I spent the majority of Saturday at my niece's birthday party and did we have fun! I still cannot believe she is five years old! She loved all of her presents and she took a few presents back to my mom's house including the Hello Kitty Messenger Bag that I bought her. I also found out that my middle brother is getting married in January and I am stoked. His girlfriend has two daughters herself and loves my niece to death and I am happy that he found someone who kicks his ass when he needs it...

I am not going to be doing much today other than relaxing and typing up the meeting notes from our Alumni meeting.

I just finished my Birthday weekend. It turned out to be better then I expected.
My original plan was to go to AC alone have dinner and do a little gambling.
Instead I got to have a great time with a good Butch friend, we gambled, he treated me to a very nice dinner. We were viewing the girls that all had the same dress on. Very short up to thier nether regions. They all had the same dress. I guess this is the style now.
The following day we had the buffet breakfast and did more gambling.
Then off to NYC to dinner with seven of my best friends.
It turned out to be one of the best Birthdays ever.


So today I have a sore throat. Too much partying I guess. LOL :seeingstars:

I had to take poor bella to the vet hospital last night. Throwing up and bleeding from her hiney. Dr thinks its all from the stress of a new home. We are her 3rd or 4th in her 1 year of life. They gave her antibiotics , something for nausa and iv fluids. She seems much better this morning. Ate all of her chicken and rice. Took her foul tasting medicine like a champ. Now she put herself in her crate and went back to sleep. I am off to work. My mom will be home to day around 10 or so and will make sure she is ok during the day. Relaxing a little and now off to work.

Cody, I found that Peroxyl works well with helping tooth pain. It is an antibiotic mouthwash that you can pick up at the grocery store. Get to feeling better! It sounds like your truck is coming along and nice to..Karma would be so proud of the new truck.

Cody I had to deal with bad teeth for years I feel you. What worked really good for me was clove oil. You can get it at the health store. You dont need much. Just put a bit on a q-tip and rub it on the tooth. It has natural antiseptic values and numbs it a bit too. Good luck

They call them subs or sandwiches I suppose here. Oklahoma is more known or apt to have BBQ places or catfish joints not Mom and Pop sub places. I remember in NJ each town had at least 2 Mom and Pop hoagie places and people always argued which one was better. Here its just the chain types like Quiznos and Subway(which I have been boycotting for awhile).
When I was a kid growing up in NH my Mother called them grinders...I have slipped and said this here and well..lets just say its another reason for them to say.....ahhh yes thought you were a Yankee lol

It's still Thursday here. And Thursday is my Friday, because I work Sunday-Thursday, so......helloooooo weekend!!!! Yay!!!!

Hope everyone has had a good week. It has been a crazy week at the library and I am seriously ready for the weekend. I know most people think it can't possibly be too crazy at a library, but....it really is sometimes. In the last 4 days, I've had to call the police three times, break up a fight, deal with several irate people, call the plumber for three separate problems, file a workers' comp claim, and (good news) hire two new people. And my computer was down twice. Phew. And I love my job!

I need some chocolate. :chocolate:

Ok,every one move over so I can pull up a chair. Hey,how is everyone? I wasn't getting notices from here so I didn't think things was still going on here. I've been sick and in need of a kidney. My kidneys are only working about 24% they have diped down as far as 14 % and at 10% they will not substane life. I need a trans plant. The funny part is every budy seems to think you have to be dead in order to be a doner,but you don't. Only has to have same blood typ I have. I don't know my typ yet. I have a lot of testing to be done,to see if my heart and lungs will take the surgery. Also,if I have a live doner,that might be a plus when,it comes to my health Ins to pay for it. If not then,I can't have the surgery. I have emailed Kidney foundasion and they tell me to email this othere place,I do and they tell me to email this place. I hate getting the run around when it comes to my life.
Any ways I'm glad this room is still open.I wanted to stop by and say hello and wish all well. blueeyes226_l

I'm sorry to hear bout UR health issue. I have a friend in his early 30's that's going thru the same thing! I would PROUDLY be a donor if there was ANYWAY I could. Unfortunately I can't. My lupus has already attacked my left kidney before so although I still have use of it, it's not great :(. I wish u the absolute best of wishes.
Btw advertise on fb! He had alot of responses when he did :) Just an idea ;)

Good Morning all...although it's my time to go to sleep soon. Had an ever soooo long night at work. One of the guys I work with( I work with mentally challenged adults) who has bronchitis and just happens to be almost non verbal got worse during the night. Had to give him breathing treatments and it's just so scary when he can't really verbalize how bad he feels. I made a judgement call and called for back up to take him to the ER. Last I heard they had him on O2, a saline drip and were waiting to get x-rays. I didnt think it was a extreme emergency...just afraid with all his coughing/congestion/rattling that it might have progressed to pneumonia. Anyways....trying to relax so I can get some sleep to get ready for work tonight.

