Someone dropped dead at O/our local grocery store the other day only moments before B. arrived there. W/we heard, at first, that he'd slipped on the floor (it's thick ice and snow here), but I found out today that he'd *simply* overheated whilst walking up the hill to the store and then *just* died.

I can't stop thinking, 'What if that had been B.?' And being grateful that it wasn't, although perfectly understandable, is making me feel like a really, really bad person. Which is stupid, I know, but even so...

Life is so unpredictable. Almost as unpredictable as our responses to it.

I've eaten stuff out of those type of bags. That stuff is marinated in very salty marinades and, over time, it just sinks into it. Glad you are feeling better!

We have been house bound FOREVER!!!!!!

Tommorrow Night...

Unless it is BLACK ICE again.. or five feet of snow..

I'm dragging the girl out for a beer and the best juke box in omaha..

If It's BLACK ICE again.. well.. it will be another night of HGTV and the girl retreating to the bathtub with her book so she doesn't have to watch another Property Virgins...

Is is spring yet?

I hate wearing real coats and closed toe shoes..

I may have started wearing my clippity clop open toes wedges with sox...

And once it hits 22, I'm going back to shaws... Did I say I hated real coats????

Tonight was the first night that my hair was long enought to where I felt like I was actually taking down my hair... Pulling out pins, unbraiding it.. sigh..

Must remind self... You hate short hair... Don't cut it again..

Sigh.. The butch only has 20ish more pages to go in her book... Must respect end of the book time... Must not go bother butch because you are bored..

I love the way that I go back and forth between first and second person..

The Random is amused..

You know I had to throw in third person...

kay.. bed time.. I can legaly go bother the girl....

What is poop made of?:fart:

About 3/4 of your average turd is made of water. Of course, this value is highly variable - the water content of diarrhea is much higher, and the amount of water in poop that has been retained (voluntarily or otherwise) is lower. Water is absorbed out of fecal material as it passes through the intestine, so the longer a turd resides inside before emerging, the drier it will be.:seeingstars:

Of the remaining portion of the turd, about 1/3 is composed of dead bacteria. These microcorpses come from the intestinal garden of microorganisms that assist us in the digestion of our food. Another 1/3 of the turd mass is made of stuff that we find indigestible, like cellulose, for instance. This indigestible material is called "fiber," and is useful in getting the turd to move along through the intestine, perhaps because it provides traction. The remaining portion of the turd is a mixture of fats such as cholesterol, inorganic salts like phosphates, live bacteria, dead cells and mucus from the lining of the intestine, and protein. :runforhills:

as my fingers itch to post an early morning Yap I am not sure how to choose which subject to heading to clutter up: 5 things no one knows, randon posting, or what's on yer mind...

most of what I am tempted to post would fit in any one...maybe I should set up my own rotation schedule and satisfy the itch in each one and then back again?

and, if don't get it right, the itch will be scratched by someone redirecting away from the screen...

or

I could go and start a new purse...(looks around for june) ;>

okay, so I have dulled myself into submission...meaning that I will stop now...

a-l-t-h-o-u-g-h I did have One story I have an unsubmitted yen to share"

to the point:

at one time in my life, and it's been a pretty Long life (thank goodness) so there have been Many Points, I had a 357 magnum...having it dictated that I learn to use it...one time I was at the range...unattactive ear protectors on, flat shoes, long dress---fitting in as much as I am *ever* able to fit and not looking (let me Promise you) in any way appealing, or interesting....I had the gun up, and ready, was squinting to see the damn target, one eye open the other one squinched closed ...what happens? I feel a hand, yes. a. hand. pulling at one of the earprotector cups...I froze and then I heard in the unprotected ear a male voice saying " if you make that bullseye, I'll f**k you"...ohhhhh the clevver and vicious responses which ran through my stunned mind...my self-protectiveness won out as I figured anyone who would say that to a woman with a frigging Gun in her hand, and at a place where everyone had a gun, wasn't someone to get (more) worked up...I just put my gun down...took the ear protectors off and said 'didn't you see I have a gun in my hand'....to which he replied yes, and then went on to tell me how he was an award winning target shooter, and an instructor, and who knows what else because the more he talked the more I kind of fell asleep and just counted the seconds 'till I could get out of there...

now, someone might think that I should have stood my ground and fought or who knows what else...and, that might be right for some poeple...for me, I have one steadfast goal: get out alive and with the least amount of injury...I met my goal...and it added yet one more, 'really??Really" story to my neverending supply of them !! :)

and...on...we...go

one more thing--what are the language rules here?---can I type fuck, or do I have to do something tricky like f**k?...while I don't want to offend, and I really don't since I just don't, I don't feel like I am using my authentic voice (how was *that* for a dramatic statement??) when I have replace a letter with an *....just askin' is all....

