The light at the end of the tunnel.... and all my dearest friends who stuck by me and supported me very unselfishly, their unwaivering strength that lends me strength, and their constant faith in me. From one coast to the other, I am very blessed to have such giving, caring and supportive friends who never let me down. When you suffer from poor self-esteem and from current economic times, these values are worth more than gold. Without their love and support, I would not have kept my plans to Move Forward. I owe this job offer and recent positive events to them. .... now the hard part is going to work today and announcing to 'my nurses' that I will be leaving them. Thinking about all the tight bonds and true friends I've been gifted with makes me smile and my heart warm....the light at the end of the tunnel is helping me to Move Forward.

I was able to successfully capture a medium sized dog (w/ no collar) that was running loose up and down a busy street today.

He almost got hit by a tractor trailer and then another car. It took forever trying to get a hold of him but I did with the help of another guy. I held him in my truck till a police officer came to assist. I put him in the back of the cop car and the cop hung out with the dog till animal control showed up.

I hope he found his owners...if not I gave my info to be notified so I could get him.


I found out that the dog and his owner were reunited yesterday morning.

I'm so glad that turned out to be a happy ending for both.

A wonderful day at work, the 'deer in the headlights look' from my Supervisor when I told her (2 seconds before our monthly meeting) about my job offer and how I will be her Authority Figure very soon and that my new boss plans on "shaking things up quite a bit"!!.... very uplifting and supportive responses from my favorite co-workers... an email from my new boss... a wonderfully yummy dinner of my favorite specialty pizza....then going by auction to get an air conditioner but scoring a NICE tool bag filled to the brim with all kinds of adjustable wrenches, several sizes of pliers and wire snips, brand new level, heavy duty hammer, about 15 different screwdrivers, a set of locking pliers, wire brushes, a voltage tester, and channel locks...all for $30!!! :cheesy: Momma has tools!! I love refilling my tool kit!! You never know when you might need locking pliers and a voltage tester!!! :cheesy: :cheesy: .... now if I could just replace my door locks after ALMOST losing my key tonight when my key chain broke in a dark driveway.

And getting my release forms sent off... final offer is just around the corner!

Thinking about plans to take Blade's parents to dinner Saturday ... her response to the place I picked was " that sure isn't diet food, but lordly it is good!!"... I adore his parents! Damn good people! !

Thinking about plans to completely pay off my college loans and save up a bit to go visit my nieces ...maybe for next Christmas! !...

I am her handy man and always have a chore list at her house, which she loves....it's our time together. She called me this morning to ask me if I had any shredded cheese. I was like :blink:, why? She went off and forgot her cheese for her broccoli and cauliflour for lunch....so I put some in a sandwhich bag and dropped it off on my way to work.

When she came to get it from me in my truck, she said, "I sure appreciate you...you take such good care of me." Little does she know SHE takes good care of me!!

I smiled all the way to work...shredded cheese made her so happy. I love my mom.

We took our girls to see it last night and both were amazed at how well behaved all the teens in the audience were. You could have heard a pin drop during the movie. And they all got up and cheered at the end. :)

Seeing everything for what it is, appreciating, practicing gratitude, random acts of kindness.. smiling, positive thoughts & well into my recovery, regardless of challenging days, i'm feeling pretty friggin' amazing these days.

I brought my oldest daughter's too small Toms to wear to my classes today since I have three and they are spread out all over campus. I took off my heels and put the Toms on and halfway to class I looked down and started giggling. :) Something just struck me in such a funny way...to be wearing my daughters shoes because they are too small for her. She's only 13 and is closing in on 5'10" and wears a size 10.5 shoe!!
