Kaison is my great great Nephew
He was born premature and had many problems with breathing and his hips are not right. He recently came off the breathing machines but still is in need of braces for his legs and soon will have casts from his hips down. But he is doing much better.
My request is for a lil energy or prayer to go his way from you if you will please.
Thank you so very much.

I am waiting for the Direct TV installer. Why does there have to be a four hour window? And then 2 to 4 hours for the install? But, I shan't whine. I will finally have television tonight, after three weeks. Strangely, I never watch television. But since I've not had it, all I've wanted was to turn it on.

♦ Honey enjoys a mystical reputation around the world. Colonists introduced honey to North America in the 1600s. Some accounts say that Native Americans referred to the honeybee as the “white man’s fly” because it followed the settlements across the continent.
♦ In the middle ages, honey was believed to promote the birth of a male child, which was considered lucky as a first-born. On their wedding day, the father of the groom would give the couple enough honey to last a month (a moon), assuring that the child conceived during the first days of marriage was a boy - HONEY MOON!
Today, they came and picked up my former dishwasher......in exchange, Mr. Grant has taken up residence for a VERY short while on my kitchen counter. He makes me smile. :eyebat:

Telling the nurse at the doctor's office that you don't like her at all will get you chastised like a child by the doctor.
I deserved being chastised, probably.
I still don't like the nurse, she doesn't listen to anything I tell her; as though her nursing degree trumps my 31 years in this body.

I went with My mom and sister Cheyenne today to see Sesame Street Live and it was amazing, and of course she got a few things as souvenirs ~ she got an Elmo balloon, a music CD of the original show, a green flag with Elmo/Big Bird/Cookie Monster on it, and a very cool Elmo hat

Oh, the Places You'll Go!
You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
You're on your own.
And you know what you know.
And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go.
You won’t lag behind, because you’ll have the speed.
You’ll pass the whole gang and you’ll soon take the lead.
Wherever you fly, you’ll be the best of the best.
Wherever you go, you will top all the rest.
I'm sorry to say so
But, sadly it's true
That bang-ups and hang-ups
Can happen to you.
On and on you will hike, And I know you’ll hike far
and face up to your problems whatever they are.
You’ll get mixed up of course, as you already know.
You’ll get mixed up with many strange birds as you go.
So be sure when you step.
Step with care and great tact
And remember that Life’s a great balancing act.
Just never forget to be dexterous and deft.
And never mix up your right foot with your left.
Will you succeed?
Yes you will indeed!
(98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.)
~Dr. Seuss

People with blue eyes have a single, common ancestor, according to new research.
A team of scientists has tracked down a genetic (http://www.livescience.com/health/060529_mm_genes.html) mutation that leads to blue eyes. The mutation occurred between 6,000 and 10,000 years ago. Before then, there were no blue eyes.

I realize I have my share of struggles and obstacles to overcome, demons to face, and daily annoyances that I try to deal with gracefully. But sometimes I'm just struck by the beauty of life and the blessings that are constantly showered down on me.
I'd like to just take a quick second to roll around in the gifts that abound like family and friends and loved ones, furry critters, an immensely curious disposition that constantly leads me on crazy adventures and this odd life I've created.
I am thankful.

I went to see "The Kids Are All Right" earlier this evening......
It was a profoundly moving movie.....the cinematography (if that's the correct word) was so brilliant....showing every freckle and wrinkle....making the characters real.
I laughed. I sobbed. I was moved. I was pissed off. But I was mesmerized by the wonderful story of this family.....and how 'normal' they were. It inspired me beyond belief.

10 things I hate about you poem
I hate the way you talk to me,
and the way you cut your hair.
I hate the way you drive my car,
I hate it when you stare.
I hate your big dumb combat boots
and the way you read my mind.
I hate you so much it makes me sick,
it even makes me rhyme.
I hate the way youre always right,
I hate it when you lie.
I hate it when you make me laugh,
even worse when you make me cry.
I hate it when youre not around,
and the fact that you didnt call.
But mostly I hate the way I dont hate you,
not even close
not even a little bit
not even at all.

I agree, Diva!
I watched this today, too! I thought it was very real in some places, relatable in others, and just horrendously gut wrenching in others...
I had wondered how my children felt/thought about things in the 16 year relationship I/we was/were in...the most amazing thing of it was--I went to the movies with her (ex)! We both laughed and cried and it was very healing and eye opening to some things we'd overlooked or taken for granted...
This is the best movie I have seen depicting real life experiences with children in the lesbian lifestyle I have ever seen...
I'm glad I went.

ane Lynch is thrilled with the new wax figure of her "Glee" alter ego that was debuted at Hollywood's Madame Tussauds Wax Museum Wednesday morning (Aug. 4), but in true Sue Sylvester fashion, has a wry comment ready.
"I was very, very honored ... at least I was until I saw they did Kim Kardashian," she jokes with Zap2it in July.
At the actual unveiling, however, she reacts with genuine shock at the resemblance.
"Holy crap. Unbelievable," she says in front of a crowd of screaming fans. "This is too much. This is too weird. I feel like I'm seeing myself in a coffin or something. Thank you so much!