So this morning, I go to start my coffee, open the kitchen blinds and look out into the back yard. I was shocked to see my boxer puppy, Frankie :dog:, out in the yard, pouncing from one thing to the next....I was like "what the?" Then it hit me, she had taken all of the shirts I folded after doing laundry last night, that were up on my dining table, mind you, and drug them out the dog door and into the yard to play with. :giggle: I wanted to laugh at her, but then I got pissed :censor: because they were all muddy with paw prints and possibly laying in :crap:.

So, tonight, I will be doing laundry AGAIN!!:explode:

Some people go to the mountain and are contented at the lodge, taking in the beauty and all the possibilities it has to offer... some people aren't contented even yet they want more, they need to climb the mountain. They choose to leave the lodge to travel the death zone to attempt to quench that craving... despite the tax it takes on them, and their families they to risk it all, in name of the almighty "more".

It takes a particular type of person to choose that, and to make it more rare... many who thought they could are still there.

Why did they climb the mountain... because it was there.

Really?

My Duck is Dead?

A woman brought a very limp duck into a veterinary surgeon's office.
As she laid her pet on the table, the vet pulled out his stethoscope and listened to the bird's chest.

After a moment or two, the vet shook his head
sadly and said, "I'm sorry, your duck, Cuddles, has passed away."

The distressed woman wailed, "Are you sure?"

"Yes, I am sure. The duck is dead," replied the vet.

"How can you be so sure?" she protested.
"I mean you haven't done any testing on him or anything. He might just be in a coma or
something."

The vet rolled his eyes, turned around and left
the room.

He returned a few minutes later with a black
Labrador Retriever.

As the duck's owner looked on in amazement,
the dog stood on his hind legs, put his front paws on the examination table and sniffed the duck from top to bottom.
He then looked up at the vet with sad eyes and
shook his head.

The vet patted the dog on the head and took it
out of the room.

A few minutes later he returned with a cat.

The cat jumped on the table and also delicately
sniffed the bird from head to foot. The cat sat back on its haunches, shook its head, meowed softly and strolled out of the room.

The vet looked at the woman and said, "I'm sorry, but as I said, this is most definitely,
100% certifiably, a dead duck."

The vet turned to his computer terminal, hit a
few keys and produced a bill, which he handed to the woman.
The duck's owner, still in shock, took the
bill. "$150!" she cried, "$150 just to tell
me my duck is dead!"

The vet shrugged, "I'm sorry. If you
had just taken my word for it, the bill would have been $20.

However, with the Lab Report and the Cat Scan,
it's now $150."

I'm a great believer in that people always come first,so I have a few thoughts about this killer whale named tilikum. He is such a baaad boy that one.Of course the trainer knew what she was getting herself into every time she got near that whale. He was involved in another murder years before, and maybe a second as well. But as I hear more and more details about this lastest killing,it sickens me.I know that you can't just release him back into the wild,he wouldn't last 48hrs in any ocean. But they can't just keep him now and continue on with the show, like nothing happen.A human life was taken here.If it was me i'd have him put down.I'm a big animal lover too,but once an animal has a taste for human blood,it should not be allowed to go on living. It disturbs me that they wish to keep him alive because he is a good breeder and that he cost millions of dollars. If they do that then they should keep him away from anymore trainers and being in any more shows for the public.I wonder if there were children present when tilikum took out his latest victim. Most likely that would be a yes.I'm serious here but I think there should be one of those emergency glass plated boxes nearby anyone who plays with penned up killer whales..inside an exploding harpoon gun.*Break glass in case of emergency.Just might save somebody's life one day.

It's sad she lost her life, period.

Andrew, Jr.

BornBronson,

I agree with you about that whale. :overreaction: We have literally made all of those sea creatures go crazy in human made containers, and then feeding them dead fish. Oy Vey! They have lost all of their hunting abilities, and their environmental controls. Those creatures have no clue about anything any longer. It is gone. The days of flipper are just Hollywood = not reality. And anyone who knows me, knows I am a huge animal lover. So this just breaks my heart and soul.

All of those poor creatures need to be put down. And this entire let's go swimming with killer whales for $150 for 30 min. is just greed. :censor:

It is normal to have some type of sibling rivalry...Those actions usually change when the growth process happens...I will say this though.
Just food for thought:

I love my sibling dearly..I came from a family where I had 13 siblings.
I loved each and every one but in diffrent ways...Often they rubbed me wrong or I them. It wasn't untill we became older that we realized that what we were doing was damaging .

