Good Morning Domn,

Thank you and I am not holding my breathe about the hotel job, the lady I had my second interview with, gave me the vibe like she didn't like me. The one thing that she kept bringing up was the fact that I had all of my retail experience and asked why I didn't go back to working at the hotels when I moved to Orlando from Daytona Beach. I explained to her, that when I moved to Orlando, I went to work as a student worker for the college, since I didn't know my way around. I am going to call the manager back for Teavana this afternoon and ask about my application and thank her.

well the interview i thought went ok....... they got all my info and have to do a back ground check and the DMV reports..... etc.
he said dont go quiting my job now.... cuz it will take a couple weeks or so..... and that they just put on some new drivers , whom are on a trial run , soooo ........
ha couple of them thought it was kinda funny cuz i went there in my panther truck.... lol .. I told them i was on my way out of town and made a pit stop for the interview .. lol They seem like it that i can go into canada... and that i had NO violations or accidents to report.
tomorrow im going to check out another job deal .. that goes thru a temp agency, i have some ?? for them .....
anyways........... its pouring on and off here..... my truck is going to be down for a few days. so guess i have some home time to spend here. yay.:tea:

CF ..... im applying for some local driving jobs, today im going down to talk to a temp place here that hires drivers for ?? id like to get more info from them. plus.... im thinking of checking out about training in shipping and recieving depts and getting info on that. I seriously want off the road. well at least long distance stuff. :)

a fellow lady Panther driver is in town and parked up the street, and snoozin at the moment. but in a lil bit im pickin her up and were going out for breakfast....... im taking her to a place here called Pano's... they have such awsome food there..... and great prices. I mean where else can i go and get steak and eggs for $6 .. :) lol ..... fresh and i do mean fresh squeezed OJ , unless i made it at home. .. this place use to be open 24 hrs .. but since they remodled there open late but not all night... i like taking friends visiting here for eats, cuz its NOT a chain and its a buffalo local place to eat.:) here's the link below, great great place. :)

That would be great if you could get a job close to home and not have to be on the road so much. I remember truck drivers that I talked to when I was doing their paperwork, telling me how much they missed home and wanted a job where they were't on the road all the time. Good Morning CF,

I never heard back from the Peabody Hotel, which like I told Domn, she kept bringing up all of my retail history and not looking at what my jobs were in the hotel industry. I used to do Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable for the hotel in Ocala and I worked seven weeks straight at the hotel in Daytona. I just don't understand why some people are afraid of giving you a chance. What most of these people don't realize, is that it will take me less than a week to learn a new computer system and that I am very persistent in my job. It goes back to what I have been saying all along, most managers are afraid that I might take their jobs and I am not the only one who is saying this.

Hey Sunny! Its good to see you...we just don't see you as often as we'd like. Yes, Cherry tree blossom's only last a few weeks or so. When I lived in DC there would be a big Cherry blossom festival to celebrate. People would come from all over the world. Unfortunately when the festival took place either the cherry blossoms either were gone or hadn't come out yet.
As for the cats, they woke me up at 5am because they were acting like they've never seen food in their life....now they are back sleeping.

Lol, he probably hasn't asked Dr. Sunny to help out. Athena, Matt's cat, was born in the parking lot at DeVry. He has had her for almost five years and she still is skiddish around new people. His cousin is in town this week, and whenever she is here, Athena won't come out of the bedroom. She is such a cute baby and she used to come lay in my room when I had a day off and sleep on my bed...Since I moved back to Orlando, I have been missing my mom's dogs. She is thinking of getting rid of her long haired White Chihuahua and if she does and I can take her, I will gladly pay the pet deposit to have her. I am just not sure how well Athena will take to her, lol.

I had to pay 250.00 for the pet deposit for my cats and nothing each month, some places at least around here, make you pay a monthly fee for your pet. How was your day? I went and took Violaine to the auto shop to get her car and as we were headed home, she noticed a guy walking down the street with a puppy on his shoulder who was hot. We both pulled our cars over and I gave the guy my bottle of water and Violaine took it down to him. The guy was very thankful to both of us.

