Last night was Naan bread dipped in olive oil, za'atar and hummus, with chopped olives, chunks of feta, tomatoes. It was the perfect finger food on a hot day.

Have gained 10 lbs of the 16 lbs I lost from the surgeries. So I have to give up the Naan bread, Oreos, Drumsticks, cinnamon bread, Ritz crackers and more. I have lots of fruits and veggies to help me withdraw. It was fun while it lasted.

We have an excellent gay sports bar in Atlanta (woofsatlanta.com). It looks remarkably like the one you went to - LOL. They have really good food, a varied menu and a decent beer selection. Lots of big screen TVs. They bill themselves as "gay", but there are plenty of lesbians and other members of the tribe who go there. I like it a lot. That said, I also like watching on big screen TVs in someone's home, especially someone who makes good snacks.

Tonight on the menu is a chicken soup recipe that calls for rice, ginger, turmerick, bok choy, fresh chile peppers and more. It's the first time I'm trying this recipe and am looking forward to it. It's suppose to be good for colds, but I just want some spicy comfort food and this looks like it will hit the spot.

I don't have the fresh peppers, but I have some chili oil that should work well.

I decided to make something more like tofu guisado. I don’t have all of the ingredients, but I think we’ll enjoy it.

Yesterday I made Brown Sugar Pecan cake with Toasted Coconut and a sprinkling of milk chocolate chips and brown sugared cinnamon on top. Canna oil improves it, lol ������

I made delicious vegetable soup in the crockpot last week, and I froze several portions. I made fermented lemons a few weeks ago, and the tangy flavor brightens up the flavor, since, you know, crock pot recipes often need a little something. I’ll add baked tofu, and I’ll think I’ll serve it over farro rather than rice.