Then unfortubately, I lost 2 of my brother ..One from an accident and one was murdered.

Wow...All of a sudden it became clear to me...Even those moments of tourment were cherrished memories...But I was so gald I had changed that by the time they were gone....Ya know?

You never know if your words or actions to another will be the last done or spoken!

true..
I worry about that every time they get in their car and leave..
every time i lay down and close my eyes..
every time one of us gets sick and the other can't stay {hospital policy, blah blah}
And, yes, you're right..
Some of my funniest memory of my brother was a bad sibling moment..
I'll elaborate for the sake of boredom right now...

in toa alta {puerto rico} we lived in a rather nice neighborhood..
i'm not sure why i yelled at him, i think he was ignoring a request..
his friend was snickering alot, and it irked, so i told him to get rid of the funnyman, or i would..
after he grudgingly did, we started yelling at each other..one getting louder than the other each time, peppered with Spanglish insults..
His mistake was throwing a scrub brush at me, and missing by inches..
so yes, I smirked and he smirked , I had to say it "motherfucker u better stop smiling and run.."
so yes, he did.. to the garage, we wound up running around the car, screaming insults, for some dumb reason we paused, and he burst into laughter when I sang "all around the mulberry bush", between heavy breathes from laughing he asked 'so, which one's the monkey, which one's the weasel?'
which only made me laugh too

later on our mother arrived, and 3 neighbors told her what happened, saying the whole damn neighborhood thought we were killing each other..
they almost called 9-1-1, and i muttered "yeah, almost..pfft"
she did lecture us telling us the only one who should be shouting and talkin worse than a sailor audibly was her.
apparently my brother and i shared the exact same thought and mumbled
"pop goes the weasel"
we were 17 and 16 ..

That was a wonderful memory..ty for sharing it.

I can't believe I am sharing this one...I was 9 but still to this date...It still makes my cheeks go 100 shades of red....Smiling!

I was very ill when I was small due to a parisitic twin that was removed...As a result of hospital stays..I truely grew to love any medical happenings and wanted to be a nurse when I was small.

One day I was playing nurse...But I didn't have a patient so I pretended I was both...I would say, It is time for your surgery now and as a result...I used a mask to put (ME) to sleep.
As I was doing so, my brother walked in and freakkkkked out! I was thinking he was possessed and I didn't have a clue why.
He was yelling..Get that damn thing off your face!!!!! And yelling for mom to get in there now!

It became a physical war zone..me protecting my mask, him trying to take it.

Once mom came in..All became clear...She was in shock so it seemed...lol
She told me to put it down...Of course I asked why?

OMG! She actually told me...It was my brothers sports cup!!!! Yuckyyyyyy!

I through it acrossed the room and ran crying...lol

That has been a life long tease for my brother to tell at parties..Yippie!
But now it holds much value since hes gone!

Its amazing to Me how even just a simple memory can last a lifetime, especially when that said person is no longer alive. Every day could be our last, so we must live every moment to its fullest just incase we have no more moments left :)

Just wanted to share one of my older poems:

~**~Silently Waiting~**~

Beneath the moon I sit in wonderment of where you are this very moment.

Thinking of all the beautiful things we will have to say when we connect.

Visualizing the beauty that we will create together, once in each others arms.

Looking at the moon in full and knowing that as I look at it, you are doing the same at that very moment.

Understanding we have purpose and have been drawn together, by a much
greater force than our own.

It is through these reflection's that I feel you deeply within my soul.

And await the day that you and I shall embrace, and look deeply into each others eyes.

And feel within our core, the devine connection and true meaning to our love.

With loving thoughts and anxious heart...

I sit, " Silently Awaiting!!! "

call me old...call me old fashioned...but I just cant believe the crassness that is socially acceptable today. Its vulgar and the only virtue I see it holding for people who indulge in it, is shock value. And then I wonder why they need to create shock? Is it more about what they want from the rest of us than it is about what they want for themselves?

I just know i grew up in a generation where women werent allowed to wear pants to public school and boys wore nice shirts and pants with a tie when they took girls out. The t shirts and crazed fashions I see people wearing now makes me regret the invasion of rock and roll...for you see...I believe it was the demise of the american culture and the end of family values... :deepthoughts::deepthoughts::deepthoughts::rant::r ant::rant::bandkiss::beatles:

Pinky swears are binding agreements! :flyaway:

Softness, I don't think rock 'n roll created the downward spiral our society has been on for a while now. I sincerely doubt one single event led to where we are now.

