*Deep Breath...
Went to work, opened every light in the building, checked the freezers, changed the weekly temperature grafts, turned on the televisions in each office, unlocked the all the doors and turned on the computers, made sure all Xerox printers were filled with paper, checked to make sure every machine in Endo was ready to go, pulled out all the scopes and turned on suction, went to in patient and checked to make sure they had everything they needed ordered until Wednesdays order, walked to PACU and did the same, turned on all the monitors, checked Ambi bags, got BP Cuffs ready and on, checked re fridge to make sure temps were good and didn't have a power failure over the weekend, walked to pre-Opt and turned on lights in each bay and monitors, checked Anesthesia cart and refilled missing items, walked into Decontamination and turned on sterilizer, washer, dry washer, beaded pumps etc, turned on anesthesiology machines, wiped down each room and bed, moved equipment to perspective rooms and walked down hall to check oxygen/nitrogen/notorious oxide room, then grabbed me a coffee. Welcome to Mondays, then had to create P.O.s and call them in.... Yes all in one breath... And I still thought that I missed something, and I probably did... :seeingstars:

Came home and slept for hours.. I have been drained energy-wise lately.. I have not tested my sugar level in a week and a half (about the time Phoebe went missing and I was stressing out).. Bard may hurt me for this :|

Cleared off dining table, put leftovers away, washed down counters. Will try and sweep/mop tomorrow

Put the smoke alarm/CO alarms back up in hallway. I painted it a 'blue lagoon' color a few days ago. Also put up a print of a big tidal wave on a yellow background - it looks nice IMO

Finally got the black beaded curtain from Amazon for the kiddo - Put that up for her, and she thinks it is amazing *+1 point for me!*

Also put up a baby gate because the dogs like to go in her room, and there is a limit to how many times we should have to shampoo that rug >.>

Will tackle basket of laundry in the next day or two to get it put away in my dresser, and put up the second set of blinds in the bedroom. One day I will put up the remaining two in the living room so they are all the same color

breakfast on deck with Tibetan spaniel
putting together my loom with mitigated success (why is it that the screws are so hard to drive in, and four of them are too long?)
visit to Goodwill, netting me a three quart size leather jacket from Banana Republic for $29.99 which fits me like a dream, and the leather is divine! Gotta love that!
met a French friend at the Japanese bookstore tea salon at Bryant Square to show her how to spin and give her some supplies, and as we were talking, the butch next to us started speaking French to us...turns out she is a tailor (her word), and when I asked her card, her name is Paul! He/She was talking to a client about making some manga outfit for an event, sketching as he/she talked!

What I accomplished today... (at work)

Me and my weekend sidekick work well together as a team and with the kids. We have been working on making Sundays a day of productivity so that the kids aren't just piled up on the furniture sleeping or watching movies all morning/day long. We have been working on a reward system (bribery in other words)... and what better way than food. LOL they are teens, however!

So anyway, during the week when we say productive time, there is no reward. It's just expected of them... but up until now, they were allowed to do whatever they wanted pretty much on the weekends. Within reason of course. Last week we started with cleaning the day room (sweeping, mopping, dusting). We had three takers and their reaward was a homemade apple pie that my sidekick fixed. Shall we say... the bragging from those three kids was great!!

So this week the productivity was to either fill out a job application online and show us or go out and pick one up and return it to us filled out in order to receive homemade banana-nut bread. Needless to say, we had seven takers!!

Now my sidekick and I both agree that we adults/staff should lead by example. We try to be just as productive in some way too. We certainly can't tell them to do something without being good role models right? So we took the corner where staff sits at two desks and tore it apart, cleaned, organized and rearranged... on top of our normal desk work and weekend chores of cooking, cleaning and laundering the bedding for all these kids.

Ha ha.... when we finished, and the kids were fed and rewarded we made a plate for the executive director and her secretary (who were working on grants on a Sunday) and ran it up to them. To top it off, ED's husband who is the director came down to pay a surprise visit and was thrilled with the progress of how my sidekick and I work together and are working this new insentive program for/with the kids. That is rewarding to us...

