My scruffy, muttly, adorable dog looking up at me through all his hair (like a mini sheep dog, he must lift his chin to see out from under it all) with a look on his face as if to say "Mom, where did you hid the treats?"...he tickles me so. He reminds me of a cute Barkley.

For a week now, I've enjoyed the view to and from work... the trees are in Peak here.

beautiful young love ♥ my gorgeous once stepson just got married this past weekend in cancun and oh... is there anything more precious? it was a stunning beach wedding complete with turquoise colored water, a barefoot groom in a very formal sand colored linen suit and a bride that rivals kate middleton in every way possible. truly bright brilliant beautiful love* i'll probably be smiling for a very long time.

Driving over to Jo's earlier this evening to hang woth Rooster for the night I see this elderly(80+) couple sitting outside their garage,and the husband was playing what looked like a ukelele,AND appeared to be singing. The wife was just looking at him and smiling..almost caused me to run off the road,but it was so sweet i had a hard time taking my eyes off of them!

I sat out in the living room a few minutes ago and just looked at the moon, almost full and just above the clouds. The reflection it cast on the water was absolutely gorgeous. :)

Reading this made me smile :) I can just see you there......sitting by the bay windows (that what they called?), anyways, they are large size windows, looking out and just being at peace and seeing that smile lit up your face.....

my niece and a daughter of a friend are having baby showers this weekend. I am not able to go because I am so sick and dont want to contaminate everyone at the showers. When I told both hostesses this, they told me everyone was so looking forward to seeing me again. But they went over the baby shower plans with me so I would know what i was missing. I love so much being close to family and friends. To share in this warmth, to feel it in my heart how close we all are. We are only as significant in this universe as the heartbeats we leave in other people....my heart is full....

I found out my company offers all medical dental, vision, etc all benefits to same sex domestic partners !!! It was only in the states that allowed same sex marriages. But now it includes everyone!!!! I'm pumped. We have some excellent benefits too. Including a nice pension. Which means if I died before my partner, she would get my pension until she dies. Before , if I died no one would get it, it just ended. Only married hetero's spouses got the pension if their spouse died. Awesome news!!!!!!! I love my company!!!

....a bunch of fourteen year olds (haven't taught them that young in awhile!) who all wrote a little something on a sympathy card for my uncle.

When I returned to work, I said thanks sooo much and, "I love you all!" and did the heart sign with my hands.

They YELLED back, "Awwww, Ms!!! WE love you too and missed you!!!"

We shared a moment.

My grades vs. class average for my Vocational Planning class.. My grades for Interpersonal Communication are good as well, but since it is a class for the second half of the semester,we have not turned in enough assignments to make you go "Oooooh!"

So fucking proud of myself, is that sad? I tell myself it's only two classes, so I should do awesome - but then I add on that I work full-time, have a family, and have a life with said family outside of school and work so doing homework is sometimes hard.

Just wanted to share my accomplishments thus far :D

I bought new chairs to go 'round the dining table today. OK, I was slightly flaberghasted to realize I have to put them together.... (assembly required? Excuse me, but did you not notice the high heels and pink nail polish? Pfft... oh honey!... Get yer tools... LOL) ... But yay! This year we're eating Thanksgiving in our dining room, sitting in real chairs at a real table. Huzzah! :)

many, many things.. where do i begin?

- my teenagers, good humor, no attitudes & seeing B studying her pretty little heart out.. cooking with A, laughing and warm fuzzy hugs.

- time with my Daddy, deep conversations, constant support, and an amazing love i will be grateful for, every single day...

- coming out of an emotional, hard and exhausting 3 days of self-work, tears & frustrations with a food addiction, eating disorder & being able to say now THAT's progress.. taking the hard stuff, and finding positive solutions and really finding some love for myself, being proud of myself and knowing damnit, i'm well worth this!

- putting on a pair of pants i bought over 2 months ago, which were snug and uncomfortable - and having them be very loose.. & going through my closet, and finding new outfits with tags on them that now fit, EXCITING! *happy dancing*

- making a lovely dinner tonight, and really creating a new loving & healthy relationship with food again.. and it was so colorful, pretty and delicious...

- plans for March, to be with Him again... plans for September for Reunion, with Him... AND plans for future..(yes, Him again, heh..) We soo got this, and that makes me smile non-stop!

Driving by a beautiful, old Craftsman style house that someone finally bought and is fixing it up in such a loving way... it's even more beautiful than it was as an "old bones" neglected, empty place... Today I saw the old windows stacked on the porch (they've replaced much of the old leaded windows)... I thought "what did it hurt to ask?" ... so I stopped in... told her that I am trying to make "cold boxes" (like mini green houses) from old windows... she GAVE them to me!! I pick them up tomorrow!! Now I'll have enough to make at least 3 or 4 large Cold Boxes to get an early start on next spring's garden!! I might even have enough to build a whole green house?!!

Thinking about growing my first crop of Cherokee Purple tomatoes next year.... Gramma D will be so happy!!

My landlord calling, saying I could pick up the new keys ... the last time he tried to make keys, they didn't work. Tonight, I picked up the new set, went over to the house, plugged in the heaters (cuz it's NIPPY tonight) and tried the new keys... :| they didn't work. My landlord makes me smile... first he was so proud of himself that he put in pipes and electric for a laundry room... but he forgot the dryer vent. When I brought it to his attention, his response was "well.... I guess I did". Now the keys... *shakes head* Just like my current roomie and his parents, my landlord and his family are all good folks... all things will work out, even if the keys don't work.

so every m,t,w, even though i only have a zone one parking permit i park in the lot specific area because it's so much closer to the building my evening classes are in. i've never had a problem because i park waaaaaay in the back...until tonight. i had so many meetings that i was running late for class and parked in the very front isle. the good news is that the parking person left me only a warning with a little note on the back asking that i keep my vehicle in the back since i don't have the appropriate permit for the lot. and they put a little smiley face on the bottom. ;)

I have been noticing these black box like things all over the touristy parts of town. Today, I finally investigated. They are called big belly solar powered trash compactors. Surprised me. Tomorrow when I go for my walk, I'm bringing some trash with me so I can play with it.
