So, a little while back, Toxic and I had come home and were in the public courtyard area in front of our apartment building. There were other people around... some kids, some mothers, probably some grounds people.

I noticed that the shorts Toxic was wearing were the type of workout/gym shorts with the snaps up the seams, you know, for easy removal at the gym, I suppose. They reminded me of stripper pants, so I say, "Hey, nice stripper shorts!" Toxic flashes a sly smile, slithers her leg to the side (and trust me, she is not the slithery type so that alone was funny) and says, "Why, yes, yes they are..." and proceeds to pull on the side of her shorts. Later, she said she intended to only undo one of the snaps, to be funny, but she actually ripped her pants completely off of herself. As she stood there in her t-shirt, sneakers, and boxer briefs trying desperately to hold the scrap of fabric in front of her... then behind her... then in front of her... I stood there doubled over with laughter, unable to be of any assistance whatsoever for fear that if I stood up straight, I would literally piss myself. Oh, what a fond (and funny) memory that is!

Just some randomness that I thought I'd share!

I can't cook rice to save my life

1 Part dry rice to 2 parts water (i.e. 1 cup of rice and two cups of water)
Butter to taste
Salt

Bring all ingredients to a boil. When it has boiled to the point where the water is just bubbling on top of the rice, cover the pot. Reduce heat to low simmer. Set the timer for eight minutes and voila, perfect rice!!

Remember if it's Basmati to rinse it a few times before cooking.

Bon apetit!

If I don't have someone to cook for soon, I am going to get chickens!

Other than the fact that I don't like chickens I will then be faced with what to do with the eggs!!

I am scared of fresh eggs. I don't like eggs in general and only use them for baking.

I am being nice, I am not asking for too much, I don't want to be goaded into the chicken thing...but, I can only be pushed so far !

All I'm asking for is a good eater....is that so much?

(I think not)

Ok people, its joke time:

Two old men were sitting in a bar, discussing their wives. The first
said, "Last night, I asked Myrna if we could try sex in a different
position. I wanted to try doing it doggy style."

"Doggy style? Did she go for it?"

"I'll say. I sat up and begged while she rolled over and played dead."

So..

I was having a conversation with three early 20ish girls..

The conversation was about having to change cell numbers because of boys calling them..

Apparently, they go out, meet someone, give them their cell, find out that guy is creepy, or icky, or just NO.... and they ask the guy not to call, but he still calls, so they change their number..

I was almost speachless..

I kept saying... Wait.. you said not to call and he called anyway?

Apparently they Ask?

I couldn't grasp it.. I told them.. When I tell someone not to contact me.. they don't contact me... Ever..

I just shook my head and said... Next time say this... in a very firm voice...

Do NOT contact me, Do NOT call my phone, Do NOT email me... If I want to speak to you, I WILL call you...

Apparently not one of them had thought to actually say.. Don't call me... period.. They say.. they don't want to be a bitch.. It's just easier to change numbers..

Blink...

I would so not survive in their dating world..

True story..

When Mic and I first *met* My ex and I were giving it one more try... (lasted about two weeks) I had very firm boundries with her.. I was in a relationship and was only interested in friendship..

Wanna guess how well my girl respected my boundries? ummm.. ya.. pretty well, what you would expect..

Still, she backed off when I reminded her of them...

Any way.. we were supposed to go get coffe, and someone flaked on me... When I came home there was an email wanting me to come over to her house.. (something she kept trying).. Ya.. no...

I let her know.. you don't stand me up, you don't try to get me to come over to your house when I don't know you, and You don't talk to me again.. Period.. I will contact you when I want to talk to you..

Four months later, I wanted to go dancing.. I didn't really want to go alone, but wasn't really wanting company.. So I emailed her... I'm going to go dancing tonight.. Show up if you want..

Lol.. she did and two months later we had our first date...

Grin.. we just celebrated our one year... She still likes to push, and I still like to back her down..

Newton Davis: Don't you remember the time I... I... I had myself delivered to you in a box for your birthday? And... and the guy I paid to deliver the box screwed up and delivered me to the wrong apartment? And... and how the... the lady who opened the box... uh... freaked out and started screaming? And I ran out of there just as you poked your head into the hall. And... and the next thing I know, this one's bashing me for having an affair with her neighbor, and this one's bashing me for being some kind of gift-wrapped pervert? And... and all I had to protect myself was... was a dozen roses. And... and... and you never even read the note.

Bus Driver: What did the note say?

