Relaxing in the balmy weather we've had this weekend. Getting ready for more 110+ days. Catching up on blogs. Does anyone here blog? Most of the butch, trans, queer bloggers I read are sooo much younger than I am. I have found only two that are close to my age. It's still good, they go through so much that I can identify with, but still, I'd like to read more experiences, thoughts, etc. from my age group.

Evening Lofters... Hope everyone had a great weekend. Friends and I went to a park friday night and watched the movie Planet 51. So much fun to watch a movie outside! Also went to a River sharks game on sat night (minor league baseball). We had a suite which is a first for me and a rare treat! It was a ton of fun. Hanging out today catching up on laundry and such! Have a great week lofters!

Welllll - I've never posted on this thread before. Thought I might be a little old for y'all folks - to quote an earlier poster, I've kissed 60 and it's kissed me back twice, LOL. But now I see there are a few of us here in this age range so I decided to drop in and say "hey!"
I'm dippin that toe back in the dating pool too, not easy at any time. I'm finding zero gay places to go around here, but I may venture toward Orlando soon. Good Luck to you, Lotus (beautiful screen name, by the way.)
I have a question for the cosmos and for y'all.
If the femme is ready, does the lover appear?
Smooches,
Keri
if the femme is ready and she lets the world know...
yes, lovers will appear from every direction...
question... is this lover in the physical sense or in the more esoteric sense? wait... it doesnt matter... lovers will appear if the femme is ready and it is known...
inevitable...

even when she is NOT ready, lovers appear in every direction. I have had opportunities to date locally but have turned them down. I am 53 and my age doesnt seem to be an obstacle to dating. Nor does my weight...I am a plus size gal and comfortable with myself.
anyway, my weekend was good. I am getting ready to have surgery so I have been scrambling to get things done around the house. I finally got all the furniture moved around this weekend and spent the day cleaning and washing curtains. And tackling more of the garage. And planting bushes. I am exhausted!
I sure wish I could go to Shreverport and meet with Rocky and Dark Crystal !!! How lucky they are to get together!
And Ms Morning Star...I love parelli training and hope you do well selling your art at that clinic!
take care everyone...

I went out to the bar tonight---everyone was so young. I felt out of place... which I was, since I don't drink or dance.
I had to get out of the house and figured my friends 50th B-day party would be a good reason to go to the local watering hole.
I should have kept my butt home. lol
That's all I have to say about that. HUMMM.

HI folks.. feeling lonely tonight. Hardly ever happens... but bc of money concerns i am not doing what i would prefer to be doing this weekend. Finally have the house to myself for the week, a 3 day weekend, and all my friends are busy with thier lives. Happy for them... but sad for me. Feeling my "single state" a whole lot tonight.
Hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend!!

Just wondering if there are any local people within the "grown up" crowd here. (Wash, DC, suburban Maryland, Northern VA). If I could find a handful, I'd have a party and serve veggie chile.
Seems like most of the people here are from the South, West or even further South.
Maybe I'll have to retire to Florida to have my poker party (those sweltering summers tho).
Hope you all enjoy the long weekend. It's beautiful in DC -- "cool" days to bring summer to a close.

Hi Everyone,
It's still sweltering here in Florida. I look forward to those cooler nights that are still to arrive. I can actually look forwad to winter here after hating it for so many years in Michigan, where I lived most of my life.
Wish I was closer to that upcoming chili party. I hope you get a nice little crown together for it. If I could have one super power, it would surely be the ability to teleport. Why, I'd be buzzing my atoms through space everyday to go visit people and see places that I have never seen.
Smooches,
Keri
Keri,
How do you generally feel about living in FL? At least once a year (in the winter) I have a rush of "why aren't I in Florida?", which tends to dissipate by Spring. Now I"m kinda thinking of buying a small condo in FL just for the winters....prices being so reasonable right now.
What I'd love to hear from you is how you manag to survive the blazing hot, humid summers. Do you tend to hide out in an A/C house and never venture out before dark and cooler temperatures?
I used to go to Florida every summer with my kids to visit my mom in Sarasota and we all loved it -- except for the miserable heat.
How is it for gay people in Florida generally? It's a very conservative state.
Whatever you'd care to share would be super and deeply appreciated.

