Good Morning Everyone! I hope all the mom's here had a wonderful Mothers Day. I'm a mom to 4 kitties and my sister sent me a card from them. To celebrate Mothers Day, my mom and I went to my sister and her familys' house for dinner. After dinner everyone went on a boat ride except for me and my nephew, we went on the Jet Ski. When he started going really fast, I knew it was time to get on the boat with everyone else lol

I had a wonderful day yesterday and I went down to the pool and laid out for half an hour. I have my job interview today at 1:30 with BestBuy, and I am hoping to get that job and keep it as part time. I need to take my new Kenneth Cole pants to Macy's and have them hemmed up.

Then i came home and mowed the front and back yards...and it's only a little past 10. Good Morning Everyone,

How about we talk about tattoos? When I was in my 20's, the one tattoo I wanted and I would still like to get, is of the Nine Inch Nails logo with black roses encircling it and having a vine of black roses climbing up the *I* and pricking it and causing it to release a drop of blood. The other one I thougth about getting is of a Katana sword going down my hip to my knee, with fire and snakes encircling it.. When I lived in Seattle last year, I talked to a tattoo artist who was going to do it for me.

I had my job interview with BestBuy yesterday and I passed it. I know have a second interview on Friday with the general manager and if I get the job, I am not sure what to do about the Peabody Hotel. I am thinking of going part time there and full time at BestBuy....Decisions suck!

Helllloooo singleters. I may be single, but at least i pulled last weekend. It was during NUS LGBT conference - which is a hotbed of sexualiciousness - and I got some of that with a fucking sexy rainbow-mohawked queer. Now if I could make that translate beyond a situation that is renowned for fucking, aka the rest of my life. That would be great.
They also held my hand on our way from the hotel to conference floor... which was unexpected and really nice... i really crave that kind of thing so much.

Maybe it is because I have no patience and cannot imagine having to wait until I am 40 or 50 years old to find my partner. I mean, I guess that is okay. I will wait as long as I have to, but I see other people falling in love and settling down and I can't help but want that for myself. So, person for me, I will you to come into my life. Welcome to the thread, Fever! I have been single since February of last year, and I am kind of enjoying it. There are times when I do wish that I had a partner in my life and right now, I don't think that is what fate has in the cards for me. I am trying to get my life back together and getting back on my feet financially. Maybe in a few months, I might find someone, but I am not sure.

CF, Matt would freak out if he knew I was giving Athena little nibbles of milk when he isn't home. :blink: She is such a sweet cat and still likes to run into my old bedtroom here in the apartment and go to sleep.

CF... thanks honey. It's been raining here and it REALLY affects my moods. Makes things worse for me. It is so hard when most of your friends keep telling you just go out and have sex. It's just not me. There is one friend in particular that has been insistant. She is not single and wishes she was. I think I need to pull back from her for a while. A real friend doesn't make you feel bad for who you are.

Let's see, went to brunch and despite having strep throat my ex DID show up with her bff in tow. The brunch is 12 something but bc other ppl order drinks (I didn't realize) it cost 23.. hmmmmm thinking I need to ask for my own check.

Went home to ice my back bc it was hurting .. then got my hair cut. Came home had a drink.. Mom and her bf making me a little crazy so I had ANOTHER drink. lol Now I am making myself a late dinner. Italian sweet sausage with onions, garlic, tomatoes, spices, portabella mushrooms, kalamata olives over rice pasta and topped with Parmasean cheese. Should be good.. I love to experiment!

Yesterday a neighbor who is moving sold me a fig tree for 5 dollars and threw in a citrus tree. I asked him what kind of citrus tree was it.. He said "Ina abouta fivea years, you willa know!" hehehe nice older gentlemen... lol. Will plant them later this week! The fig tree should fruit next year. He wasn't sure what color the figs were .. He said "they may be-a white, or-a purple or-a brown ... you willa know nexta year!" Adorable!

The training manager took us on a tour of the hotel today. Thank goodness, I had my flats in my tote. I came home and had dinner and before I knew it, I was asleep on the couch.

Moring singles... so exhausted.. I fell asleep around 9:30 on the couch with heating pad on my back and ice on my neck. Went to bed at 11 and now I am ready for work but all I want to do is go back to bed. I hope I'm not getting sick.

