Drinking glasses. It looks like it was supposed to be a set of eight – eight tall, eight short, but two of the shorts are missing so it's now service for six. The Goodwill here gets a lot of brand new things from retailers in our area. You never know when the trucks are going to come in or how the staff will stagger displays, retail the things brought in so I usually don't set out searching for anything specific when I go. Just lucky score. They're nothing fancy it looks like maybe Libbey Classic smoke, but I really like them for every day. I also found the best mugs. Not by the same company but a light gray sort of color that pairs well with the glasses. I think they were maybe supposed to be a set of six and if so one is missing.

Still they're very nice and when am I going to be having more people than I can fit in my living room over for coffee anyway. Now that my sons are grown, both have wives to keep happy and children to keep up with it just makes more sense to go to one or the other's place for large gatherings. My oldest has the bigger house, small yard. My youngest has the smaller house, big yard. So just depending on the season, where the weather is best that's where we are. Which is kind of nice. I clean up as if I were expecting company before I leave so when I come home from chaos and crazy it's just peace and quite, and cleanliness. And of course the ever calm, cool and always collected Monte the Magnificent.

New living room furniture. Sofa, loveseat, chair and two end tables. Sofa is back ordered till after Xmas. But the rest will be delivered on Sat.

Aqua grey color fabric. I think I'll paint the walls a faint grey. I have two ottomans that I'll find a coordinating fabric to reupholster. I'll decide if I want an area rug after I live with it awhile.

I think I love furniture shopping! Thank you Rooms To Go.

Last week it was a new hot water heater.

A new car!! I picked it up yesterday! I still have my truck on the road - but that ole' girl is starting to see better days and I really needed to upgrade to something where I felt more secure. I hate it when that happens! I don't eat very much red meat anymore but when I pick something up that doesn't meet my expectations, it's very disappointing.

I had an aunt who used to work for Sees. Back then they got an employee discount on sales floor ready items. They were also able to buy items that were slightly imperfect at an even greater savings during I believe it was Christmas and Easter but definitely Christmas and one other holiday. They'd save the candy that froze well, that was slightly imperfect or items boxed and ready to go that customers never picked up, which couldn't be put back on the sales floor, in the freezer. All of it just bagged up in a jumble and you really didn't know what you'd get, except that's what we'd be getting from her so it was a bit of an adventure and we loved it. Anyhow this was decades and decades ago but See's, good stuff so an outlet store near enough to get to, lucky you!

-Two four pack boxes of Kroger Easy Care tissue.
-Cheap antiquated cell phone with cheap minutes and easy to read letters.
-Cheap antiquated landline w/big numbers, loud speaker and ability to program in pictures of faces of people I know so “Now that you're getting older well it'll be a good thing to have a handset in the bathroom in case you fall. Or say you're just having a heart attack or something then you'll have the landline for backup. The numbers on that are bigger, will make it easier for you to see, so you can call and let us know we need to dial 911 for you”.

My mother usually didn't buy them on the vine either. She didn't pick the stems off growing up we just ate other kinds. I don't know it for a scientific fact but she said buying them with the stem on keeps them fresh for a little bit longer so that's why some people we knew did. However not that much longer and besides in our house we used them up so fast it didn't really matter.

Today was...
3 bags of potting soil. I have 5 pots that were given to me, of which I've spray painted pastel coastal colors. I'm not sure what is going in them just yet. But I have ideas of this beautiful white bougainvillea and a climbing jasmine vine.
Some heavy duty epoxy glue. A sunroom project with shade cloth going over the windows.
Thai basil, sage and a lavender plant.

And....out under the porch I have my very own vine ripened sweet cocktail cherry tomatos. And...very soon to have red and orange peppers. Just saying, I've never grown any veggies before!

Boat ton of stuff, too much to list. All of it for just in case shortages at store persist, get even worse. I don't want to horde but the way things are now if I don't buy while it's in stock I live to regret it. I'm hoping now that the mask mandates have lifted things will ease up.

We have a pile of keys and every time we need something we have to go one after another to see if it’s the right key. I finally had enough! I was on FB and a gentleman and his wife are having a garage sale tomorrow and Saturday and I happened to notice in one of the pics they posted some Batman stuff. So, I messaged him and asked if there was any way I could stop by and pluck those items up from him. He was more than happy to oblige. However, the best part was - he also offered to let Me look through ALL the rest of the stuff he had - so I scored the following:

1 diecast Batmobile (medium sized) and 1 Hot Wheels Batmobile (small)

A new in the package Coleman backpack cooler - that holds up to 56 canned items (or anything else that would fill the thing out).

A NIKON cool pix camera - brand new - for only $10. I have been looking for this type of camera FOREVER as I used to have one - and it broke. This was a serious score as the retail on them is pretty pricey.

4 pairs of capri pants and 5 t-shirts for My sister.

2 pkgs of zip ties

3 necklaces and 1 watch (all new in their original packaging).

Numerous (dare I say it) Christmas decorations and a door wreath.

1 tall (new) candle that smells like citrus.

1 bunch of fake flowers (yellow, purple, green, and white) for My sister.

1 travel Yahtzee game.

1 Harry Potter pez (for My niece).

1 wireless set of earbuds

I think there were a few more things - but I cannot remember them now. All of this stuff - totaled out to $32!

It felt like garage sale prime day!

