Diva..I have always wanted to learn how to do pottery. Once I buy my house, I plan on putting together a work area in the garage to do clay work. I don't throw pots.....I paint the greenware, then it's fired. So basically, I just paint designs on the pottery.....I've not been doing it very long.....Fall of 2003.....and I wouldn't consider myself a Master at all...it's just a hobby.....it's relaxing. Thanks for asking....<smile>

I got my package today! WEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! It was so much fun to open them up and lush over every single one of them! How creative you all are! I could "see" Logically's only thru my bifocals. If I tried to see it thru my regular vision lenses, it disappeared..lol. Everyone was so creative and each one was its own special treasure of passion!This was my first time at doing this and I am delighted and HOOKED> Now I cant wait for the Green One...I have some really great ideas that I hope I can put into dimension! I got my package yesterday ... I had to walk through 12.5 inches of snow to my mailbox at the end of the block to get it, but it was totally worth it!

I love it!!! I couldn't post yesterday because my power is out at home. I came into the office this afternoon to recharge my phone and camping lantern because we have no idea when the power will be back up and running.

It was 58 degrees inside my house when I left today!

Anyway, back to what's really important, thank you all so much!!! It was wonderful to open and "oh & ah" over.

Kewl ami, I'm hoping to get mine out tomorrow..or , They go on the plane to Orlando with me for the finishing touches.

Sherrie is at Newark airport, on her way to Orlando where I was to be an hour before she arrived so I could get the rental car, and pick her up.

as I write this, my flight to meet her in Orlando an hour before her has been canceled...I don't get out until tomorrow night. She gets there a day ahead, a day alone with Mom and Dad...I transferred the rental car into her name.

Then, she picks me up at Orlando airport Sunday AM at 5:30and takes me to her parents.:tango:
I am meeting her parents for the first time...on VALENTINE'S DAY after mucho years*

Okay penpals,
As Fate would l have it, :) I jetted to Orlando a day late after connections to Atlanta were canceled. At 5:30 Am I arrvived at baggage claim and watched the suitcases caravan around the metal conveyor until it stopped, the buzzer rang! My new Chaps Suitcase was not in site.

I went to Delta Baggage Counter and stood in line with chatting with 8 others. I was pleased to hear my suitcase had been found. It was safe but, at LAX, Los Angeles, CA. They promised to get it on the 10:30 AM flight and would deliver it to sherrie's parents and hour from Orlando.

I checked on line and noted it did not leave LAX until 3PM..

At 11PM, the driver with my suitcase arrived,.....the Muffifn, the sleeping doggie announcing his arrival and waking "The Parents" that go to bed like clockwork at 7PM.......


I have arrived into their lives,:balloon: baggage and all..:D:rrose:

Put it away and worked on the other site's craft (remind me not to do two at a time again..k?) then I did what I always do..procrastinated...which then translated into a problem when my back went out and the snow storm hit. I finished up the other site's...its ready to go out technically one business day late, on Monday(tomorrow) BUT... that gave me time to finish up this site's craft....

so I did what I always do..procrastinated...waited ...and then got busy..did two more of what I had planned for this session...

I opted to take green to mean not only the color (lots of green paper, ya'll!) but as in organic...natural. You'll find some handmade paper in most of the pieces. All in all, I give myself a :clap:

People will sign up. There is an absolute limit of 10 plus me, due to cost to me. (sorry) sign up will close March 7. You will also have to send me your address if I do not have it. (please assume I don’t have it) Please do not sign up if you don’t think you will be able to finish, usually these projects are just about one’s own time and $. This round involves my $, so I have a opinion!

After sign ups I will be sending those 1o people a package containing the exact same materials! I will mail them out March 9th.

Everyone will have 3 weeks to complete their project (more info below)
Everyone will then mail the completed project back to me with the $5.00. It should be post marked by March 31st.

I will then sort and mail the packages out within 3 days.

I thought it would be cool to send everyone the exact same materials and see what everyone does with them. I think that when it is all done, a lot of us are gonna look at what others did, and damn why didn’t I think of that LOL.

Here are the peramiders of the project:

everyone starts with their base card. It is black. You must use it. It is a triptyck card. (google it!) You CAN alter this card, but it must be your base. I gave you extra cards in case of mistakes and a template if needed.

you must use the materials included. You DO NOT have to use all of them. The materials are varied and can lend themselves to multiple directions.

