She is sweet and her parents are great ppl. Should be fun and not too hard as I am used to about 12 per day of her age group. (18 months - 2) lol Still, will be able to sleep in and THAT is WONDERFUL!

Got a little bit of bad news earlier this week..Felt like i got kicked in the gut and also took a little wind out of my sail..There is still some kinda good comming out of it..Dealing with it better but still dont like it..Kinda slowed me down a little on getting my kitchen ceiling done..Gotta get back at it..

Started to cut some trees up at a friends house today and got rained out and a little nervous..Kinda big trees and thought i should have a little help..Yes i admitted it i need help..Probly better have the owner of the trees there because she is very peticular on how things should be done..She gave me a little "chop saw" i need and payment is cutting trees..I really like doing stuff like that..Got me out of this little house to..

It has been very windy here and not blowing the right way for raking leaves..Tried it yesterday and ended up quitting..Today it rained so now they are wet and stick to my boots my rake my tarp my goodness..To wet to burn and to windy..I hope i can the yard cleaned up before the snow flies..

You are now officially a "Shed Head". I was in Gulfport earlier this year checking on my property and visiting family and of course, I went to The Shed! I used to live about 15 miles from the originial store in Ocean Springs Mississippi. I miss their BBQ!!! Glad you enjoyed it!

Ruthie i hope you feel better by tomorrow..Not fun being sick..My "Hair Girl" got me straightened out when i was sick..I was sittin in her chair getting a trim and said to hurry up cause i want to go to bed and she said i know..She told me to take Vicks VapoRub and rub it all over my chest and put some on my feet-put socks on then go to bed..Never heard of doing that so being desperate and not wanting to be sick i did it..Got up a few hours later and felt pretty good..Not 100% but definately better about 85% and could breath better..I will do that again when under the weather again..Try it,,cant make it worse..

HD How is that building comming along..??..If i was your neighbor i would be over there helping you or getting in your way..I like doing stuff like that..I put a 10x12 building together from a kit..It was pretty easy to build with everything pre-cut and measured..Eventually sold that and had a bigger one built..Now i want a Bigger-Bigger one built..Make up my mind..Good luck to you on your build..

Hello lofters! Thanks for all the well wishes. Trying my best to beat this thing.

Tonight was the final (un)dress rehearsal for the madrigal dinners I will be singing and serving in. Feel better today but have been under the weather so I hope I am not extending myself too much. Very hard to do this after a day at work but I love to do it and it is our biannual fundraiser. Really... Who wouldn't want to see me dressed up as a wench? and sing? and serve you a 6 course pork dinner to boot? Before the kids started comming in my family i was not intrested in being around anyones kidz..Kinda afraid of them because i didnt know how to interact with them or talk to them..

Ok like i said i was scared of other peoples kids..Then my kids started to come and i learned how to talk to them and play with them and as adults now i am very-very close to all 5 of them..I bought my first cell phone to keep in touch with them.I learned how to text them and yes i did get help from one of the kidz..I love those kids and would take a bullet for anyone of them at a seconds notice..

Anyway here is my idea..Just my thoughts..
I guess first you gotta figure out if it is the Mom Lady making it hard on the Kid or is the Kid making it hard on the Mom Lady..If the kid is whining she only has 2 more years until she is an adult..So you might mention to her to suck it up you are almost on your own..I had this conversation with 2 of my kids..Now 4 out of the 5 are on their own and they lived through it..Ok now if the Mom Lady is making it hard on the Kid then i think you better find out why the kid wants to go..Quiet at your house..Hummmm..Is there alot of arguing??Step Dad-Sister-Brother..Dont know the living situation.Gotta find out the reason..If you do agree to let her stay give it a time limit and a few rules that you stick by..Also might mention if you do let her stay with you guys and it doesnt work out and you gotta fly her back early then as soon as she gets a job she needs to pay you back for that plane ticket..Ask your partner if there was anyone she/he looked up to as a kid growing up..Maybe a Kid in the house would be a good thing..Your partner might get a good friend and someone to hang out with when you arent around..I say try it and let the Kid know if the rules arent followed it will stop as quick as it started..
I dont mean to offend anyone if i did "mis-speak"..I am sorry if i did..This is just my thought..Actually i might be put in the same situation if i pursue the thought you are having..My 16 year old niece also..I dont want to finish raising her but will not turn her away..