Newton Davis: I... I'll tell you what it said... it said... marry me, Gwen, I'm lost without you.

Anyways...

I Am Your Tomorrow

I held you softly
As you slept
I held you gently
As you wept
I held you tightly
As you screamed
I stroked your hair
As you dreamed
I wiped the tears
That would not dry
I cried the tears
You would not cry
I took the demons
In your head
And made them
Mine instead
I will forever be
By your side
Don’t turn me away
I am not your Pride
I am not your Pity
I am not your Sorrow
I am here Today
I am your Tomorrow

Seriously. My doorbell just rang. A very sweaty guy was at the door with a bottle of Dawn dishwasher detergent in his hand. I actually answered the door because I am expecting a lawn care guy tonight (who I haven't met). Anyway, he's at the door and two guys are in the SUV. He wants to come in and demonstrate a vacuum cleaner. If he can just demonstrate one more, he'll be done for the day and go home.

I politely declined the Dawn detergent ... and his offer to come into my home to demonstrate a vacuum.

He said, "really? you sure? awwwwwwwwww. shoot!"

I got news tonight that the government program I applied to for possibly funding college came through, so now I only have to find a college to get accepted into and then hopefully this fall I'll be a college student :D

And not only that, I just got a picture of the most amazingly bright and beautiful rainbow I've seen in years ~ its the little things like such a natural beauty splayed out across the sky that can remind us that no matter how ugly things may seem there is always something amazing out there waiting for us to experience it :clap:

Ha!

Several things:

I was HUGELY productive today. The annoying teenager and I got all my boxes and containers down from the garage loft and I've sorted through many of them. It has, repeatedly, occured to me that I own too much stuff. Stuff that I paid movers to drag from one coast to the other and have since then dragged at least 3 other times in local moves. I am, however, having difficulty turning my brain off. It keeps going back to the boxes I have not yet gone through. The off switch has been relocated and no one left me directions. :blink:

I am primarily, according to Jess' doohickey, right brained but can, with effort and eye squinting, engage the left brain. Good to know. :thumbsup:

I lost a ton of hair during my shower tonight. I wonder what's up with that. I'm thinking I really need to see if anyone, anywhere is making my old vitamin. It was so awesome but everyone stopped carrying it around these parts.

I'm trying to remain conservative in terms of moolah for my upcoming yard sale but I really think I'm going to do well with this one. The funny thing about the PNW versus the South in terms of yard and garage sales is that, with identical merchandise, I can make tons more in the South. Southerners love to bargain but they will actually pay for stuff. Up here, people routinely donate expensive, still tagged items to thrift stores, so I guess they feel that all yard sale stuff should be a dollar or less, since it's not in a store...maybe. I really don't know.

I'm up way too late now and now that the laundry is going, it's going to be another hour before I'll get to bed. *sigh*

I am lucky to have a friend/co-worker like the one I have.. This is Pride weekend in San Diego and my work is nuts.. We are both running around like crazy, in the middle of it, a customer refered to me as "she", my co-worker says, "um, you mean *he*?".. lol.. I didn't hear it happen, she told me later. She was also getting all upset about how many "she's" I was getting.. It's nice to work with someone that gets it.

Just to give you a picture of my co-worker, 24 year old straight girl that looks 12 and acts all shy but is pure spunk and fire beneath.. lol. Sad part today.. We got the word from corprate that the two cute 24 y/o straight girls with ghetto boottie can't wear the short shorts and fishnets they've been trying to pull off the last two weeks.. roflmao..

They were both very upset, as am I, although I have to admit to being somewhat relieved.. It's hard enough trying to balance sexual harrassment in the work place when you work in adult retail.. Double hard with two cute lil girls with ghetto bootie walking around. lol

Oh! Another one about my coworker.. At one point, I'm stuck at the register and she is helping a customer, all of a sudden I hear, "Does anyone here wear cockrings?? He needs help and I don't have a penis." lol.. Some lucky guy got to help him out.. He had also just bought a vibrating dildo, a non vibrating dildo, a tub of Elbow Grease, a bottle of water based lube and some poopers. He had a list. Lucky bastard..

Ah well.. You win some, you lose some..

HAPPY PRIDE!!!!

I just watched this yesterday, MB, and some other videos about small-living. It's really cool and I think I could do it for the trade-off of less of a carbon footprint and saving on utilities. He says on his website (I think that's where I saw it) that you don't have to own your own land; but, unless a friend or relative would let you put it on their property and hook up to their power supply, I don't know how you could do it. There would be zoning issue, too, with that set up. Something to consider, though.