Next week who knows what the reward or the task will be but it's bound to be worth it all to see those kids movin' and groovin' with purpose! :cheesy:

Edited poems on my laptop, all the way in to work on the train
Edited four articles for a journal at work; recycled them down from 700 or 1200 words or whatever to a mere 400, 150, even 75, which is really just a blurb. Every time I do that I'm reminded how much bullshit there is in the world, that could go away and no one would miss it.
Talked to my friend, a dean, for about half an hour. We both obsess over the Container Store and home interiors. Plus he wanted me to get a reporter off his back.
Got some quotes from the director of another program, to make the reporter happy.
Made everyone happy; the dean, the director, the reporter. Basked in my small glory for a few minutes till our office assistant left for lunch and snapped at me to watch the phones, knocking me off my high horse.
Wrote bios for two poets I'm introducing at a reading in a couple weeks.
Haggled with the moving company over the price for my move.
Called the utility companies, got things lined up for my new apartment.
Went to Bed, Bath and Be-Bad on my lunch and bought a shower curtain and towels!!! Used a gift certificate that an sassy little angel bestowed on me last week.
Talked to my sister. Our dad is not well. I'll see him this weekend at my nephew's wedding. She wanted to give me the head's up.
Slept all the way home on the train.
Ate a dinner I didn't cook, then did the dinner dishes.
I could really use a silly distraction right now. I love stupid movies, like Talladega Nights or cable series like Angry Boys. I could use a stupid movie, a mojito, and some love. Or just the movie.

Raked the back yard (and got a blister on my thumb)
Watched a windstorm blow through and cover my yard again with leaves.
Walked the dog.
Did some touch up work on the wood floor I put down in my bedroom last week and started moving furniture back in there.
Because I was able to move said furniture out of the library where I'd been storing it, I did some work on organizing the library.
(moved into this house in February and have been renovating it since last November, still lots to do)
Dug winter coats out and started washing them up
Cleaned out the garage a little bit
Met friends for ice cream
Used gift certificates I had for a local independent bookstore and gourmet kitchen supply store and came home with treats.
Made dinner.

Not all today, but in the last few days I have...

replaced the inner workings of a toilet....which didn't go as easily as usual and resulted in an hour-long wrestling match with a wrench
mowed the back yard
cleaned the gutters....many, many trips up and down a ladder and little cuts on my hands from the metal edges
mowed the front yard....including fighting with a clogged and stalling mower

...and of course all the usual, work, getting Rooster to school, taking care of animals, taking care of the house, making meals, shopping....

I am freaking exhausted....my wrists are throbbing from carpal tunnel...and I can't decide if I need an advil, a nap or a massage. :seeingstars:

...maybe all of the above.

I went to the Chiropractor,
Sent out 4 resumes to jobs in the city I want to move to,
Sent out two resumes to jobs here (don't ask me why),
updated my info on the NaNoWriMo site,
Made 2 new resumes to use for different types of jobs,
Did updates on my two FB pages,
Skyped with both of my granddaughters,
Did laundry,
Made some decisions,
and played with the dogs.

I would say a very productive day so far.

- Completed a 9-hour shift without wanting to kill someone at the end of it

- Put a cashier in her place after she, playfully, swore at me.. I have decided, as her supervisor, that just will not fly anymore. Customers have free reign, I will not have my cashier tell me to "get the fuck on it" after I have moved lunches and swapped people to not only give her a 6 o'clock lunch but to get her moved to the front end from the lumber area. I work with everyone - if schedules allow it, I will move them where they prefer - but some really seem to have the mindset that they are owned it. It's my shift, STFU or GTFO.

- Bought Christmas cards. Yes, I am getting on that hella earlier. With work, school and home projects, I feel like I have zero free time anymore. I really hate being a grown up sometimes.

- Posted to my English class, both a response to a discussion and a response to a classmate. Still got more to do.. and another essay to start cracking on. Good goddess I HATE essays. WTF was I thinking? I may just not enroll next semester solely to have a freaking BREAK. It sounds like a good idea to me.. Really thinking in hindsight I should have taken a break this semester like I planned.. Or taken a class or two.. not three.

I worked on items related to my worksearch today from home:

- entered in line item data on a matrix form
- made several phone calls to potential employers
- talked with my brother for a bit this afternoon
- scheduled a dental visit to get some dental work done
- cleaned the kitchen and bathroom today, too
- washed all the windows in the house
- and visited with friends here in our online community!