I see so many posts talking about 50's , well they say 50's is 40's these days . I personally , believe it's the state of mind of your age . when I was in my 40's I acted like I was in late 30's . Now, in my 50's I feel older . I have my family which is my son and my grandchildren . My seven months old granddaughter can stand any men except my son . It's family joke when my son said to me . " well , I already know she will be lesbian like you " , I don't believe it , but it's nice to know he is so open to idea and would be excepting her lifestyle if happens , since he was raised by two mothers .

I don't mind it at all, I love getting discounts! In fact, I shop at my local grocery store on a certain day of the week to get an EXTRA 15% off, and whenever I go to a restaurant (even fast food drive-thru lanes!) I ask for their "Senior Discount". I get anywhere from 10-20% off my bill!

The funniest thing that happened was back when I was in FL, and my ex-partner and I had gone to Denny's one night. I figured I would just order off the Senior menu, and then SHE said she was going to as well! (and she is not yet 50, so doesn't merit the "senior status" yet, and in fact she CRIES when she talks about how she is scared and depressed at being 49 next Feb!). She DOES like a bargain, though, so is not adverse to a white lie to get one!

I am taking a bit of a break to eat some lunch (homemade ham & field peas soup), look around in BFP for a bit, then back to work calling insurance companies. It is cold and cloudy here in AR, missing my old FL weather. Clay, you will have to enjoy the warmth in the south for me! Good thing I am self employed, I don't HAVE to go outside!

When I get done for the day, I am going to treat myself to watching the last Happy Potter movie. Was catching up with the next-to-last movie last night, to remind me before watching this one. Have to finish it all by tonite, though, as Tuesday is my NCIS night! Woo-hoo!

Hey APG: It IS awesome here today. Countyfem & I went to a BBQ lunch at Jim & Nick's...and ate out on patio..was a gorgeous 75 here today..awesome blue skies, sunshine, and few clouds.
Then we went to Hilton Head Island Beach...she made some pics, dipped her feet in sand, and we came back by Starbucks...and had a coffee. Tomorrow we will see the Old Sheldon Church Ruins and some cool places as well as downtown waterfront park..we will have lunch on the waterfront...and weather should be as awesome then as well...so come on down and join us dahlink!!!
I am so blessed to have her here...she is keeping me laughing and NOT thinking about Friday. I have a very best friend in her..and I am so blessed we have become such awesome friends...she is such a sweetheart...and I hope someone very special wins her heart!!! First... I didn't cook the dinner so I did not cook the bores head. It came in seperated from its body I'll have you know. With the full reverance it deserved. lolol

Morning star.... This is my full time job as a nursery school teacher. It is very high stress and low low pay. My 59 year old self can't handle the physical or the emotional stress anymore. Most child care teachers only last 5 years... I am very long in the toothe.

My part time job is working with autistic young adults and I have a pet/babysitinng business as well. .. still live paycheck to paycheck.

Need to find a full time job with less physical stess and more money. lololol Good luck right?
I am in a lot of pain tonight... to much lifting and stress I think.

and get off this damm road.. i miss being home so much. :(
but right now....... it pays the bills i guess.

