There are parts of this that are hilarious! Got it from a friend of mine in email....and had to share!
*** Adult Truths ***
1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.
2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.
3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.
4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.
5. How are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?
6. Was learning cursive really necessary?
7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on # 5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.
8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.
9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.
10. Bad decisions make good stories.
11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.
12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection - again.
13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page technical report that I swear I did not make any changes to.
14. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.
15. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.
16. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lite than Kay.
17. I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.
18. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.
19. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said?
20. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers and sisters!
21. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever..
22. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.
23. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'd bet everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time.
24. People who forward e- mail without deleting the tons of previous recipients should be shot and then tarred and feathered.
25. The first testicular guard, the "Cup," was used in Hockey in 1874 and the first helmet was used in 1974. That means it only took 100 years for men to realize that their brain is also important....Ladies quit Laughing!

I'm usually very careful in the Kitchen...
Today being a somewhat crappy Day, I was distracted, and somehow beyond my wildest understanding, a big glob of piping Hot Rosemary-infused Butter, not Margarine [shut up, I'm a foodie !!] landed on the web area of my left hand...
A goopy glob not easy or quick to shake off, instinct kicked in while I was hopping around like a shmuck, and swiped it off...
A flash of curses followed, realizing the Huge mistake... :bigcry:
While gritting teeth from sting/pain, let the cool water wash over it, small relief...
My negligence shall be chastised tomorrow I'm sure, Fridays, end of month are busy with everyone that make decisions for the next Month in Dialysis...and since the burn is on my dialysis arm....
Doc got his skivvies in a wad when he saw my henna tat ..
Maybe he'll throw a tantrum this time...:explode:

Is it sad that I want an office job just to attempt to do half of this list?
Office work dull? None of your colleagues appreciate your humour?
Amuse yourself. Points are awarded on a degree of difficulty basis. You can award yourself extra points for creative execution.
ONE-POINT GAGS
Run one lap around the office at top speed
Groan out loud in the bathroom cubicle
Ignore the first five people who say 'good morning' to you.
Phone someone in the office you barely know, leave your name and say "Just called to say I can't talk right now. Bye"
To signal the end of a conversation, clamp your hands over your ears and grimace.
Leave your zipper open for one hour. If anyone points it out, say, "Sorry, I really prefer it this way"
Walk sideways to the photocopier.
While riding an elevator, gasp dramatically every time the doors open.
THREE-POINT GAGS
Say to your boss, "I like your style" and shoot him with double-barrelled fingers.
Babble incoherently at a fellow employee then ask, "Did you get all that? I don't want to have to repeat it"
Kneel in front of the water cooler and drink directly from the nozzle
Shout random numbers while someone is counting.
FIVE POINT GAGS
At the end of a meeting, suggest that, for once, it would be nice to conclude with the singing of the national anthem (extra points if you actually launch into it yourself).
Walk into a very busy person's office and while they watch you with growing irritation, turn the light switch on/off 10 times.
While an office mate is out, move their chair into the elevator.
In a meeting or crowded situation, slap your forehead repeatedly and utter, "Shut up, darn it, all of you just shut up"!
At lunchtime, get down on your knees and announce "As God is my witness, I'll never go hungry again".
Carry your keyboard over to your colleague and ask "You wanna trade"?
Repeat the following conversation 10 times to the same person: "Do you hear that?" "What?" "Never mind, it's gone now."
Come to work in army fatigues and when asked why, say, "I can't talk about it".
Posing as a maitre d', call a colleague and tell him he's won a lunch for four at a local restaurant. Let him go.
Hang a two-foot long piece of toilet roll from the back of your pants and act genuinely surprised when someone points it out.
Rollerblade around the floor throwing sweets.

