I woke up in a great mood after getting a lot accomplished last night and having a few great dreams. It wasn't too cold walking my paper route and I took the car into work which cuts my commute time in half. I spent a good chunk of my morning daydreaming in between the busy spurt of clients, lunch break messages, a warm cup of tea, compliments on my work, getting to relax now and feeling like I can easlily slip into productive mode again tonight.

Oh! I received the sweetest care pkg today... well, it came yesterday but I couldn't get it from my apt office until this morning & don't you know the moment I opened my eyes, I sat staring at my clock for ten a.m. when they opened. LoL

Two film cameras [one working/one a collectors item], a zoom lens & polarizing filter, a stunning handmade from tree bark, feather holder, huh? I know, it's gorgeous! And the 'earth, sun, moon & stars' !!!

Man, what a way to wake up. Can this day GET any better?

I had a great day today! I woke up relaxed and even though my day got very busy, my energy held onto that feeling. I smiled as I got up from my blankets to make tea and I haven't stopped smiling all day. A friend bought me lunch, I had a few minutes to myself to daydream, I don't have to cook tonight since I have leftovers and I am starting to feel a bit better from overheating at work earlier in the day. I hope it isn't a bug.

I am going to take a bubble bath and then maybe work on sorting through more things. I think I will attempt the closet tonight.

Friends are on my mind as my energy floats. I hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

There's a 10 year old kitty who's been at the shelter that I volunteer at for over 100 days. He has some expensive health problems- hypothyroidism, and something with eyes- which is probably what kept him in the shelter longer than other the other cats. I just found out he got adopted, and went home yesterday. :)

After telling him no, I got a history lesson the remainder of the ride about what Bangor looked like back in the day...60s and 70s.

Old Timers and live history lessons. Stuff ya just can't get out of the books. I learned Bangor was the largest logging city back in its prime and that the river (that is rather void of action these days) had 100s of boats docked most of the year.

The only way I take in history and actually retain it. :)

I'm sure I made the neighbors smile, more than once today. First, went to get mail...windy day to be wearing a short dress. Then to realize my slip was a little too long today, had to roll it up.

Second, came home and needed to bring the pile of mail that I left on the floorboard of the car. I first came into the house, making sure I leave the car unlocked, bring in my purse, shoes and iPad. Go back out to my car, but stopping to see what the kitty's are doing, and got to the car and realized its not unlocked. Seriously? I check the drivers side too. Go back into the house, push unlock button once again, see the lights on the car blink. Good to go. Again, looked at what the cat was playing with, not sure if it was a bug or what. Got to car, passenger side, click. What? Auto lockout? One more time..straight to the door and get the mail. I'm sure the neighbors where saying ...crazy lady keeps trying to get into her car..

Its pouring rain outside today and when I opened the door for the delivery guy I saw a rabbit hiding under the tree by our gate. I have seen this bunny and one other romping around the house before but it looked so wet and cold today. When I showed him to my son, he insisted that it was hungry, so we got a carrot (and an umbrella) and he went out to feed the bunny.

Last night I got a phone call from one of my foster daughters, who has since been adopted with a wonderful single mom. She invited me to her basketball game today. You never know the impact you can make on a child, until you try. My heart is so happy :)

a long visit - with (her) - I know she most likely had many things she (could) be doing - or places she (could or should) be going -but she (chose) to spend time with me ... (just because) ... and how can that not make me happy? Her laughter is infectious and her generous spirit of heart and goodness - touches me deeply. I am thankful...yes - indeed (grateful) everyday for the smile of heart within my own...

Other smiles ... four pawed babies - always...and the easiness of the day - to just "be" ... its good to slow down every once in awhile ... no tv/ no radio/ no anything - except for time spent with the one you love ... (yep) - tis true... while i smiled (before) her... my smile is (deeper) because of (her).

Oh - and of course ... today is taco tuesday! lol :)

Feeling refreshed and recharged after taking some time for myself to unwind in self-care routines. My hands and feet are either going to love me tomorrow or hate me, but as long as I keep them happy for tonight I am good.

My Dad is having cataract surgery (I didn't know he had cataracts, and that did not make me smile), during the surgery, they will be able to correct his ridiculously severe astigmatism, and for the first time in 15 years, he will be able to drive at night! That makes me smile!