Cold today in NJ? It's 70 degrees! Wait until it's in the teen and we get 3 feet of snow and then you get to complain. Only thing I don't like about fall is what comes after. Maybe I'm just too skinny and thin blooded, but freezing cold is downright painful. The only positive thing I can think of about winter is benig able to sleep under a heavy down comforter.
Have you looked at any properties in Florida?

Anybody under 50 is still growing up. There are a wealth of life experiences they have yet to discover. The thought of dating someone significantly younger doesn't appeal at all. The wine becomes more fragrant and delicious with age.

Hey Jude (Love saying that - that is one of my all time favorite songs)
Summers are pretty hot here in Florida. I have a pretty high resistance to heat, but some days are just burning up. It doesn't cool off much at night either. To be honest, I have only spent one full summer here. I still have a house in Michigan which I have never been able to sell due to the economy there, so I spend around 8 weeks there every summer. In my area of Florida (about 39 miles south of Orlando), August and September are the two hottest months, The nights start to cool off in early October, and really the nights still go down at least to the low seventies until early June, and then its just like someone filpped a switch and the nights get hot too. Everything is on AC of course, and I have a pool, which I love.
To find out how gay life and the attitude toward queerfolk are in FL I would suggest stopping in to the FLorida thread. I was married to an FTM for the first few years I lived here, I was alone for six years after his death, and the guy I just broke up with was FTM also. The laws here are bad, but if the court decision in Cali holds up through the federal courts, we may see and end to all discriminatory laws here soon. I have just started to stick my toes back in to gay waters, you might say. I am perceived as straight by almost everyone in my life.
Also, I think your house swapping idea is a good one. I'd love to spend a week in DC.
Smooches,
Keri

Hello Lofters. I have to say Key West. I've been alot of places and its hard to get personalized season temps all year long. My sister lives in Arkansas. Fayetteville,Eureka Springs area. She loves it! Went to visit her this August wasn't bad and I don't do well in heat . check it out nice area and getting busy. Rehoboth beach,De is not too bad either when it comes to coastal temp.but alas it did get alot of snow dumped on them last winter but the temps weren't too bitter. Good Luck in your search
Have a great weekend!

Smooches,
Keri

who wants to swap with me for a month or so????? LOL
im 15 min from Niagara Fals....... and my rent is 450 a month.... 2 bedrooms.

Just talked with my former stepfather. My stepsister passed away today. She was 48. We were never real close, but we have known each other since we were 4 years old. Had our first day of school together. Such a shame. Her children are in their late 20"s... too young. Can't help but cry.

That's very sad Ruthie. Sorry for your loss and for her kids. It's hard when those who knew us when we were children disappear from our lives. Whether we were close or not, it feels like a lonelier world.

G'day Lofters :chaplin:, it's been a while since I poked my head round the door here, how y'all doin'?. I've been busy having a summer and getting to grips with riding all sorts of different cycles again - both one and two wheeled. I've also just become a university student again......goodness knows how I talked my way into that?!
Ruthie, that is sad, you're in my thoughts.

Thank you for understanding its too damn cold here in the winter in NJ that's one of the reasons for moving to a warmer climate, so its hot in Cali I didn't know that, I'm not small either but dieting so that helps when I follow it!!
Not all of Cali is hot, Lipstix. I was born and raised in L.A. Always hated summer. I have heat intolerance ... I've lived on the east coast and in Oregon. I live in the Bay Area now. There are microclimates here, with temperature differences as much as 15 or greater degrees.
In Oakland, where I live, there are fewer foggy days, lots of sunshine, and warmer temps as compared to San Francisco. It can get up to 90s, and just when I start to whine, the natural air conditioning - fog - comes rolling in and cools things down. The cycle goes three days of heat, then fog comes. Works great for me.

California was on my list but its too expensive to live!! glad to hear that the temperatures are working for ya. Its getting colder in NOrthern NJ in the mornings but the afternoon temps are better with the nights getting cooler, oh well what can you do got live with it until I find a place that is warm and sunny all year round!!

It was about 80 today in Oakland. My ideal temp is about 68. I have heat intolerance. Summers, I want to move to Alaska.
Hope you all have a great weekend. Anyone doing something fun and/or interesting? I'm leaving in a few to see the film, Mao's Last Dancer.
well Just let me know IF u really wanna go there....there are SOME places that Get colder in the winter than others....or U could do like that live there....Be a snow bird...come back to the lower 48 during the winter and be up there in Summers. IT depends on whre U wanna be...because places like Fairbanks, where I was can get pretty WARM in the summer...Max is 85-90.
But then Anchorage a pretty good sized city about 8 hours away gets only to like 78.
JUST thought I would let U know....

