The great mothers day I had..the surprises and the flowers..well samson (my cat) ate most of them :( lol but I get to not do anything all day!.. I enjoyed that alot..especially since I am still down with my allergies and migraines..The amazing dinner she cooked for me :) and as I was sitting here dowloading google chrome (which seems to be the only browser that does NOT disconnect me from this site) my son called me :)...I checked all day to see if he left me a message..but I got his call and it has completed this day!..

I love my family and I am very very blessed :)

Knowing I have some really amazing, wonderful people in my life....

Two in particular....
Spent the weekend with one, going to an amusement park with her and her family then taking her out for her late birthday treat today, HAD A BLAST!!!! with 283 pictures of silliness to prove it!! .... and chatting with another long distance who I shared our fun with the yesterday and who helped me get through a rough start to my day today.

I wouldn't trade them for the world!! Not even a bite of the grandson's blue cotton candy and another funnel cake!!

What made me smile today was seeing this gorgeous, turn my head woman. I mean she literally turned my head. She was wearing a black skirt that was tight, and a tight grey-white blouse. Her hose was black, and her shoes...black heels. But her face and hair was like perfect. Everything was in place, and she was just absolutely knock down gorgeous. I think I stopped walking. She was just that gorgeous.

7.) Finding out that my car insurance in my new State of residence is MUCH less than in Pennsylvania and other states I had considered moving to. Plus, I found a very helpful agent to help me transfer everything. Her making me feel welcome and supporting me to make a smooth move made me smile and appreciate Southern Hospitality.

8.) Getting a lot of help from a friend who seems to have endless patience. (Thanks hon!! For the help with my tires!)

9.) Making breakfast for Mom...and her telling Gizzy the dog that "Geee Gizzy this is NICE, Look, Gramma's getting spoiled today, no one ever cooks for Gramma any more!" (I cook for her nearly every time we are together, but it's nice to hear her tell the dog that she appreciates it. LOL)

My Tashi Bear being so happy tonight. With her little butt-wiggle dance and kisses... she wore poor Willy out romping around so much that he came to hide under Momma. I wish I had her energy!! She's dancing and spinning around so much she makes me dizzy!

They both give such unconditional love and affection.

What really makes me smile is to look at her pictures the few days I first brought her home...how sad and scared she looked... and to see her now. I'm so happy that fate allowed me to be here and adopt her from the SPCA. She's such a doll!!

Today is the "Spring Into Arts Festival" up in Concord (the town where I work). I am really excited about attending this. Charlotte no longer feels like my home so I am really looking forward to my lease ending here. There's an apartment in one of the big houses in the Historical District that I plan to lease - it is 2 blocks from work so I will be able to walk. Also the rent is amazing - much lower than what I pay now for a larger space.

Ooops, got sidetracked!

My best friend, Jeffie, and I are going today. (I'm the only one who can get away with calling him "Jeffie.") We both agree that it will be wonderful to attend a street event neither of us worked on. Jeffie and I have been friends for years having worked together on so many LGBT events, commitees, projects, etc. Shelia calls him the baby sister I never had...LOL We love doing stuff together.

How VERY sweet!! Baby kitties make my heart melt!! The mother kitty in me comes out. Everything about a baby kitty is sweet and adorable... especially just after they are done suckling and their bellies are FULL, then they try to totter around but their fat little bellies make them tumble. I miss helping my favorite momma cat birth each of her litters. Thank you for sharing!!

How my Willy Bear met me at the top of the steps... that's always been a happy spot for us to play since he was a tiny pup. He's always so happy dancing around to greet me and love all over his Momma. Makes me smile every time to watch him pat and thump his front paws on the top step as if to say "hurry up Momma!" and when I get there..he rubs his face all over my cheeks and shoulders like giving me a "critter hug".
My furbabies are such comfort when I'm not feeling good. His little dance at the top of the steps always brings a smile even on the hardest of days.

Selling a buch of stuff that was cluttering up my home at a garage sale today. A whole lotta work, but, I have more room! It was a city-wide garage-sale, so there were oodles of people.... that showed-up at 6 am!!! I loved it that so many people brought their pooches with them. My remaining dog didn't care for it so much, though.... But, afterwards, I took him to the dog park AND got him a new one of his favorite rubber chew bones. He needs a new one about every 3 months. I have to go to the only pet store around that carries them that is way far away! But, he has very clean teeth!

Remembering back to the time when I was getting ready to move to California to be with Jackhammer. She spent WEEKS preparing our new house out there: cleaning, laying new carpet, and painting the entire thing. I remember her calling and trying to get exactly the paint colors I wanted, cleaning the windows, trimming the hedges.

She was crabbing a nest for us and thinking back on that will help me make it through a hellacious day at work. :)

Went to the Black and White Ball in San Francisco. It was so much fun! So many beautiful women...omg. I had a great time. We had great food, K.D. Lang and Tony Benette were the star performers. Tons of dancing. All proceeds went to a great cause for SF Schools and I still have a smile on my face!

Two almost grown - still with fluffy feathers on their chests - Chick-a-dees fussing over ONE seed...while they are sitting in my bird feeder where I had just put nearly a gallon of new seed. They made such a mess scooting around and flitting their wings. So close I could almost touch them. Now they're sitting on the edge, tweeting softly, with one leaning against the other while he grooms her. My simple little handmade birdfeeder (from a cereal bowl and dinner platter) has brought me much delight to watch critters that visit.

My pup getting all excited and "lovey-dovey" when I found one of his very first toys (a REALLY squeaky football), his first TINY blue harness, and his itty-bitty tshirt that kept him warm during his first ice storm. He's guarded that toy all day!! And to this day, when I get out his tshirt or "Service Dog" shirt, he's just like a little kid that gets all excited for their favorite coat and he knows which hole to stick his head through. I enjoyed his company today.

My sweet and WONDERFUL neighbor mowed my lawn for me. It was 80+ degrees, humid as HELL - and I just asked her for a couple "swipes" with her riding lawnmover and SHE WENT TO TOWN.

Upper property, lower property... (which NO RIDING MOWER HAS EVER GONE)!

I am just tickled to death!!!

This is a 67 year old neighbor who looks and acts 25 and has found her network of women (widows actually) who travel across country in VANS - calling them their "mini-RV's", and have a damn ball. Very independent women they are.

She just had two women over the weekend she had met on the internet, but never in person - show up right here! (I referred to it as her "Women's Mini-Van FEST"! (OR........ an adult girls "sleep over, slumber party"!) One woman was from California (87) and one from Ohio (baby at 67)! Amazing.

The boy got straight As for the second 6 weeks in a row and finished out the year with 5 As and 1 B for final grades....all sophomore work...and he's ONLY 14!!!!! He has finally turned into such a good kid. Nothing I can take credit for, he did it on his own time and terms. Just darned proud of him.

I am pet sitting my niece's little dog that no one else wanted to watch because he is such a terror in the house. He cant be housebroken, wont stay off off the furniture, jumps on people and almost knocks them over and barks like crazy.

He is sitting pretty on my front porch, on the couch he knows he is allowed on. Others are off limits and he respects that. He has not had a single accident in the house. He has stopped jumping on me and sits and looks up at me when I am working around him and hasnt barked at all today. He is welcomed in my home at any time...

by niece is not...lol...until I train her too! She is the dog's problem, not the other way around...but she is doing the best she can. working FT, raising 2 boys (who act alot like the dog does) and dealing with a bugger of an ex husband.