Well,,,,

Today is not over with, but I have made progress:

-- Got up early and went grocery shopping.

-- I made an important decision today.

-- I feel good about having done exactly that (see above).

-- I was going to go to town this afternoon but since I have to be in several places tomorrow (interviews), I will hold off until tomorrow.

-- Up next: Trim my hair just a tiny bit and take a very long bath (wanna be looking my best for interviews, tomorrow). :)

I finally got 'into' homework around 9:15. By 10, I finished a chapter in one accounting class. Started a chapter in math class, and 2 hours later, I've read the chapter, taken notes, and done 80 of the approximately 150 exercises.

I declared it bedtime. I've been up since 5, with only 5 hours sleep.

Nowhere near the amount I needed to do, but a decent chunk for the time frame.

I've been up since the crack of dawn...
after a short little nap I took last night.

I worked on a new novel and crunched out a matrix of events, characters, locations, developed the story and came up with about 6799 words. I credit former perilous graduate assignment deadlines for helping me accomplish that task on such short notice. It may a couple of days before I get to it again.

However,

I took my voters ballot downtown today;
stopped to visit my friends at my former job (Larry, Mary and Bonnie);
went on assignment to make a few field note entries;
came home to work on housework (played Ms. Santa again in the washeteria, picked up the mail out by the curb, stuff like that);and I've spent time reading the forum boards here.

I'm currently waiting on the roast and vegetables in the oven,
so my son and I can have supper and then I plan to fall into bed
and sail to dreamland.

Was late getting up this morning and crawled out of bed at 4:30am.
First I scooped litter boxes and then I got in the shower.
After shower, I turned on computer, took meds and got dressed.
My rescues looked at me with pitiful eyes and wanted me to feed them, so I did even though there was still food in their bowls.
Finally a little free time to actually sit down in front of my computer...yay!
Toasted a waffle and grabbed a banana and back to my computer.
Rut ro, time to leave for work, but must grab a cup of food for the couple trailer park cats that now meet me at the porch every morning.
Work is done and I'm home, so I make coffee and a couple slices of 7 grain toast to go with that coffee.
Time to scoop the litter boxes again...wishing they were all toilet trained right about now.
Vacuumed the living room for the rescues because I never use it, but they lounge all over it.
Opened the window in my bedroom and left the front door open because the breeze coming in feels good.
Finally computer time again...yay!
Not sure what the afternoon will bring, but for now, I'll relax from work and decide later.

Finally caved and bought a dual elliptical + bike, should have by Friday, ideally.. free shipping and delivery!
Came home and had leftover pasta and sauce for dinner
Completed my history test [90% and barely studied]
Completed all my hw for Wellness with an exception of weekly exercise log
Working on my English paper now

Homework for last two weeks: submitting draft of Eng paper and then final submit, final exercise log for Fitness and then the final exam, one more History discussion + map assignment + essay + test.

Then I am home free for a month! Plan to get the third bedroom aka our walk-in closet all organized, and re-organize the bedroom furniture, and paint said master bedroom and a foyer and a bathroom

Leveled a character in WoW
Did first coat of paint on bathroom ceiling [ran out of paint, actually]
Did second coat of paint on door trim and door
Spray painted mirror frame [brushed nickel, and kinda sparkly]
Took the doors off the cabinet since they do not close correctly
Thought about starting second coat on walls but decided to wait until ceiling is finished
Painted frame of cabinet white to blend it in with the wall
Painted four baseboards white to 1) cover the ugly beige and 2) hide where the yellow paint from the dining room walls dripped on them [6 months ago]
Swept and vacuumed the kitchen, bathroom and dining room
Vacuumed the living room after planning to for a *week*
Unloaded the dishwasher
Loaded the dishwasher
Washed the pots by hand that could not fit into dishwasher
Baked lemon squares
Baked brownies
Washed dishes and utensils I baked with
Enjoyed a lemon square!
Finally e-mailed my sister the 102 pictures from her Niagra Falls trip [found usb]
Uploading wedding and reception videos to YouTube [that were also on said found usb drive]

Thought about trying to put the elliptical together but I think that will wait a few days. May mop floors before I even think about bed.. and pack overnight bag for tomorrow. And maybe take trash out.

