Manna from heaven. No actually Dreyer's Orange Cream Sherbet J bought for me while at Walmart picking up my meds. Still that's a pretty good answer to prayer when you consider I never really actually pray, just sort of bounce back and forth somewhere in between beg and demand. I've come down with some sort of crud and lost my voice. I'm sure my children are elated, happy to be on vacation, but for me it really sucks. Homemade turkey noodle soup. J didn't just throw some dried pasta in the pot and call it good, she made the noodles from scratch. The kids made two turkeys and will eat the white meat but don't prefer it, and only the wings. So because white meat doesn't keep all that well in the fridge what couldn't be sliced for sandwiches the next couple of days she made into soup and gave it all to me. I have so much soup now it turned in to a puzzle getting it all in the freezer.

Dare lemon creme cookies and a cup of coffee with 1/2 and 1/2 for dessert. These cookies are made by a Canadian company and are so good, better than any sandwich cookies made here that I've found so far. All their creme sandwich cookies are and now we can get them at Big Lots for a really good price and fresher than any of those sold at the grocery store chain mega giants too. If diabetes becomes my killer I imagine it will be in large part because of these cookies. Yum!

Open Nature chicken Sausage and Pepper, Cauliflower Crust Pizza. Extreemly thin crust, not very filling, more like an appetizer unless you eat the whole thing but so good. I also tried a bit of their Chicken Alfredo, but didn't care for it. No worry about wasting though because my grandson loved it. Healthiest thing in the world no but it's got to be a better nutritional choice for him than a happy meal even if you do make the drink milk or juice rather than a soft drink.

Serving of doctored up Prego Spaghetti Sauce -
1 part Italian sausage and garlic
1 part no added sugar

With a left over little bit of each -
purple onion
sliced mushrooms
diced red bell pepper
ground hamburger
tomato sauce
diced tomato and
extra spices/seasonings so as to not waste and make the sauce stretch a bit further.

This over Barilla gluten-free spaghetti. On the side black olives and broccoli florets. For dessert sliced canned pears with a sprinkle of cinnamon and lime flavored caffeinated sparkling water to drink.

We cook sometimes but I think tonight we will just go visit a fav diner-type food-cart place and invest in keeping a small business afloat.

The boi brought us some delicious Mexican food from a food truck he's been frequenting near work. We had:

- chicken and carne asada fajitas with peppers and onions

- refried beans that had that creamy texture that lets you just know they were made with lard
- rice with vegetables in it

The meats were juicy and the vegetables were all so fresh! Everything was flavorful and it was all cooked perfectly.