You DO NOT have to make all your cards the same. You can, if you want, make them all different. If you want to make them for specific people, put their name on it.

The only materials you can use that are not included:
adhesives, glue, tape etc

pens, pencils, markers, pastels, charcoals, paints, watercolors, stenciling, and stamping

Don't stress. I see where Ami is going with this. The base card is black. We are free to use our own adhesives, glue, tape, pens, pencils, markers, pastels, charcoals, paints, watercolors, stenciling, and stamping stuff. I think she will include some other goodies for us to use, such as papers or cool things that we can use the stenciling or stamping on.

Also, gold and silver embossing looks FAB on a black surface. :thumbsup:

I am confused. We get one card...but there are 10 people. So do we make ONE card or TEN cards? Explain...I am not only an old woman I also suffer from dumbness....

I'm sure you are NOT dumb, softness. From the sound of it, we get one card but I'm not sure what kind of goodies Ami is going to be sending out to us either. Perhaps the card is to be divided/cut/etc by us...perhaps she'll give us segments...anything is possible! I don't know the entire plan, and I may be wrong in how I interpreted what she posted, but I'm sure Ami will be in here either late tonight after work or tomorrow morning to give us more details.

I suggest we all RELAX and take a few breaths. This is going to be a very unique round and I'm very excited about it! :cheesy:

We will be doing something different this round.

There is no theme

People will sign up. There is an absolute limit of 10 plus me, due to cost to me. (sorry) sign up will close March 7. You will also have to send me your address if I do not have it. (please assume I don’t have it) Please do not sign up if you don’t think you will be able to finish, usually these projects are just about one’s own time and $. This round involves my $, so I have a opinion!

After sign ups I will be sending those 1o people a package containing the exact same materials! I will mail them out March 9th.

Everyone will have 3 weeks to complete their project (more info below)
Everyone will then mail the completed project back to me with the $5.00. It should be post marked by March 31st.

I will then sort and mail the packages out within 3 days.


The project
I thought it would be cool to send everyone the exact same materials and see what everyone does with them. I think that when it is all done, a lot of us are gonna look at what others did, and damn why didn’t I think of that LOL.

Here are the peramiders of the project:

everyone starts with their base card. It is black. You must use it. It is a triptyck card. (google it!) You CAN alter this card, but it must be your base. I gave you extra cards in case of mistakes and a template if needed.

you must use the materials included. You DO NOT have to use all of them. The materials are varied and can lend themselves to multiple directions.

You DO NOT have to make all your cards the same. You can, if you want, make them all different. If you want to make them for specific people, put their name on it.

The only materials you can use that are not included:
adhesives, glue, tape etc

pens, pencils, markers, pastels, charcoals, paints, watercolors, stenciling, and stamping


To remind us of the fun we have ahead of us (with our multiple cards....I reread it)!

Time for the next round of fun.

I will be wrangling this one (my first)

We will be doing something different this round.

There is no theme

People will sign up. There is an absolute limit of 10 plus me, due to cost to me. (sorry) sign up will close March 7. You will also have to send me your address if I do not have it. (please assume I don’t have it) Please do not sign up if you don’t think you will be able to finish, usually these projects are just about one’s own time and $. This round involves my $, so I have a opinion!

After sign ups I will be sending those 1o people a package containing the exact same materials! I will mail them out March 9th.

Everyone will have 3 weeks to complete their project (more info below)
Everyone will then mail the completed project back to me with the $5.00. It should be post marked by March 31st.

I will then sort and mail the packages out within 3 days.


The project
I thought it would be cool to send everyone the exact same materials and see what everyone does with them. I think that when it is all done, a lot of us are gonna look at what others did, and damn why didn’t I think of that LOL.

Here are the peramiders of the project:

everyone starts with their base card. It is black. You must use it. It is a triptyck card. (google it!) You CAN alter this card, but it must be your base. I gave you extra cards in case of mistakes and a template if needed.

you must use the materials included. You DO NOT have to use all of them. The materials are varied and can lend themselves to multiple directions.

You DO NOT have to make all your cards the same. You can, if you want, make them all different. If you want to make them for specific people, put their name on it.

The only materials you can use that are not included:
adhesives, glue, tape etc

pens, pencils, markers, pastels, charcoals, paints, watercolors, stenciling, and stamping

My vision rarely matches my level of talent, but I hope that they turn out well.