Looking at all of the local rescue animal adoptions that took place since I last checked. I am so happy they found loving homes.

I have really been considering getting an animal companion but I am not sure if now is quite the best time while I finish setting up my traveling project plans. I will keep looking though because I can't help but feel a little tug at my heart strings when I hear about all of the abandoned/abused beauties.

I am still smiling just like I did for most of yesterday. I love waking up feeling happy and knowing that I can live the life I want to live by following my own dreams and expectations.

I woke up feeling really comfortable and almost as if my sleep gave me some clarity about decisions, projects and other important details.

I have already been quite productive and I cannot wait until I get to share my floating energy with a friend. Hopefully we'll get to have a conversation today between our busy schedules.

so, gren took Owen (the beagle) for a walk...upon her return the 3 little ones got mad and cried wanting their walk. I grabbed the leashes and put them on...figuring it would be a short walk down the road a couple houses because Abby (the mini pincher) has only been on a leash once before and wasn't fond of it. However, she walked like a champ with the other two..no fighting it..no biting the leash...no issues at all! She made it down a couple blocks and back...was to cold for them to go to far, but if the weather was better I think she would have kept going. that indeed made me smile

Owen made me smile because he's gotten so chubby this winter, he waddled. He needs more walks and less food. He was a good boy on the leash. Less sniffing and didn't try dragging me.

Winnie made me giggle because she growled at me when I came in and sat down. She never growls. She wanted her walk.

I had a client at work make me laugh out loud. He has Down's and is very hard to understand. He's new to us and I joke/tease everyone, today was his turn. He was shredding paper in the office and I told him I was going to shred his shirt. He said no and put his hand out to shake mine. He held my hand for a moment looking at it. I thought he was bending down to kiss it but instead he licked my hand and continued up my arm. I pulled away and immediately turned away doubled over laughing. Then I feel him goose me and say "oops" clear as a bell.

Although, I hate the stress and office politics, seeing my clients today...made me smile.

What made me smile was to be able to finally be all caught on with my homework, and have all assignments turned in.. ON TIME for this week.
I was in a really bad slump for a couple of weeks and let it get the best of me.. but.. i persevered and worked hard to get where i am now.
Starting Monday, i will have only 3 more weeks of this class.. and .i . will. pass. it.

Laika, the Torbie Momcat was left pregnant on someone's doorstep. She's probably not a feral, since she arrived in good shape and knows very darn well what chin skritches and pets are for! Babies are as follows:

Yuri: little orange and white boy
Valentina: black with faint orange splotches. We think she's going to be a dark torbie like Momcat.
Boris and Pavel are the black boys. I believe Boris is the larger one, but don't quote me on that.

The kittens were born on Valentine's Day! They're two weeks old now, and we get to watch them through the growing up, weaning, socialization and adoption process! It's an awesome journey! As darling as the babies are, I totally have the grabby hands for Laika. She's beautiful!

And that's what made me smile today.

Feeling a close energy all night and still being up after the sunrise because I got lost in conversation, weird but good dreams and the warm burst of flavor as I drank my morning.

While I was at the flea market, I got to see the most precious look on a little girl's face as her eyes fell over two porcelain dolls on my table. Her eyes lit up and her smile grew. It almost brought me to tears when she tugged on her mother's coat to ask her if she could buy them both. When her mother smiled and said yes, the little girls excitement was contageous. She was asked why she needed both of them. Her reply was "well they might be lonely apart but nana is lonely too so maybe if I could give her this, she will feel better when she misses us"

I shook my head at her mother when she tried to pay me. It was just so touching to see.

I also have been smiling all day in my little thoughts about my decisions and project ideas as usual. It leads to a lot of daydreaming and determination to make this all happen the way I see it working for me. I know things don't always go as planned and I don't expect it to. At least being on my own business wise, I set the expectations and I get to embrace all of my creativity.

I've been re-arranging and some spring cleaning has occurred. :0. I was pushing the maple hutch around from one wall to another. I inherited the hutch from my Granny. She worked in a furniture factory at one time. When I took out the drawers and pushed it around, I found a secret message from her. It wasn't words, it was something that made perfect sense to me. Made it a treasure to find and a smile from heaven.
