2 things that happened at school today..

1) Student walks up to me and says "Miss, I have to tell you something...I brought my sugarglyder to school and its going crazy "*removes sugarglyder from pocket* Sugarglyder then decides to escape and run all over the class!! How did she make it through the day without any of her other teachers noticing she had a flying squirrel in her pocket!!!!

2) I received a valentine from one of my students. He drew a sun on it. On the bottom he wrote "You are really hot" UMMMMMMMM....lol I had to laugh! Sheesh!

Being at Pops' gaff when young Oscar (the only child that any of us three siblings will produce) came to visit his Grandpops, his Ma and Pa came too.

I am so used to doing everything for myself that I tend to not ask for help even when I need it. Well, I broke down and asked for a little help and what I got was a lot more than I could ask for. I felt guilty letting her meet me there because she could hear me flipping out over the phone and we both have our own clients to see and schedules to maintain. She stayed and waited while I had everything done and took me home and had another friend come and drive my car home. People kept texting and emailing me (as not to wake me up) to make sure I was okay once I got home. I work with some of the best people I have ever known. I don't know how I got so lucky.
And my friends who I told about it and are not local kept checking on me via texts and kept letting me know they were thinking about me. I love them so much.
Now, I am beyond smiling and getting mushy.

OH and i forgot about this......

My mom went to the grocery store and there was a lady in the isle on her cell phone.

Mom went behind her with her buggy and just as she got directly behind her the girl backed up into mom's buggy.

She turns and looks at my mom and says "Lady why don't you watch where the hell you are going. I should kick your gray headed ass".

Now........my mom is 77 years old, 5'1 and weighs all of maybe 140. She said this girl was tall and in her 20s.

So, my mom, pushes her buggy out of the way and looks straight at the girl and says...

"Oh you think you can? BRING IT".

Mom said the look in that girl's face was priceless and she just walked away.

Now of course this pissed me off and i'm thinking the whole time she's telling me this that i'm gonna get in my car and drive to Kroger and hunt this girl down. But, then i thought...wow...she did good and I'm proud of her.

Horray for her taking up for herself. Horray for someone "maybe" being taught a lesson on how NOT to treat the elderly.

I'm glad i wasn't there....or i would be calling some of you to bail me out of jail tonight....lol.

my daughter finally got her engagement ring today on her birthday. They announced at Christmas that they were getting married but were waiting to get the ring. It is beautiful. Three diamonds, platinum. He wanted to have it all paid off before he gave it to her. He is a good money manager. His timing was perfect for her birthday. I loved the suprise as much as she did!

According to his co-workers at the Green End Dental Practice in Whitchurch, the 'rude' and 'inappropriate' dentist enjoyed breaking wind in front of them as they ate their lunch while employed there between August 2006 and December 2007.

However, the dentist reportedly claimed he had 'inadvertent' outbreaks of flatulence.

At a previous hearing in February, a dental nurse who worked with Mr Walton told the panel how she frequently complained to him about his bad habit. She said: "I just asked him to stop doing it. It was annoying. I didn't like the smell around the practice and it made us feel sick." The tribunal also found him guilty of other charges, including his lack of respect for the elderly, the disabled and ethnic minorities, and regularly swearing in front of patients and staff during surgery.

Walton was also found guilty of asking poorer patients to pay the money upfront and even looked in their purse or wallet if he didn't believe they had the ability to pay.

Committee chairman Valerie Paterson said: "The committee accepted that you made such enquiries in a way which was considered by them to be offensive. The committee noted your evidence that if a patient could not show an ability to pay you would send them away and ask them to return on another occasion."

On some occasions, the foul-mouthed dentist made rude gestures, like sticking two fingers up behind the backs of patients he didn't like.

However, Mr Walton apologised for this before the panel members and admitted that his behaviour was juvenile saying he felt frustrated at work.

The General Dental Council is currently considering the appropriate punishment