ETA: Everything after playing WoW only happened within the last 5 hours!

The first beautiful thing i accomplished, was sleep in! (til 915!) - that rarely happens, i'm an early bird. So felt good to have a morning with a bit of a sleep in.. (Daddy said i couldn't get up earlier than 8!)

- had breakfast
- did up the dishes
- dusted, sweeped floors
- 3 loads of laundry
- got an OA meeting in ♥
- went for my walk, despite how cold it was!
- went to the grocery store (SO many people! lol)
- realized i forgot my debit card home - walked home.
- got the debit card, & again off to the grocery store, lol. (the people situation doubled, i'm sure)
- picked up the odds & ends i needed, then back home
- folded laundry, IRONED *i love to iron!*, & put it away
(yes, ironing really is one of my fave things to do, lol!)
- deep cleaned the kitchen & the bathroom
- swept & washed the stairs, kitchen & bathroom floor
( i don't mop, i wash on my hands & knees, so few rooms at a time lol)
- had a late lunch, & now catching up online with Daddy's permission while waiting for Him to get finished plowing...

We have plans later tonight, & tomorrow...
Love, hugs & happiness to you ALL. ♥

I woke up reasonably well, showered, got ready for the day, made the bed/fixed the couch, heated up some leftovers for breakfast and poured coffee before I went to work. When I arrived I cleaned the shop and my tools, did a bunch of paperwork, scheduled next weeks appointments for myself, had lunch, completed the 3 hair appointments I had for today then thought about my own hair . That led to a friend or two popping into my mind & eventually more ideas about my own shop. Next was more paperwork and inventory before work was finished.

I made a quick trip to the grocery store to pick up fresh pasta sheets, checked the air in my tires and shovelled the entrance to the driveway.

I got in, showered quickly, changed, threw in laundry and got started on prepping my big meal. I sent a few txts and msgs, checked the forums and went back to cooking.

After all of the food was ready to be cooked I changed the laundry, put in a load of towels and came back to check on the food and get my dessert ready. I sat down for a few minutes to relax but then it was time to fold clothes and put them away.

I ate supper - which I enjoyed, at least, cleared the table, did the dishes, finished the load of towels, threw in the bed clothes, washed the counter, looked over next weeks shipment and here I am again to browse the forums.

most of the laundry is done and put away...

then I went out, having scraped up every penny I could and bought two vouchers to spay and neuter my two dogs. The newf would cost me $300 easily to neuter at a reg vet. Our local animal shelter is doing a special for $25! So both got vouchers! And I got their licenses too. Now, I need to get their yearly shots..

then, bought a lil bit of groceries. Its a lean month. January sucks. But I got the basics!

Off to my shop I went...my huge POS $4000 computerized cash register/computer and consignment store software was delivered to the shop next door (I wasnt opened so they took it over there) and I had to bring it to my shop.

Then....I picked out two outfits and dressed up some body forms, because tomorrow I am taping a tv show! Yes, one of our special community shows is featuring me and the store this Sunday! So, had to get ready for that!

Now home and I found out the house I had bid on, but the offer wasnt accepted, wants to know if I would buy the house now. They really want to sell. it. Oh my god. Can someone please tell me what to do? I could end up with a HUGE lovely old home with all natural woodwork and yet updated essentials...for $15,000! WHAT TO DO????

on Monday I was able to fix the lawn mower..which put a smile on my face after I mowed the lawn. Then today I finally got the generator working. This makes me very happy, since the windy season is coming and power outages are never good for this household.

Today I...

Washed 2 loads of blankets and hung them out...

Washed 1 load of whites and hung them inside...sorta...

Washed the counter tops in the kitchen

Cleaned the stove top, front and sides

Cleaned the fronts of the cabinet bottoms..the uppers get maintained daily

Vacuumed the kitchen, living room and bathroom

Cleaned the bathroom super duper good...

Mopped the bathroom floor with straight bleach

Went through bills and papers galore

Tidied the living room

Grumbled at how dusty the house has gotten already since the last time I dusted

Fed all the animals

Remembered my eye drops x2 soon to be 3x

Fluffed the hung out laundry in the dryer and folded and sorted other laundry

Got rid of some things that are not ours and are not coming to the new house

Arrived at the realization that stupid truly IS as stupid does (while at Mcds)

Got to work only 6 minutes late after dealing with said stupidity at McDs...

