I'm cooking my veggies for my dinner tonight not really sure what to have...there is so much food I have no idea but will figure something out soon enough..just did laundry today like 2 loads too but finished for a couple of days. Tomorrow the floors get washed and continue with the sewing...maybe a skirt.
A local comic made me think long and hard about sea salt.
Whales have huge dicks {or so marine biologists claim},
Walruses are notorious for having the worlds biggest, then there's elephant Seals with their Incredibly Gooey Boogery Noses, Dolphins....and random fish, like Salmon....when they "fuck", oftentimes {90% of fish anyways}, the male "fertilizes" the eggs externally, which is to say they "Shoot" their Milt, and let the chips fall where they may, won't even get into Fish Poop....sooooo, I wont buy sea salt anymore....thanks..goodnight...

It was nice spending that extra time with them. but, once the goodbyes started, It was rough. especially saying goodbye to my niece. I have been on a research run lately...trying to find books to help me figure these things called "relationships" out. I feel like I keep making the same mistakes over and over again when it comes to communication. Soooo, I found two books that come highly recommended by friends that will help me on this path to better communication and also a better relationship the next time around...some day.
"Receiving Love: Transform your relationship by letting yourself be loved"
and
"The 5 Languages of Love: The secret to love that lasts"
I am very excited to expand my mind and perhaps learn some things about myself that will make me grow and become a better person all around.

The first is in a slideshow format and the second link is in a listed format or, if someone's feeling lazy, just read below.
Items to avoid feeding dogs and why:
Alcoholic beverages-Can cause intoxication, coma, and death.
Avocado-The leaves, seeds, fruit, and bark contain persin, which can cause vomiting and diarrhea.
Bones from fish, poultry, or other meat sources-Can cause obstruction or laceration of the digestive system.
Cat food-Generally too high in protein and fats.
Chocolate, coffee, tea, and other caffeine-Contain caffeine, theobromine, or theophylline, which can cause vomiting and diarrhea and be toxic to the heart and nervous systems.
Citrus oil extracts=Can cause vomiting.
Fat trimmings-Can cause pancreatitis.
Fish (raw, canned or cooked)-If fed exclusively or in high amounts can result in a thiamine (a B vitamin) deficiency leading to loss of appetite, seizures, and in severe cases, death.
Grapes, raisins and currants-Contain an unknown toxin, which can damage the kidneys. There have been no problems associated with grape seed extract.
Hops-Unknown compound causes panting, increased heart rate, elevated temperature, seizures, and death.
Human vitamin supplements containing iron-Can damage the lining of the digestive system and be toxic to the other organs including the liver and kidneys.
Macadamia nuts-Contain an unknown toxin, which can affect the digestive and nervous sy-tems and muscle.
Marijuana-Can depress the nervous system, cause vomiting, and changes in the heart rate.
Milk and other dairy products-Some adult dogs and cats may develop diarrhea if given large amounts of dairy products.
Moldy or spoiled food, garbage-Can contain multiple toxins causing vomiting and diarrhea and can also affect other organs.
Mushrooms-Can contain toxins, which may affect multiple systems in the body, cause shock, and result in death.
Onions and garlic (raw, cooked, or powder)-Contain sulfoxides and disulfides, which can damage red blood cells and cause anemia. Cats are more susceptible than dogs. Garlic is less toxic than onions.
Persimmons Seeds-Can cause intestinal obstruction and enteritis.
Pits from peaches and plums-Can cause obstruction of the digestive tract.
Raw eggs-Contain an enzyme called avidin, which decreases the absorption of biotin (a B vitamin). This can lead to skin and hair coat problems. Raw eggs may also contain Salmonella.
Raw meat-May contain bacteria such as Salmonella and E. coli, which can cause vomiting and diarrhea.
Rhubarb leaves-Contain oxalates, which can affect the digestive, nervous, and urinary systems.
Salt-If eaten in large quantities it may lead to electrolyte imbalances.
String-Can become trapped in the digestive system; called a "string foreign body."
Sugary foods-Can lead to obesity, dental problems, and possibly diabetes mellitus.
Table scraps (in large amounts)-Table scraps are not nutritionally balanced. They should never be more than 10% of the diet. Fat should be trimmed from meat; bones should not be fed.
Tobacco-Contains nicotine, which affects the digestive and nervous systems. Can result in rapid heart beat, collapse, coma, and death.
Yeast dough-Can expand and produce gas in the digestive system, causing pain and possible rupture of the stomach or intestines.
Xylitol (artificial sweetener)-Can cause very low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), which can result in vomiting, weakness and collapse. In high doses can cause liver failure.