I hope all is well with all of you. I hope all of you had a Thanksgiving not like mine. My daughter and her hubbie came and belive me it wasn't a nice Thanksgiving. It will take some time for my heart heals from her crap.Her and I got in to it 3 times. What am I thankful for....They left the day after Thanksgiving. :byebye: One of the things-I brought Jon some candy he likes and was going to give it to him so I disn't have to pay postage. Shelly,my daughter, informed me They DID NOT like that candy. I said well I gave Jon some last year and he seemed to be happy about it. She told me NOT TO get them any thing. There was nothing they needed or wanted. Because,they just go out and buy what they need and want. If I give or send them any thing it will get returned. She blew up again and I said well never mind shelly I'll take care of it. She said something to me and I said I'll take care of it. I told her to scue it Shelly and tossed the candy in the trash can. She also told me she will not pay for my casket and so on. (I had told er my life Ins was made out to her but she would have to pay the rest of what my life Insurance will not pay. What a duirty look I got from her. I asked her if her and Jon got there blood typ done to see if they matched my blood typ. She more or less told me to go to H**l. She didn't like my friend Kodey who ate Thanksgiving with us. She pulled more crap but,I know you have a feeling what all had gone on.Some of You know the trouble I have had with the family. Honest to God I wanted to grab her and shake the stuffing out of her.She really had me ticked. Pluse,my Mom had one of her heart spells from all the crap from her. I belive Shellys money has gone to her head pluse his money to. I love my daughter very much but,my Kidney Dr. was me to try to stay away from stresful stuff. It makes my kidneys slah off even more.
I'm having test done to see if I can get a kidney. My kidneys are only 24% working. If it drops to 10% that willn't substan life.

I am so sorry what is happening with your daughter . We as a parents should be enjoying are children and grandchildren . Hopefully one day she realizes that everything you teach her will surfaces and be daughter you raised . It's very painful and trust me I understand .

OMG...so I have the kid and have booked her on a flight with us to my partners sisters in washington dc for christmas. Since the kid has been here i have heard nothin from her mother. Our trip was planned months ago! I spent bookoo bucks to get her on the same plane with us, what was i gonna do leave her here with the housesitter??Now I have to take the kid down to her mothers after we get back on the 28th.Its only 1 1/2 hrs away in another state. I may just hang myself!! So glad i have u guys to covetch with here..it helps!!

It is hard do to my Mom isn't to get up set. Shelly,my daughter,called he two times but didn't talk to me. I enjoyed my daughter when she was little. I rember those day. They would good. I could tell her things about the family but,I think it would hurt her and distory her. I think her hubbie is controling her from what I seen when they was here. I don't like him at all. I don't trust him. My mother found out today ibehind 1 eye she has a blood clot the othere eye has a groth. so,I don't know what all is going on.~~~~

I was checking in to see how you all was. Has any one on here has lived with your Mom and see changes in her-rembering-repeeting things and seeing her go down hill? I think one bad place is she notice it her self. Now she has too many red blood cells and has to go to the Hospital and have blood taken out of her. It just washes her right out like a lemp dish rag. She has to go Monday. Then she has to see the Dr. on tuesday.
the Dr. told my Mom she has 5 to 7 years if she takes good care of her self. The red blood cells change in to Loukemia.(mispelled)The Dr. she has is a back door Dr. Personaly I don't care for him.Meaning he is a100%jurk. I love my Mom very much. Its hard seeing these changes. I know other people have gone through this. You know if I had 6 wishes i would wish for 1.every one would have food 2.every one would have drinks and every 3.one would be happy and 4.us GLBT people would be exsepted and 5. everyone would know they are loved. 6. no one would be sick.
A gal we use to have here as a fresh air kid she emailed me today and said she should come up to see every one befor any one passes away. The last time she said that she came up and the next day after she left my Dad died.
(Mom has been saying she will not be here next year. She has said this befor I ever got this email from her.) I know I "talk " alot on here but,I really don't have any one to talk to about things. My Mom has had one heck of a life-her Mom died when she was 7 years old. My Mom dad was a drunk and she marryed a drunk-my Dad. She has worked all of her life. He would beat her and so on. I wish I could make the remander of Moms life a happy one. I don't cry around her. I walk off to some othere room or go out side and yell at God.
There are many things I just don't understand.

I see it in my Moms eyes the pain she has and she knows she might not be here. Her Dr. has ordered her a walker with wheels and co2 at night and during the day when she needs it. Ruthie,I know how hard it is to see a love one go down hill. Its heart renching.

