Wish me luck on acquiring snow melt. I used all but a little bit on last weeks storm and everyone has been sold out since. Not the end of the world if I don't find any, but I like to keep the front walk clear so no one can sue me. The downside of not being a renter.

The next snowfall is set for NOW. I see the first flakes drifting in... :anothersnowman:

I couldn't handle the pressure and caved! I bought a 3 pack of 240 grit sanding belts.

I also ordered a brush that attaches to the hose on the vacuum cleaner for vacuuming pets with. :shocking:

I have worked with Sadie the past couple of years to get her comfortable with the noise of the vacuum as well as other loud noises so she is pretty much bomb proof these days. I am thinking she will be just fine, especially once she realizes it is a brush, because she loves to be brushed, but this will(hopefully) help to eliminate the undercoat shedding that she does year round.

Amazon! Or a car parts site. It's out there. Hard to come by doesn't mean not possible. I have a full sized spare because you never know. I'd rather be prepared and not need it than to need it and not be prepared and have my donut go flat before I could get it to the shop.

I lied. I will likely go to the movies before the end of the year. Maybe on the 31st. So my last purchase for the year will be a movie ticket. That's $9.25. I can deal with that.

I had to shell out money for new glasses today. Thankfully I have good vision insurance, but it still cost me $200 out of pocket.

There is a new Bulk Nation right next door to the vision center, so of course I had to go in and check it out. I really like this market. This from their
website, "Because we buy in bulk, we are able to pass on immense savings directly to our customers," explains Clay Donato, Bulk Nation's president. "Our products are delivered straight from the truck to the shelf, so we carry very little backstock. This ensures the freshness and quality of the food products in our stores.

At Bulk Nation, you'll find over 3,000 specialty food items to choose from. The store offers 96 different spices, 40 different types of unique flours and sugars, 35 types of coffee, 24 loose-leaf teas and 10 different types of olive oils and vinegars – all sold from bulk. The wide range of food categories also includes beans, rices, pasta, soup mixes, nuts, dried fruits, candy, snacks, trail mixes, specialty drinks and much more.

Searching for something a little more unique and unconventional? Bulk Nation has a huge selection of specialty products, including freshly made nut butters, organic fare, protein powders, local raw honey and more, making the store a prime destination for people with special dietary needs.

We try to stay up on what's new and make our product range as eclectic as possible, while still meeting the needs of the conventional customer as well, says Donato."

It's nice to be able to buy only the amount I need of a product in the immediate future, as well as not having to buy the packaging as well.

So long story short, I bought dried unsweetened coconut, dried plantain chips, pumpkin seeds, dried beet chips, dried goji berries, Brazil nuts, and dark chocolate nibs. All for $20.

I will mix this in with some sunflower seeds and pecans that I already have and make an awesome trail mix to snack on.

Seems one pair just won't cut it when it comes to my eyeglasses these days! I went in my my second appointment today to see about getting the script on my new glasses adjusted so I can actually see out of them, and ended up having to purchase a second pair.

As was suggested by a couple of kind BFP folks it worked out that it is better for me to get two different pair of glasses. One pair will be the computer lenses with a lower reading area like I've worn for the last couple of years which I will wear when reading, doing stuff around the house and when using the computer. The 2nd pair with polycarbonate (safer because I am already legally blind in one eye), transitional lenses for driving, mowing the lawn etc. with a slight distance correction and a smaller reading field.

I do not feel I need them for mowing or driving, but she wants me to wear them more for protection for my good eye. She, (the Dr.) told me about a patient she had a few years ago who was legally blind in one eye. He was out in his yard and his neighbor was mowing. The blade hit a rock just right and sent it flying straight into the good eye of his patient blinding him permanently. So I guess I will do as she suggested and wear them.

So now you all know all about my eyeballs! Lol! :sigh: I feel much better! ;)

Two pairs of underwear.

It is time for me to change my underwear (hardy har har) style, so I ordered two pairs to get my research on!

