* Looking back on 5 full months of The Planet. The support, generosity, and love overwhelms me on a daily basis. I am truly, truly grateful.

I had my first training session with my trainer and she likes me and I like her and we made each other laugh tons (Which is fine for her, but have you tried to weight train while laughing your hiney off? Not pretty!), and she loved her time with me so much, she was late for teaching her class. I feel loved in a "I like you, but I'm going to make you cry" kind of way. :blink:

The funk from the past two days has lifted and in time for my day and a half off! Woot!

I'm cleaing out my freezer tomorrow and seeing exactly what it is that I have. It will make for some interesting upcoming meals.

I was getting my glasses fixed, and walked out in the mall. Little did I know that I was about to be totally blown away by what I saw...some just adorable, sweet, lovebugs needing homes...sugar gliders! There was a rescue group in the mall trying to sell them. I could have scooped them all up and taken them all home. Of couse I had to sit and hold each one. We all had nice talks too. Getting back into a work routine;
cleaning off my desk;
no distractions like 4 hour long boardroom meetings with annoying, fussy, highly demanding, nasty coworkers;
all the yummy coffee I want fresh from my kitchen;
I can sit around in my PJs all day if I want;
I don't have to wear high heals or pantyhose! (pantyhose cuts off the circulation to my brain!);
my job is NOT high stress like the last one;
in between phone calls - I can play on the internet all I want and no fussy boss will fire me for it!;
I have TWO great Office Mascotts! (each with their own Tshirts sporting the office Logo);
I can get housework done at the same time (when working in the corporate world, I hardly had time for that);
No really noisy office with cold cubicles... just pretty spring birdies singing to me;
I don't have to clean up after Audrey's mistakes (hated that in the last job!);
.... my list goes on...
And my boss is WAY COOL!! The job is EASY!!
My office has a BEAUTIFUL view on this sunny day and I LOVE taking my dogs to work!!!!

What brought me joy today (or last night)...

Going to the local state fair with friends, and eating yummy food (everything you can think of on a stick).

Seeing a classmate of mine, that I haven't seen since we graduated high school 20 years ago. Her walking right up to me and saying, "Hey Tonya, remember me?!" She is still as adorable today as she was when we were kids.

Seeing old friends that I haven't seen in forever... and having my friends ask me, "Damn, do you know ever freakin' queer in Big Money?!". ;)

Dragging one of my friends to the petting zoo with me, buying two cups of feed and watching her smile in delight as they ate right out of her hands. Gotta love city girls :)

Buying my momma a funnel cake on our way out, and delivering it to her on my way home. She called this morning and told me that her & my dad finished it up with their morning coffee.

My boss has been nagging all week long about anything and everything. And I have been plotting on getting him back before I left for vacation.. So today on April Fool's I did it...

I know he loves his BMW more than anything in the world. So I hired a friend who is a wrecker to come tow his car out of the parking lot at work. When he got there I had the President of the Company run into our part of the building hollering to him his car is being towed! He ran outside and here come the rest of us behind him. We all stand there and watch as (unbeknowns to everyone but me and the President) my friend loads his car up on the wrecker. He tells my boss hey man we have an order for pick up because we havent received the last 4 pymts for your car. (untrue) Weve tried to reach you repeadetly regarding this matter.

My boss then asks him what number is he calling my friend the toq guy gives him his cell and the work number and his house number ( all of which I have given him prior to arriving) He says no frieking way its paid in full. There isnt a payment owed on it til next month. They argue back and forth and my friend drives off to the next parking lot. Drops it off unknowingly to him and everyone around. I sneak over there in lunch time and saran wrap his car with new tampons out of the box (we are always telling him he is on his period) Take shoe polish and drew on his drivers side window dead sexy and on passenger window just married ( since he never has had a long term relationship and he is almost 50) and on his back window I love __________ (insert company name) honk if you do too....

I drive back to work and am working. He calls me in his office and we go over his check book and have the car place on the phone and they are playing along as well... He is livid. He says what do I have to do to get my car back? Im gonna bring copies of my receipts of pymts for the last four pymts around 6 pm tonight. They tell him ok we will see you then. He is fuming cussing and generally pissy about the "loss of his car"....

I call my friend the tow guy. I let him know what time we are going to go to the dealership with all the receipts from his payments. He says ok.. So, He takes it to the dealership. We arrive receipts in hand to show them.... They approve him of course to pick up his car. Salesmen and office ladies walk out with us... As we walk back to the back he sees it all saran wrapped tampons, and written in shoe polish... And as he is frieking out I look at him and say APRIL FOOL"S FOOL :)

The things they have done to help me out and give me a safe home have really made me feel blessed that I answered their Craigslist add a couple years ago for their small apartment. I am so thankful that our paths crossed back then...

They really AMAZE me how generous, helpful and kind they are!! Every now and then, some truly wonderful and special people come into your lives... I've learned not to take any of my special friends for granted!!