We still have my grandaughter with us.We have decided to get gardianship. Have all the paperwork, and a lawyer. Crazy thing is her mom wants her to come back and be put into a foster home. We spent Christmas in Washington Dc with my patners family, it was wonderful having the girl with us. My partner said, "I feel like this is the first time I am bringing "my family" home for Christmas. :)

My devilled eggs are the southern version....and I make a blue devilled egg as well....my potato salad is to die for...my "better than sex cake..well jus' sayin'....has chocolate (devil's food" chocolate, hot fudge, hershey's syrup, pecans, and either "dark beer" OR coca cola" and a powdered sugar, cocoa, and dark beer glaze....yumm..hot right out the oven with hot fudge sauce....yummm. I have quite a repertoire of things I cook..smiles...I even paint a femme's nails if she likes....smiles....

It is going to go on my right shoulder, across from the one on my left. It will be a pink triangle, rimmed in heavy black, with an oriental symbol of women in the middle, also drawn in heavy black. I think it will be cool. Got a friend going with me.

Now when I get home, if I can figure out how to do it, I will put up a pic! Woo-hoo!

I took Mom over to the Drs. To find out about test she had done. She has to have her galblader taken out. Its full of powlips and they tend to be canceres. She is a big risk for surgery. She has to have blood work done and have a 24 hr heart moniter on her. I really don't want her going to Wellsville Hospital nothing but back door Drs and same with the Hospital. I would like to see her go to Strong in Rochester. I know its her choice but,if it was me I would want to go to strong.

I just found out my friend had been missing for days befor she was found.
I hope all here are having a great week so far.

I know if I had passed away my friend would be there for my family. I want to be there how ever on the way home tonight after looking for dress pants and dress shirt I did't find a thing in the stores. How ever I didn't come home with out any thing. I came in the back door with a ticket in my hand``I got picked up. My n.y. Inspectsion was out dated by 3 mounths. Great. I couldn't drive it till it gets inspected. I will have to call to try to get it done in the A.M. because,I got to go out of town....And life goes on....LOL

Polyps in your mom's gallbladder? That is unusual. Most people just get stones and they're painful enough. It does sound like she's at risk and she should most definitely be at a hospital that can monitor her properly.

I called this A.M. and I take the car in at 3:30 P.M. But,kind of late to go for pants and shirt in Hornell. I might try it. I need something to ware. I don't want to use my jeans because I have to roll the pant legs. I'm short legged so a 30 in linth is too long I need a 28. I will come up with something.

The Dr. called here today and said Mrs....... I said no I'm her daughter. He started telling me about my moms health. I couldn't belive it....Some Dr. Oh well,I know partly what is what. My Mom has polyps and at her age they are cancer and if she can stand taking the surgery they will do it. This is what the Dr. said to me. I know i don't want any thing to happen to my Mom. How ever I know God will call her home when its her time.


rustedrims,I want to share something with you. Yes,he isn't here in body but,He will be with you and his family as long as you have memery of him in your heat. I know its very hard. I'm at peace about my dads passing over years ago. I have peace about that Because,I knew if he lived longer the death he would have wood be much worce. Now about my brother,I do not have peace about his death. The Hospital killed him he had a horrable death. My brothers son wasn't going to let me see him because,I was gay. He made trouble between Mom and I. Belive me it was a typ of h_ l_. The last thing my brother said to me I'm pi_ _t at you and will not for give you. That hurt me so deeply.
My brother and I was very close. My main point I'm trying to make Our love ones who have passed over are still with us in are hearts. I hope you don't mind me shareing this with you in a post and not just between you and I. I hope this will help you and any one who needs to read this. Lately things I have helped people with it seems like I'm going through the same things. I guess maybe because,I need to do what I "preach".

I know Christ walked on this earth after He gave up his life. You see I belive a persons "solo" can stay here if there is something that wasn't completed befor they leve earth. "My Nephew" also he stold from my Mom and me. After my brother passed over at the lunch after his thing my partner at the time was with me,we was saying are bys cause we was going home I asked my partner if she was ready to go home "my nephews" wife said Oh I thought you ware the pants ,your the boss not her cause your the butch. She said this so othere family members that didn't know I was a Lesnian. Wow did I get looks from Family and friends of the family. Just befor all of this happened her very rude breat was very rude and nasty to my partner. I tryed to get a hold of him to tell Mel he was sorry. He was too fast for me so,he got out of the house and ran to his momme, he was a teenager. I have nothing to do with my nephew,his wife and his son. Belive we he did more things then what I have typed in here.

three back door Drs. say mom has Polyps cancer. Two of them say she needs her gallbladder out the othere one tells Mom not to have it out. I don't think they can agree on any thing. So,Mom saids she is not having it out. I know my Mom is between a rock and a hard place. I've been there many times. The last time was and still is about my kidneys-tranceplant or do diealis or do nothing let what will happen happen.