 Looks like I'm gonna have to severely Limit my coconut water intake [strictly limited with Potassium] :crybaby:
-=--=- Facts(and some Myths) about Coconut Water -=- -=-
The talk: It speeds up your metabolism.
The truth: "This is an urban legend," says Liz Applegate, Ph.D., director of sports nutrition at the University of California in Davis. "There is no valid research proving it."
Another, albeit contradictory, myth: Coconut water makes you fat. This bad rap came from coconut milk, which is made from pressed coconut meat and packs 445 calories per cup, most from saturated fat. The water (the fluid in young coconuts) has only 46 calories per cup. Of course, for a truly trimming sip, opt for zero-calorie water, coffee or tea.
The talk: It's nature's sport drink
The truth: It's a fine post-workout chug for the average active Jane, but it falls short for more hard-core athletes.
The gist: When you exercise, you sweat out a lot of sodium and some potassium. You should replace both after intense sweat sessions (more than an hour a day), so your muscles contract properly. Coconut water is a potassium powerhouse, delivering roughly 600 milligrams per cup, about 175 mg more than a banana does and 13 times what most sport drinks offer. "The problem is that it has only about 30 milligrams of sodium per cup; we lose much more than that during a long workout," Applegate says. Thus, serious athletes may need a sport beverage with a higher sodium-to-potassium ratio, such as Gatorade or Powerade Ion4; lighter exercisers can rehydrate with whatever they like best, including coconut water or plain H²O.
The talk: It makes you look younger
The truth: Coconut water contains cytokinins, plant hormones shown to slow the aging process in plants and fruit flies, according to a study in Molecules. Alas, the benefits aren't yet proven in humans. The search for the fountain of youth continues.
The talk: It's a hangover helper
The truth: There's a reason the morning after a bender is so painful: Alcohol dehydrates you, leading to nausea and headaches. Like any drink, coconut water refills your H²O stores, but plain water does the job just as well, notes Samir Zakhari, Ph.D., director of the Division of Metabolism and Health Effects at the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. As for electrolytes, our kidneys preserve them when we drink, so there's no need to replace them with coconut water. If the taste lifts your postspirits spirits, go for it; but you can save cash (and calories) with the tap.
The talk: It protects your ticker
The truth: Diets high in potassium can help lower blood pressure and promote heart health, says Andrea Giancoli, R.D., spokeswoman for the American Dietetic Association. Coconut water is a good source of the mineral, but it's better to get it from whole foods like veggies (spinach, sweet potatoes) and low-fat milk, which supply additional heart-healthy nutrients such as fiber and vitamin D.
Three more ways to crack this nut [no Pun]
1. Coconut milk: A sweet alternative to regular dairy, coconut milk is derived from the white meat of a mature coconut, and it provides almost as much healthy potassium as coconut water does. But beware its high saturated-fat content: One cup has about 43 grams. A few stores that cater to Health-conscience people, can have half-gallon coconut Milk cartons ready for consumption, some with added flavors for the adventurous.
2. Coconut milk beverage Diluted with water, it contains about five times fewer calories than conventional coconut milk. It tastes richer than coconut water.
3. Shredded coconut: Coconut meat isn't as high in potassium or sodium as coconut water, and it has about 388 calories and 22 g of saturated fat per cup. If you're tempted to cover yours in chocolate, opt for a snack-sized candy bar dipped in antioxidant-rich dark chocolate, which has only 80 calories and 3.5 g of saturated fat. (Don't mind if we do, Mounds bar!)

Why is it that most places where you can get into a Work Study Program have f*cked up politics? United Way support the Boy Scouts of America, so that is out. American Red Cross is great, but they don't need anyone in my area. American Heart Association here is so disorganized (I have done volunteer work there) it would give me hives. Crap, crap, crappity crap.

An elegant long-awaited Royal wedding of the son of a once very Loved Princess [remember she was divorced] that passed away Tragic, a sweet simple yet Proper for Royalty wedding(I do like the dress, William didn't play "tonsil hockey", and yet he still Blushed), a very nice "Rags"-to-Royalty tale culminated[Catherine was a 'commoner']...Or...Bombings, death, Depressing stories of tornadoes, floods, Birth Certificates, Donald Trumps hair transplant, civil Wars, shitty Gas prices because we are the crack-addict $6 whores of Oil world to Saudi Arabia's Pimp....
Hmmmmmmm.....
I'll stick to ridiculously "lavish" Royal wedding...

Perfect child that she is, she of course lent it to me to use in the hosp. It took me almost three days to figure out how to get around the net nanny and get to this site :| And today they let me go home

The strangest thing......
Our home phone # is still a Cali area code and number since it's associated with my kids cell phone.
In the four years she's had that # we've never had wrong numbers or weird phone calls.
I was in the hospital from the 25th till this afternoon and three different out of state calls came thru and wouldn't talk when my kid picked up.
She called them back, and one was disconnected? One went to an answering machine and never returned the call, and one just kept giving this very odd noise when it was called back.
Hmmmmm shades of Twilight Zone - doo doo doo doo doo doo :seeingstars:

Many years ago I read, and recently purchased and viewed the movie, 'Love in the Time of Cholora'...I am still bewildered by how a man can love a woman for 52 years...
I say this only because in my lifetime, which has been a pretty long one thus far - I have never heard of that kind of love, by either man nor woman. I am speaking here of the biological man and woman, or for that matter - any kind of love, excluding familial love, by which, I mean, mother & child, sibling, love.
How does one love so long with unrequited love? I shouldn't wonder tho. I've loved someone since 1971 - what, that makes 40 years this July 4th...so, I guess I'm a close second to the man in the novel. Which means, I shoudn't be asking this question. It is evident. One can love forever, whether it is requited, or not...