Morningstar, don't you think those are kind of role stereotypes? Jeez, you drive a big ass truck. Somebody might say that's not feminine, even if it's bedecked with flowers. In real life, how many people actually fit the mold? I agree, "each to their own"

Ummm Star....Yeah I am rather offended.....I am a softbutch/androgynous person who is ONLY into butches and androgy people. NOT into the whole femme thing.......sorry that is just me.....and yeah none of US as Jude put it.....Fits the Mold....I am into taking care of others. I am a MAJOR caretaker....Does that make me femme?? NOT sure....I LOVE flowers...Hate pink and purple......more into Light blues and Jades and that rubber ducky yellow color....I shop in the men's department...trying helplessly to wear my hair in a fohawk...but I am NOT good at it. Above all I am JUST me. a friend of mine calls me a Chapstick Lesbian

Gentle Moderation
We appreciate the way Jude and naturlover addressed morningstar's post. We need to be able to talk to one another about these things without being harsh and hurtful.
We do *indeed* need to be ever mindful and respectful of the beautiful diversity we celebrate here.
Just because something is "not my thing" doesn't mean I need to say anything about it. I just need to say what my thing is...and I can do that without bringing up the "negative" or flip side.
Gentle Moderation
Just because something is "not my thing" doesn't mean I need to say anything about it. I just need to say what my thing is...and I can do that without bringing up the "negative" or flip side.
So what, we can't say anything negative or the flip side? Our viewpoint
and how we put things is going to be monitored now?

1. No, Jet...not when the "negative" is expressing dislike for the way others here may love, desire, or express sexual interest. That's not okay now, and it won't be later.
2. We have asked that threads not be continually derailed simply because someone does not care for the moderation. Do that via PM.
3. You are being sarcastic as hell in asking that, and you know it. You know full good and well what our intentions were in posting that reminder, and your interjection is not helpful nor is it appreciated.
4. If you have any further issue with this, contact me via PM.

Can this thread be turned into something affirmative?
One of the positive things about growing up (presuming everybody in this thread is a bon afide "grown up") is that we get to take a look at some of the roles we've been playing in life and recognize them as either useful or non productive.
Every one of us have both feminine and masculine aspects. All human beings are somewhat androgynous (gay or straight). How wonderful to be us and able to experience ourselves as we truly are and give full expression to the varied facets of ourselves.
As we mature, one of the bonuses in life is coming to the point where we don't really give a damn what anybody else thinks of us. I don't care what you think of me so long as my authenticity is expressed within my own demeanor.
We wasted a whole lot of time in our youth "giving a damn" :balloon:
Just my thought.
Afterthought: I'd like to say that I am sooooooooooooooooooo pleased that I came upon Butch-Femme Planet. You've got some thoughtful, brilliant, intuitive people here that are hard to come by in the real world. My personal thanks to whomever came up with the idea and to those who moderate and subsidize it with their time and efforts. It's so nice to have a place to try out ideas (possibly try on different hats) and feel right at home. XXX to everybody here.

been around these threads for a long time both here and the dash site-
and *I've* never seen this particular thread anything less than affirmative
:)
*I* still don't.
*I* also think the original post was nicely moderated- with tact, and grace.
:)
life's too short to dwell... yanno?
my version of 'productive' may be your version of an idiot- so what?
our differences, and our versatility in an interconnecting space here
are what a community makes.
we are all fabulous, and perfectly flawed.... period.
so, moving on.....
good afternoon Lofter's!
hope everyone is having a delicious day thus far.

My thing is femmes....
Femmes in all shapes, sizes, short or tall....
Femmes with a sly sense of humor....
Femmes who don't mind a butch helping in the kitchen...
Femmes who like to have their butch open their doors....
Femmes who can dance a two step but who know when it's time
to sit down and take a bit of a rest....
Femmes who may be able to get me to do what I don't want to do.......
Femmes who are independent, those who know how to stand on their own two feet...
but who also lean a bit when they need to....
Femmes who can cock an eyebrow as if to say "oh no, you did not just say that".....
Femmes who also like butches!
Me likem Femmes......

hey this is just MY own opinion or Jive on ur last post.....and I get it from ur sigh.....what U are saying is that U are disappointed that they aren't wanting to be w/ ANY femme.....you included. I am sorry that that has you bothered or sad. BUT like Jet said IT is out there...and will be..and what hy said also was whether we like it or not. I feel a lil offended or hurt by the not part. BUT u know I am not going to mince words here. I just only know what I like....and who I am. Like I said...I identify as me....a soft butch/andgy....who is into other softies and androgynous women. I also like other Female Id butches.
BUT also understand that there is all this diversity......and that is great it is what it is and makes the world go round.
I think the best thing I can say at this pt. JUST to live and let live.
thanks for letting me rant.

