in house all together), bought a present for inks (ring making kit! we are going to make each other rings next rainy day off) at gift shop and sorted the laundry. so not a hell of a lot, really.

oh! and FINALLY uploaded some wedding photos to site. Am now going to sort out the rest and upload to face book - god that will take forever.... I have four hundred!!!

Got some things ready for work tomorrow

worked on my taxes (YUCK!!! for the first year ever, I will have to pay in)

got sick of smelling "stinky wet dog" because Willy's long hair takes forever to dry and soaks up all the mud and muck....so my Mudd Puppy just got his hair trimmed VERY short. (this is a MAJOR chore!!) You can see his face now!!! I swear he looked like a 12 inch high Sheep Dog!! Next is to give him a bath, after my back feels like it.

Have more work to do, but just am not motivated. (w)

This morning before the sun came up, I made special decaf coffee for my roomie in one coffee maker.... and high test Kona in my new coffee maker. Only problem is.... my roomie didn't SEE the WHITE coffee maker filled with his coffee.... and I caught him just in time before he loaded HIGH TEST in his thermos! (Should I have said anything? I wonder what stories I would have heard, after I got home, of how his heart fluttered faster than a race horse on race day!!?)

After a VERY eventful and refreshing day at work....I accomplished an arrangement with the boss that, once fully trained, I will be "taking over the County office"...and not working as "Low Coordinator on the Totem Pole" as originally thought. (I had thought I'd be one of 3 Coordinators in a satellite County office.)

I met a lot of people....don't ask me their names....

Set up my new work Lap Top with a bunch of different software and accesses....

and I walked what feels like 100 miles today.... all on the same floor of one office building. I should have worn my pedometer!!

I accomplished exhausting myself after not getting much rest last night and driving in NASTY traffic.

I woke up at 4:30 am to my water alarm. I discovered a pinhole in the cold water line above my water heater. I had to dig 12 inches of dirt out of the water meter well to reach the shutoff valve. Now i have a rash on my forehead from laying in the alley full of dry grass and weeds while digging. When HD opened, I bought the supplies and replace the damaged copper flex pipe. And, I installed a shutoff valve.

Also did the usual lunch and breakfast preparing, kept a sick kiddo home from school, cleaned cat box, did a couple loads of laundry, went to a doctor appointment (where I got scolded for chickening out on a blood test and ordered to go get it within the month....it doesn't help that my doctor is pretty butch and, when Scoote's not in the office, gets a bit of the Daddi thing going...not in a sexual way...just in the way that now I really do have to go get my blood test).

Worked-swept out spaces, rented a space, did my grounds checks, checked the mail, processed the mail, took payments in, logged the truck back in and prepped it to go out again in the morning, rented the truck out, vacated a customer, did some filing, chatted with a manager at another store who is back at work after being sick for a couple of days, had lunch, avoided the phone and people knocking on my door while I ate lunch, transfered a customer to a larger space, more paperwork, sent some emails, talked to the company that fixed our cameras about some issues and sent off an email to my area manager about it, played on the golf cart some (as in just for fun, not because I need to get to the back of the property), called a guy about a potential apartment for Ebon and I, called some customers and prospects, talked with a couple of others in the company about an upcoming meeting, printed out some forms, cleaned out my inbox, tidied up the office, took the cart for the last property check of the day, locked up the cart and plugged it in to charge, one last quick looksee to make sure the office looked fine, locked the doors, counted my monies, did my end of the day processing, got my things together, locked up (with me on the outside this time) and commuted home.

While on the commute home, I called a number on a sign at an intersection to find out about a house. Venta in Spanish means sale, not rent, as I'd hoped.

Got home, checked the mail, grabbed some of the dinner Ebon made, listened to a little youtube and am here now and thinking about grabbing something for dessert. In a minute, I'll go back into the kitchen and clean it up and determine if I'm serious about dessert or not.

Somewhere around 11pm, I'll go to bed. I may or may not indulge in some hulu before then.

Today wasn't a work day for me...so it was up at 8:30, make Rooster some tea and peanut butter toast for both of us...jumped in the shower, dressed, took him to Odyssey of the Mind workshop...talked to my mother while he was in workshop and read a book for a bit.

Once he was done, took him home, heated up some leftovers for lunch, ran off about 100 flyers (we're going to leaflet the whole neighborhood), drove down to the Humane Society to have a look for Banshee (no luck), stopped at the grocery store on the way home. Boys hauled bags out of the trunk while I put groceries away.

Relaxed for a little bit....then back up to make dinner, load and run the dishwasher, clean the kitty box, give Scoote a smooch as she and the Prince headed out to a movie.

Phone rings...neighbor thinks they have Banshee cornered. We jump in cars, race down there....false alarm...drove back home, then kicked back on the couch to watch Primeval with the Rooster.

In a little bit it'll be time to kiss my kiddo, brush the dogs teeth (seriously) and get myself headed for bed. :)

After 2.5 years in TX I finally unpacked the last box WHOOO HOOOO! :cheer:

I am in the process of doing a deep cleaning and rearranging of my room
I took everything out of my room and my closet; cleaned the floors, window sills, ceiling fan, baseboards; threw away a bunch of crap (did I really need to carry some of that stuff 2000 miles) and put everything back all organized and clean.
I also washed my comforter pillows and sheets and hung them on the line to dry, I made enchiladas, sangria and elote,

Phase 3 (the final phase)" Sort through my clothes and get rid of stuff I don't wear as well as do laundry, this I am saving for tomorrow morning. Once all that is done then Sunday afternoon and evening are mine to loaf in.

And we hung some pictures on the wall, and put up a chain lock so I can lock my newfie on my enclosed heated front porch/bath area. Now she cant get to my carpeted area to pee on it when I am gone. A stroke of genius! I made a roasted chicken to return the favor!

Yesterday was completely nuts...

breakfast for Rooster and me
packed lunch for Rooster
took him to school
made bed
3 conference calls and a 1 to 1 with my boss
major head-beating against desk over the mess I've inherited from an ex-co-worker (who, yes, I still like)
lunch...still following the eating plan
mentoring call....got good advice...which also means a ton of work
picked Rooster up
cleaned cat box
Scoote made dinner....yay!....but I did have to chew for myself :)
sat down to do taxes
4 hours later (in Sponge Bob narrator voice)...finished taxes and e-filed
growled at myself for the 2 lunch-size bags of chips I ate while fighting with taxes
stumbled into bed where Scoote was already half asleep
tossed and turned for about an hour, trying to unwind enough to sleep

Broke two toes because I am a klutz and stubbed my toes right after I got out of bed (ouch!)

Led a meeting for like 15 minutes until boss got there.

Wasn't a very effective leader as all we did was chat until she got there.

Talked on the phone for several hours as I don't want to give the kids I see the germs back to them that they gave to me in the first place.

Did a ton of paperwork.

Sent numerous emails.

Tried not to breathe on anyone.

Sanitized my work phone and my desk.

Tried not to touch door handles so other people don't get my germs.

Had my daily sassy commentary with the medical records staff.

Came home and ate soup.

I finally made my first batch of dog treats. I almost burnt them. I seriously need better cookie sheets. I have the dark sheets and they cause everything I bake on them to heat too quickly. I can never guage the right time and/or the right temp first time for a new recipe. So..next time I need to shave off 3 minutes. She likes them any way but I am a perfectionist. They are a bit harder than I thought they would be. She is 14...I need something with a softer texture. I am going to try the recipe with applesauce next, hoping it might be softer.
