What made me smile...

Getting a wedding invitation in the mail from my favorite cousin in New York. Her and her girlfriend are getting married... HOLY CRAP! Where does the time go?! She 28... how did that happen?! I can remember her 10th birthday, her surrounded by tomboys and blowing out the candles on her Pittsburgh Steeler birthday cake, and thinking "yep, she's gonna be a heartbreaker".

It's been a smiley couple days, knowing that things are coming together as planned and she will be in my arms in the foreseeable future, wooooohooooo! In general, life is good, work is good, I have an AWESOME crew this year. It stopped snowing! I have really GREAT doggy daycare, and a pup that is happy to see me when I get home. I live in a hundred year old cabin, and on my way to the car I look up to pelicans and eagles soaring by. Most of all I have this wonderful girl that gets me, and is there for me at the end of the day. I have SO many blessings in my life, I smile ALOT. - getting ready to go for a long walk at the nature park with a friend i havent seen since i was 11 years old when my mother moved me out of town... we lost contact, and recently found one another and so anxious to see her and catch up, she was my best friend growing up..

- special wonderful & such a loving evening with my Daddy last night, my ever growing self confidence and the very noticeable changes in me which led to an absolute comfort in my ability to show the beautiful, sexy & wonderful girl i know i am for Him.. our fabulous conversation, connection & everything in between!

- taking care of me, truly taking 100% care of me, healthwise, mindwise, eating & exercisewise, following through.. making appointments, future planning and removing ALL negativity and feeling confident that i am stronger than i've ever been.. and knowing i am NOT turning back..

-the beauty i feel, the self esteem that is growing, the love and zest for life that i am so truly learning to live and enjoy now, putting myself out there and not holding back anymore.. damn right!

- the genuine love & understanding of my Daddy, Mr Mtn who seriously loves the stuffing right outta me as i do Him, and my confidence that i am worthy of this love and that i work daily to deserve it, SO very much.. thinking about how ten years tomorrow i was H U G E pregnant with my second and last baby. i remember sitting in the glider rocking chair i had used with my first daughter, in the baby's room, sweating my butt off, thinking about when she would be here...anticipating her arrival, nervous about natural childbirth and scared out of my mind to have two kiddos. she didn't move much in my belly so i thought for sure she would be quiet and mellow. Mum's gone away to spend the next two nights with the relics (relatives, her name not mine lol)
But knowing how spaced out I am from the stronger painkillers and muscle relaxants, she made me lasagne and garlic bread to eat and she went into Alnwick and got me some more tobacco so I don't try to walk to the local store when I run out.
She's the best Mum ever, without a doubt, she came in the other day and tidied up so I wouldn't trip over anything, cleaned the cats litter tray for me cos I can't bend over safely, put my trash out and took me shopping for food I could zap in the microwave, so, when she comes back, we're going to our local book store and I'm buying her lunch, skies the limit, whatever she wants she can have because I owe her sooooo much!
I know she'll probably never get to read this post but I just have to say this;
Mum, I love you so damn much, you've been my lifeline and sanity while I've been sick, you've put up with me being a grumpy bastid when I've been feeling ill and you're always there for me, I'm the luckiest boi in the world because of you, thank you for being you and thank you for being my Mum!

I've been in a kind of weird place the last few days and that "possible butch" just sort of gave me a jolt I was really needing. The swagger and self confidence hy exuded is what I've been sorely lacking of late. So I don't think the attraction was hym so much as much as it is my wishing I had that swagger and self confidence.
But today I am in a better place - - thanks to hym . . . and you! I just shouldn't wallow when I'm felling bad - - I just got to go out there and be me!

Although, I do admit, a tiny bit of attraction because of the way hy filled out that uniform. Hy wasn't the type anyone would give a second look to - - older, overweight and in uniform. But, like I said, the swagger. oh my.

We have endured over forty days of consecutive triple digit temperatures and today, that streak broke. We were at 90something around 2ish when a wind kicked up and blew in a weak cold front that dropped our temperature to 82 in less than half an hour.

Not shure this belongs in hear ,but hear it is....At wall mart yesterday I saw an old friend I havent seen in a while,we saw each other then had a good old fshhion hugg session with a peck on the cheek kind of thing then she went on to meet her mom to shop this lasted 3-4 minits...all this went on in the check out lane while I was payin for what I bought.This was done in frount of the cashsheer,the manager and a bunch of folks dureing the buiseyest time of the day.There is no doubt that they saw two crazy gay people hugging in full view if the world.I turned around paid for my stuff then walked out with a grinn like a happy old cat..not on person said a word to me,they had plenty of time too do it ,not shure if thay were in shock or speachless..who cares...not me.

Going to look at a house tomorrow, went and saw the outside (huge backyard, paved driveway, fenced in yard), met the neighbor and spoke for a long while.. real estate agent would of preferred we were pre-qualified ~ of course ~ but we're going anyways! :)