I've actually compared music from a couple of decades ago to music now and the difference in crassness and general shock value is very apparent. Obviously, this isn't scientific and has a pretty high DUH! factor, but bear with me.

For example, the rock band Cinderella had a very popular song called "Shake Me." It was, of course, about sex. But nowhere in the lyrics does it call women a ho or bitch or talk about wanting to grab parts of their anatomy. See below:

All right yea
I met this girl around quarter to ten
We made it once she said "make me again"
She wrapped her love around me all night long
In the mornin' we were still goin' strong

Now let me tell ya it sure feels good
First time I saw that girl I knew it would
Now let me tell ya it sure felt right
No pullin' teeth she didn't want to fight she said

Shake me
All night
She said
Shake me
Shake it don't break it baby
Shake me
All night
She said
All night long
All night long baby

Screamed and scratched and rolled out of the bed
I never really got her out of my head
And now and then she makes those social calls
Gives me a squeeze gets me kickin' the walls

Now let me tell ya it still feels tight
And we were shakin' after every bite
I feel her comin' in the middle of the night
screamin' higher

Shake me
All night
She said
Shake me
Shake it don't break it baby
Shake me
All night
She said
Shake me
ooo yea

All night, keep the fire burnin' cause we're doin' all right
All night, come on and shake it right

Shake me
Shake me
Shake me
Shake me
Shake me
All night
She said
Shake me
Shake it don't break it baby
Shake me
All night
She said
Shake me
ooo yea

Shake me
Shake me
Shake me
Shake me
Shake me

Now take Eminem's song "Ass Like That" to compare it to. See below:

The way you shake it, I can't believe it
I ain't never seen an ass like that
The way you move it, you make my pee pee go
Doing, doing, doing

I don't believe it, it's almost too good to be true
I ain't never seen an ass like that
The way you move it, you make my pee pee go
Doing, doing, doing

The way she moves she's like a belly dancer
She's shaking that ass to the new Nelly jams, I
Think someones at the door
But I don't think I'm gonna answer
Police saying freeze
Doing, doing, doing
What do you mean freeze?
Please, I'm a human being, I have needs
I'm not done, not till I'm finish peeing
I am not resisting arrest, I am agreeing Mr. Officer
I'm already on my knees
I can't get on the ground any further, it's impossible for me
And do not treat me like a murderer, I just like to pee, pee, pee
Yes, I make r&b, I sing song it go
Ring-a-chong, a-ching-chong-chong-chong-ching
Psych, I joke, I joke, I kidd, I kidd
If I offend I'm sorry, please, please forgive
For I am Triumph, the puppet dog, I am a mere puppet
I can get away with anything I sing, you will love it

[Chorus]

Jessica Simpson, looks oh so temptin'
Nick I ain't never seen an ass like that
Everytime I see that show on MTV my pee pee goes
Doing, doing, doing

Mary-Kate and Ashley used to be so wholesome
Now they're getting older, they're starting to grow bum bums
I go to the movies and sit down with my pop corn
Police saying freeze
Doing doing doing
What do you mean freeze?
Geez, I just got my seat
I have ticket, look I put away, my zipper's zipped
Please do not remove me from this movie theater please
I did not even get to see Mary-Kate shower scene
I didn't mean to be obscene or make a great big scene
And don't treat me like I'm pee wee herman, this movies PG
Mr. Officer, I demand to see my attorney
I will simply plead innocent, cop a plea and be free
Free, yes, free, right back on the streets
What you mean my lawyer's with Michael, he's too busy?
I am Triumph, Britney Spears has shoulders like a man
And I can say that and you'll laugh cuz that is a puppet on my hand

[Chorus]

Hilary Duff is not quite old enough so
I ain't never seen a butt like that
Maybe next year I'll say ass and she'll make my pee pee go
Doing, doing, doing

The way she moves she dances like a go-go
In that video she sings get out you bozo
I need a new boyfriend, hi my name is JoJo
Police saying freeze
Doing, doing, doing
What do you mean freeze?
My computers would be seized and my keys to my ranch
I just baked cookies Mr. Officer, looky, take a whiff of these
Here, I make Jesus juice, take a sip of this
Nobody is safe from me, no not even me
I don't even know if I can say the word pee pee, pee
On the radio, but I think I did
Janet, is that a breast, I think I just saw a tit
Psych, I joke, I joke, I kidd, I kidd
I don't think my joke is working, I must flee quick
Get to the chopper, everybody get out
I am not Triumph, I am Arnold, get down

[Chorus]

So Gwen Stefani, will you pee pee on me please?
I ain't never seen an ass like that
Cuz the way you move it, you make my pee pee go
Doing, doing, doing

What the Fuck is wrong with you? (ha!)

