Good Morning Clay,

I woke up around 9:15am. The girl who was sitting next to me, couldn't stop laughing at me. I am sitting here having my first cup of coffee and watching, "Ancient Aliens" on NetFlix. I thought I would send you a text to let you know that I was leaving and that security escorted me out to my car.

I am going to finish washing clothes and maybe lay back down.

I have been licking wounds from a relationship that left me totally confused and thinking I had no idea how to be in one. Have a great day....wonderful peeps here....while I didn't have a bad relationship, at all...we had 15 wonderful years...and I lost her to Cancer , two and a half years ago....I DID have my own pain, grief, and healing process...which a wounded heart is a wounded heart...no matter how it got that way....the pain is there! Anyway I am now ready to have a love of my own again. It is very hard in the dating world...so much has changed......and communication is seemingly so non personal, what with technology of today. I miss the face to face or person to person talking....the getting to know one another, talking, talking, and talking, dating and courtship aspect of it. I am an OFOS butch lesbian! (manners, respect, courtesy, etc..I am sure you get the picture...).. Point is.....I am a greta listener if you ever need to chat....sometimes someone who isn't on the "inside" can see things more clearly! Good morning singles. its to hot around here guess it will be for a few weeks. i think ill spend more time at the river and the casinos its just a bit cooler =by the water and alot cooler in the casinos!! who knows i might even win! but the drinks,the shows and the food are always good then takin the fairy up and down the river to other casinos is fun too.. thinkin thats going to be my spot this summer.
my project truck in coming along fine ive had 3 offer from guys that want to buy her.. im like no way! sheeez i just found her. lol though i did forget to put a part back on yesterday and went to test drive her .. ended up pushing her back in the drive.. huh.. just a mistake on my part.

The only "vacation" was when I went to DC a few months ago and that really wasn't a vacation. I don't forsee myself going on a vacation anytime soon :(

finaly found why i had a slight stumble/miss in the engine on my project truck.. had a small vacume leak by the EGR. dang this thing is coming together sweet! Karma says hi to everyone and said to wear sunblock on your nose (he does) says it helps alot!

Can you go into further explanation about what the EGR is? This sounds similar to what is happening in my car. This issues makes it so where I cannot use my a/c and I don't have the money to take it to a mechanic.

It was a helluva hot day yesterday! It was 100 degrees on the East Coast of Floriday and the smoke from the nine fires burning up and around near Daytona Beach, just made it even worse. Thank goodness I decided to wear shorts and flip flops, because that helped out a lot.

One of the girls at my job is fed up with how our supervisor talks to us once we stand up to her, and ask her not to treat us like we all are children. The supervisor sent this girl home because she was in a bad mood. So the girl, emailed our department director and the general manager and now has an appointment with them on Monday. This is the same supervisor, who read me the riot act for emailing a department manager. We all are hoping she gets reprimanded and put on probation. I was always told, that if your a manager, that you shouldn't use your power as a way to treat your co-workers terrible.

Hi folks.... sorry I haven't been around for a while. Dating a very nice butch. Not sure if it's gonna be the real deal though. First she acts like we're gf's, then she calls me her ladyfriend... hmmmmm has me over to meet her sister, but then leaves me out of a family event today, even though she knows I am on my own for the day. She also knows that today is difficult for me. I don't know... I think I let her move some things faster than I should. sigh.... I hate this kinda thing. She so enamoured me that I let my usual "rules of dating" go by the wayside. Thought we were on the same page. Now I am not so sure. Time will tell, but for now, my stomach hurts. have you tried finding game sites you can play from your phone? there has to be a crossword puzzle app out there somewhere. if i come up with anything i'll let ya know.

Good Morning Everyone! I hope everyone is having a good day filled with laughter *puts on a pot of coffee and danish* Last night I hand coded some webpages...all that focusing totally wore me out! So, did that for a short while, played feather on a stick with the cat then crashed. Today its more working on webpages although I am thinking of taking a break for a day.

Thank you CF, but I cannot go meet Clay anytime soon. It's going to cost me almost $800 for the deposits and rent in order to move July 7th.

I had the director of the DeVry University alumni association call me yesterday. I had said that I was interested in becoming their secretary. Matt sent me a text lastnight and said that I got the position. I am excited and they are going to announce it tomorrow at our dinner!!!

I think Karma, Holli and Chase are the thread dogs and all of the cats, are the thread kitties. I have one sitting next to me who thinks she is my owner.

