i think im going to go to bearzona its a drive threw wild kingdom with lions tigers and bears.. the news just showed a black bear come out look at the camera then plop on his but grab his toes and started making bear snow angles!! it was pretty funny and that bear eas a ham.. i didnt know what all the had there and they are only about 20 miles from me do im headed over there to check out the hams!

I woke up to 41 degree weather outside and it felt good! I forgot my jacket at home lastnight and literally ran to the parking garage...:blink: It was 80 degrees here yesterday and then dropped down to 41...Gotta love Florida

Good Morning Everyone,

The dentist gave me a clean bill of health and said that I am not allowed to have solid foods for another two weeks and that it can take up to three months for my mouth to finally heal. So for my 38th birthday, I will be celebrating at the Cheesecake Factory eating Godiva cheesecake...:) :) with my friends from college and another friend.

I cannot believe that my birthday is twenty days away and I am looking forward to it!

ugh im so sick of the dentist!! they have all my inplants and have done one surg.. but they still need to go in and put a pin in my lower jaw.. they are going to do that at the hosp. so maybe the will just knock me out.
good news.. two of are local ski resorts or open for three days.. lol i think im going to give the snow board a shot.. its been years!!

i haven't heard the NJ jokes but i have a childhood memory that sticks with me to this day. before Maryland had international flights into our airport, we would travel to NY to pick up my grandparents at the airport. on the first trip up that i remember we were passing through NJ. the area smelled really bad and i asked "what's that smell". my Mom responded "New Jersey". so now when i'm traveling and pass through a town that smells like a sewer plant i think of NJ. it's odd how much power the sense of scent has on memories.

Good Luck and the hygenist at my dentist office held my hand when they numbed my mouth. I am only having issues with eating due to the gum being sore and they thought that they may have damaged the bone when they pulled my two back teeth. Fortunately, they didn't and was told to continue eating soft foods....

Good morning, everyone. I'm doing my Yule dinner early, this year, so as to make sure that a friend of mine and my roommate's has one, as they will be working on Christmas. Right now, they are working their tail off, as they are starting a new business, so they really deserve this.
Mind you, I'm still wondering why in the hell that I got up at 4am to start defrosting the turkey by water, since I only bought it yesterday, but what the heck. Our friend has had us over for holiday meals many a time, it is only fair to do the same for them. Only trouble is, they don't know that we are doing it for them, yet. (MY roommate and I decided to do it yesterday, all of a sudden.) I'm going to let them know this morning, when I talk to them. This ought to be interesting, that little convo. lol

We picked my aunt up from the hospital yesterday and will take her to rehab on Monday. She needs to strengthen her legs...but at least she got to spend Christmas with us. My Uncle, however, was taken to the hospital from the nursing home he is in and was not able to attend, very sad for my other aunt and thier daughter. We all did pretty well considering.

I think we had a pretty nice Christmas! I cooked Christmas dinner with Mom as chef's helper. Put other's to work! lol Now as many dishes as can be fit in the dishwasher are in and washing, most of the food is put away, I just have to finish cutting the turkey.

Apparently there was a crack in the meat board we cut the turkey on and Bella found the puddle of turkey drippings and had a good ole time! lol Now I need to wash her head because it dripped on her! lol Merry Christmas to Bella!

The beach in the winter is awsome...but usually a short visit..tooooooo cold. I usually go down, walk on the boards or the beach for a little bit, then grab lunch or dinner, walk again and go home. I only got to the beach when I went to Asbury pride this year.... NOT nearly ENOUGH!

The new year has started out good, so far! I couldn't believe that not ONE store up here had the fixin's for hoppin johns! If I had known, I would have sent home and had someone mail me the field peas! So, instead of my traditional pork roast with hoppin john, I made a nice, lean roast that became a delicious homemade beef soup with homemade corn bread! I cooked 2 pots, and there is only ONE pot left! My family took big bowls of soup home for later. Cornbread, sad to say, didn't make it! It was gone! Not a crumb left over!
Of course I saved the best for last. As everyone was patting their well-fed tummies, I brought out the sour cream butter pound cake, the gingerbread cake and the chocolate cherry cake!!! I couldn't decide what to make for lunch, so I made all three! Anyone for leftovers???

My birthday was awesome :) Dinner with friend's and getting a dozen red roses with Godiva truffles was the best and I cried :) The love, support and friendship I have received from everyone has opened my eyes to the fact, that I don't have to settle for just anyone, but the one who will love me unconditionally. Hanging out with RuffRyder has made me laugh and going to watch football with hym was awesome, celebrating Christmas for the first time since my dad passed away, priceless and looking forward to my birthday made 2011 even more memorable! Getting a job with a company who encourages you to succeed and then picking up a part time job for Christmas and to be told, that they are keeping me on permanently has me paying everything forward! This time last year, I had nothing but my family and one year later, I have everything. My <3 is full of sunshine and love :)

I cannot ask for a better way to end 2011!