Flavored water tastes like ass.
Not good ass.
That is all.
Jake,
I thought the same thing until I found Sobe water. I wasn't one for the lifewaters, but tasted this and it's awesome. My fridge is filled with this and is the only flavor I choose to drink (acai fruit punch). You don't know it's flavored water. Give it a try.

Well you see G.. I got confused when it said Raspberry. However, I have learned My lesson. Henceforth, it will be just plain non-ass-flavored water.
:|
Not everyone can take the raspberry.
I stick primarily to drink mixes and add them to my water. Great Value makes one called Early Orange Rise (or something along those lines) that's pretty good on its own, but I like to add a little lemon juice to it because it tastes a like Tang and I used to love that stuff.
Good childhood memories are priceless, yanno?

I actually enjoy the packaging more than I enjoy purchasing the gift for the inside...lol Usually I will cover the package in brown paper, then I will decorate it with the mandalas I like to draw and color. After I glue or tape the mandalas on, I sometimes add other little things to the package, like colorful feathers, beads, etc. Then I seal the ENTIRE thing with a very clear packing tape, which holds all the decorations intact while also making it slightly waterproof. No smudging the prettys before the package reaches its destination. :)

There are 9 of me. I figured there would be more, since I know a girl in my hometown with the same first, middle, and last name as me, PLUS the same exact birthdate. Well my friend that I've known for thirty years that had the brain cancer died Wednesday night. His name was John. He was a veteran for both the Navy and the Marines. He was an instructor and taught young men how to survive in jungles and glaciers. He was an amazing and positive man. He always had a smile on his face. It didn't matter how long it was between seeing each other, it was like no time had passed and we just picked up where we left off. I suppose that's the mark of a true friend. When they found the brain cancer he had 5 tumors in his brain. One on his neck and two in his lungs. The last time I saw him I asked him how he was doing and he said he now had 17 tumors in his brain, and I quote, "but I'm still standing" and he smiled so brightly. He passed less than two weeks later, but it was nearly 5 months longer than the 90 days the doctors originally gave him.
His wife and him met when she was 13 years old. (Her sister is my best friend from high school). I literally watched them fall in love. They married after she graduated and they had one beautiful daughter. I honestly don't know how she will get through this.
Sad times... but I'm glad he passed quickly. I'm honored to have known him and to have been included in their family.

"An unmarried 40-year-old woman turns to a turkey baster in order to become pregnant.
Seven years later, she reunites with her best friend, who has been living with a secret:

SO....
I called my mom to say happy mothers day and she didn't seem her self. She wasn't quite happy to hear from me, acting aloof, and being slighty weird...
Thinking.. hmmmm haven't done anything to piss her off... talked to her just last week....
hmmmmm...
*So, what cha doing mom?*
*Eating grapes and watching TV*
hmmmm
What did you do today?
*Sat here eating grapes and watching TV*
hmmmmm
How are you feeling mom?
*oh... I'm good, feel good*
You're in the hospital, right?
*YES, but it wasn't my fault, I didn't do ANYTHING*
How long have you been in the hospital?
*Just since yesterday, and I get out tomorrow..., we think we have this figured out and did I tell you that I'm up to 94lbs? *
94 wow, that's wonderful, and you soun.... MOM... why are you in the hospital and what did you figure out?
Lololol...
She sounded like a kid with her hand in the cookie jar.... The Dr's think the have figured out what's going on... She goes into the hospital, gets high doses of steroids and gets better. She comes home, finishes her corse of steroids and three days later the COPD combinded with her alergies kick back HARD and her lungs stop working... It takes three days for the steroids to flush out of her system... They are going to try a low maintains dose of roids and see if that works...
She was so funny... She said that my older brother acted the same way that I did, and it wasn't fair because she couldn't get away with ANYTHING.....

This morning I encountered this black bear near my house. I was with two other women and we were watching it with awe and curiosity, sort of following at a distance. She was alone at the time. Suddenly she turned around, stood up on her hind legs for a minute, and then charged at us!
Now, I remember hearing somewhere that you shouldn't run from bears. Hmmm. It took us 3 seconds to decide to run to the nearest door of the house which was not far at all. Of course, I had to be like the girl in the horror flick who trips and falls at the worst possible moment. The main difference is that I got up immediately!
Shortly after, we discovered the reason for her angst. We were standing directly between her and her cubs! They soon disappeared but the mama showed up again later and took a swim in our pond!
Very exciting!