Hmm..we are going to have to find a way to even that score. My day was good, I took Violaine to the auto shop to pick up her car; that wasn't fixed correctly. They gave her a rental car until the correct part could be ordered. i came home to everyone watching the tv show, "Prison Break" and I got a phone call for a job interview on Monday with Lane Bryant.

... I had a itchy rash from the heavy duty antibiotics i was taking..... it came up on my neck and around 1 eye....
soo i had gotten some benydryl.... but i cant take that and then drive..
soo i found a benadryl stick.... looks like a small bingo dabber... and i just put it on my rash areas on my neck....... it helps..
its been a few weeks and most the rash is gone.. but a couple smal areas are still there and itchy .. i dont know why its taking so long to go away...... i was suppose to drink a lot of water with them meds she gave me and well.... i did but then didnt.. wondering if that has something to do with it all....
i may call the doc in a bit and see if i can see her today or tomorrow about it

Lipstix, trying giving him some milk or tuna and see if that helps. I would call the vet and see what they suggest. I gave Athena a spoonful of tuna this morning and now she is licking her paws in content.

MS, have you tried taking a bath with oatmeal soap? Or try using something with pure honey in it. Both of those help with easing sensitive skin irritations. Good luck!!!

We asked her to split the check and she brought us two copies of the bill with the same amount on them. I was upset that NASA scrubbed the launch today. I came home with a semi bad sunburn on my shoulders and back and I took a two hour nap. I am supposed to go out tonight, but I think I am going to stay home. I hurt my foot this morning power walking and it hurts to bend it.

Good Afternoon Belle,

Our waitress was funny yesterday and we ended up leaving around 12:30. I got your voicemail this morning and I will try and call you back today. My sunburn is just on my left shoulder from driving home yesterday, lol. I wear a sports bra instead of a bathing suit top, and you can see where I had a tank top on over that. I took a cold shower yesterday when I got home and it helped with the sunburn, but my arm is still red like a lobster...You should see it..

doc visit...... well it went ok .. gave them about ahh 7 i think tubes of blood.. annnnnd .... got a perscrip for foot cream to apply to my rash on my neck :blink:..
today i been doing some spring cleaning... put a good dent in some long over due organizing ... and tomorrow will do a lil more.
oh and i made goulash for dinner.... :) its purty yummy with a lil cheese, and garnished with green choped oinons.
Zimms. a great thing for sun burn is some .. corona ointment .. takes the sting away fast.. :) :)

Hello everyone. Hope you all are having a good weekend so far. Mine has been productive. Today i noticed some neighborhood kids interest in something in the grass. I asked what they were looking at and was told, a blind squirrel. They said he was there yesterday in the same spot. I put him in a pet carrier and tossed in some shredded paper. Its a baby and only one eye is cloudy. So hopefully the other eye is ok. I gave him some peanuts and was relieved to see him eating them. I had to run to the pet store for a water bottle and to see what other food they might have to feed him. He's in the basement now. If anyone has any information to share on caring for him, I'd appreciate it. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

i had a very long post composed earlier, and just came back to check about the squirrel- only to find my above post lacking in information!

we kept squirrels in a warm room where we could keep an eye on them. mainly, you will want to make sure the squirrel does not feel cold to the touch; place an old dish towel or t-shirt in with him. it would be ideal if he had a habitat similar to what is natural to wild squirrels; they are typically very active [understatement], and need branches upon which to hang, climb, and chew. pine cones and oak leaves are a good idea if you can find some.

their diet in the wild does not consist soley of peanuts and/or acorns- in fact, too many of these throw the calcium/phosphorus ratio off nutritional track, contribute to MBD [metabolic bone disease]. they like to eat leafy green plants, bird eggs, insects, et c. during my work on a state permit with the DNR in indiana, the formula we fed young - teen squirrels was a mixture we syringe fed warm, and it takes a few attemps to get the technique down- some are harder to feed than others. the chow was primate food. they take the aforementioned along with other foods to compliment their diet as close to living in the wild [before being released]. your squirrel may not be able to return to the wild, and so it's a good idea to discuss options with an expert in the field.

very important = he or she will need to keep hydrated, and it's easy enough to check by lightly pinching skin on the back of his/her neck or else on his back. squirrels have very sharp teeth and nails. they can cause serious damage to delicate human skin.

i cannot place enough emphasis on locating a wildlife rehabilitator in your area. a lot of times, people who work with squirrels also rehab rabbits so make sure to check this on the net also. i may have left off some things, as i am writing this for the second time and it's getting late. hopefully the link i sent to you will be of some help.

