Last night I lay in bed looking at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling?!
So, I see Farmer's Market is open today {weds. & saturday mornings}, and I felt adventurous..Told receptionist I was gonna Hunt for a Drink..to tell my techie i brb...
I waltzed over...they dont accept debit, they accept EBT... :seeingstars:
Bumped into a relative that happily asked "why are u in the Market, and not hooked up yet?"
My response ? "5 more minutes wont kill me, it's such a nice day...U got 2$? I pay u when u pay me for your dogs treats..I'm jonesing for a homemade popsicle..."
"is that a yes? and u're late for work, sooooo....?"

I'd like to dedicate this to my lady! She's almost done with another semester of school and the last few weeks have been really difficult but she's hung in there, despite the distractions around her. She turns my world on with just a smile, she's never afraid to let everyone know how she really feels! And even though the world is sometimes a scary, unfriendly place she jumps up each day to take on new challenges and trudges onward. I'm proud of her.

A new Public Supermarket opened in Manhattan,NY. It has an automatic water mister to keep the produce fresh. Just before it goes on, you hear the distant sound of thunder and the smell of fresh rain. :rainsing:
When you pass the milk cases, you hear cows mooing and you experience the scent of fresh cut hay. :farmcow: :farmer:
In the meat department there is the aroma of charcoal grilled steaks and brauts.
In the liquor department, the fresh, clean, crisp smell of tapped Miller Lite. :drunk:
When you approach the egg case, you hear hens cluck and cackle and the air is filled with the pleasing aroma of bacon and eggs frying. :farmeggs: :farmchicken:
The bread department features the tantalizing smell of fresh baked bread & cookies. :cooking:
I don't buy toilet paper there anymore.

So Ya know (or maybe Ya don't) that I moved into my childhood home.....
And I've begun to purge with a passion....and I'm out in the garage, going through my Dad's old books...most of them religious commentaries...and I pick up a book that's called The Power of Love: Concentrated Virility Foods.......
Chapter 1: Food & Sex..................
And I'm like.......:eyebrow:.......then...:|............
And I think....should I put this in the same box as the religious commentaries....which I'm going to drop off at his old church (the church in which **I** grew up)?????

~*~Translucent Eyes~*~
I gaze into your translucent eyes,
As my mind is drawn within.
A world of many truths and lies,
Reflecting now and then.
Your secret desires never told
Of things you've wished to be
Protective walls built very strong
Created for personal safety
A glimpse of Innocence shining through
From things you do not know
Yet an unwavering sense of maturity
Of which you clearly show
Hidden emotions of fearful thoughts
Tucked away for none to see
Those making you feel vulnerable
From being all you can be
A proud secure woman, head held high
With integrity and confidence
You present yourself with pride and grace
That everyone can sense

I see lots of things in my backyard when I'm out there with the pups, but for the first time today, I saw a butterfly. It was a beautiful one, colors ranging from midnight blue to turqouise. It meant something to me. It actually was a direct answer to a question for me.
What it wasn't, however, was a harbinger of a good day. Man, things went to hell after that, with problems with my lawnmower and weed whacker, and running behind all day. BUT, it ended up great because I'm with my besties for the night and a couple hours closer to tomorrow's destination.
Overall, a good day.

I finally got the call today for My gallbladder surgery: May 14th @ 1:30pm I will be in surgery and will be in the hospital for 5-7 days afterwards (because they are cutting Me open to do so) ............. Ok.....it's official......I have lost my mind!
I've been doing The Major Purge~a~Rama at Your Chez Diva for the past few months.....I've been moving SOME of this stuff around with me for years!!!
And I have a pretty serious collection of Beanie Babies (oh the joys of being a teacher!).....I had 2 boxes which I thought I'd consolidate into one big Rubbermaid tub. (No, as a matter of fact, I'm NOT getting rid of them!) Dumped one box.....lovely. Dumped the 2nd box ~ which was bigger ~ and at the bottom of that box (which became the top of the tub!) fell ~ oh, probably 100 letters....old letters! They date back from the early-mid 1940's! And they are from a young Marine to his mother. She lived in Iowa. He was stationed in CA. His first name is my daughter's first name!
I know. Eerie.
Here's the deal.......I don't know WHO this guy IS! I don't know WHERE those letters came from!!!!!!! (I swear, if ANY of You say...."They came from California, Diva" I'll smack You over the head with a big ol' smackin' thang!!! I mean it! ;) )

I'm waiting for my mind to clear.
When that happens I can safely take a shower to wash away the freakish hair.
As for the dog, she's eaten and been walked and is currently staring a hole through me as I write (I'm not making eye contact though)...