Let me just say... my / your preferences in life and love is NOT about questioning others,
BUT about finding the one(s) that share what I / you are looking for...IMHO
Having the WEB to search for my heart throb, friends, and educate me to others' sameness and differences is amazing.
Tho I have lived over a half century, I haven't learned everything (I don't even know what I don't know!). Being a people person I thrive on diversity :)

nin hao, lofters! i haven't been around in awhile. during my time away, i've survived a relapse of rsd, a break-up (amicable), and contuning to be a care-taker. it IS difficult to be in your 40s and 50s and suddenly becoming a care-taker when one did not expect it.
though not greying yet (genetic?), i too would not go back to being younger. i have learned too much to want to do so. in fact, i am trying to unlearn things i learned when younger. i know more about what/whom i want now and can afford to jettison old attitudes and things that simply do not work anymore. i am quite happy w/me and my own company now. been a long journey to get here, though.

the weather has been very strange here in WV. though sept, the temps have been hot for here-almost 90 in the daytime! today it's somewhat cooler. i'm very glad for that! i do NOT look forward to the snow, however! i live on a hill and getting to the dr and to the groc is hades! just getting down to the street is difficult! very slippery and dangerous when i am using a cane! or two. :(
i'd prefer to live around the asheville area in NC. i've heard the temps are more moderate there. in asheville would be best, i think, so i can get public transport and access to the kind of dr.s i need. plus, there might be other buddhists or taoists there for fellwship. perhaps one day....

What's rsd? hope you are on the mend!!
rsd is reflex sympathetic dystrophy, other defined as "PAIN disease."i am quite serious-that IS how it's defined. it is sometimes caused by an accident or sometimes you are just born w/it. in my case, though i did have a very bad auto accident, i think i was born w/it. i remember having these symptoms-extreme pain and cramping of my right extremeities-as a child. i am on the fentanyl patch and ultram for pain. sometimes even that does not help. i deal pretty well, though, and try not to complain. others have things far worse.
thank you for the well-wish!

Well spent yesterday in lots of pain, last night could only pace and toss my cookies, so today I spent in the er trying to get rid of a migraine. Whatever new stuff they give for migraines these days didn't work as well as what they gave me 4 years ago.. took 3 times with new meds to finally get rid of it. Came home had grits and slept for 4 hours. Figured I best get up and get dinner at least and move around a bit so I'll sleep through the night. Strange having dinner at 9 pm. lol Oh well, at least the pain is gone!

I don't understand why they don't put you on imitrex or something like it for maintenance so you don't have to go to the ER all the time. but glad you are feeling better. I used to get migraines all the time with Lyme's disease so I understand pain!! glad you are on the mend..

Tried imitrex but it didn't work on me. I am on other stuff.. but about once I year or so I end up with one getting that bad. I can usually head it off at the pass as they say. However work has been extrememly stressful both emotionally and physiclally, so I am getting more of them. This was the first to land me in the er however. Hopefully things at work are changing and the stress should decrese a bit. What I need is a new job that makes more money and has less stress.... but I have been looking for quite a while and can't find anything I can do. I just keep looking! Of course, now I have another hospital bill to deal with!!! urrrggg

There are lesbian happenings but b-f.... that is hard to come by. I keep trying! Look on the nj thread. I post general things in NJ there, but I have had a hard time getting b-f folks to get together. If you have any ideas let me know. I am just over the bridge from you.

Good Morning! I'm happy to find this thread, guess I'mma lofter too ;)
Sorry for everyone suffering from the allergy bugs, been doing that myself, hoping the windy, cool, rainy days this week will wash away some of that for all of you.
I love fall, but it's also a moody time, as I too am caretaker to aging parents and the past few months have been very stressful juggling their care, care of my own and working. I'm looking forward to some walking in the leaves and down time with friends, and trying to recharge my spirit.
Happy Tuesday!