Just watched the movie Short Circuit for the first time in like 20 years.. Wow.. cute movie but very very 80's.. lol. I think that Steve Gottenburg really was in just about every movie for a while there.
Was kinda nice and you know, I get so many of the garbled english jokes that the "Indian" guy says (was really a white guy with a bad bad Indian accent). Heh.. at one point he said scrotum insted of Scroder(spl). Yeah, at another point he replaces enemy with enama(spl).. lmao.. You can't get that kinda humor in movies these days.
All in all, an hour and a half well spent. Thank you hulu.com!
PS- I do remember that the 2nd movie really sucked.. So not going to watch that one again.. Once when I was 11 is enough, thanks..

I am no longer angry at the colored ink for existing without the black ink. As it seems that at $20.00 a cartridge (per color) it's best to simply have to purchase one. But I still don't know how to change my print color setting.
Now back to studying, printing and hopefully retaining information.

My lil 3 lb. Chihuahua is afraid of storms. She escaped from her kennel area and came running upstairs at like 5am and crawled in bed with Mom & Dad. She's such a baby. I love her.

Random thought of the day....
I'm drinking a yummy cherry AMP energy drink, and thinking it would taste a whole lot better with some vodka in it.

If you don’t know what a knob does, don’t fool with it.
Tonight, I drove to San Antonio in the Mom~Mobile to take my daughter her things. We unloaded all of it into her "new place", shared with 2 cousins ~ a guy and a girl.
The girl's Mom was also there and we all hit it off nicely.....so much so that I invited them all to dinner. We had a grand time and found we have much in common....not to mention the fact that the Mom lives in Austin!
I feel much better about the situation, even though her bedroom is teeny~tiny! Overall, the house is very neat!

Well, after 20 hours of moving things around and packing and driving loads of stuff here and there, 10 boxes and 4 rubber tubs being mailed out, with another 10 boxes waiting semi-patiently for tomorrow (today?) to roll around...I am tired. *yawn*

We saw a fire in the neighbors yard so we whipped out the binoculars to see what was going on and we find a gaggle of drunk boys drinking themselves into an oblivion...and the best part? One of them is passed out on a bench and the others are drawing on him with markers and taking pictures. HAHAHAHA. Yes, we're spying. And yes, it's hysterically awesome.

Well, the fire caught our attention and made us look. We wanted to make sure it wasn't a random fire that required emergency services (at first, it looked like their car was on fire). Turns out, the drunk boys had a little fire grate set up in their driveway behind the car and they were burning random things.
After they finished covering their passed out buddy in marker, they pulled chairs up to the fire and we stopped looking to let them have their fun.
No need for 911 and we got some good giggles out of it. I just wish I could see that poor, poor guy when he wakes up. He is COVERED in marker. HAHAHA!

You'll have to keep an eye on YouTube. If they videotaped it, you can bet it'll show up there, lol.

why is it that when Massi & i are skyping, i get the yawns even if i'm not sleepy?
:twitch:
Today, I went on an afternoon outing (in this 102 degree heat!) with Ms. Tabitha.......
It was serious. There was a sale!
We went to Hancock Fabrics where I found the sweetest apron pattern! But the best part of all? Their lamps were on sale and I found two lovely lamps for The Quiet Room for $30!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And they are perfect...just as I knew they would be!
Then we went to Kerbey Lane Cafe.....for....as we ALL know, that kind of shopping makes one hungry. Suffice it to say that I will not eat again until I go to Little Rock. :eyebat:
I blame Ms. Tabitha.......and Ivar, our waiter, who flips his beard up in a mystical way which I'm pretty sure makes one order more food than originally planned. He is Satan.
I am wondering if this zipcar concept is a good deal. You rent a brand new car an hour at a time for a set rate. Yearly membership dues seem reasonabe. Hourly rental is reasonable unless you want a Bentley. They pay for gas and insurance. You pay the first 500 on any accidents/damages.
I wonder if anyone has tried this.

Zipcar is awesome. It's perfect for urban folks that don't want the hassle or the cost of owning and parking a car.
My close friends live by Zipcar. They love it and it's fun being able to try out those different cars without the huge rental fees.
Love!