And the results are in!

I am officially switching to this style of American Eagle 3 inch trunk after spending 20 years with Calvin Klein. They come in mainly unattractive patterns, but they feel good and have a thin, yet strong fabric. I like a thin fabric because then there is no bulging in my dress pants. 96% Cotton 4% Elastane, for this one particular pair (which is perfect).

They are significantly cheaper than my calvins, too.

*me tinkin' Dapper's girl will need sunglasses when she looks at Dapper's new draws*

TehHehHeh! ;)

Dapper, I love AE ... especially their pants for guys. They have not gone totally crazy yet with putting the stretchie in ALL their pants yet. And I have a cotton jacket from AE that is lined with flannel. When it is really cold, it is my go to. Keeps me so warm. I have worn it for years.

I had to go pick up my other pair of glasses today, and well, the bulk food store is in the same parking lot and I needed to spend $20 more by the end of March in order to get my $10 gift card. I know you all can see where this is going, but I also trust that you also see how important it was to obtain my gift card in a timely fashion. Right?

At any rate, it isn't important how much I spent. I did buy healthy stuff, plus I not only got my gift card, they allowed me to use it on this purchase instead of waiting until my next purchase like I was supposed to do. There may have been a tiny amount of pleading in order for this to happen, but none that I will admit to.

I bought raw cashews & walnuts which I will roast and season. Almond flour, dark chocolate chips, dried veggies...I will use most of this for trail mix. I also bought fresh almond butter, dried prunes & various other dried fruit that I use to flavor my kombucha tea and kefir sodas with. Oh and some dried herbs- herbs de province, oregano and basil.

I new this day was coming because it had gotten to the point that it took 30 minutes to come on in the morning. :( So today, I purchased a refurbished model of the same brand with a 1 year warranty. Two pitchers of pop. Two, I don't know what they were sets of Transformer like action figure kind of robotic creature looking things that may or might not have been actual Transformer toys, and two Pokemon posters for my grandson's birthday. My oldest son who knows a lot better than I do, what boys turning four these days like, picked it all out and then we split the bill and made the loot from the two of us. Afterwards I bought myself a huge iced latte, no flavors or whipped cream, made with low fat milk because I blew my diet, by having too much Canadian Bacon and Pineapple Pizza, as well as regular, rather than sugar-free root beer at the birthday party. Being a grandparent is so fun! :) Though tomorrow on the scale maybe not so much. :( Even if I don't gain an ounce I'm regretting the pizza because it is definitely on my do not consume until slim list and well I partook. I'm glad it's not Lent. I'd probably feel double guilty what for my food choices today, and I'm not even Catholic.

I got a few of these motion-sensor lights to go under the kitchen cabinets and I love them. They're easy to install and they work well.

https://www.bittopper.com/c/ee/dc/26/bittopper_eedc264cdffcd4bbbc09fd932fe73e1f-oxyled-oxysense-t-02u-usb-rechargeable-20-bright-led-night.jpg

They stick on or screw in and are USB rechargeable. I'm thinking of getting some for a couple closets.

I also got this makeup brush cleaner and it worked well.

It took a less time for me to clean my brushes with this silicone pad than without it. I really like it.

we just got home from work...my husband is down at the Dollar Store, buying a tv remote.

Moon Baby (the dog) had an anxious day at the house while we were at work. I came home to a chewed to itty bitty black pieces, tv remote...

she got locked in her crate with the remote taped to it so she would understand. (dont mention horse-cart analogies please. LOL)

Oh, I was a bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad girl today.

A local sports store is going out of business and that's where I typically get my workout shoes, inserts and other sporty miscellaneous stuff. I wound up with 2 pair of Nikes, a pair of Asics, a pair of Under Armours, and a pair of Sauconys. I also got a pair of flip flops that are made from recycled yoga mats, a workout tank, 2 inserts, 5 sets of laces and 5 bundles of sports socks.

I also filled a bag at the craft store and 2 bags at the grocery store.