So. I channelled Pinkie Lee last night and bought a box of wine.
:|
I know.
And usually I just punch the perforated place and pull the little twisty thing out and stick it in the freezer, right? But I was having difficulty doing that for some reason. The perforation place was hangin' on for dear life.
SOooooooooooooooooooo...............
I got my handy~dandy trusted lime~green box cutter, right? And I just helped it along a little and stuck it in the refrigerator.
Fast forward 1 hour......
I open the door to get a glass and the shelf on which the box sits is a little pool of red wine......it had dribbled down even, into the produce drawer...what a MESS!
It seems in my enthusiasm to get to that wine, I knicked the plastic bag inside (I cannot bring myself to say "bladder", thank You.) and created a slow leak.
I have one pitcher. It had a little bit of juice in it, which I dumped into a glass. And now, I have one pitcher, 3 big mason jars and 2 drinking glasses full of chillable red wine sitting on the now~clean shelf (with a matching clean produce drawer, I might add)......
Life is good. :dozey: (Though there WAS about a half a glass WASTED in the spill....<sigh> )

This message brought to you by a growly (read:yep, I napped) girl who is definitely discombobulated. Oh yes and I need (yes, need) chocolate.

Healing the Heart
Open your heart, for it wishes to be free.
To enliven your Spirit with endless joy.
It wishes to sing and dance and forget that it was ever closed in the first place.
This dance of joy also wishes to enliven and heal those around you,
for nothing furthers compassion more than to share it.
Your heart has wings you see, to let your Spirit soar within it's infinite light of Joy.
So open your heart to loving and being loved, for that is the only way that it can heal.
Whatever it takes, open your heart.

I say something similar: "OH MY. LOOK AT THE PUPPY!" no matter how old the dog is.
I have a book of puppies that I keep in my desk at work that whenever I get in a foul mood I can pull out and giggle. Co-workers think I am weird.

We can only help make our lives and our world more peaceful, when we ourselves feel peace. Peace already exists within each of us, if we only allow ourselves to feel its comfort. Peace of mind begins when we stop thinking about how far we have to go, or how hard the road has been, and just let ourselves feel peace. Peace of mind gives us the strength to keep trying and keep walking along the path that we KNOW is right for our lives.
-- Robert Alan
People say "I want peace." If you remove I (ego), and your want (desire), you are left with peace.
-- Satya Sai Baba
If there is light in the soul, there will be beauty in the person. If there is beauty in the person, there will be harmony in the house. If there is harmony in the house, there will be order in the nation. If there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world.
-- Chinese Proverb
Peace starts within each one of us. When we have inner peace, we can be at peace with those around us. When our community is in a state of peace, it can share peace with neighboring communities, and so on. When we feel love and kindness towards others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace.

That made me happy because it reminded me of the Austinites I hold so dear in my heart. The little bugger then followed that with "...since we're the Marilyn Manson of radio stations..."

I always found Stephen Hawking (famous astrophysicist) fascinating. But he kind of caught me off guard with his warning about contacting aliens from space.Well,I haven't been trying, much. But he is right in a lot of ways.I do think they are far more advanced than humans, and if they know we exist they might try to take over our planet,or worse, destroy the human race.Mercy.We must fight them, then.
I suppose that's what Spock meant by "Good Luck".

A day of rising early, baking, dipping strawberries in chocolate, cooking brunch, cleaning up after brunch and being pretty, witty, charming and gay has left me utterly exhausted (but happy). Best of all, my mother (and others) smiled and enjoyed the merriment...
Now, no more of this for at least another 6 months until Thanksgiving.