I hope everyone enjoys their day, it's an absolutely beautiful fall day here.

Hey Sunny, CarnEVIL is a fundraiser that I created, coordinate, manage, set-up, work and stress. It is help annually at my local BDSM club. The games and attractions are those that you would find at an old-style carnival but with a BDSM/kink twist to them. This year, the proceeds will go to the NCSF since they look out for "all of us in alternative lifestyles." It is a huge undertaking but fun as Hell. October 14. Door opens at 7. There are several games & attractions, 3 costume contests, and a kissing booth!!! Plus, to make it more fun there is a contest among the "kissers" to see who can raise the most money. BUT, they only get to work 15 minutes to do it. You know me, I can't make it too easy for them now can I? So, since their time is limited, they are planning to turn up the appeal with cleavage & skimpy outfits ;)

And I have created a new game that is super secret-no details have been revealed to anyone who does not have to know.

PLUS, we are giving away yummy prizes-as usual. A dragontail, some rattan bundles, a metal switch, passes to TRC and passes to the Mark in Nashville.

It is going to be Hellacious fun. I hope you can make it!

Yes, same place that we met-lol. The CarnEVIL will end sometime between 10 and 11 so that we do not take over the entire dungeon for the whole night.

I am not sure about ATL peeps. We have had A LOT of visitors from other states lately but with it being a Friday it makes it hard for the out-of-towners to make it.

At the moment, I am good on help. We are setting up this Saturday but it is probably not anything you are allowed to do post-op. Although, it is the rare chance to see me sans ultra femme mode. Feel free to come hang out if you want. You will not believe what the place looks like once we transform it!

It looks like the reunion isn't going to be in my future this year. I received a copy of my schedule lastnight at work and my boss scheduled me for Tuesday night. She had to decline my request for that day off, but approved the rest of my time off. Back in August, she had approved everything, but now, she changed it. Since I was riding up with Ms. Snow and she is leaving on Monday night, I am not sure if I can catch a ride with someone. This just completely bums me out, because I was really looking forward to going!

I need a vacation from planning my trip to the reunion...

Good Morning and Happy Saturday everyone! Today I'm going to be doing stuff around the house that I should have done the other day. I'm sure a Saturday nap will be in my future.

I have the day off since I worked some yesterday. The local shelter I volunteer for is having an adoption event and pet blessing at the Episcopal church in town. If the weather holds I will go down there and give them a hand. Need to go to the library as well. Just finished The Eighty Dollar Champion...what a great book. If you are an animal lover(especially horses) and always route for the underdog its a must read.

Just got back from the Animal Blessings. I did take Gouda with me (she doesnt play well with others). The Pastor she was so nice and offered to bless Gouda before the others arrived. She gave every dog that came a little bag. Each bag had a little St Francis pendent to put on their collars, a pet blessing card with a nice prayer and dog treats. I was glad I went it was fun.

The picture is of this sweet dog named Star that has been at the shelter for a very long time. I think I will request to walk her around at our big adoption event next saturday " Bark In The Park ". Star was so well behaved with all the animals and people..I cant believe she hasnt been adopted yet.

The Animal Blessing sounds wonderful. I wish we had something like that here although, am not sure my cats would like to get into their carriers to go.

Star is adorable!!! I hope she finds her forever family soon. My cat, Goldie was at the shelter for a long time....people seem to only want kittens and not adult cats. I'm guessing the same goes for dogs

A. I soooooo wish I was going to the reunion!! I could use a very long dose of butch/femme friends that I have made here.

B. Remember the woman that broke up with me in January? The one who left me vulnerable and in physical pain from a migraine because it reminded her too much of her ex? The one who broke my heart and left me devatstated? I think I wrote on this thread that we had become friends but that recently she was acting more friendly. Using her pet name for me etc. Well Sat she asked me if I would give it another chance. I told her, kindly, no because the things that broke us up were still in place and not likely to change. She was upset and she cried. I held her. It was really hard... but she has proven to be unreliable and I need someone I can count on. I feel badly that I upset her... I feel bad that she cried...

Hope everyone is having a happy Tuesday. I can't help thinking that today is Monday. We were closed yesterday for Columbus Day, so while I am thankful for the short work week, I will be confused about the day of the week for the next few days! LOL Just can't shake that Monday feeling!

This weekend a bunch of So Cal people from BFP got together, and it was so much fun! It was so great to meet new people and have some laughs. We had a bonfire on the beach, then some of us went to a bar afterward. I must confess, I was quite the wild woman toward the end of the evening. I kissed the baby butch bouncer (on the neck), just because it felt like the right thing to do.....after 5 martinis. Ahem. Or maybe 6 or 7. I also met a very nice drag king. I have no idea what I might have said or done to hym, but later I found a piece of paper in my bra. Oh my!

And people think librarians are quiet and boring. HA!!!
