whilst removing 1500 layers of paint from 30000000000000000 million hinges, I noticed somethings..

Part of the hinge looked like hello kitty's face....

and

My gloves were melting from dipping my hand into the soaking vat..

So.. I'm looking at hello kitty and thinking.. I'm melting.. which we all know brought a certain movie to my mind...

Helooooo Kitty.. I'm melting... Oh look.. hello kitty... I'm melting..

I thought.. where Qwork and the Sureal Thread when a girl needs it..

Ummmm, Random, hon.... I think the fumes may be gettin' to your head! Careful there darlin'!! You shoulda seen me when I got high off of tile mastic while putting down new flooring in the gymnasium at Job Corp. I'd NEVER been high in my life... but that day I acted like the student that huffed freon from the air conditioners! (Thinking back, I think I killed some brain cells when I was seein' hello kitty in the designs on the floor tiles!)

OH MY WORD!! LOL
Bending over a 5gal bucket of mastic is EXACTLY how I got high!
I was sitting on the gym floor cross legged...with a bucket that was almost empty... mastic is VERY sticky... so I clamped my legs around the bucket and reached in with the trowel with my head just above the bucket... it only took a few moments to make me "VERY LOOPY!"

Lesson: Be careful bending over buckets!
Ya don't wanna be as LOOPY as Ms. Sweet in her pink hardhat and oversized steel-toed boots!

Ohhhh Gemmie! YOU ARE OVER THE TOP!!
But I LOVE it!
No proof of event.... only pictures taken by the boss of me standing ontop of a 6' high cinder-block wall just when I was about to rip into the kid that was high on freon, when he nearly knocked me off said wall.

The boss didn't make me 'fore-woman' without good cause! Making me fore-woman is why he said I had to wear a pink hardhat...so he could pick me out of the crowd!!! (HEY, I was the only woman and the only one with size DD bra!!...why did I need that hardhat... cuz I really admired Mr. Baldwin and it was all in good fun!) But I was FUNNY ontop that wall...all scared of heights and grabbing onto the nearest fence pole while I screamed at that kid. All in good fun!!! I learned SO MUCH at Job Corps, not just my trade.... but how to get high WITHOUT even trying! LOL!!

Are the steel-toed boots pink too? I wanna see. :)

Nope, sorry sweetie... Job Corps wasn't accustomed to women requesting to be in construction trade classes, so they only had large men's size boots and large uniforms (I was less than 100lbs... so I had LOTs of room in my boots and uniform!)... ohhhh my feet hurt so bad!! But I think my big boots and sassy-ness kept me from falling off that wall!

set them free.
If they return, they were always yours.
If they don’t, they never were.

Mariah Carey - Butterfly

When you love someone so deeply
They become your life
It's easy to succumb to overwhelming fears inside
Blindly I imagined I could
Keep you under glass
Now I understand to hold you
I must open up my hands and watch you rise
Chorus

Spread you wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly (Oooh)
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were meant to be, so spread your wings and fly
Butterfly
Verse 2

I have learned that beauty
Has to flourish in the light
Wild horses run unbridled
Or their spirit dies
You have given me the courage
To be all that I can
And I truly feel your heart will
Lead you back to me when you're
Ready to land
Chorus

Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly (Oooh)
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me, we truly were meant to be
So spread your wings and fly (spread your wings and fly)
Butterfly (butterfly)
Bridge

I can't pretend these tears
Aren't overflowing steadily
I can't prevent this hurt from
Almost overtaking me
But I will stand and say goodbye (stand and say goodbye)
For you'll never be mine
Until you know the way it feels to fly
Chorus

Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly (Oooh)
Fly abandonedly into the sun (fly to the sun)
If you should return to me (I will know you're mine)
We truly were meant to be (spread your wings and fly)
So spread your wings and fly
Butterfly (my butterfly)
Chorus

Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were meant to be (you and I)
So spread your wings and fly (spread your wings and fly)
Butterfly
So flutter through the sky
Butterfly
Fly
Spread your wings and fly
Butterfly.

Today is my parents 59th Wedding Anniversary.

My Mom wanted me to look up this poem for her and my father - and print it for them. I would just like to share it here too.

I was very fortunate (and I know I mention this often, my love for them) to have such wonderful, loving and caring parents. They truly have become my best friends. And if it wasn't for them, HONESTLY - I really wouldn't fully understand what "unconditional love" IS, as I now know it to be.

So, I thank them for ALL they've given to me, to us kids.

Please open and read if you like. SMILE... I like to share!

The Exorcist

Friedkin William, the director of The Exorcist, went to great lengths to keep his cast off balance and on edge so that the intensity would translate onto the screen. He was known to have crew members sneak up behind actors and fire air guns to scare them. When Linda Blair and Ellyn Burstyn had to film scenes involving harnesses, he demanded that they both be shaken more violently and longer than necessary; they were both injured in the process. Father Dyer, who was played by a real priest rather than an actor, was smacked in the face by the director right before a scene.
Father O'Malley, the priest who played Father Dyer, was involved in the case that inspired the movie. He claims that the plot of the movie is based on an exorcism of a young boy in Maryland and that the movie is 80 percent factual.:devil:

Funny story....I lived on the end in a one level tri-plex and the people in the middle had their kitchen backed up to our living area. They left a soda in the freezer and forgot about it and it exploded. From our side, it sounded like a gun shot. We tried calling them and, when they didn't answer, knocked on their door. No answer. A call to the landlord and his call to the police later..... :blink:

What You Mean To Me

by Baby Bad

I never came here looking for a single soul.
But now that I found you I want you to know

I had forgotten how to smile, how to laugh, how to be me
I had forgotten the sweet pleasure of a heart filled with glee.