Botox and nose drops and needles for knitting,

Cadillac’s and cataracts, hearing aids and glasses,

When the pipes leak, when the bones creak,

Hot tea and crumpets and corn pads for bunions,
no spicy hot food or food cooked with onions,
bathrobes and heating pads and hot meals they bring,
these are a few of my favorite things.
Back pain, confused brains, and no need for sinnin’,
thin bones and fractures and hair that is thinning,
and we won’t mention our short shrunken frames,
when we remember our favorite things.
When the joints ache, when the hips break,
when the eyes grow dim,
then I remember the great life I have had,
and then I don’t feel so bad.

I am dumbfounded about how easy some things (not material things) come for certain people. "They" say that the harder it is the more you appreciate it, that's bullshit because how can you appreciate something you don't have and probably never will. It's not appreciation, it's envy. And it sucks.

Snow in 49 states due to US Winter Storm according to NWS Weather Forecast
Hawaii included
Posted by Alex Madlangbayan on Jan 13, 2011 in United States, Weather
Having snow in 49 states in the US has happened before but not often, according to a report by the National Weather Service (NWS).The winter storm that hit the US on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, has dumped snow in all but one state. It was unusual that Hawaii has been included in the states covered with snow. Florida is the only state that did not experience winter snow. The (NWS) estimated that 70.9 percent of the country is now covered by snow.
According to James Peronto, NWS public affairs officer, last December 2010, the US had an average of 35 percent of snow on the ground. One of the unusual scenario is the presence of snow in Hawaii. NWS estimated the snow on top of Mauna Kea volcano to be about 7 inches. Hawaii also experienced heavy rains that prompt authorities to issue flash flood warning on Wednesday, January 12, 2011.
The winter storm has shut down majority of the Southern area. It caused heavy traffic and forced the cancellation of flights in the Northwest area due to heavy snowfall.
Earlier reports say that school closures and delays were announced due to the winter storm.

You can't make anyone do anything, unfortunately. There are plenty of people I'd love to give a push in the right direction but until they want to do something for their self, you can't do very much.

My uncle died yesterday. He was the most amazing fisherman. When we'd go fishing with the family, it seemed to me he'd no sooner cast in his line and out come a big ole fish. He'd do it again and again...and sometimes he'd even get his picture in our local paper with all his catch. He had a gift.
He was very tall (6'4"), dark and okay not so handsome but he sure had a way with the ladies...which is why my aunt divorced him one day and moved to California.
But I digress...
I will miss my tio Goyo...RIP.

I always liked my 1963 kitchen.....even in the beginning, when it was heinous with it's 2-of-4-burners-working-electrical cooktop and an oven that ran 100-degrees too hot. :| Even with the brown sink and a black dishwasher and gold and white formica.
But today......I'm in LOVE with my kitchen! Slowly but surely, it's turning into a really neat place to bake & cook!

Yay! I found a dead dry lizard at my work on Thursday. I felt so bad for it. I took it outside and put it in the dirt. He was so sad - up against the window with a green garden just on the other side. Doritos has brought back their original 'Taco Flavored' chips (in the original packaging)! Is it sad that this makes me happy and nostalgic?
:football:
My beloved Patriots
failed to execute
a comprehensive, coordinated, successful game plan
against the trash talking Jets.
I am not pleased.
So last night, I went for an extravaganza at my Sissy's house....Mmmmm.....queso and brisket and Diet Root Beer (among other things). AND a new beret, hand knit by The Mini~Berry!!!!! (It's looks great with my "Wild Artist Hair"!)
ANYway.....so I'm on my way home, yes? La, la, la......Josh Groban cranked up to the baby Jeebus (who also loves Josh Groban, btw).....and I'm at the light, about to turn onto the feeder road of I~35. I pull up next to this hot cop. I may have noticed.....
Then the light turns green, the guy ahead of me goes.....so I go, right? Isn't that what one is supPOSED to do?
And all of a sudden.....flashing red lights. :|
I'm thinkin'...oh dear...the red tape over my tail light must have come off in the rain.....(but I wasn't worried cuz I have the NEW tail light in the back seat....in the box.....) And I pull into a parking lot.....the cop (did I mention she was hot) comes up to my car and asks for my license and all that other stuff I have to have. And then she says....."Wait right here."
And off she goes to talk to the guy in front of me, who had also pulled into the parking lot. Don't know why.
Another officer drives up and I'm starting to get a little scared at this point....
The woman officer comes back to me and I asked, "Did I do something wrong?" (Then almost gasped because I've been told never to ask a police officer that for some reason. But I didn't KNOW!)
She said, "Yes, you ran a red light back there..."
:|
She said, the way the lights are set up ~ and I don't know why they did it like that because it IS confusing ~ you were looking at the light at the next intersection. So was the guy in front of you. And you just followed him.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh......oh no, I said.....I'm so sorry. Ok.....(I really wanted to stick my wrists out for her to cuff me, but I refrained.) I apologized again.
She said, "I can't give you a ticket, so I'm just going to warn you to be careful."
:eyebat:
And then, before I drove off, I noticed both officers helping the man in the other car, OUT of the car.....he may have been a little wobbly. :|
Rut roh.
Just another exciting evening in the life of Diva. Any day I have a brush with the law is a GOOD day! Her cuffs may have glistened in the headlights a little.......

