I had a salad: bacon, sunflower seeds, carrots, cabbage, romaine, kale, green onions and sweet onion and citrus dressing. I also nibbled on some Made in Nature organic snacks: nut fusion pomegranate ginger, coconut chips maple vanilla, coconut chips toasted cinnamon and nut fusion maple balsamic.
I have a nagging sense of tape wormery so I'm trying to cut it off at the pass before I go hog wild.

I took my youngest to my favorite restaurant, Nine Mile. It's Jamaican fusion..
We started out with chips and 3 dips, fire roasted tomato salsa with mango, smoked gouda queso and hummus. I even love their presentation...but it was soo good.
My lunch was chocolate balsamic glazed chicken with a lovely sauce, many veggies and feta cheese.
We filled up on the starter so it's dinner tonight. If I ever get hungry. If not I snacked on a soft pretzel stick I got at TJs this morning.

I cooked ramen noodles but left off the seasoning pack, used garlic powder and black pepper, raw carrots, spinach, hot sauce, and I threw a can of Cream of mushroom soup over it. Mixed it all up and topped with Parmesan cheese. Yummy!!!!:eatinghersheybar:

I made an fresh batch of my summer salad, tonight, which I sometimes have a small serving for supper but most always have it for lunch.... because it's high protein and low carbohydrate, which satisfies my hunger.
I precook and fluff a large quantity of organic quinoa, which is a super grain rich in minerals and elements not found in other types of grains. Then I add jasmine rice, high-protien pasta shells, which creates the base of the salad.
Then I add red, orange, yellow and green peppers, which are cut into small pieces. Then add finely chopped sun sugar tomatoes, sweet onion, minced celery and tiny roasted cloves of garlic.
I mix it all together with a non-dairy coconut based Caesar dressing and add a small amount of freshly grated ginger.
It is delicious and very tasty and very filling.
So, that's what I'm having tonight for supper.
An small dish of my home made summer salad. :)

I'm roasting some Brussel sprouts, lamb, and small baby potatoes, for supper tonight. But I'm also making a small apple strudel too. I'm not sure if the ingredients I'm using will turn out to be as tasty as I imagine it might be, so I'm doing a test run on my recipe: I'm using tiny jalapeño's and incorporating them into the pie crust. I was thinking that Apples, cinnamon and jalapeño's would make an interesting apple strudel. Hopefully, it is an amazing creation of tastiness.

Let me preface this by saying my youngest daughter is an amazing cook.
She loves hibachi so she got the ingredients necessary and made some for breakfast (she has my cast iron stomach) and I took home a plate for lunch.
She made shrimp, beef tips, fried rice and sauteed veggies. It was so.friggin.good.
We had grilled ribeye steaks, smashed roasted potatoes, and corn on the cob.
Yummy!!

I made One Pot Rice Bowl, at least that's what I call it. Tonight it has a blend of basmati rice and red & white quinoa, cannellini beans, spinach, white sweet potato, garlic, onion, red & yellow sweet pepper, portabellas and various herbs & spices. I usually add some chunked avocado to the bowl and whatever chopped raw veggies I have on hand, right now it's baby asparagus stalks.

I made lentil soup in the crock pot yesterday, and we'll have it tonight, my just had a baby two weeks ago neighbor has a portion, and we'll eat it again once or twice when I remember it's in the freezer.
Sauté onions, or onions and peppers, with salt and pepper and a generous quarter cup of garam masala.
Add one cup of lentils, four cups of water, and four cubes of Rapunzel vegetable bullion to the slow cooker, and set it to low.
When the garam masala smells cooked, add the veggies to the slow cooker and ignore it for six or seven hours.
When the lentils are pretty soft, add one bag of frozen chopped spinachand one can of coconut milk.
We eat this with cauliflower rice or some frozen combo of grains from Trader Joe, and if it's spicy, we add a dollop of plain yogurt.