I was intoxicated with life... work and family
Never stopping for fun... it just wasn't there you see.

Since I have found you... it's been a complete turn around
I smile and laugh again... not much gets me down.

I get excited when I see you on
Wondering what today we will do...

Chatting, laughing and the games we play
You make my every day.

It seems so silly on just a machine
How someone can reach you... become your everything.

Sex is the safest tranquilizer in the world. It is 10 times more effective than Valium.

Only 55% of all Americans know that the sun is a star

In Michigan, it is illegal to chain an alligator to a fire hydrant.

Avocado is poisonous to birds

The Pig might have the Longest Orgasm, but the Lion fucks at least 40 times a day.

You will burn about 300 calories during one hour of sex. Add another 130 calories if you start with an hour of foreplay

Istanbul, Turkey is the only city in the world located on two continents

German chocolate cake is NOT from Germany. It's named after an American named Sam German.{Ok, but still..40 times a day screwing?}

Charlie Chaplin once lost a Charlie Chaplin look-a-like contest.Never made it to the Finals.

Your earlobes line up with your nipples.{Yes, Yes, back to the Lions , pleez}

In 1980, at a Las Vegas hospital, workers bet on when patients would DIE, and were accused of KILLING patients to win the bets.

The Bible is the number one most shoplifted book of all time.

If a statue in the park of a person on a horse has both front legs in the air, the person died in battle; if the horse has one front leg in the air, the person died from battle wounds; if the horse has all four legs on the ground, the person died of natural causes. {Stop measuring your ears, dang *L*}

Seth McFarlane, the creator of Family Guy, was supposed to be on one of the planes on 9/11.

Iguanas, Koalas and Komodo dragons all have two penises.{Strange..but curious}

Over 2500 left-handed people a year are killed from using equipment made for right-handed people.

In Hong Kong the wife of a husband who commits adultery is legally entitled to kill the mistress in any manner desired - but she may only murder the husband with her bare hands.

You're more likely to die on your way to buy a lottery ticket than you are to actually win the lottery.{Hmm, 2 weenies, disturbing}

A serial killer in India was charged with murder. He was only 8 years old.

When a person is tickled, the response is actually a form of panic, as the brain interprets the tickling sensation as produced by spiders or other creepy crawlies on your skin - the uncontrollable laughter is a response to panic. {That must explain why I hate being tickled}

Polar bear fur is not white, it's clear. {Yes, but what about those Lions??}

Farmville players outnumber real farmers in the US by a ratio of 60 to 1. {Ok, you got me there}

Colgate faced big obstacle marketing toothpaste in Spanish speaking countries because Colgate translates into the command 'go hang yourself.'

When I think about it, the lyrics to songs have been responsible for some profound moments of enlightenment in my life. The music styles are very eclectic but through all of them some snippet of lyric was a catalyst for the moment of critical mass of understanding that had been brewing in the subterran. They brought realization to understanding.

In no particular order (other than the 1st one) and 10 because yah gotta stop somewhere:

"The World is What You Make It" Paul Brady
"Soak Up the Sun" Sheryl Crow
"Closer" Nine Inch Nails
"Terrible Lie" Nine Inch Nails
"Jesus Build My Hotrod" Ministry
"Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head" BJ Thomas
"Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" JS Bach
"Drive" Melissa Ferrick
"Closer to Fine" Indigo Girls
"It Ain't Me Babe" Bob Dylan

Then thou, whose shadow shadows doth make bright,
How would thy shadow's form form happy show
To the clear day with thy much clearer light,
When to unseeing eyes thy shade shines so!
How would, I say, mine eyes be blessed made
By looking on thee in the living day,
When in dead night thy fair imperfect shade
Through heavy sleep on sightless eyes doth stay!
All days are nights to see till I see thee,
And nights bright days when dreams do show thee me.

–William Shakespeare

I am so sleep deprived from trying to get packed up for this journey, that actually driving 1200 miles is going to be restful.

I am so tired of trying to figure out what all can fit in my car that it's a new resolution for 2010 to try to learn how to travel light.

Blossom saw the suitcases. She is beside herself with excitement!

Here's the two-day beach trip tally: 35 total hours, including 13 in the car; 18 minutes at the actual gulf-side beach; six oysters on the half shell; one sunburned arm; two still-white legs; 2 diapers changed; 10ish bottles delivered; countless amounts of sand between the toes; 1 raging headache (which shall be attributed to 15 re-runs of Barney) that was alleviated by four ibuprofen and one awesome shower. Bottom line: One priceless trip with one of my besties and her two awesome kids!!!!!

And by party I mean using a multi-page audit tool and doing extensive chart review of all of my charts that have been opened or closed in this fiscal year. Which will take ALL day and maybe a whole other day too.
I think she is only calling it a party because pizza will be involved and we get to wear jeans.