My bad director is going to do my evaluations today. She is suppose to do one a month and hasn't done them for about 5. The last one she did she lied on. I need a vacation... can't afford one... I definately need a new job.. but I am having trouble finding one. Poop!!!

thats what i did, i woke up a few times this morning only to go back to sleep. the first time was when my cats woke me up around 6am. i fed them, turned on my coffee maker, had a few sips of coffee then said "forget it, i'm going back to bed" then the next time, my cell phone woke me up...finally I decided to just stay up

It was such a gorgeous day, that I didn't roll the windows up on my car. It was 94 degrees yesterday and humid. I took the escalator upstairs and started to walk outside, when all of a sudden, the rain came down...Needless to say, I made a quick trip to IKEA and bought some towels so I could drive home...I felt goofy! :|:koolaid:

I have to do the same thing Cuddly ... I would tan eventually, but I worry so much about burning (skin cancer runs in my family) that I don't get to that point. So watch out world, when I'm wearing shorts/skirts/dresses you are going to need sunglasses for the eyes!! :sunglass:

No. That's why im here. The nurse just cleaned the wound and I have 2 punctures. They want to do an xray for foreign bodies. Thank goodness I have this phone to entertain me

I'm feeling pretty good. I did notice though that I have 2 punctures on my leg just below my butt. I didn't know they were there until they started to get sore. They're nowhere as deep as the 2 on the bottom of my foot tho'. I guess after I stepped on the board, I went down onto my side and caught 2 more nails there. It all happened so fast. One thing I do remember is the feeling of the nails sliding out of my foot as I pulled away from the board. I'm good though. Hobbling a little but still getting around when I need to.

I will be spending Thursday with my mom, after I go to my job interview with Universal Studios. My oldest niece and nephew are down for the summer, so it's going to be nice to see them again. Elusive, I remember a time when I'd move for love (quickly) but I got burned a few times so I'm very slow at it then I take in things that I need like how good is public transportation (i don't drive), what is the job situation like there etc...... Where do you live?
I'm going to be spending my afternoon by the pool, I've been trying really hard to get a tan but my skin doesn't seem to want to tan

Hope you are feeling better! It has been hard for me the last few days; May 21st was the ninth anniversary of my dad passing and May 25th, was the day we buried him. The pain of losing him has eased some, but it is still hard.

I am enjoying my new job and have you looked into working at the hotels? It is a lot of fun and it changes every day.

Hey Cody! I didn't know you went to Vegas! :) I'm leaving in about an hour to make the trip myself! Well, actually, I'm headed to Laughlin first to play in a ladies tournament, THEN on to Vegas for 3 days :)

Hi Clay! The buses here have bike racks on the front too. It wasn't strange for me when I first saw it because I'm from the DC area (have only lives in SC for a year) and there were bike racks and all sorts of stuff on the buses and subways.
Looking at the sky, it may not be a good pool day but if its not raining by noon, I'll definately be at the pool. Sometimes I take my friends' 10 year old with me since he's too young to go by himself.

Thank you! I saw an ad in the newspaper for the hotel I applied at. When I lived in Daytona Beach, I worked for a Best Western and a Quality Inn & Suites. Can you PM what part of SC you live in and I will see what hotels are in your area?

At present, I'm doing one to compare and contrast the American Psychological Association and the National Association of Social Workers. The other is on personal writing style compared with the styles of two authors. Finally, another one on White Privilege. Plus I have to study for an abnormal psych test on Tuesday. Gonna be a busy weekend. lol

I spent alot of the evening talking to my niece on the phone about different collages....its hard to believe this kid whose diapers I changed is now trying to decide which colleges to apply to! Yesterday I was going to go to the pool but the temp was too cool to go...maybe today the temp will cooperate with me.

thanks, i enjoyed the adventure even though it revolved around the disturbing event. Sounds like you'll be doing some laundry today. I need to finish weeding the lawn. I had to stop yesterday because the extension cord started smelling like an electrical fire. After unplugging I noticed it was melting around the prongs. Picked up a new cord this morning so I'm good to go. Try to enjoy some of the day Dixie. You know what they say about all work and no play.....

Tell her to become Microsoft Office certified and that will give her a pay raise. Hotels are fun to work at. The first hotel I worked at, we could call into the elevators. One night when I was doing the overnight shift, this drunk guest called us and would cuss us out. The security guard who was working with me, noticed the guest getting into the elevator. I called into the elevator and asked if I was calling Pizza Hut. The guest looked around the elevator, and I asked him if his name was John. Needless to say, the drunk guest got off of the elevator and never called us back. Me and the security guard cracked up laughing until both of us had to use the restroom. This is why I avoid caffeine after 8pm. I become mischevious!:blink::phonegab:

We used to do some crazy stuff on the overnight shift. I had a guest one night, toss a firecracker under a bus; had one bring his pitbull into the hotel room and lock it on the balcony, the dog tried attacking the people in the next room and my security guard; had a guest cuss me out because the cops towed his car during Turkey Rod Run; had a female guest threaten to kick my butt, so I told my manager, either he got the girl away from me, or I was going to take her right out into the middle of A1A and kick her butt in my skirt and heels; and so many more. I could have you cracking up with the stuff that we used to do.