I shopped for my weight loss regimen which is 50% protein, 30% carb and 20% fat. I'll do this for one month.

Today is an example:

Scrambled eggs, cottage cheese
half a grapefruit
protein snack: Options: Drink or protein bars, nuts, string cheese
Lunch
BLT with turkey bacon
and deviled eggs which I make with cottage cheese, lowfat Mayo and
mustard
Snack: protein snack: Options: Drink or protein bars, nuts, string cheese

Gazpacho
1 100-calorie Thomas English muffin
protein drink
Phase II Energy
Next month: 50% carb, 30% protein, 20% fat
3rd month:

I do high impact excercies. After my weight stabilizes, in 3 months or so, I'll go back to weight training with my gym and weight sets.
Stuff:
Always cook with olive oil (the cheapest and the greenest)
and Canola oil
Drink skim milk
Use sweeteners
never get Fat Free, just get 1/3 fat or low fat
Use egg whites instead of the yolk
Walk judiciously
Eat within the same time frames every day

With the crazy shifts I work, eating at the exact same time is really difficult, but I know how important that is. I have a "cut-off" time though for sure, whether a regular meal has been eaten or not.
I'm a carboholic (is there a thread for that?) :seeingstars: When I do mostly protein in balance with the other stuff, I feel so much better, but I get off track easily, cake anyone?
This lofter can't do high impact. But the gym is paying off :)

How often do you have to remind someone of a "date" ? Was arranged almost a month ago for a great concert. It's an hour away so I called the night before and it's forgotten. I "should have called earlier." I don't ask anyone out often enough, so I had no idea. What do you do? How often do you call and remind someone of the date?

I dont know what you do, but i would never make a date that far in advance unless I knew someone well.

For an important concert? They only come around every two years or so. Made the date as soon as I found out about it.
Anyway, how often do you call? I don't want to be a pest about it. We called or visited only once a month or so previously.
This is a nice article.

I am glad that I found this thread. Saying hello to everyone from the Athens area of Georgia. Have a great Friday and weekend. I plan on being outside as much as possible as the weather is awsome! A bit cold at night (45) but that is okay because I just bought a new electric blanket. Mine died last winter. I was excited to see how they have changed. The new one is that microplush fabric and it is the color of chocolate, ten settings and autoshut off! That tells you how old the other one was.

I had my shoulder looked at this past week. He thinks its a tear in the rotator cuff and has ordered an MRI. We're waiting to see if my insurance covers this particular image service. I talked to him about several things and the nicest part is that I now have primary care Atlanta's gay/gay friendly practice. I'm really comfortable discussing personal health issues with them and being on T. There are concerns he has with that but I will work it out over time. For now, I'm delaying taking any more T.

Hi everyone, i hope you are all enjoying the day....only 1 more day till Friday!!
I haven't been in here for awhile. Hope you're all okay.
I have noticed single, older people on a few threads talking about the kind of relationships they prefer at this stage of life and why they are seeking a particular type of thing i.e. long distance vs local, live-in vs not, hot/steamy vs companionship, commitment vs dating etc. I'm wondering what single folks in this thread are thinking/looking/hoping for in their next relationship and why, if they care to share that.

Good questions Kobi. At this stage in my life I am looking for a friend/companion first. Possible romantic feelings yes. This person should share some similar interests, be intelligent, care about our world and all the animals in it, have the ability to communicate and is a good listener. I have done the long distance relationships and they can be very painful and disappointing so I say no to that forever. If someone comes on very strong right off the bat; red flags go up and I want to run away as fast as I can. I no longer fall for false flattery. Thanks for asking us! What about yourself?

For me, it would be friends first then if romantic feelings start then terrific. The Butch would need to love animals, be thoughtful, care about themself and others, be a good listener, good communication, have some similiar interests. I've been in long distance relationships and some have been painful but a few were good
I haven't been in a long term relationship in so long, its hard to say what I would want. She has to intrigue me that's for sure. And at this age I think its okay to expect that her life is her own and her kids (if there are any) are adult enough to be on their own. At this age I believe we have paid our way—we're entitled to our own happiness and some freedoms.