With that particular "home" it looks like he's getting around some stuff by having it on wheels, therefore technically a travel trailer.

Of the small prefab houses I'm interested in the original wee houses (http://weehouse.com/index.html#weeHouse%20Prefab) or Rocio Romero's LV Series (http://www.rocioromero.com/LVSeries/index.htm). Both seem comfortably livable, assuming we are willing to let go of our Western devotion to the clutter of stuff. As a minimalist, I think I could do it.

Sometimes I think I would like to trade all our casual informality, dispensing of meaningless social customs, instant familiarity, and obsession with the nouveau for something older, more formed, and more formal; a return to civility, honor, integrity, manners and social custom. My heart cries out for a 21st century Eleanor of Aquitaine to influence our world with the same brilliant depth, breadth, and imagination. Why can we not see that in order for our cathedrals to soar, our buttresses to fly, we must have a structure to support the weight lest we become a pile of rubble with time and weather that shelters no one?

After watching Annie last night, and fully understanding the Plot {Closed Captioning nowadays}
Every now and then I'd mumble "are u kidding me with this ?"
And since I got time to waste, I'll show u what I came up with

Dumb Dog {As thought by SANDY}

Dumb dog,
Why are you following me?

{Dumb bitch, why did u rescue my ass?}

I ain`t got a crumb dog,

{Wasn't asking..}

How about lettin` me be?

{You started it by defending meee}

I ain`t gon-na feed you,
Ain`t got a scrap for you.
Need you.

{U seem to need food more than me,
Are these insults really needed?}

Don`t give a crap for you.

{ditto}

Dumb dog dumb-er than they come dog.

{Fake reddddd, lice-infested idiot}

You`re the most presumin` dog
That a human could know.

{You're one to Talk,
I need roof so...lead the waaaaay}

Sandy {as thought by SANDY}

Fifi, That ain`t a name for this mutt.

{I got a few names for u, twit}

So how about Champion?
Champion you`re anything but.

{Look who's fuckin' talkin}

We could call him Tiger, But there`s no bite in him,

{Aww, Rawrrr, baby}

Tiger!Kittens would frighten him.

{U and me, bitch, out back, let's go}

Rover! When you think it over,
Rover is the perfect name for this dumb look-in` dog.

{Again with the insults...I like rover though, weeeee}

Sandy, Sandy`s his name if you please.

{Someone smack her wig off, please}

If you don`t be-lieve me ask anyone of the fleas

{or her Lice, it was a sudden decision, I'm hungry 'nuff said}

Residing on Sandy,
True he ain`t pedigreed, Sandy, there ain`t no better breed.

{Oh now she's nice, fake hypocrite}

And he really comes in handy,
`Specially when you`re all alone in the night
and you`re small and terribly frightened it`s
Sandy, Sandy who`ll always be there!

{U bettah recognize Bitches...}

Dear Cold Case episode -

I can't take watching the episode of the girl dressing like a boy, feels like she's a boy, who likes boys, being put in a 'rehab' clinic and 'forced' to change. This is too sad for me. The doctors saying they were going to perform electroshock...

I think it gets to me because I know it was how it was back then when it was a 'disease'.

This episode is going to make me cry before it's over. I know it.

I saw an infomercial last night as I was sitting there wide awake again, and I am not one to buy things from infomercials; especially for a Joan Rivers product, but this one REALLY tempts me!!

I have trichotillomania (a hair pulling disorder), and she has a product that basically covers your scalp area in the places where your hair is thin. My hair never grew back in good on the back of my head (where I used to pull from a lot over the years) and I REALLY think this would disguise the effects of my disorder.

I just found it interesting....lol...and kind of amusing since I am not a big fan of Joan Rivers and all of her crazy inventions...lol

As much as I enjoy debating his writings to the raw Bone Marrow of it all..
I agree with Stephen Hawkins

"To my mathematical brain, the numbers alone make thinking about aliens perfectly rational. The real challenge is to work out what aliens might actually be like." He believes alien life not only certainly exists on planets but perhaps even in other places, like within stars or even floating in outer space. He also warns that a few of these species might be intelligent and threaten Earth. Contact with such species might be devastating for humanity. "If aliens visit us, the outcome would be much as when Columbus landed in America, which didn't turn out well for the Native Americans," he said. He advocated that, rather than try to establish contact, man should try to avoid contact with alien life forms.