I am in my late 50's & find it so hard to start over but this is a first step, right? I was in a 19 year relationship. I was faithful but she was not- several times. I finally ended it and asked her to move out. I think I was so wounded by her that I have really needed to heal on my own for the last 5 years. I am healed but still unsure how to date again since I am no longer in my 20's.
I am an RN with a bachelors degree. I have two grown daughters who are both married with children. I am a gamer (go ahead- laugh! Just read in Time that average age if gamer is now 37); I read a lot both "good" literature & zombie books (no idea why I dig them); garden-roses; just got a personal trainer; lost a lot of weight that I put on during those 18 years and I am starting over! Why did I join? I just saw a news item about a widow/widower in their 90's & thought: "Hell yes! Time to get my ass in gear"!

Kudos to you, your battle for healing yourself, and for stepping out! I apologize for the behavior of your ex.....it just makes me so hurt....how people treat one another!
I was in a very loving, very nurturing, wonderful relationship for 15 years...and have no baggage, so to speak! What I DO carry is a warm, loving, caring heart filled with many beautiful memories.....and love from an incredible woman!!! She was taken from me March 2009 with Stage IV Breast Cancer with mets to liver/lung/bone/kidney/pelvis/skull/and brain! She was a very intelligent RN, Charge Nurse of a major trauma ER for almost 24 years....Baccalaureate degree in pre med chem/bio with a nursing degree, in National Honor Society of Nurses, as well as MENSA! To me...she was my world...my life...my heartbeat. We did everything together...never an angry word was spoken, we committed and honored that..for 15 awesome years. The day she passed I thought I would die right along with her...but I survived..and while we fought the Cancer for 26 months...we lived life to the fullest...a train trip to Boston then over to PTown, couple trips to the western NC mountains to gem mine, and 2 surprise b'day parties. The rest of that time...we were living life....spending quality time...talking....refusing to let C dominate our lives! Her spirit was incredible..being positive to her last breath....at home,in my arms as she wished! I have taken the last two and a half years to heal....carve a niche for myself in life as one again. You are absolutely correct. It is very different in today's dating world..as opposed to when we were in our 20's. I am an OFOS (old fashioned, old school) kind of Butch...who believes in getting to know, dating, and a courtship. I want to enjoy those butterflies of each new date...anticipation of that first kiss to be very special and significant. As one lady wrote so eloquently here...I wish to meet "someone genuine who is genuinely interested in me" (credits to Dixielady). I want to open doors for her, pull out her chair, walk her to her door,bringing her a small boquet of flowers...."just because" maybe get a kiss on the cheek...spend quality time getting to look into her eyes and her soul, discovering all those million tiny things that make her HER....savoring the time spent....going slowly. So, so many wonderful, small, yet really huge steps in that dating/courtship phase....each to be savored, relished, and enjoyed. Taking the time to know each other....falling into like...and love to progress over time...anyway I could write a book here. I have had a very enduring, very loving, positive, healthy relationship..and 15 years wasn;t near long enough...but I am happy to have had that..she is always going to be a huge part of me, who I am, and my heart! I have her memories. One day a wonderful lady will sweep me off my feet...and I am in no rush. I know love is patient...love is kind...and when we open our hearts, let go, and enjoy this world, love has an amazing way of finding us...til then I am enjoying my single days...smelling the fresh air, watching a sunset, skipping in the rain, and loving myself....she is out there in this universe...I BELIEVE. I have known a wonderful love and I will again...may each of you get to experience this kind of incredible love as well!

I was out cleaning my storage unit out and then came home to have lunch and watch a show on NetFlix from the National Geographic. I then took a two hour nap and then started unloading my car. Hope Chase's appointment goes well on Friday and just to let you know, my two and a half year old nephew's name is Chase. Good choice!

I'm usually up at 445am,,and due to rain,got to sleep in,*S*yay,,Anyways.hope everyone has a good day today. I plan on doing some school work and just taking it easy..Anya, I know how that can be,I was in a 13 yr relationship that just ended without a word. That was 5 yrs ago more or less. I have had only one "serious" (or so I thought) relationship since then. I loved her to pieces.,but it ended as did my desires to find another on these sites. It's hard to find someone to talk to and believe now. As well as someone who's real and true. I'm an Old School Butch? Daddy and I have very strong morals and values that I live by. Which is probaly my downfall.I don't know. Anyways. I'm single again and enjoying my time with my dog and work and my beautiful Grandson*S* and my Family.. I hope everyone has a great weekend coming up. I am babysitting and doing school work and house work,,lol,,Eyup. The Finn sure knows how to have a fun weekend !! LOL.. I would gladly take some of the rains here. We have had dense smoke fog for the last 3 weeks with rain only once during that time. Check out www.news4jax.com to see some images of this smoke fog. Planes have onkly a mile visibility...scary eh? We are slated for some rain this Friday..and none too soon. There are 157 fires in and around Jax and more on the Ga/Fl line.....in the afternoon with the heat and low ceiling is the worst for the smoke fog....my eyes are shot....I go out long enough to potty my dog. Folks wander around with paper masks on...it has particulates in the air...so folks are cautionary. Anyway have a great day! Donna