There was an article in the paper today about how the 3 members of the town council of my hometown, who were caught soliciting bribes and pleaded guilty to the charges, are now asking for leniency in their sentencing.
The reasons for their requests include: one who lost his professional license as a result of this and his business; another who has encountered severe financial losses as a result of this; and the last who ended up being hospitalized with severe depression and alcoholism.
Throughout this ordeal, I have yet to hear one of them say something like....I'm sorry for having abused the power of my office for my own personal gain or I'm sorry for abusing the publics trust in my character or I'm sorry for something other than the impact it has had on them.
I miss the days when people who pleaded guilty did so with remorse. And they stood tall, fully aware of and ready to accept their punishment for breaking the law.
I dont do well with todays whiney, wimpy corrupt politicians who behave like victims. Makes me want to double the appropriate sentence just so maybe the extra time behind bars will give them time to grow a backbone.

And not just politicians either....whatever happened to being able to say "I screwed up, and I'm sorry" and mean it?
I'm starting to think that the willingness to take responsibility - for one's mistakes as well as one's obligations - is one of the most critical defining characteristics in maturity.

General William Devereaux: The time has come for one man to suffer in order to save hundreds of lives.
Anthony 'Hub' Hubbard: One Man? What about two, huh? What about six? How about public executions?
General William Devereaux: Feel free to leave whenever you like, Agent Hubbard.
Anthony 'Hub' Hubbard: Come on General, you've lost men, I've lost men, but you - you, you *can't* do this! What, what if they don't even want the sheik, have you considered that? What if what they really want is for us to herd our children into stadiums like we're doing? And put soldiers on the street and have Americans looking over their shoulders? Bend the law, shred the Constitution just a little bit? Because if we torture him, General, we do that and everything we have fought, and bled, and died for is over. And they've won. They've already won!
General William Devereaux: Escort him out.

You have the right not to be tortured, not to be murdered, rights that you took away from Tariq Husseini. You have those rights because of the men who came before you who wore that uniform. Because of the men and women who are standing here right now waiting for you to give them the order to fire. Give them the order, General.
General William Deveroux: Do you think that I would hesitate to kill you, or every Federal Agent in this room, if I thought it was in the best interest of my country?
Anthony 'Hub' Hubbard: No, no, no, you wouldn't hesitate, I know that. But they might.

... how the hell little bitty kids are ever able to open their snack puddings by themselves.
I had the quad pack for dinner tonight (tapioca pudding) ... I stood in the kitchen and wrestled with getting all four of them opened before I started eating them so I could enjoy them one by one, no pause ... just back to back pudding ... and not get stressed because the next one was so difficult to break in to ...
Lined 'em up, knocked 'em over ... that is the way to do it.
It was a good time. LOL!

I always used my shampoo to wash the rest of my body while in the shower. It was just easier to lather up my hair and use the extra suds on my body instead of soap. Then I saw the words printed on my shampoo bottle “for extra volume and fullness”. No wonder I can’t lose weight! Now I’m using my dish soap in the shower. It’s guaranteed to remove fat and other unwanted deposits that other soaps leave behind!

I do not like Dunkin Donuts and I generally avoid Starbucks on principle...
But I must confess - my local Starbucks is currently brewing 100% Kona Coffee and I can not resist it if I am downtown (as I was this morning).

Clouds and Waves
Mother, the folk who live up in the clouds call out to me-
"We play from the time we wake till the day ends.
We play with the golden dawn, we play with the silver moon."
I ask, "But how am I to get up to you ?"
They answer, "Come to the edge of the earth, lift up your
hands to the sky, and you will be taken up into the clouds."
"My mother is waiting for me at home, "I say, "How can I leave
her and come?"
Then they smile and float away.
But I know a nicer game than that, mother.
I shall be the cloud and you the moon.
I shall cover you with both my hands, and our house-top will
be the blue sky.
The folk who live in the waves call out to me-
"We sing from morning till night; on and on we travel and know
not where we pass."
I ask, "But how am I to join you?"
They tell me, "Come to the edge of the shore and stand with
your eyes tight shut, and you will be carried out upon the waves."
I say, "My mother always wants me at home in the everything-
how can I leave her and go?"
They smile, dance and pass by.
But I know a better game than that.
I will be the waves and you will be a strange shore.
I shall roll on and on and on, and break upon your lap with
laughter.
And no one in the world will know where we both are.