r.e. a heart transplant. This is a good thing cuz I'm not sure
how he survived this long without having a heart.
But, then my mind wanders.....and I see Cheney as the tin man,

And then I wonder, which politicians would play which roles in
the rest of the cast?
Karl Rove would have the be the wizard cuz he is a brilliant
yet dangerous strategist. He would also get my vote for
the antichristbut thats a totally different wandering.
And GW would have to be the scarecrow in search of a brain.
After reading his book, "Decision Points", a brain with better
logic circuitry would be good.
The wicked witch would have to be Sarah Palin...
they look alike and both have nasty personalities.
And I can see her barking orders to a group overanxious
tea party flying monkeys.
Barney Frank would be my choice for the Cowardly Lion only
cuz I can see him standing on the House floor saying....

I received this from my dad, not sure who the original author is but it is too funny not to share... Enjoy!
The Pastor's Ass
The Pastor entered his donkey in a race and
it won.
The Pastor was so pleased with the donkey
that he entered it in the
race
again and it won again.
The local paper read:
PASTOR'S
ASS OUT FRONT..
The Bishop was so upset with this kind of
publicity that he ordered
the
Pastor not to enter the donkey in another race.
The next day the local paper headline
read:
BISHOP
SCRATCHES
PASTOR'S
ASS.
This was too much for the Bishop so he
ordered the Pastor to get
rid
of the donkey.
The Pastor decided to give it to a Nun in a
nearby convent.
The local paper, hearing of the news, posted
the following headline
the
next day:
NUN HAS BEST ASS IN TOWN.
The Bishop fainted.
He informed the Nun that she would have to
get rid of the donkey so
she
sold it to a farmer for $10.
The next day the paper read:
NUN
SELLS ASS FOR $10.
This was too much for the Bishop so he
ordered the Nun to buy back
the
donkey and lead it to the plains where it could run
wild.
The next day the headlines read:
NUN ANNOUNCES HER ASS IS WILD AND FREE.
The Bishop was buried the next day.
The moral of the story is . . . being
concerned about public opinion
can
bring you much grief and misery . . even shorten your
life.
So be yourself and enjoy life.
Stop worrying about everyone else's ass and
you'll be a lot happier
and
live longer!
Have
a nice day!

I saw it all during my commute home and when I got home it was still high in the sky and a lovely creamsicle orange color. I went up the stairs, asked Ebon to come downstairs with me, waited for a moment for him to put his shoes on, went back downstairs and it was GONE.
Color me peeved.
It was sure pretty though.

when it comes to relating to the rest of us: Righteous anger. You're
feeling that now, and for good reason. Warn any innocent spectators
to step away before the explosion occurs -- especially since the

I was thinking the other day about surgery....FTM/MTF. Seems to me that FTM surgery would be more advanced than it is since seemingly the main surgeries are chest and figuring out how to make a functional penis.
Seems to me like MTF surgery would be more behind since there seems to be more issues, like body hair and getting rid of the beard and getting breast and vagina just seems MTF's have more things to take care of in order to transition.
But ya know what after thinking about it some, I'm guessing it comes down to privilege.