So, this black teenage kitty appeared a few days ago. She's scrawny and has a hunchback and never stops meowing. As cats go, she's got a face only a mother could love.
Today, she and my dog made friends..and she decided she likes me. She came in the house everytime I opened the door while I was trying to hang laundry. She seems to enjoy my ankles. She's lonely. She wants to be heard. She smacks up the dog when necessary.
She lets me pet her and isn't feral. I have no idea where she came from. Tonight, I noticed her humpback is due to a large cyst or spongy growth on her shoulder blade. It's not painful to the touch and she's full of energy so I'm not sure what to make of it.
I told her if she's still around in the morning, I'll take her to the vet. Bear in mind, I don't want a cat. They make me itch. They leave hair on my pillow. They get on the counters at night. I like feral cats..who live outside.
The cat and my dog are obsessed with each other and are communicating through the kitchen window. The cats sits on the chair on the patio on the outside of the window..and BLossom sits on the chair at the table in the kitchen. And, they communicate. A lot.
I've been sneaking around my kitchen for the last 3-4 hours. The cat has been eating at the feeders, sitting on the patio chair, and now she's in the entryway off the kitchen. Resting comfortably. She doesn't appear to have plans to go anywhere. I hesitate to have her in the house until she is checked over by a vet..but I feel awful thinking about her out there.
I have company arriving Wednesday. I need a mani/pedi. Blossom is getting a bath and a shave.
Blossom just had a $260.00 surgery bill and needs shots in June. She has an Secondary AV heart block and her vet care is expensive.
I DON"T NEED A $300.00 VET BILL FOR A SCRAWNY HUNCHBACK CAT!!!!
Yet this kitty has adopted us. Blossom has adopted her. Try as I might, I can't NOT like this cat.
Ughhh... I might have been adopted against my will. Again. Sigh, I'm taking a comforter out there for her to sleep on.
.
figures..I stay home cuz it's pissing cats and dogs....and the sun starts shining by 2 pm..

I once had an orange stripped tom cat fall madly, head over ass, in love with a wiener dog who lived across the street..
His love was returned...
It was the strangest thing to watch..
Sis would start pawing at the door and meowing up a storm when his star crossed mate was outside... The lil dog would do a mad dash for our door as soon as she was let out...
Sigh...

Setting the scene:
Early, Monday morning.
Me: Guest bedroom in a twin bed (at my parents)
Me: Rolling over to get comfortable (blissfully sleepy)
The mattress: Not completely centered on the bed. 4 or so inches hanging over the edge of the box spring (unbeknownst to me).
Me: suddenly falling (on my back) slowly as the mattress wedges itself on one side between the bed and me and the closet on the other side.
Me: Panic begins to saturate my being as pillows topple onto me posing possible suffocation issues.
Me: thinking "I'm falling and I can't get up"
Me: wrestling desperately with the top heavy mattress in the hopes of making my way to safety.
Me: Finally finding an *out*
My dog: Staring at me from the other twin bed across the room with a WTF look on her face and utter shock.
Me: Thinking, seriously?
The rest of the morning and day continued on in such a vein. Jealous aren't you?
Uh huh.

My friend called me tonight she was feeling a little "blue" so she said "I called you cause I know you always make me feel better" I thougth that was sweet. She continued the conversation as I'm trying to make her feel better then the bombshell came.. She says, "I'm feeling a little guilty cause everyone says I text too much" she continues to say "I don't text anymore then the next person" (I'm thinking to myself... "OH GOD DON"T ASK ME HOW MUCH I TEXT IN A MONTH" then it she did it.. she had to ask me how much after she told me she texts about 6-7k texts a month she says it's average. Here's were my part that I'm suppose to be "making her feel better" comes into play or NOT....
I swallow and say umm about 300 ... she says..."In a day?" I'm like "No a month" .... she hung up on me.... lmccao

The Law of Attraction states that all forms of matter and energy are attracted to that which is of a like vibration. The implications of this law are vast, and the law holds true for all known Universes. "That which is like unto itself is drawn." The thoughts we hold attract similar thoughts and become large masses of thought called thoughtforms. The general vibration that a person holds is representative of the balance of their thoughts. As we become aware or conscious of our thoughts, we can raise our vibration by setting forth thoughts that are more in harmony with our desires. When our thoughts are in harmony with our highest desires, we are filled with joy and ecstasy. When we learn to set forth our thoughts consciously, we are no longer victims of our own outdated programming. We increasingly attract thought of a higher vibration and raise the level of thought at which we habitually vibrate.

It's not your work to make anything happen. It's your work to dream it and let it happen. Law of Attraction will make it happen. In your joy, you create something, and then you maintain your vibrational harmony with it, and the Universe must find a way to bring it about. That's the promise of Law of Attraction.

If the tubers are still in the ground from last year, they won't push through. We in cold snowy climates, have to dig the tubers up in the fall, and over winter them in a dark 50ish degree place until early summer, and plant them again.
If you did all that, they might just be old and done. If you just bought and planted them, take them back and tell the greenhouse people you want ones that are alive this time.
Hope this helps.
