I bought a Thundershirt (http://www.thundershirt.com/). I just found out about them- as I understand it, they're supposed to help with dog anxiety by making the dog feel physically supported/hugged. With all the afternoon thunderstorms the last few weeks, my dog could use some anxiety relief. Hope it works!

well, I contracted...does that count? A few years ago when I first moved into this home, when i was on heavy doses of meds that made me forgetful, I forgot I had turned on water in the upstairs bathroom sink. How I did this, i dont know. I literally walked into the bathroom, turned it on, walked out and went downstairs. I was talking to a dear friend on the phone when I heard what sounded like a waterfall..got up and went into my kitchen to find water cascading down from my ceiling!
I never had the money to fix this. Until now. I have to make three payments, which I made the first one today, and the are going to fix it starting tomorrow. But its finally getting done.

JD do you think it's at all like the comfort people with autism feel, when they are snugly enclosed? I'm thinking of Temple Grandon, as she tells it, when she was a kid, she found it comforting to lie under the couch cushions and have her mom sit on them. And then she developed that chute for cows who are walking down ramps in a slaughterhouse, the chutes have cushions on them and "hug" the cows, alleviating their fear and making their meat more tender because it isn't shot with adrenaline at the last minute. (!)

I didn't buy a swimsuit even though the one I am wearing now REALLY needs to be replaced. I went to every store in the Okanagan and couldn't find one that I could actually swim in. Although I did find a really sexy one that I am kind of kicking myself for not buying. But, really I need one I can swim in, not just sit there and look pretty.
But, I did buy art supplies to make the ornaments I want to make. Never let me in an art store alone. It doesn't matter how broke I am I will come out with stuff that I absolutely had to have.

OK...I just tried the Nutra Nail Gel Perfect 5 Minute Gel-Color Manicure that I bought last weekend.
This stuff is awesome! It's super easy and very fast to apply. In fact, it took me longer to prep my nails than to apply the product!
The prep is just cleaning with remover and slightly buffing your nails. The steps are: a coat of activator on 5 nails immediately followed by a coat of the nail color; wipe off the color brush on a clean paper towel and put color brush in the brush cleaner and put the brush from that bottle in the nail color bottle; then do the same for the other hand; repeat for each hand but while the color is still wet brush a coat of activator on each nail and seal the edges.
It dries really fast and the shine is beautiful! Also it dries hard so definitely no smudges and my nails are as hard as though I'd had a gel manicure from a salon.
I bought the sheer pink and my nails look beautiful! I can't wait to try a darker color! BTW- they give you enough product to do your nails several times.
Bonus - there was a $2 coupon in the box so that next color will only cost about $8 at Wally World...WooHoo!

OH....... the cutest black suede shooties (half shoe/half boot, ankle length) They have a suede bow in the back at the heel. And, yes , you have to walk round the house in them, click click across the floor. Lol
Oh....and tights, body butters, 4 or 5 sweaters, a dress and a super cute screen print hoodie.

I got an incredible pair of Blinged out jeans! At my shop! I have been wanting a pair of the blinged pocket jeans but could never afford how expensive they were. Well, I sell ALL my jeans for $10, so when this pair came in, in my size, I grabbed them!
and I got a pair of calf high boots that look like Doc Martens. Again, $10. Brand new! Also at my store!
I have quit buying from my store but when these came thru, I had to have them. My early Christmas present to myself.

3 sets of all singing, all dancing, white fairy lights. 1 for my Christmas tree and 2 for my outside tree (weeping cherry). My old ones were more than 10yrs old and all had dark sections that wouldn't light up even when I checked and replaced the bulbs. When I took them down last year I put them straight in the bin!
