I have a thing about using up leftovers and not wasting food...so tonight I made homemade soup with yesterday's leftover beef tenderloin, potatoes, onion, garlic, a little celery, green beans, diced tomatoes, chicken stock (I was out of beef :) ), white and yellow corn, peas, a little tomato paste and a splash of worcestershire sauce. It was yummy if I do say so myself....and the velociraptors agreed.

To go with it, I made a batch of cheese biscuits from scratch (again...using up the leftover 4 cheese mexican blend from our nachos last week). My biscuits are ugly, but tasty. I've made so many thousands of batches that I don't bother with rolling them out and cutting them in pretty circles. I pat the dough flat, cut it with a knife and there ya' go....square biscuits. Deal with it! :cheesy:

Whole wheat hotdawg buns toasted with real butter. Tanka buffalo hotdawgs warmed in organic chili. I topped it with some shredded cheese, diced red bell peppers, jalapeño peppers (no seeds) and tomatoes with a little mustard.

It was so good I decided to give it a name - hot poppin' pepper dawg. Yum....

This morning, before it got 85 outside, I harvested some for dinner. I was also puttering in her yard so there are fresh cut yellow roses and lavender for the table.

I came home from work, gave the too fat kat some treats (routine)

and looked in the fridge for a snack. Then I saw the hummus I made yesterday. So I pulled the bowl out, moved over to the island.....and ate the hummus with a spoon, right out of the bowl until I decided *this is disgusting*. The only meat I ate all of there was the smoked turkey because I thought it would be dry if I had to reheat slices of it

It was awesome! I read some of the reviews and adapted it a lil' better for us. I didn't use the cumin or the romano cheese... I opted for extra pepper & LIGHT Tony Cachere's and parmesean cheese. It was yummy!

Quite often I don't have dinner. I'm more of a grazer. But tonight I had turkey salad (like chicken salad) rolled up in a whole wheat low cal/carb tortilla with honey mustard and lettuce. Damn it was good :)

I made Smooth and I German spaetzle with Swiss cheese and caramelized sweet onions. On the side I sauteed organic Swiss chard and basil from the garden! Mmmmm.

Babyback ribs, the meat just slid off the bones, I love the low and slow! Potato salad, baked beans, white corn on the cob, served with ice tea. Dessert was Mom's apple pie and homemade frozen vanilla custard. Good stuff!

We call it that because it's got "everything but the kitchen sink" in them.

I made a handful of naked spaghetti...

While it was cooking, I sliced up a green onion all pretty like, grabbed a handful of frozen veggies (I think I got corn, peas, sprouts, carrots, red peppers and a few water chestnuts), crumbled up a bit of salmon left from Sunday... Whipped an egg and made the really thin pancakey sort of things like they make for sushi, which got crumbled up....

Drained noodles, (left a bit of the water in the pan for later) put a skillet on, added a splash of sesame oil, a dash of five spice and a couple of cashews... Tossed in the veggies, then the salmon and eggs, then the noodles. Was a little dry so I added a bit of noodle water...

It was Teh NOM....

Might have given the Lynxy kitty a bit of salmon too... Cause she really really likes salmon...

Tomorrow I'll nuke what's left the KS Noodles and put an egg on top...