I know many MTFs Their surgeries were mostly done in Trinidad CO (well known, where most go) and the Phillippines. Some in Canada, It's down to an art and far more functional than FTM

So last night i had the opportunity to watch a player play....made me smile, to think they thought they had good game.
Then i felt ashamed because i was judging the player on only what i saw, not knowing one bit of their behind-the-scenes feelings/stuff.
Then, it made me think about me....i've been called a player, and it hurt. So i tried to think what is it that made me any different than this other playa?
For me, when i was called a playa, i really got my feelings hurt because i knew that i wasn't playin, i was being very real and was feeling very intense feelings toward the person....but all he saw was how i was behaving and stuff like that...he had no way of knowing what i was feeling (i remember telling him i wished i could make him read my brain or something like that).
So, my lesson learned was to stop judging on what i can see on the surface, because i am ignorant about what the real story is. The only person who knows the real story is the person being judged.
How unfair of me.

Awwww man I'm so sad tonight. I friended this guy on facebook almost two years ago and he was always posting pics of him and his dog. So we got to know each other - based on his dog cause everytime he posted a picture of himself it was with his dog - Tater. He'd post a picture and I'd respond saying Hi Kev - give Tater a Tater treat! Well, tomorrow morning he is putting Tater down. She got cancer and it's time. Sigh, so sad :(

Had a funky-weird-confusing Dream this morning....
Somewhat foggy, with random colors....
Almost like petrol spilled in a puddle..
It was lightly raining, for some unknown reason I was balancing on a bannister next to a Venice-like Canals Bridge..
I swore I smelled 'tuberoses'..
A familiar voice chirped 'Be careful', I turned to see who it was and of course lost my balance, a firm grip on my wrist hoisted Me away from a watery disaster, a charming chuckle resonated followed with 'Told ya', I kept trying to see a face, and all was Blurry, the figure started walking away with a smooth swagger, I had a determined sensation and followed, the cobblestone ground disappeared, almost into a black foggy blur, I managed to tap shoulder and asked 'Wait, why did u leave?', a small whisper when turning was replied 'I never left', the figures hand clasped into Mine, a familiar, warm, heart-thundering sensation, and yet as if by unnatural Force..
We both let go..
I suddenly felt myself falling, flailing endlessly as the figure faded, my arms trying to reach, desperate, grasping at foggy clouds, I heard distant church bells louder and constant...
This is where it gets weird..
I could see myself fall and dive into the ocean, waves crashing against a Cliff...
Gets confusing because I can breathe underwater, and see the waves from under , curling and crashing...wondering how I got there, I seemed to get caught in one wave, and wake up on the Floor...In pain {bruised coccyx, owwie}

Do I miss it? With all the excitement of new love, the tensions, the vibrations.... my answer is...not at all... Nothing can compare to long lasting love... which has been tested, which has evolved, which has seen the ups and downs of every day life... and all that means...

Today, Rand Paul declared that he wants to cut education funding by 83% and get rid of the FDA, among other things. I wish my not voting for him would have resulted in him not being elected. What a maroon.
I love, love, love my hospital volunteering gig.....but today was harder than hard....disturbing and difficult........
So this morning, I had my car inspected....and a new tail light installed (probably not in that order).
I have to go back in the morning because my car makes this "eeh~aw~eeh~aw" sound on the rear passenger side (I have witnesses!). My daughter's bf said that I needed a bolt in my bushing. :|
He's awfully fresh, don't You think?
And also, they will check out a sound I heard on Monday evening.....sorta like Willie Wonka talking to the Ooom~Pah~Loompahs under water. And then it lunged three times! My daughter's bf doesn't know about that! No telling what he'd say. I'm getting it fixed before he has a chance to look at it!
Then, I shall have my oil changed and all my other fluids and airs in tires.
I'm taking a trip to the north/central country on Friday and I need to not hear those sounds.
This was a long random thought.....forgive me. But I also bought some stone~washed grey demim ....j.....j.....JEANS!!!!!! I'm not sure why I did that.

My puppies are at 4 weeks now...they are precious, precocious, fiesty lil babies! They run and play and nip at each other and they have these teeny tiny lil growls....oh sooo cutie cute!
At the moment they are penned up in a corner between the sofa and the love seat and they are running and playing with stuffed toys and having a great old time...I'm letting them get tired so they can take a really good nap.
Did I mention they are starting to eat food? Well, kinda, they eat puppy proplan food soaked in weaning milk that I have to feed them each individually (mostly) but they are starting to make their way INTO the plate so they kinda get the idea...oh I just love playing Grammee!