Is anyone here interested in watches? I've recently gained a heavy interest in them and have purchased a couple. I'm still learning about movements and the pros and cons of each, but for now, I'm starting with the aesthetics and size of the face, bezel, case, strap and strap closure. And of course, reliability. I'm learning about the history of some of the brands and even how some companies are moving towards eco-friendly construction, such as the Alpina Seastrong Diver Gyre that's made of recycled ocean plastic and apples (you read that right).

I love the idea of matching a wrist watch with what I wear or do; it feels...rich. It's one of those accoutrements that is probably unnoticed by everyone but me, and it's worth penny. Since I'm not rolling in disposable income, I'm starting with the low end of some of the lower luxury brands to get a feel for what I think of the company. Today I got a Tissot Couturier. It's a stainless steel case with a black face, silver-tone hands and hour markers, and orange minute markers with orange stitching on the black leather strap.

I DO notice watches, on, well, almost everyone! I find them fascinating! I am going to google the recycled plastic & apples one.

You are, for sure, a watch connoiseur! Awesome!

My all time favorite is a Citizen's Eco Drive...stainless steel snap band, tiny diamonds around edge, and the face is mother of pearl....it is a gorgeous watch. My deceased, LTR partner gave it to me, as a last gift, about 13 yrs ago. It doesn't use batteries, rather works on movement. Everyone is always asking me if it is a Rolex...it looks that nice/expensive. As it was, this watch was almost a grand BUT we got it for a third (store closing/liquidation). I was actually looking for a Tag Hauer and saw that MOP face & KNEW it was for me.

Thanks for an interesting post!!!

It's also friends and family at TJMaxx! So I hit up Home Goods. Clearance is in full swing at both stores. I came home with a galvanized elongated tub. I'll make holes in the bottom and turn it into a planter. And another galvanized double wine holder I'll do the same.

I hit up Sprouts last night and brought home not only fresh veggies and fruit, but its Hatch Chili season. I came home with wonderful Hatch chili goodies. Chicken Hatch Chile sausages, Hatch chili veggie straws and cheese curds, (similar to crunchy cheese puffs, with a great chili punch!) Hatch Chile mac and cheese and some super tasty Hatch chili ranch dressing with avocado oil.

It's also friends and family at TJMaxx! So I hit up Home Goods. Clearance is in full swing at both stores. I came home with a galvanized elongated tub. I'll make holes in the bottom and turn it into a planter. And another galvanized double wine holder I'll do the same.
Also a bar of lemon grass soap. My bathroom smells a- mazing!
Hot peppered olives and chocolate smores macaroons.

I'm might hit up Marshall's this afternoon😮😎

Nice haul!!!

Some dry extra duty Swiffer cloths

A new cordless home phone with an extra handset and answering machine.

Well, I gave in and did it. I have a LEGO set that involves all things Christmas. I already have the Gingerbread House.. and I display it during the season. The other sets are - Santa's house, the Elf workshop, the Train station, and the Fire house. I decided to buy Santa's house. It will arrive this Wednesday!!

I had a feeling I would not be able to go long without having something to put together! The bottom line is, it is such a stress reliever for Me that I just have to have one on progress and most times one waiting in the wings to be built!

Look for this bag here (https://cosmiccrisp.com/resources/media-kit/photos/). They are running between $6-7 per bag but there are usually 6-7 good sized apples in each bag and they are hard, which I love. Soft apples feel mealy to me. Back story: In June, Wayfair told me they ran out of these sheets and gave me a refund. Then yesterday they delivered not one, but two sets of sheets. Same color, same size, same pattern. I wrote them asking them to send me a label so I can return the extra set. She told me to keep them or give them away. I’ll give them to my grandniece. I think so too. I noticed that they keep longer and aren't as sensitive to damage as Honey Crisp apples are either. I will say that I think the Honey Crisp pairs better with peanut butter and cheese (not together!) than the Cosmic Crisps. I tend to eat those solo.

For thread compliance, I paid some bills today.

[QUOTE=GeorgiaMa'am;1291018]- Dog medicine (yeah, I got 77 more Delta Skymiles for that one)

I recently learned that the Costco pharmacies will also fill pet prescriptions if of course they're people medicines. I knew CVS and Walgreens did. Costco pharmacies can't restrict their sales to members only; it's illegal (I think in all states) so even if you don't have a Costco member simply tell them at the door you're there for the pharmacy. What amazed me was how much lower Costco's prescriptions were versus both CVS and Walgreens. I was self-pay for a long time and the price differences were staggering in some cases.

I bought clear pink plastic bowl from party city. A small minnie mouse from a store here called Five Below. Styro foam glue, smaller styrofoam round to glue inverted bowl to an smaller one get glued to next size up to help support pink fairy light I inserted thru hole made in first round foam in bottom. Plastic faceted beads that purple ones stood out best when glued to bowl bottom and I glued bead to Minnie's hand and few in front of her to look like pile of ornaments. Minnie and tree got glued with this really good glue calledG-S hypo cement....on top of white tree I put this round minnie head that was off pen I got at party city... I don't know how you post pictures....

a new handbag. Its pink. I'm not really into name brands, but it is a Kate Spade. And it's super cute!

Merry Christmas to me.

Pair of new sunglasses. They are pretty risegold color.
Real maple syrup for some cookies I will be making.