Both songs are sexually motivated, but what a difference makes from the late 80s...early 90s (I don't remember exactly when "Shake Me" came out) to the 2000s in how that is represented.

I'm not saying that things haven't gotten out of hand with music and that the shock value hasn't skyrocketed. I agree that both things are true. I just don't think that music is the sole culprit in our demise as a courteous and respectful society. I mean, has anyone SEEN reality TV nowadays?

What downward spiral?

I've never really understand the argument that society is worse off than it used to be.

I'm a lot less concerned about some kids wearing crass t-shirts than I would have been during the time when there was segregation and it was socially acceptable to use racist language.

I think some of the concerns and issues are different, but yes, I think it's worse than it was. Back in the day, parents felt safe in the knowledge that neighbors and friends would look out for their kids and let them play from daylight to dark all over the neighborhood. Now? How far do parents let their children get before panic sets in? There's a reason for that.

The tee shirts don't bother me very much. As to the racist language, it's still being used. Blatantly. Proudly. In many areas. Whether it's deemed socially acceptable doesn't mean a hill 'o beans to those that use it.

People had more respect for one another then, in their own social circles specifically. Manners were taught. Parents didn't have to worry about kids hearing vulgar language on the streets or radio as much as they do now. As far as we have come, I think some steps have been taken backwards.

I think those are both pretty awesome. And I'd have no problem whatsoever wearing a kilt. I'd do it! I'm just glad it's no longer a case of butches having to fit what society deems ALL women must wear. I love the individuality for women all along the spectrum, for butches and femmes and anyone else.

A trade-off, no?
I think some things have gone downhill, particularly as there have been more two-parent working homes and lesss time spent with kids. And I'll even throw in the unbelievable spoiling of kids and the way few seem to have a solid work ethic.

There are a lot of things that are better these days.

But mostly, everything still needs work.

The tee shirts don't bother me very much. As to the racist language, it's still being used. Blatantly. Proudly. In many areas. Whether it's deemed socially acceptable doesn't mean a hill 'o beans to those that use it.

[B][COLOR="DarkRed"]I became sensitive to what is on tshirts when i was raising my child. People out and about would wear the crassist sayings..or worse...pictures on their Ts. And there I was with a super inquisitive kid who took every detail in of the world...and wanted to know what it meant...or why they said that. And of course my child did not have alot of filters (she gets it honestly. Her momma is outspoken too) and sometimes she would stomp her little femme foot and shout out "thats WRONG!" or something there of. I can laugh about it now, but I think about the other kids who saw those shirts and had no one around to explain cultural values. And it gets me too, that we put some stuff on kids shirts...I have seen little girls wearing some things that made me stop dead in my tracks and stare at the impossible...in my world, no one would let a 8 year old wear something about partying down...

oh well..I am old and wicked in my sensibilities. To each his or her own...

Work, yes. I absolutely agree with that.

I won't get into the spoiling of children nowadays because it rubs me raw in all the wrong places. People let 5 year olds run around at night around these parts. Disgusting.

Interesting how my T shirt statement went off into all these areas!

Concerning crass things on T's .... I don't like it. Why people think they can walk around with something that could be offensive to others is just another example of how narcissistic and rude our society has become. People don't seem to realize there are other people in the world! Manners don't seem to be very important any longer. Frankly, I don't really care to listen to someone using foul language all of the time. It's more about respect for others, commom courtesy..... than anything else.

Parents seem to have forgotten that its OK to say No to their kids! Or, that being a parent is a friendship. It isn't.

Of course I would have more of a problem with racist, sexist, etc. sayings on T's.....

And to answer a question, Meatless Monday is something I jumped into a month or so ago. For meat eaters, it's a pledge to go meatless one day a week to reduce environmental impact. Plus, it's healthier.
More info if you're interested. (http://www.meatlessmonday.com)

if u saw Desperate housewives sunday...or saturday night.....probably sunday...you'd know that Susan catches Katherine with the ex-stripper in a morning-after kiss....she proceeds to tell her boyfriend that Katherine is a "leprechaun", Which of course, her boyfriend stares like she lost her fucking mind, It was rather funny....cuz the guy dated katherine, and he is now having masculinity issues ....dealing with katherine's "leprechaun" status, she didnt help much, and he blurted "Are you implying I screw like a woman?"..
don't ask why I watch this show...please...lol
{there's plenty of gay/lesbian subject matter in it}
So yeah, in the lexicon of lesbianism, it's no longer Lebanese....
