Really now... I was hanging at truck stop right off i78 exit7 .

Going to make a picnic lunch for me and my lil dachsie, Heidi, and ride up above our place to watch the dolphins today at 100pm.
I got a pumpkin Saturday, and will carve it in a couple weeks, so it will last to Halloween!!! Mmmm is it ever a HOT design, too!!!! Actually a "naughty" one....smiles...

Actually when I was in the hospital the social worker assigned to me thought that I should go to a Rehab hospital, so did my mom and sister. When this was checked out, the Rehab hostpital didn't have any beds available. I didn't want to go though, one of the reasons is that I have 4 cats whom I love very much and they are my responsibility

Nope not to personal and very much appreciated. I go see my nerologist on Monday and will ask him about it. I totally forgot about HS. I used them years ago when I lived in Washington DC. I hurt my back due to a car accident. Thanks again!!

I have to pass a drug screen and background check but am expecting to start Monday 10/22 WOOHOO! I went to a women of color singles mingle last night... that was fun. Getting to know a nice woman... we shall see.
Thanks for all your well wishes, need all I can get right now.

Dr is sending me Monday for an ultrasound of my stomach and then tuesday he is doing an endoscopy. Hopefully we can finally figure out what the heck is wrong with my stomach. Going to try hard boiled eggs for lunch and see how that goes. I woke up this morning with a cold. A lot of kids in my class have it, but I usually don't get them. I haven't been able to take my vitamins the dr has me on to fight them soooo... here I am sick. I had acupuncture this morning and went to the last half of a rehearsal. Can't sing yet bc the stomach issues has left my vocal cords burnt. Using holistic stuff to heal them up. They should get better after they fix my stomach.

I was supposed to go to the Witches ball tonight (basically a holloween party in a small town) but it is outside. It is cold here today and I don't think that would be a good idea considering how I feel. Walking around in the cold doesn't sound appealing. Oh well, next year maybe I'll make it.

When I do a total clean out, I usually use Fantastic because it's antibacterial, but I seem to have ran out of it, so I mixed up Mr Clean and water in the bottle and spray it down (seems to work well, also antibacterial and smells good). Then I take paper towels, get the gunk out, spray them down again and wipe clean...........hard to keep up with all these rescues at times. And, at times, I seem to get lazy like they do, lol. Good thing I live alone when I know I'm having one of those days because if someone was to gripe at me after one of my really hard physical days at work, I'd probably bite back and tell them to do it, if they were bothered.

I may try this. Right now I use distilled vinegar. I used to use orange dish washing liquild but then I realized that cats don't like smels very much. I know what you mean about getting lazy. It sound like you have a bunch of cats, I just have 4 and they keep me busy.

I go to the doctors today and am hoping he can give me some insight to whats been going on with me. When I was in the hospital they wouldn't call him so I have alot to tell him. Well, ultrasound done. I wasn't expecting it to hurt, but it did. She couldn't tell me anything of course, but she spent a LOT of time on my right side. The endoscopy I am having tomorrow is done by my dr...so he may shed some light after that. Then I have a follow up on Nov 1. I hope the endoscopy shows what is exactly going on. I really don't want to wait till the 1st to figure it out.

Endoscopy at 6:15 am. oh my... that is early. YAWN!

Well, endo done. Dr said I have Gastritis (iflamation of the stomach lining). Says it's nothing to worry about but he did some biopsies anyway to make sure. Says I have a polyp on my vocal cords....big deal for me as a singer.... not sure I can sing until that is taken care of. Dr said to make an appt with an ent, which I did this morning. It's for the 5th. Will see the gi dr again on Nov 1 to get the results from all the tests. The ultrasound may have picked something up that didn't show on the endo. So for now, pretty much stuck in the same boat..can't eat, can't sing. Honestly, the not singing bothers me more at this point.

Well, at least I get a day off! Procedure was at 7:00 (had to be there by 6:15...yawn) and I was home by 8:30. Going to put my feet up and read a book with Bella curled up beside me. I love that dog!

Well, Ruthie, that was a few years ago. Ever so often, it does come back.
I know i ate too much licorice and i think peppers do not sit well. Feels a bit
like fireworks straight down the midline and outwards when i had the gastritis. Too bad i cannot recall more of what the irritants were or what was the causal relation to said pain...ugh. If i think of anything else...i will inform. I do believe that i would experience more pain during digestion if i would go for periods without eating prior to a meal. I am sorry if you have this often. It does hurt a bit. If i had it all of the time i would not be so nice.

PMT=premenstrual tension? I went from being a sanctimonious snit who was completely certain for 30 years that that anyone who blamed being their actions on being premenstrual was just making excuses, to someone who had to write myself a program that popped up a big red Danger! sign on my PC if my period was due within 8 days so that if I decided that day that someone deserved to die a slow tortuous death, maybe I could remember that it was probably me and not them.

Fortunately I survived 10 years of that without murdering anyone, but it wasn't pretty.

Oh yeah, gotta love that Chi town traffic...my record in chicago traffic is 6 and half HOURS to go 33 miles. It was raining. When it rains people cannot drive in chicago. They freak out. And when it snows they drive really fast.

Awwww, sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. My mom swears by Vicks Vapor Rub... I can't dispute it either. Put on the neck and chest( it is so much better when someone else does it for you!) and a dab under the nose. Warm up a damp towel in the microwave and then wrap it in a dry towel and put on your chest. Works wonders:)

Some neighbors not as lucky, but most of us luckier than those at the beach. Horrible... My Jersey shore will never be the same I'm afraid. So much distruction. Not sure if I will be able to go to see it come spring. Pretty sure it will take many years to bring it back. One of my concerns is that BIG companies will come in and buy from desperate ppl and what was cute, quaint beach homes will become huge hotels, or MCmansions. So sad, all those people out of homes. People in my chorus are collecting things for the shelters. There are a lot of retirement communities and a lot of these folks are at the shelters. They are in great need of toiletries, blankets, etc. The woman is taking the stuff down on Sat so I have to get the stuff to the church by tomorrow sometime.

its a awsome cold cold morning here in Dallas land......
keeping Mr Leonard in my thoughts while i was sleeping kept me nice and cozy warm all night :)
until i had to get up...... lol
when im able to i sleep with my truck turned off .. soo this morning was pretty chilly coming out from under the covers...

Good Morning everyone!! I hope everyone's day is starting off good. I haven't been in here to post for awhile but sometimes I still get weak and just pop in to read for a few then I'm gone again. Today, I go to the neuro to get the results of my nerve conduction test...I'm pretty anxious about it. Right now its a bit chilly by SC standards but I love it! It makes it feel more like fall. Guess you can take the Femme out of DC but you can never take DC out of the Femme!

the flower shop i go to is open. I can always call and work it i guess. Still, for

If not, that means, i will have to put it off until after thanksgiving...
Don't want to upset her...however, maybe this is best.

It's chilly in these parts, ice scraping in the mornings and a little sun by late afternoons, I really really do not like the time change, I like the sun and all that goes with it.....

Just turned 40 this past june. Never really had a love to call my own. Thinking maybe be time to start looking for love instead of just fun. I'm a little shy boy here though.:blink:

Someone that I have known and lusted for has come back into my life, gonna take a run at her and see what happens. We've known each other for several years now and have hooked up a few times and I could never get her off my mind comepletely.

So a second chance is in order, wish me luck.

Happy Sunday Lofters...

Get to sing for a Sandy Benefit this afternoon. So glad my voice is on the mend! We are going to close the show with everyone singing "You'll Never walk alone". I'm sure that will bring a lot of tears. I hope it is successful.... there is lots to be done and a lot of people without homes.