Good morning singles, everyone.i have had an awsome week with friends and family that came down for the bike run here but im kinda glad its done. everyone is heading home in a couple hours. i had a stray dog come in my front door last night. she was very skinny and has an eye infection. she a beautiful buff cocker puppy that hasnt been taken care of. my dog "karma" even let her eat from his bowl guess he knew she needed help. turns out someone droped her over the fence at my neibors then he let her out to roam. not sure if ill keep her but i will make sure she gets cared for.

Good morning singles, everyone.i have had an awsome week with friends and family that came down for the bike run here but im kinda glad its done. everyone is heading home in a couple hours. i had a stray dog come in my front door last night. she was very skinny and has an eye infection. she a beautiful buff cocker puppy that hasnt been taken care of. my dog "karma" even let her eat from his bowl guess he knew she needed help. turns out someone droped her over the fence at my neibors then he let her out to roam. not sure if ill keep her but i will make sure she gets cared for.

My interview with Lane Bryant went well. The manager had us a do group interview and one of the girls was trying way to hard to get the job. My interview with BestBuy was scheduled for the wrong day, lol. The recruiter called me and told me about the mixup. My interview is now scheduled for next Monday, May 9th at 1:30.

I learned how to create websites using Visual Studio.NET with Java and Macromedia. Talk about a headache if the code was wrong.

Thank you Belle. I never had any intentions of keeping him as a pet. It would have been nice though to have him stay in the neighborhood. But with vision in only one eye maybe, he would be much better off living in a wildlife sanctuary or being rehabbed and released back into the wild. Just not around my area...too much traffic for a blind squirrel. Thanks again.

She said she liked my experience as a store manager and how easy it would be for her to train me...The store is is a five minute walk from my apartment and it is only part time, but I was like that is fine.

CF, try applying for jobs at CVS.com. They had it on their sign stating that they are hiring.

I am off to do some more leg work and apply for jobs.

The manager for CVS didn't flinch when she saw my work experience, instead she said she loved it. The job is only part time, but you can work at other store's until you hit 40 hours a week. The manager kept saying, I can train you in under three days. I have a job interview on MOnday with BestBuy and I am hoping to get both jobs.

I feel like I have that same sign on my forehead. I have been dating off and on for the last few years, in part to taking care of my dad for ten years. Sometimes, when I start talking to someone and they find this out, they back off real quick and I don't understand why. That is why sometimes I am happy being single.

I just had dinner at Olive Garden in celebration of getting a job and I had a butch for my waiter!!! She was fine and single and funny as he'll! Her and I started talking about our iPhones and how we both had the same ring tone!

I would definitely hang out with her!

Good Morning Everyone,

I had a very busy and exhausting day yesterday. I spent almost four hours at the Peabody Hotel, filling out paperwork and doing an onsite drug test. I picked up a nice Ann Taylor Loft suit jacket at the Goodwill for $5.85 with tax and then hit the Outlet Mall lastnight. I picked up a nice pair of 9-2-5 Silver Technology heels from Kenneth Cole for $40 and two pairs of pants for $24 each. We can wear dresses and skirts there, as long as we have pantyhose on. I love going shopping when there is a sale! I also found out, that both Follett and Crabtree require another company to call a 1-800 number to verify your employment and there is a charge for this information. Maybe that is why I was having such a hard time finding a job? I have to go back to the Peabody this morning and give them copies of my W-2's for both of these companies, so I can go to Orientation on Monday.

what a wonderful night..went to the wake...cried.....had a few beers at the bar.....then went to our park downtown for Africa in the Ozarks...I hula hooped for over an hour with my friends kids and had a blast.....cant feel my ass or my sides right now but had a great nite...Tommorrow we have drumming in the park and I will be drumming for 2 hours...I totally needed this!!!! grin