That is how it was when I went to my mom's house last Friday. The smoke was so thick, that you could see it coming over the St. John's River bridge on I-4. It made the heat more unbearable and I took a chance and turned my a/c on.

I completely understand! I've been feeling like this quite a bit lately, but yesterday I took the day off of work and went with some friends to pancake breakfast, the museum, then a meetup of a local group that tries out burgers at different restaurants around the city. It was great, and I was completely distracted from being lonely for a whole day!!

Hey Scan: That is such an awesome outlook to have!!! Yes, we DO need more museums in our lives! For the sake of repitition, I posted an epistle here recently..and one thing my deceased wife taught me was to "not sweat the small stuff" and to "find joy in the simplest of things". To me any day above gorund is an excellent day...another of her favorites. I have a best friend in Columbia..sometimes we "take" a weekend...and go rent a room for the weekend....bring coloring books, crayons, bubbles, and squirt guns, silly string..and we have a blast....and go to the Zoo...just enjoying all those things we usually take for granted. Hey z.. sorry you were having trouble and missed your dinner. I hate car trouble, it really sucks!

Seems my best friend may not be my best friend anymore. Apparently I am not allowed to be human, make an honest mistake, without getting "in trouble" so to speak. I am heart broken. We have talked 3 nights in a row now, but she refuses to see what I am trying to tell her. It was ok for her to tell me she had hurt feelings, but I'm not allowed to tell her I also had hurt feelings.

Because of all of this, my only vacation (fri sat and sun this weekend) is a bust. Been scrambling for something I can afford to do on my own, but it's a no go so far and tomorrow is friday.

Thank you Scan and yes I did end up going to the dinner. I had a blast talking to some of my friends and the pictures and videos are blackmail material. We all got 80th Anniversary Wine Flutes as a thank you gift and I rocked that party in my red shirt, black slacks and red patent leather, Kenneth Cole peep toe flats.

GOOD MORNING!!!!! It's a brand new day with endless possibilities. Lots of distractions planned for my weekend. Saturday night dinner with friends, back in the gym Sunday (after a 2 week break) and then a sparring session Monday morning! I'm pretty excited to get back in the ring!:nixon:

Since I have a bad back and knees, I love to go power walking and doing light yoga. I also love to go swimming when I get the chance. Have fun Saturday night with your friends and take it easy in the gym...If you need an ice pack, I do believe we have one hanging around here.

GOOD MORNING!!!!! It's a brand new day with endless possibilities. Lots of distractions planned for my weekend. Saturday night dinner with friends, back in the gym Sunday (after a 2 week break) and then a sparring session Monday morning! I'm pretty excited to get back in the ring!:nixon:

I am still wore out from the Alumni dinner yesterday. My roommate has two pictures on his camera and once he gets them loaded up on his computer, I will have him email them to me. One of our professor's and I were talking and he was showing me how several of our students created three video games for the Windows 7 based phones. I was like, cool and then told him, that I was a Mac fan. Another friend was standing there and he told me to take my Mac loving self in another direction. I then explained to him, atleast iPhone's don't crash as much as the Windows phones.

I had pancakes for breakfast with nutmeg and vanilla extract mixed in. I am not a huge syrup fan, so I found that the vanilla extract gives it a bit of sweetness.

Thank you Scan and yes I did end up going to the dinner. I had a blast talking to some of my friends and the pictures and videos are blackmail material. We all got 80th Anniversary Wine Flutes as a thank you gift and I rocked that party in my red shirt, black slacks and red patent leather, Kenneth Cole peep toe flats.

Oh Zimmy, that's the WORST! Did they try to jump it? I'm sorry you had to get such an expensive battery! If all us femmes rode around on unicorns like some people think we do, we wouldn't have to worry about this sort of thing, eh? :)

I hope you still went to your dinner anyway. I know when bad stuff happens it's extra hard to want to go out, but I sometimes find it's just that sort of distraction that helps take the edge off a crappy day!