I haven't been here for while , but without Clay keeping this thread alive it was not much to say . I am happy for Clay to being well and back . I just came here from Czech boards of 300 women which they are heterosexuals , but it's so easy for me to communicate , when I come here , I freeze and I don't want to write anything that's not only poorly written , but sounds corny .
I so wish when I came to the US , I have a luxury to take 9 months crash course at USC , but I have to work as a single mother and go to school to get my degree back in order take care of my child and myself .

Anyway , nothing new on my end excepts my son it's moving with me . My house it's looking like after a tornado , but we will get it together . It's a big move and I suddenly feel it's not big enough , we donated a lot of stuff , but with four grandchildren and fifth coming in May , it will be busy here .

Good Morning, Everyone. Another day begins and life goes on. I couldn't sleep at all last night. I stayed hot all night long! I wanted to go sleep in a snowbank!

Morning everyone...another beautiful day here in Pair O' Dice!!! LOVE...LOVE....LOVE this gorgeous weather!!!
HEAVEN......bless your heart! My wife would get the "roid red face" and the hot flashes post treatment. She got pre medicated with some Benadryl, Decadron, and then something for nausea....she would get sleepy in the treatment center and nap a bit. Once home she would take a short nap, then be "wired" for 24 to 36 hrs. She would want to talk..and I wanted to sleep...so I got her a dry erase board and let her write down anything she wanted me to know the next day....we kept a big fan on high all the time anyway and she would have one on her if she sat up as well. She would say the steroids in the pre med. would "light her up like a Christmas tree"...smiles..Anyway nap today whenever you can...sending big hugs to you....have a good day..take care of that ankle, BTW!

welll.... i am still in OK city.. our load got cancelled just as we got backed up to the dock ... we were not very happy campers.

Today i gotta grow 3 more hairs on my "Ka-hunahs" [excuse me ladies] and make an appointment for a rootcanal..It will be my first..I have had 3 surgurys in my mouth in the past and it is very uncomfortable to say the least..I had my gums repaired from brushing my teeth to hard..Hey i wanted them clean..

Going to try to get my kid hooked up with a graphics job..She is excited about it and maybe more little jobs will follow..

Speaking of jobs,,Ruthie how is it going over there for you..???..

Well better get my diling finger limbered up..Gotta make that call and make an appointment for pain in my head..

Then to bed..Then to work..

Hey Wolfy...it is not windy here...just the opposite. Of course, we usually have those gentle tropic al winds but that comes with areas with salt water..and tropical surroundings....:).
You ever hear dof this old saying:
winds from the east, fishing is the least...
winds from the west, fishing is the best....

thta is one I grew up and based my fishing on....grin
I LOVE to fish, too..I haven't gone in 4 years....only fishing I can have access to is saltwater..and I HATE catching those dang skates (stingrays) and durn sharks...:(.
I LOVRE freshwater fishing....bream, crappie, trout, bass, cats...always had to have a huge wad of super bubble bubblegum and my hat...and a box of worms;.... or can of corn if fishing for trout....:).

I got some good news for now. My Dr is not putting me on the kidney list for a transplant. My kidneys was working 24% and they have to be 25 % or under. My kidneys are working 27% and befor they never got over 25%. I will still have to stay on this dieit and take crappie medicon that tast crappie. End of March I will have to have blood test and again in another 60 days. I will still have test done as if I'm still getting a transplant.:):happyjump:

Now,my Mother has made her mind up to not have surgery. I talked to my daughter and now I think its wice for mom not to. No matter what she desided I will stand behind her. Its her body and her life her choice.
The gal who was going to marry my brother (the one who died befor they got married) she has cancer very badly. I love her dearly as a exsended sister. Please,keep her in your prayers and thinking well wishes. She has all the treatments for this cancer there is.