Alright so it was kind of overcast, but none the less I went to the farmers market, got my first semi introduction into my travelling barber project, walked for two hours in freezing temps, got my supper made and had a wonderful time in the company of friends!

yesterday I cleaned up the flower bed and fixed the stones around it...today I put a layer of mulch down ..but I know I need to keep up the cleaning as the leaves are still tumbling around from other yards. might need a few more bags of mulch to be on the safe side..but it's getting there

Charged my mp3 player and added music to it (it was MIA for 2 months)

Took out trash and cardboard

Assembled new vacuum and went four times around living room before I realized it was on high pile carpet.. If I thought it picked up a lot of hair prior, low pile carpet REALLY makes it look all nice and cozy. I have realized I need to vac way more.. dogs are shedding a ton more than I thought!

Organized bookcase more and put outlet covers on outlets in living room that had been overlooked (behind the couch). Need to re-seal the plastic over the window though, it has become loose on the bottom and hella cold drafts are finding their way in.

Swept and vac'd foyer hallway

Vac'd the stairs since the hand vac finally charged all up. It is not *perfect*.. sure there is dog hair too!.. but no loose debris can be seen.

Febreeze'd the couch and pillows and carpets and curtains.. Dogs think I'm nuts!

Fed said dogs and let them pull me around in the backyard

Put baskets of clean clothes upstairs to be sorted tomorrow, and put clothes in baskets downstairs to go into basement to be washed (as opposed to them all over the floor)

Will haul out residual cardboard, try to find energy for litterbox, and then unload and load the dishwasher and hop in the shower before I run it.

Why yes, it is 3:20 a.m. :| That's what I get for starting to clean at 1 a.m.! Was going to try and do some of the Wii Fit tonight but I think all this cleaning takes the cake!

ETA: I would like to mop tomorrow and tidy up the kiddo's room (i.e. find a smaller, more convenient box to put her small clothes in).

I slept in until almost 9:30am

I am currently making sugar cookies
(the snicker-doodle kind) and after they
cool off, I plan to decorate them with
frosting by cute little polka-dots on each
animal cookie I am baking.

Pretty soon though, my son will be home
and I have yet to think about what to make for supper.

Even though it has been chilly and foggy (at times),
I was thinking of making Jasmine rice with steamed broccoli
buds, slivered almonds and topping it with Sweet Chili sauce.

What I really want tonight is barbequed salmon steaks,
but the price of salmon has been fairly high priced:
I guess I could make smoked salmon patties
(I do have a jar of canned salmon from Alaska).

I also plan to go to a local community college and sit in the hot-tub
and then bake in the dry sauna, after swimming a few laps in the pool.

We have been fighting with the pump on our new pool for 2 weeks now... wondering why the damn pressure is so low. After calling the pool guy and getting some outrageous service fee quote, I tackled it myself. Thanks to some words of encouragement and a youtube video... I decided to fix it my damn self :) The impeller was clogged! With a tennis ball to block the water flow in the skimmer & a flat head screwdriver and a few curse words I got it fixed!

The pump is quiet and fountain is spraying water like a waterfall. Now, if the weather would just warm up so we could swim!!

I got myself out of bed after losing an hour of sleep AND I felt energized and happy

I put on a pot of tea, showered, made breakfast, folded clothes, did the dishes, swept and vacuumed, straightened up my living area, sorted through more boxes, took a break and now I am back to organizing stuff and my thoughts.

Lunch will be next as I find something to put on for background noise.

I got a few hours of sleep :hangloose:

I woke up feeling relatively human and alert so I showered, made tea, got dressed, ate breakfast, cleaned up, did my paper route along with the flyers for the LAST week and headed to catch the bus.

Only I forgot my wallet. I ran back and forth to make the bus again, went into work, took a couple of clients and then went on break. My boss and I both forgot our keys so we were locked out for a few moments. At least it was sunny?

I did a couple of creative cuts, started to feel sick, headed out the door before I remembered I was wearing a hat today, ran to the bus stop, got in and changed into my pajamas where I will sit and decide what my day is going to include.

I hope I don't accomplish locking myself out again or forgetting something else. I know I will need to cook and wash the towels.
