Thanks Sue, I've only been out there looking for a couple of months now, I'd taken a hiatus for a few years, and it is time for me to be with someone again. I'm not just looking for anyone, it will have to be a very special person. I can tell quickly if a person is someone with a connection, not just romantically, in any way. And to me..."putting" myself out there (with chances of being hurt or used) is better than hiding away, keeping my guard up, and not meeting new people with new ideas. I have learned something from just about everyone, even if it's just a reminder of why I don't like a certain thing. And I can't say I've ever really attracted the "wrong" people. There's always a reason, season or a lifetime as they say. Sometimes it's a learning experience I need, sometimes it is something I can help the other person with, and they don't even know it. And thank you for putting yourself out there and try to protect me in some kind way by sharing with me your feelings. Of course I've been hurt a lot (like everyone else), but someday, there is going to be that person who will make those hurts worth it.

I'm single, I'm femme, I'm a pre-senior (lol), and I'm looking to meet that last first kiss. I'm in Maine, hoping to move south by winter. I'm looking at TX, but if I should meet someone that really clicks, then I would go there, nothing is written in stone, and that really isn't why I'm here. I'm just looking for a butch to call my own. I'm not perfect and neither will s/he. I was talking to someone that lives in Ballinasloe, County Galway, Ireland. She was five hours ahead of me, and we rarely talked. We decided to be friends and I love telling people about my friend in Ireland. My mom is half Irish and half German. I love meeting people from every corner of America and the World. International relationships are very hard to maintain, so I would choose someone who lives here in the US.

I love to travel and most of my friends will tell you that, I love the Mid West and the North East of the US. I have lived in Ann Arbor and Flint, Michigan; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and the Boston area.

But I also love the people of the South. I was born and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida until I was 15 years old; when I moved to Flint.

I moved to the Seattle, WA area to be with someone. After three weeks, I got on a plane headed back to Florida. Unfortunately, I would not do it again. I lost a good job in the process and it was a learning experience.

Can't say that I have ever moved ,but had one lady move from Oregon to be with me in Tn. We were together for 5 yrs. till she decided to move back closer to her family when her health started failing. We still keep in contact too.Come to think of it she has a birthday coming up in June.

I'm not Zimmeh, of course, but I can tell you one thing that I will miss when I move away: the changing of the seasons. As pesky as those leaves are, clogging up gutters and putting hours on the leaf blower, I love seeing the reds, oranges and yellows mix with the green leaves hanging on. I could do without winter, honestly, but what I think I will miss most is a true fall and all of the colors and beauty it brings.

I'm probably staying home and recovering from my International trip. I came back with the flu :-( and was out of it for a couple days. I fly back East Monday.
Nothing planned this weekend other than laundry and errands. How about everyone else (I live vicariously through you all when I can).

It has been a very rmotional week for me. Everyday, I find out that my friends have lost people in that tragedy. A store out in California setup a tribute to the partner who passed away.

Tomorrow, I am going to have a late breakfast with my cousin and aunt. I haven't seen either one in over 26 years. I am nervous but happy!

I made plans to visit my old friends in Orlando today. I was supposed to pick my nephew up from the airport, but he got hurt and couldn't get on the plane. I had a good time seeing my friends and keeping my plans for the day. I bought myself a very cute Florida themed Starbucks cold cup. I also stopped by my favorite store! I picked up two tubes of L'Occitane en Provence's shea butter hand cream and two tins of rose scented shea butter balm.

I also stopped by the Pulse Nightclub to pay my respects to our 49 family members who lost their lives. My former coworker is sending me a Starbucks Pride Pin so I can show my respect for my former community.

Last week I tried to put in a window air conditioner by myself. I dropped the whole thing out the window.
Got it back in the window but can't figure out how to put screws made for wood into a metal window. Lol
So I just put them into the wood part of the window frame in the wrong place but at least it hasn't fallen again.

Last week I tried to put in a window air conditioner by myself. I dropped the whole thing out the window.
Got it back in the window but can't figure out how to put screws made for wood into a metal window. Lol
So I just put them into the wood part of the window frame in the wrong place but at least it hasn't fallen again.
Someone needs to start a "Rent a Butch" business, if you ask me. Lol

Happy Friday Singles! It's another short weekend for me since I fly out early Sunday morning. After the first half of the week at work, I will be headed to Toronto to audit a supplier. The great news is that Salty and I will be able to enjoy a weekend in Canada before I fly home. Lucky me!

I had such a busy day socially, I neglected to make Friday night plans. Feels weird as this is the first Friday night in many, many, moons I am completely by myself. A decent storm is rolling in. I am going to go enjoy that for a while!

I, too, am headed to Toronto for work this week, but leave for home by Thursday. Figures! Maybe, Mel, you can light a fire under the Toronto BF folk to host an event soon! lol

Sometimes feeling single is good, sometimes it's bad. I'm on the good slope since I head to Toronto TOMORROW to hang out with my buddy. Single with friends is feeling pretty good at the moment. I usually have to force myself to get out and socialize so this is a welcomed exception.

I officially started working at yhe nursing home on Friday. Today, I am submitting my letter of resignation to Starbucks. I am feeling like a lot of pressure has been released from my shoulders. I cried yesterday, tears of happiness and nervousness. I woke up this morning feeling better and I have six shifts left.

I have been trying to give rep to some posts
For the past few days. It says I did, but it doesn't show that I have.
Are we able to see the rep we give? If so, I can't.
I know there is a space for this, but I'm too annoyed to look for it lol.

Once you rep a post, that's it. You can only see the reps that people have sent you, not what you send out. Now, if you send visitor messages or private messages, you can see what you sent.

There is one cool trick that not too many people know about - which is you can see old rep notes that you have received on a post even after they scroll off your User CP. If you go to an old post of yours and click on the Rep icon (like you were going to leave yourself a rep note - fortunately the system doesn't allow you to talk to yourself) a little window will pop up and show the Thanks and old rep notes. That's so weird. Yeah, I don't have a rep note from you. To leave a rep note you just click on the little scale icon, type in the blank box and then click on the Add to Reputation box. Don't know why it wouldn't work for you.

The 'thanks' button is different than the rep button. Bully mentioned where the rep button is and I didn't know about the old reps, so thanks for that note!

One note for you is if you are going to leave a rep note AND thank the post publicly too, do the rep note first and then thanks. If you thank the post first, you won't be allowed to leave a rep note. Then you'd have to unthank the post, leave the rep note and than re-thank the post. Confused yet?

Further east... along I-95 in a small city called Roanoke Rapids. Largest population in that area, but it's certainly not saying much. LOL! Many traveling NY <-> FL stop there for gas, food, hotels, or shopping, and then go on their merry way. :)

I lived a few years in the RDU area though. Loved it, but hate the traffic!

I do get out for Meet-up times, i join the Lakeland shooters (photo meet up group) and mid Fla met up - they do movies, diner, and kayaking..and next week will be pottery i think at Pikazos(sp).