And? I definitely don't want to be used for my money. I mean, I've worked really really hard for 30+ years to be where I am, not high up, but satisfied with my earnings and I want to play just as hard as I work. Please don't hit me up for cash, I have adult kids to do that! LOL
*I DO SHARE* just sayin.........
Soon to be, fabulously 50! :bunchflowers:
Can't be with anyone who enables their kids or anyone else. I had a short experience with a woman who wiped her kid's butt and cleaned up her messes.
I guess I demand attention, but I damn well give it, too.

It gives me a great deal of pleasure to give my kids cash when they least expect it, and they don't expect it. I've raised a couple of really hard working, well adjusted adults who stand on their own. and? I'm a giver, not a micro-manager, but a giver, that's what makes me happy :)

I dont see you enabling a child in their dysfunction, there's a big difference.

Well? *confession warning* honestly? I find that there is a fine line, and sadly, I no doubt have enabled a few times when I should have stepped away, but it's like anything else in life, you live and learn and burn! :)

you know.. i don't know what i really want anymore.. i do know someday i want commitment, and i do know from now on, it will be friendship first.. i need to someone as much as i want them to know me, to see if there is compatibility .. i'm old school, i'm stone, i'm submissive, i'm many things that tie up into one unique girl - and it's difficult to find someone who respects & appreciates those things about me - so no more seeking.. at this point it's just about continuing on my journey of self & meeting new friends and getting myself back out there.. and then, what happens, happens..
as for long distance vs local.. i've done LDR and it's difficult.. but not impossible, if there is a chance of 'together physically' at some point in time..and the feelings and connection were there, i'd be open to LDR again.. but with some meetings and real time.. i couldn't do LDR permanently, i need interaction..
hot/steamy vs companionship.. i want companionship.. with a big order of hot & steamy all tied into one.. *s* i yearn for someone who'll not only be my love, my protector & partner but.. someone who'll also be my best friend.. i love to laugh, i love to know i've someone i can always count on.. i love passion, i love randomness, i love the unexpected ..
lastly - i'm a very laid back kind of girl - and its' not that i don't care.. i'm just not one to pry, i build a trust with friendship and once that trust is there, i am always 'there' but willing to give needed space ..
for a gal who said i didnt know what i want, i guess i do know some.. funny how that happens, lol.. ♥ anyway, great question!

Some good news today. I am going to have an MRI done on my shoulder. I found a doc in my network and co-pay is do-able. It's going on 4 weeks and I can't engage my shoulder so its pretty much halted my activities. This is a load off my mind.

I'm really glad you get to have this done!! Do you suspect a rota tor cuff tear? those are soooooo painful, treatable but ouch :(
he thinks its a tear, but he's not sure where or how bad. I just have to get it cleared up so the MRI will be a big help

I am so thankful for the weekend. I brought work home though. I'm glad I have this job, but the extra stuff to do at home is annoying.
As for this weeks topic, I'm not much on relationships at this point. Friends with benefits would work out better. Life gets so complicated and busy, maybe roommates with benefits would work out better.
Long distance is good in some ways. You can weed out the crazies from a safer distance. After a while everyone shows their true colors.

That is so true this woman contacted me from lesbian personals and we have yet to meet I doubt we will but the annoying thing is she keeps stringing me along like I haven't forgot about you and stuff like that. Then she sends little stupid emails with fw: halloween well I don't celebrate halloween I celebrate Jewish holidays that's all...so yes there are crazies out there and its good she lives like 2 hours away so I'm glad that nothing has happened because I think she is nuts!! going to try to bake muffins I think or pizza for tonight and soup for tomorrow..

Long distance definately has its good point of being able to see the person's true colors. There was one person who wanted me to pick up and move in with hym before even meeting!!!!
I moved to Atlanta because of someone. They were nothing like they presented. It was the second worst thing I've ever been through and at times I still reel from it. Never again.

I would move for someone only after we had spent alot of time together, not just 1 or 2 times

The passing of years have a way of bringing all kinds of physical aches and pains; and some of them just refuse to go away. For me it's a matter of acknowledging, accepting, doing what I can to lessen; and enjoying all the good stuff that is in my life and being open for the new joys that may come my way.
I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the weather here this weekend has been grand. Today I'm taking myself into town, and am looking forward to the sunshine and a slight breeze on my face while I read: and maybe having a chance to engage in conversation with an interesting person. Of course, having a meal at my friend Mounir's reataurant is a given. And he makes a damn good cup of coffee!
Hope you all have a great day too.
